This was our first experience with food from Ethiopia. It was a very enjoyable experience. I am a vegeterian and they had alot of options. This is a family owned and operated restaurant, and they put their heart and soul into it. Try it.

While vactioning in Myrtle Beach this past June we drove pass this restaurant and decided to eat. My husband is from Niger and me being an American thought he would enjoy some food close to home. Before we went in I read to my family all of the glowing reviews about this place, we couldn't wait. Boy were we surprised! Because I had read all of the posts on the way in, when we got there my 7year old said "excuse me where are all of your customers?" because the restaurant was empty, the lady who turned out to be the owner snapped at him with "if you don't want to eat here then go somewhere else". My jaw dropped I quickly tried to explain to her that my son meant no harm she turned her back to me and said sit where you want and walked off. I wanted to leave but my husband was so psyched about eating there in the beginning. He explained that her attitude was of a village woman and to disregard her rudeness. She returned with menus and relaxed just a bit after finding out my husband was from Africa too. The food tasted as if she had heated it up in the microwave, some potatoes were hot and some were refrigerator cold in the inside and same with the meat. The seasoning was bland. This was with all four of our different plates. It was awful! I will NEVER EVER go there again and I seriously think someone is writing the reviews for her because they couldn't have been further from the truth. If you want an ethnic dish in that area please GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

Redi-et is on the corner near the old Pavilion area in Myrtle Beach proper. It's a restaurant my family will choose to go even when we're not especially searching out something ethnic. My son is a native Ethiopian and loves the place like none other. My wife and I were eating Sara's delicious food long before we had him, just because we liked it. Those of us in the adoption community keep tabs on Ethiopian venues in the U.S. Redi-et is the best we've heard of, hands down. We were recently in Colorado and ate at another Ethiopian restaurant. It wasn't bad, but it also wasn't authentic. Friends say the same thing in the D.C. area, where Ethiopian cuisine is quite popular. In short, if you want scrumptious, authentic Ethiopian food and don't want to take a 22 hour plane flight, Redi-et is your place. It has something for everyone-heavy meat eaters, vegans, health-nuts, and everyone in between.

Well I just love this place. The food is so delicious and the calm and peaceful spirit of Ethiopia is all over the atmosphere. Mrs. Sara is a woman of great generosity and she puts her heart and soul into what she does. I will continue to support Redi-et Ethiopian Cuisine because I love it, I love it, I love it.

This restaurant recently relocated to downtown Myrtle Beach, near the corner of Kings Hwy, Hwy 501 and Main Street. The address is 746 Main St. This is about 6 or 7 miles north of the original location.

OMG, I had never tried Ethiopian food, so we decided to try it. It was the best food I have ever eaten. The lady that owns the place is so friendly and explains how to eat each food, there was so much food that came out on HUGE platters that I couldn't eat all of mine, the other person that was with me is a vegetarian and they have a huge menu for that diet. This will be a place we will always come back to when we are in Myrtle Beach, the lady told us she was moving to a new location. Closer to downtown Myrtle Beach. If you find this place you will not be disappointed, very worth the money which only cost us under 20.00...

I am so glad there is an Ethiopian restaurant in Myrtle beach. We happened to be there for vacation and some one told us about it. I, My husband and friend of ours went and had fun. The food was great. Sara , the owner, was excellent. We live 80 miles away form it, but we are planning to go back there more often and have some enjera and doro wate.

LOVE,LOVE, LOVE this restaurant!!!! I've never eaten ethiopian food before, but after my boss took me here for a office luncheon. I loved it!!! My husband is a chef and I took him there that same night, we have been faithful ever since. The menu is so simple and the owner Sara is always ready to suggest and help you understand which ones are too spicy (or not enough) My favorite is the Siga tips with the #4 and #8 for my two side choices. The bread and clarified butter with the spices she brings to the table as an app. is a meal in itself!!! My husband speaks highly of this place and you know chefs their such critics, even when they don't want too. If you're a coffee drinker you don't want to miss the after dinner coffee, Sara roasts the beans right before she brews it. Ethiopia is know for their coffee. Try it out!!

This is a wonderful restaurant offering authentic Ethiopian fare. The food is excellent, and Sara -- the owner-- provides warm personal service. The menu offers a wide selection of modestly priced vegetarian and vegan dishes. We eat here often and wish it were closer to our house, but it is worth the drive. Myrtle Beach is really fortunate to have this restaurant since it is difficult to find Ethiopian restaurants-- especially good ones!

When we arrived at Myrtle Beach Resort for a two week vacation in January we were delighted to find this new Ethiopian restaurant just across the highway. We were delighted first because we are always on the lookout for healthy food and locally based restaurants and because our sin and his wife are in the process of adopting a child from Ethiopia. The food is excellent, from thick, tasty soup through unusual breads, a wonderful variety of vegetarian options, and some well prepared lamb and chicken. The main entree is always accompanied by a choice of up to three of the other vegetarian mixtures. We passed on the desserts. The hot tea and dark coffee were wonderful as we came in from a fairly frigid walk. We hope Sara and her family have great success.

I ordered a sampler dish of the food and it was enough for my husband and I. Price was great, the flavor of the food was perfect, and the coffee was out of this world. Starbucks can't match it! The proper way of eating Ethiopian cusine is to use your right hand only but you will find yourself using both hands, because the food is so delicious you'll forget your maners. A+
