Our golf foursome went to Rioz on 2/24 to take advantage of the 50% discount. We arrived at 6:30pm to find a 2 and half hour wait. We were disappointed because we read the rave reviews. This place is well worth the regular price - getting it for half price is a steal!!! Instead of waiting 2.5 hours - we were offered a card by Robert the Manager to come in another day during our stay to take advantage of the great deal. We came back on Tuesday. Boy are we glad we did. The food and service were out of this world. I can see why Guachos is out of business. I have been coming to Myrtle Beach for over 30 years. This was the best meal I have had in that time. I will back this summer with my family. I can't wait. ref: 26412

You just thought that seafood buffet was expensive. Just step into Rioz. At 37.00 a person plus drinks and dessert you better be prepared to spend a wad at this place. Meat, meat and more meat rare, rarer and rarest. There is no way you can come close to eating your monies worth here. I am not saying its not unique and decent tasting food. Im saying it is terribly overpriced and if you dont like rare stay away.I will. ref: 24412

Rioz has always been one of our favorite restaurants over the last couple of years, however this year it was'nt so impressive the servers were great, some of the meat was very good some not. The salad bar was good as usual. The thing that was bothersome was when they brought our bill they stood there and watched over you like you were going to bail on them. I'm sure it has happened, but It is not good for the customers feelings. I have never bailed or would I ever consider bailing out on a bill. My husband and I both work in the prison system, and believe me I would never do anything to jeapordize my job, or my freedom. Although I did'nt like that I left a generous tip, but we probably won't return again, because of that treatment. ref: 23855

RIOS was a real meat lovers treat. Visited RIOS on a recommendation.....and absolutly amazing. I was told to work up an appetite for the day and simply enjoy the food. I kept the Green " Por Favor " up all evening!! The service was excellent and RIOS was very kid friendly.....my son and daughter keep asking me for the tasty pineapple meal. I have told everyone that is travelling to Myrtle Beach, to definetly head over to RIOS and have a CAIPIRNHA for me!! ref: 23017

Be prepared to wait without a reservation and have your wallet ready if you don't go on a half-price night. The price is average $35.00, but occasionally they do half-price ladies or half-price all. That's the night to plan for a reservation. Be prepared to wait upwards of 2 hours or longer without one on a half-price night.
My suggestions to anyone to get your money's worth is to #1 go hungry and #2 don't be overwhelmed when you arrive at your table. Get your salad and turn your card to red. You want to have time to enjoy your salad then allow them to come slowly to you with the meat. They run in to the new tables and shove meat in your face left and right making you fill up fast and not eat as much as you may if they came out at a slower pace. They like to get you served while it's hot and that's understandable, but they will easily overwhelm you with food.
The food and service is top notch though and my husband and I love this place on a VERY special occasion. ref: 22697

This was our second trip to Rioz. Our first experience was outstanding. This trip, however, was somewhat different. When we arrived were informed there would be a 1 to 1 1/2 hour wait. Ok, so we went to the bar. Another poor experience. Two bartenders to serve the 50-60 in the bar waiting and all of the floor tables. Waiting 10 minutes for a pitcher of sangria? Unacceptable. Once seated, our waitress took our drink order than basically ignored us the rest of the evening. There is a placard on the table describing the various meats we would be enjoying. None of the pork selections described either were not prepared or just never made it to our table. The meats that we did have varied in quality. Some were outstanding while other average. For example, the leg of lamb was superb, the first time around. Not so good the second time around. Servers with the various meats would pass our table, even though we had the discs green side up. When the did arrive, they often served one half of the table while ignoring the other half. ref: 21850

If you are looking for something different and are tired of the menu and ordering process, Rioz is the place to go. Our party of four loved the dining experience! Our arrival at 6 pm found a busy and bustling place, but we enjoyed 40 minutes in the bar area where it was not too noisy to chat.
We are amazed at how quickly the waiters noted when we turned our chips over so that we'd be given additional servings! The food was excellent from start to finish. I enjoy a dining experience. This was one, and well worth paying the full bill for all! A definite return for us. ref: 21847

I'm the grandmother of the Missing girl from N.Y. that went missing on ocean bulvd.(Brittanee Drexel)in Myrtle Beach April 25 th 2009.And there a very kind woman there thats has a heart of gold.Her name is Cindy Warner she happen to have seenme and my husband Al at walmart doing a fun raiser for Brittanee and the money went towards the search.And she invited us to come and have dinner on her and so we took her up on that. And i will never forget that day.That was the best lunch i have ever experience.And when we were finish he owner came and greated us and his heart was just as big.He gave us another gift card so we could come back.So we did i brought my Daughter in so he could meet Cindy and the owner.The owner had left for Brizal so she was not able to meet him but there will be a next time.And i can't say enough about his waiters and waitress they were wonderful.And i want to Thank cindy and the owner for be so thoughful. ref: 21774

With the suggestion of a friend, I took my boys to Rioz for dinner. I have one son and he brought 2 friends on Spring Break. All three boys are football players and are very big and eat lots of food. We had the absolute best time. The boys loved everything about our experience from the food to the wait staff. It was such a wonderful time for all of us, we went again for one of the boys birthdays before we left to come back to Michigan. Going down in April again and that is already in our schedule! My husband and I went to this restaurant on our anniversary in April and when we arrived at the door, we were amazed at the setting. The service was outstanding and the food was out of this world. In October, I took three of my friends back for one of their birthday. I did not tell them where we would be going and when we arrived, they
they shocked. Everything was superb as before. The birthday girl is still talking about here birthday at Rioz. We plan to bring

I have visited Rio's on 2 seperate occasions. The first time was 2 years ago with my sister from Alabama. We had a blast. The place is fun, food was great and the service was perfect.
On my second visit, I brought my family of 8 plus 2 guests. Again, we were happily served, fed and entertained.
I look forward to this Sunday visit to celebrate my daughters 30th birthday and my parents 51st anniversary with family members totaling 12. I will keep you posted! ref: 21608

The food is great. We have visited the restaurant several times. The wait is usually lengthly; sometimes an hour, other times 3 hours. When we arrived and went in the place was breath taking and the food was out of this world good i have never tasted anything like that before my husband was very pleased with everything and the servers were excellent. This is my third time to Rioz since June! I can't rave enough about this place! When here in June my daughter and grandson just loved everything about it so we had to come twice! Now we are visiting with my parents and everything was just as great! Our waiter from June even remembered us! Everything that is served is perfect and if you want a special cut it is never a problem. All the servers are professional and the atmosphere is pleasant. This was our "big dinner night out" while at Myrtle Beach and none of us were disappointed! The salad bar was excellent and the meats were tendy, juicy and tasty, especially the prime rib, lamb chops and leg of lamb.....The service was excellet, I had to turn my coaster over to red so that I could enjoy all of the meat already on my plate beore I got any more.. and the pineapple - Wow! Fried banans too.... EVERYTHING WAS EXCELLENT!! Can't wait to go back next year......Definitely worth the price... I guess this sort of thing happens, some people came in and gave money to the bald gentleman that works at the restaurant so they could be seated earlier than others who were waiting. Once we recieved some of the skewers the waiters did not bring much to our table anymore, and then asked is there something in particular your are wanting or waiting for. ref: 19946

I thought this restaurant was absolutely amazing and I'm still talking about my meal two weeks after our vacation. We will definitely go back next time we are in Myrtle Beach and I am sad that I can't find another location closer to me (downtown Toronto would be perfect). This was my first visit to Rioz, the food was awesome! When I returned home from vacation, I became a walking billboard for advertisement for this business. I suggested to one of my close friends to visit while they were vacationing at Myrtle Beach and they were overwhelmed with the quality and quantity of food received. The service was a 10+ as well. This will continue to be one of my favorite spots to patronize when I visit Myrtle Beach again. RIOZ keep up the good work and don't change. ref: 19586

I had heard many great things about this restaurant and had wanted to go for years. I was very happy to finally have gotten to. Dont let the price scare you. While not a place I can afford to frequent, the amount of food and the quality of the food is well worth the price. The only small complaints were that is was quite loud, but that cant be blamed on the restaurant. Also, we saw our waiter when he took our drink order, and not again til we got our bill. BUT we also had refills and plates cleared the whole time. They were just always done by someone else (at least 3 separate people). I just hope tips are shared. I had heard about this restaurant for the last 3 years from numerous friends and finally decided to give it a whirl!!! Well you just can't be disappointed!! This most outstanding food and service I have ever had. I have a culinary degree, so I tend to be a little critical about restaurants, but there is nothing but good happening at RIOZ!! Sure it costs more than your average dinner out, but it is far more than average food and service. The staff is more than efficient and wonderfully friendly. The food is a out of this world, melt in your mouth, full of flavor meal!! I could not possibly just have the hot/cold bar and watch all those fabulous meats pass by my table and not try any. It absolutely assaults your senses in the most mouth watering way. Not to mention the fire roasted pineapple with cinnamon!! I think I ate an entire pineapple because no matter how full you are, you can't resist some more!! A must try!! ref: 18803

My family and I went after hearing wonderful things. We got there at 4pm but werent seated until 7pm. I was very irritated at this point and thought I was going to have to wait forever for food. Right away we went up to the beautiful salad bar and filled our plates with sushi and great cheese's. I didn't believe it but right away our plates were being filled with the most delicious meats I have ever eaten. I had to turn over the card they give you just to make them stop. The meats were out of this world. It did take a while to get a refill though. The noise level was very loud for the type of restaurant they are portraying.. The tables were a little to close for me. I don't want to be able to smell the old guys burp next to me when he lets one go. It kinda made me sick to my stomach. After we were through they rolled up a dessert cart. Because they came up to us with it we thought it was included with the meal price. WRONG! Total we got 5 desserts and each of them were $6 a piece. They were very good but I didnt want to pay that much for desserts. It's a little pricy but I will say the wait was well worth it for the amount of food we got and for how tasty it was. Just word to the wise, steer clear of the desserts if you arent looking for a higher bill. I will definatly go back ref: 18657

Ended up at Rio's on vacation trip because other area restaurants closed relatively early (9:00?). What a great find! My two sons and I feasted like royalty. "Salad" bar was fantastic and included unique and beautifully-presented surprises such as boiled quail's eggs, tuna sushi, black beans and rice, asparagus spears, and heart of palm. I especially enjoyed the potato salad--undoubtedly homemade and actually edibile (compared to every other restaurant potato salad I've ever tasted.) Fried banana and grilled pineapple with cinnamon were wonderful light desserts.
The meats were served hot, succulent, and just perfect with a wood-fire taste. We had filet, ribs, shrimp, and flank steak none of which was highly seasoned which allowed us to appreciate the freshness and quality of the cuts.
The staff was just wonderful. Expensive, but I'm certain it's very, very costly to do meals with such perfection. We'll definitely be back. ref: 18643

My wife and I went and found the experience enjoyable. The one draw back is they will not serve steak well done. My wife can not eat any meat that has pink in it. The restaurant refused to cook it well done so we will never come back.
So if you like meat rare or medium rare go and enjoy. If you like it well done.... Stay away. ref: 18073

We ate here on Thanksgiving Day! They were offering 1/2 off on Thnaksgiving....so-o turkey was saved for another day! No reservations were excepted, but we arrived approx. 4:30, waited in bar for about 30 minutes. Service and food were the same as always AND on the usual salad bar they had sliced ham, turkey, gravy, cranberry sauce, etc. We left that there and had the usual meats!
If we are back down again next Thanksgiving, we will definetely go here!!!

The food, the atmosphere and the staff were all excellent. The wait time very good meaning not waiting for a very long time. The noise level was at a good level. The value for the money is really excellent BUT with the economy as it is now, it is a bit high in price. For that reason, I can not go to Rioz as often as I would LOVE to go! The food at Rioz is better than ANY steakhouse I have tried. The wait between times I get to go is definitely worth the wait! ref: 17891

To whom it concerns: I have really enjoyed each visit i have made to Rios. I have recommend several couples to go an experience the same great food and service. I have visited 8 times and every time i have been the employees have greeted and served my family to the highest,it makes me feel like we are royalty.I would recommend this restaurant to any friend or family member and even to any travelers from out of town. Vacationed in Myrtle Beach, and after reading reviews, had to have birthday dinner at Rioz. We went early, the staff did an excellent job accomdating my sister who is in a wheelchair. Great experience. It was however the most expensive meal I have ever paid for, but I would do it again in a minute, being on the Beach in November was a plus too. ref: 17793

LOVED IT!! One of the best restaurants I have ever been too. Did not have one unpleasant taste experience. If you love meat then this is the restaurant for you. Come hungry. The salad bar is amazing in itself but beware if you fill up here you will not have room for the meat and you don't want to miss the steak. I would recommend this to everyone. This is an Awesome Restaurant!! I would recommend Rioz to anyone visiting the Myrtle Beach area. The food just keeps on coming!! Just one thing I would suggest... Don't fill up on the salad bar because when you sit down to eat the meats your already full. We went in september 2009 to this rioz because of a friend that told us about how good the food was.The food we ate was excellent but the only complaint i have was my wife loves scallops and we went on line and checked out the menu it said scallops was on the menu. W started eating and my wife asked about scallops but we were told it isnt on the menu but i mentioned it was on the web sight but didnt get a response but we still ate and the food we ate was very good .Scallops need to be added because the lady that helped us said the keep getting asked about scallops ref: 17260

This was the best food I have ever had in my life. The service was fantastic, the food was delicious, and for what you get, the price is great! You get all you can eat salad bar and unlimited varietys of steaks, chicken, and pork! It was our first time here and if we ever come back this is somewhere we won't pass up! The food is of great quality and the service was five star! I'd recommend Rioz to anyone who is in or near Myrtle Beach, SC. Everyone there is so friendly and they serve you instantly. Our trip to Rios on Sunday, 9/13 was truly outstanding. This was our third trip to Rios, and my first in September. While we did have reservations, they were not necessary and walk-ins were being immediately seated.
Regardless, both the salad buffet and meat courses contained everything promised. My wife chose to eat only the salad buffet, and my fried and his wife joined me eating the entire experience. Every piece of food, rather from the salad buffet or meat served by the gauchos, was totally outstanding. The filet mignon and lamb chops were undescribable.
While Rios is a little pricey, the cost is worth it for such a super dinner experience. Don't miss it - it is one of the best dining experiences in Myrtle Beach. ref: 17203

The food quality was excellent, you could get your meat rare,med,or well. One gaucho came around and the meat was not well enuf for me but in five minutes he came back with well. The guy that made the fresh drink at your table was very freindly and helpful. The level of service was excellent! The atmosphere is for food and celebration...so prepare for it! Some people where complaining about the noise level but the only noise that bothered me was the fact that someone would bring an infant to a buffet place at night! The value for my money was great. At red lobster you pay 26 dollars for the admirals feast! For 36 dollars you get the kings feast at rioz. I was very,very,very pleased with rioz and told everyone I knew to go there. This place is super great! Salad bar is nice with good variety. The dinner portion was excellent with delicious meats. Went two nights ago and everyone in my party of 8 agreed to return tonight for a bday party. It's $35 per person buffet style so somewhat pricey but still worth it for a very nice meal. My wife, son and I ate at Rioz on Saturday, 7/18 and were not disappointed. My wife opted to just have the "salad bar" and had more than enough to satisfy her appetite. My son and I, being the carnivores of the family, opted to sample the many different types of meats served by the restaurant. We were amazed at both the quantity and quality of the food, I sampled pork, two types of chicken, two different lamb dishes, and numerous preparations of beef - allwere fantastic. So was the grilled pineapple with cinnamon and sugar. Rioz is somewhat pricey but my family felt it was worth the price. Eating there was an experience, not just another meal. ref: 16212

1 word AWESOME!!!!!! We heard all about this place from our neighbors in NY who have been to Rioz before. The food was great, the service second to none, we got in at 415 and we were seated upon arrival and the noise well we liked it a little loud we had 5 young girls with us from the ages of 1 to 6 so if they were loud no big deal!!! Another bonus was all 5 kids were FREE!!! I have never tried some of the food I had and never would of if i had to pay for it by itself, if i didnt like it here no big deal just get something new!! I was throughly pleased with everything! The service was prompt and the food was delicious. I have certain dietary restrictions and the waiter was able to have one of the side dishes remade without cheese. Everyone was friendly. The steaks were amazing! You definately want to be hungry when you dine here. The price is a bit high but it is all you can eat. The salad bar had a large selection and the sushi and boiled shrimp were excellent! One of the BEST in Myrtle Beach! (Review from a Retired Multi-Restaurant Owner) We had a party of twelve for dinner. We all had a great time with no surprises. The wait staff is well trained and very attentive. The salad bar was just awesome, it was fresh, clean and had selections not normally found at any steak house. (A++) All the meat selections come right to your table, you choose whatever you want. The chicken, beef, pork and lamb were all fantastic and cooked just right. (A++) Everyone tried a little of each type. I would definitely put Rioz Steakhouse on your list. Be sure to ask for the dessert tray (order them to share). Plan on spending about $36 a person with tip. Pay attention to menu extras. Although a good time was had by all, we found that the noise level in the dining room (due to the music) was unusually high. First of all the salad bar was fabulous. The spicy tuna sushi roll was the best I had while in Myrtle Beach. (It seems that the sushi bars I visited don't quite understand the concept of spicy roll) The meat was okay as long as you stuck to beef or lamb otherwise the meat was dried out. Unfortunately the meat all tasted the same since they were all only seasoned with salt. On the website they advertised salmon and shrimp and it says there are always a couple of seafood dishes to choose from. Having relocated from NYC to the Grand Strand I find it very difficult to really enjoy eating out here in Myrtle Beach as there are very few restaurants that actually make me want to go back to them on a regular basis. Rioz was an excellent restaurant! There is a salad bar with lots of healthy and fresh food you wouldn't ordinarily find at a salad bar, like sushi, avocados, olives, and tomatoes. But the main feature of the restaurant is all-you-can-eat meat! Servers bring cuts of meat to the table and cut off a slice about three bites big so that you can sample many different kinds of meat throughout the meal. When I was there, they had flank steak, another type of beef, bacon-wrapped chicken, lamb, and others. They also bring side dishes as part of the meal like fried bananas and cheesy mashed potatoes. The food was DELICIOUS! I've never tasted meat so flavorful, the side dishes were excellent, and the key lime pie we had for dessert was actually authentic!
There were a few drawbacks. The price is quite high, about $30 per person. The food definitely justified the price, but be forewarned that you will have a large tab. The noise level was huge--the restaurant has a beautiful interior, but nothing to muffle sounds. It's also hard to understand the waiters since since they have very thick accents and because of the noise. And the atmosphere is a little hectic since all the waiters are moving around so quickly.
Despite the drawbacks, I highly recommend this place. The food quality is unbelievable. ref: 11816

I have been to Myrtle Beach for the past nineteen years, and to date, Rioz was the BEST dining experience I have had. The staff was very friendly, service was beyond excellent, the food was fresh, delicious, and as wonderful as they advertised! Dessert is not included in the meal price, but it was hard to pass up the wonderful cart being rolled around the diningroom. Noise level was a little high, lighting a bit low, and the rapid movement of the gauchos was a bit distracting, but necessary. If you are planning a romantic dinner, I personally would not choose Rioz. All in all, it was a bit pricey for the amount that I am able to eat, but I have recommended Rioz to EVERYONE I know. This was my friends and myself first trip to Rioz. It was worth it. The staff could not be better. The salad bar is excellant with exotic additions which only added to the dinning pleasure. Be extremely careful not to fill up on the salad bar as other reviewers have mention, the meat comes fast and furious if you leave your token on the green side. And the waiters are not simpy with the portions if you choose. Personally, I am not a large eater (at one sitting) BUT I was able to take a taste of most everything offered. Could not decide which entree I like most as each was as good or better than the one before it. Two drawbacks, when I was offered a dessert I order a small Chocolate moose. The waiter said they only had one size, but I didn't have to finish it. I declined which leads me to my second complaint/observation which is directed to patrons and NOT the restaurant, taking more food than one would eat. Because one price equals all you can doesn't mean leave it on your plate; it means all you can EAT. I find that it is a shame individuals leave so much food only to have it thrown away. Not only does it add to the overhead of the restaurant but to how the establishment sets their prices. Will definitely return with more out of town guest.
Wish the noise level could be lessen. Enjoyed the ethnic music but thought that the volume created the need to talk louder to your dinning guests. ref: 10400

Our server Kate kindly introduced herself before explaining how our feast would work. She catered to our every need, and gave us reccomendations that were greatly appreciated, and very much enjoyed. As soon as we sat back down from the salad bar, another waitress introduced herself as serena as she dropped off some french fries for my children. There were always at least three or four servers helping our family to create a truly unique and enjoyable experience. Wonderful! Completely exceeded our already high expectations! Great time, delicious salad bar and meats, amazing drinks and desserts... just incredible. Our waitress kind of sucked, but all of the other servers made up for her! We got plenty of attention, even with her slacking. Awesome! We WILL be back! ref: 9928

The food here was absolutely delicious! Some of the best steak I have ever had. The price is outrageous, however, if u can eat enough steak and seafood and sushi and salad bar, the meal will pay for itself. The salad bar was fantastic along with the side dishes served. The steak was incredible from the garlic steak to the sea salt steak to the parmesean pork tenderloin to the lamb chops. It is all u can eat meat and the service was great. Also, try the cinnamon and brown sugar coated pineapple which is wonderful. A great experience however I would not do it often due to the price. A suggestion; do not eat anything all day before going to Rioz. ref: 9753

The wife & I had never eaten at a Brazilian Steakhouse, but I had heard of them and wanted to try it. We were not disappointed. I have lived in the Iowa/Neb/Kansas area all my life, so I know good beef. They served great beef. The salad bar was small, but had very high quality items. But, you probably are not here for salad. The wait staff was friendly & were constantly checking to make sure everything was OK. The "gauchos" roam around with skewers of various cuts of beef, port, chicken, lamb. etc. You have a card with a red & green side. Turn the green side up and they will stop and cut you a serving. Turn it red and they will pass you by. Since you are not ordering from a menu the food is always hot and plentiful. The team atmosphere of the waitstaff makes for a great atmosphere. One of the best steakhouses I have been too. ref: 9150

Wow! What an experience!! The waiters hover over you. Such impeccable service. Could use a l'il more lighting but the food..very exquisite, without being pretentious. What amazed us was the quality items on the salad bar. Worth every penny even if it meant breaking your kids' piggy bank. Try the lamb chops. They don't lie in their ads. This is the guy that made the review about making a reservation and getting my daughters dinner for free. Well, we just got home from our dinner at rioz, and it was by far the most amazing restaurant I have ever seen. The staff was all very nice, the food was beyond excellent (i highly recommend the top sirloin... Omg .. Its to die for), and the drinks were extremely delicious. The caipirinha left me speechless. The experience alone is well worth the money spent. For a truely unique dining experience, rioz is where its at. ref: 8313

This dining experience was the highlight of our week in Myrtle Beach. We live in Raleigh and can only hope that one day you will open a Rioz here. There are two other similar style restaurants in the Triangle area, but neither of them compared to our dinner at Rioz this past August 2007. We were a party of 11, were seated promptly ( we did call ahead for a table) and were introduced to how we could order.The staff were courteous and friendly.....our waiter posed with us for a photo..... We had so much fun as a family and with our friends. The food was fabulous, the choices amazing. I have been telling everyone that the flavors exploded.....the garlic filet mignon.... was wonderful.....the choices at the salad bar were exceptional....not typical of a salad bar at all....one of the best dining experiences we had. Please open a RIOZ in Raleigh NC...... ref: 8193
