We stumbled onto Prosser's which vactioning in Myrtle Beach this past week. The food was wonderful! The pulled pork and warm pineapple upside-down cake were our favorites! This restaurant is a "must do" when in the Myrtle Beach area. The price is unbelievably low.....the value for the money cannot be compared to more expensive places in Myrtle Beach.

We had friends take us to Prossers because of its buffet, which features bbq as well as many other dishes. The food is all you can eat,and is is tasty. On our second trip back in a week,i noticed 3 roaches crawling around the serving trays at the buffet....that was it for me,no more going back. The place has a "down home" look to it,not spic and span, not really dirty, but it obviously has a problem in the restaurant ref: 12613 |

We love the resturant and the food and the atmosphere. But when a roach crawled on the plate my husband was eating off of it was over. Well i tried to speak to the hostess she was nice but the little cashier was cold about it.When i told her what happened she said thats just the south and how it is.She also told about the incident that happened to her while she was cutting lettuce one crawled across the lettuce and had to throw it away, Oh my GOD I could not believe it my husband just walked out sick to his stomach. We also so had to pay full price for the meal. We were shocked we live in the south and i don't have roaches. So to anyone who reads this "no we don't "Just Prossers. If i could have thought of anything else at that moment i would of told her i live here! I know thats a lie . Well needless to say we did not go back!! ref: 10276 |

Every time we return to Myrtle Beach we plan at least one meal at Prosser's Buffet Restaurant. I am aware that Prosser's sells their BBQ sauce in some of the local grocery stores in and around the Murrells Inlet area, but I am not local. Does Prosser's offer an online service for purchases and shipping of their Williamsburg Style BBQ Sauce? I would like to purchase 2 of the half-gallons for our next planned neighborhood BBQ cookout. ref: 10053 |

Don't miss the opportunity to eat some really good vinegar-base BBQ! Home cooked country food and vegetables, great little buffet! This will be a regular eating spot for our family. We'll be sure to take visiting family and friends to Prossers! Try it! You won't be disappointed! ref: 9836 |

If you like great country cooking; prossers is the place! Just went there for the second time a couple of weeks ago and it was delicious. And what a great value, my girlfriend and I both ate the bar with one water and one tea and the bill was $14. You can't beat that with a stick!! All the food is great, especially the sweet potatoes, collard greens, etc, well anything on the bar is great! Prossers will definately be a "must stop" for myself each trip to myrtle beach. ref: 9754 |

we have been going to myrtle beach oncea year for a long time
we had some friends from ourhome town told us to try it and
we found it the best place we ever eaten on the grand strand.
food was outstanding and we coudln't beleive the price it
was so much lower than the rest down there. we are planning
to go back agian this spring and PROSSERS will be our first
and maybe our only restaurant to visit during our stay. we
will be camping and will do some meals at the campground.

My family and I love this place. It is a local's secret (no secret if you drive by and see the packed parking lot but there is lot's of space inside). We eat lunch here often and the food is true southern comfort. The staff is nice and friendly. As a local, it is one of the best places to eat lunch in Murrells Inlet and the price is fantastic. ref: 9644 |

Prossers BBQ is without a doubt the best home cooked meal on the grand strand...with the lowest prices. Out side of the long line waiting to fix a plate on Sundays and the same long line to pay your bill to leave then I say they are number 1. ref: 9377 |

For your money or your taste buds Prosser's is the place to be. They cook like my mom use to, and they really know how to cook seafood, nice and juicy not overcooked and hard like a lot of places. We look forward to going every time we are at the beach. We give it an A++++++++++++.

This used to be one of the things I looked forward to on our trips to MB. We made the mistake of walking in right at 2 and did not notice the closed sign, after all it is small. We were told to take a seat but there would not be additional food added to the buffett. No problem there was plenty. The problem started when a loud mouth waitress came over and said"what part of closed don't they understand" for the entire resturant to hear. Because I love the food I stayed but I did not enjoy it. If the lady at the front had just said folks we are closed but will open tomorrow at 11 that would have been fine. That does it for me I will stick to the Country Barn in Darlington truly the best buffett in SC. ref: 8831 |

I go to Myrtle usually twice per year, One of which is a girls trip to Myrtle Beach. My mom, and sisters and I I have eaten at Prosser's twice and loved it both times. I wish we had found it before now. I know you have to get there early, because that place is not a secret and it fills up very quickly, and for good reason, the food and atmosphere are fantastic. I can not tell you a favorite food, because I love it all!! I plan to take my family there Thanksgiving week. If you're in the area you must eat at Prosser's.

My husband and I are orginally from South Carolina but don't live there anymore. We went on vacation and stayed at my parent's condo in Surfside Beach and decided to take the plunge and visit Prosser's at least once. My parents had told us how wonderful it was and how cheap it was in price ($5.95 for lunch). We took our two children with us and although they are rather picky, they (and my husband and I) thoroughly enjoyed it. The chicken gizzards and livers as well as the meatloaf were fantastic. I could have made a meal just on those two items. We loved the barbeque, fried crabcakes, fried chicken, fried fish, collards, macaroni & cheese, green beans, banana pudding, etc. Our children begged us to go again so we went two days later for lunch and the meat items had changed but we did not complain. The thing that we noticed right away was that the little parking lot was crowded (for good reason) and alot of construction workers were there which to me always indicates a good deal and good food. We walked out with bulging tummies and groaned and moaned but only because it was so good and we were so full!!!! ref: 8156 |

A restaurant with the best home cooking away from home. It is truly enjoyable. The personnel/staff were very cordial. If you want a truly good meal at a very reasonable price, this is the restaurant for you. They have the best cooks around. Most importantly, the food is not greasy. The best in Murrell's Inlet. We will be back.

I was at Prosser's this past Saturday for lunch. It is only $5.95 for lunch, and it is served from 11:00 till 2:00
Macaroni and cheese, and the peach cobbler were my favorites. I am not a big fan of the vinegar-based BBQ, I'm more of a fan of the Lexington style BBQ. But if you like the vinegar-based BBQ, I'm sure you will like Prosser's. Some of the other items on the buffet were stewed squash, pinto beans, lima beans, mashed potatoes, green beans, hush puppies, "flat" biscuits, chicken & dumplin's, fried chicken (very good), fried flounder, pork chops, country style steak, chicken & rice (chicken bog?) and the salad bar. Banana pudding was pretty good also. There were a few more vegetables, but I can't remember them. My opinion of Prosser's is, I would rate the lunch buffet food as "above average". But I would rate the price as "excellent". Check it out for yourself if you're in the Murrells Inlet area. ref: 4312 |

This place should be called "Mother's" because it's like going home to eat. Fantastic BBQ and chicken. Plenteous choices of vegetables...home style cooked. The peach cobbler is the kind served in heaven. Can you tell we like the place. Today was our first time but Prosser's will be a stop for us each time we visit the beach. We even brought some home and had it for supper the dame day!! The food will make you slap your Momma and run naked in the woods!!! ref: 4261 |

This is a great little restaurant that seems too be mostly frequented by locals. And for good reason! They have a wonderful $5.95 lunch buffet that includes their incredible vinegar-based BBQ pork and a whole bunch of clearly homemade items. The peach cobbler is just wonderful. We were thrilled to find this little gem among all the overpriced places at Myrtle Beach. Don't pass by this little place!!!!!!!!! ref: 3583 |

Found this great place in June. Ate there again this past Friday for lunch. This is the best place in the Myrtle Beach area hands down. These ladies who cook in the kitchen should be given gold medals for their food preparation. Great value, terrific service; you will not go wrong. Take this from an "all most" local.
