Had eaten there for 8 or 9 years. Decided to try some other places.
We found several within a few miles. So we went back 2 weeks ago.
No problem being seated on a Sunday around 10:30...We ordered and it certainly is not what it was years ago. They had a senior menu and it seemed the prices have doubled. Also the quantity is less.
I guess this is the reason for the no waiting. A couple of years ago you had waiting time especially on a Sunday. Too many other places around with some good specials... ref: 26543

This is a hidden gem! We were seated immediately. Service was prompt and courteous, and the quiet surroundings were such a relief from the general noise at other restaurants. The omelet was delicious, and the chef actually came to our table to be sure the food was exactly like I had ordered. Pancakes were fluffy but filling, and I ate them for dessert! Prices were reasonable; both quality and quantity exceeded our expectations. We are going back tomorrow! ref: 25195

We were in Myrtle Beach for bike week and ate each morning at Plantation. The food was great and the service was very fast and the staff was the most friendly we encounterd anywhere in the city. A great place to get your day started. ref: 25152

We have eated breakfast at Plantation for 10 years usually on Sunday. Last year something happened, they changed the menu & senior menu and food quality seemed to drop. We decided to try other spots and found them very good. Last week (3/20/11) we decided with 2 other couples, to try it again. Prices have increased, Senior menu is bad as far as selection. Our pancakes were flat, the scrambled well eggs were runny and the toast cold. The coffee pitcures could usa a run thru the dishwasher for sure.
Guess we will stick with the others and say goodbye to Plantation... ref: 22171

My wife and i ate at Plantation this morning. It was the first time we had eaten there is several years. Atmosphere is much better no that there is No Smoking. Food was excellent and service was good. We own a second home in Surfside Beach and we will return again. ref: 19896

We ate here in April of this year. We have always eaten at the one near 15th ave. and Kings Hwy, but thought we would try this for a slight change. We are very glad we did! This restaurant has more room than the other one we usually go to. Our server was very good, and made sure everyone was well taken care of. Our food was excellent as always. We can't wait to go back on our next trip. It's always been a tradition to eat at Plantation Pancake House, and we will continue to, but thanks to this visit, we will be changing locations. ref: 11278
