This was our first trip to Pawleys Is. at Litchfield Resort. The staff recommended Pastaria to our group of 7 golfers. Only problem was finding the resturant, but once we did it was truely worth the search. Everything was excellent. We were invited to their anniversary celebration that week where they had a special buffet served in the mall area in front of the resturant....all for $15.00....good deal for what was served. David Demer the owner was very delightful. His daughters also helped out in making sure all was just perfect........BRAVO DAVID! We will be back in April 2012.

Been coming to Pastaria since 1999. To this day I still say it's the best pizza I've ever had and thats coming from a native New Yorker. However, over the years the food quality has diminished considerably. Went in last week when I heard they came out with a new menu. I got a chicken francaise that was a breaded peice of chicken which is not what a francaise is! My wife got the veal picatta and it was just awful. Of course we'll be back again but I think they should have stuck with what they did best. Not good guys!

The first time my husband and I ate in the restaurant it was very good (that was during the tourist season). The next time my husband and I ate at Pastaria it was absolutely AWFUL. Both our lunchs were terrible. Our chicken panninis were dry and lacked flavor and the waitress could have given a hoot about it -- very lousy attitude. Of course we asked to see a manager and no one was to be found. Neither was an owner. We tried it a third time for dinner and could not believe, again, how bad our dinners were. The eggplant parm was disgusting -- hardly any cheese, the sauce was seriously bitter and it lacked any flavor. DON'T eat in this restaurant -- it's a waste of money. LANDOLPHI'S is the best choice! PS: wrote a letter to the owners to complain and let them know that during the slow seasons their restaurant is not good (both food and service are terrible) but no one cared enough to answer. Guess the money during the tourist season is what is important to them. Could care less about the locals!

I have been going to Pastaria 811 for years. Actually i try my best to go there at least once a week. There is not one thing I don't like there. Literally everything is amazing! It is a wonderfulplace. All the decor is so beautiful. Everytime I walk in, it feels like I've stepped into a little part of italy. The smell is great. It consists of home-cooked food. There are pictures of Italy and other things to remind you of Italy to get the full affect. While you eat, you hear soft Italian music in the background which is quite relaxing. This is a place you can go after a long day at work, have a glass of wine, and just unwind. The best part about all of this is you get all of this amazing food for so cheap which is what everybody wants with the economy being as bad as it is. The pizza is the best I have ever had!! The best in this town for sure. All the pasta dishes, meat dishes, and seafood dishes are great. Also, everybody is always so kind there. You never have to worry about getting a rude waitress or anything like that for that matter. This place is amazing! Order the shrimp roma!!!!!

Coming from New York, I must say this is the best italian I've had on the entire grand strand. The pizza is better than anything I had in New York, the chicken parm is also the best! The service is not to die for, but with the prices the way they are, I don't expect it to be. I would like to see a bit better wine list, but understand that it is more of a family place. Visited their second location in Pawleys last week (811 Steak and Pasta), this was outstanding! Pawleys needed a place like this! Awesome steaks! A better wine list than Franks! And half off any wine on Tuesdays, I've never heard of that but love the idea. Great music and atmosphere. The owners of these establishments are true entreprenuers!
