Our family vacations in Myrtle Beach each summer in June. For years we enjoyed eating at Ocean Garden, but after 14 years, they closed their doors. To our delight, they opened up another location in Surfside. Since we vacation for a week at Plantation Resort after Christmas, this has become our favorite 'lunch buffett!" The Chinese food is delicious, the selection is great and choices of fried chicken, pork and seafood dishes are all tasty. There service is quick, there hospitality is superb and we look forward to next year's visit! ref: 26259

I saw their ad in the monster coupon book. This was absolutely the worst buffet I have ever had. After being seated we found they were about to close. The buffet was cold or luke warm at best. I was brought water without ice and had to ask for ice. My wife had to ask twice for more hot tea and the waitress acted like she was going out of her way. I had to ask the waitress 3 times before we got someone to cook our food at the fix your own bar. The taste was terrible and the seafood selection almost none. The fish was cold. The cake was stale. The waitress did not deduct the coupon I gave her. The cashier screwed up and had to ring 2 tickets on my credit card to get it right. She acted shocked when I explained my concrn. I would have been more satisfied with a bologna sandwich which would have been worth more than the meal we got. They should have told us they were closing and we would have gone somewhere else. We are local and had been to this restaurant in years past and thought it was OK. The problem is that they now have very few customers and you can't operate a buffet with such a low volume. The dishes I tried on the buffet had clearly been left sitting way too long, some refreshed by adding ingredients to the old, and were inedible. The shrimp and seafood items looked old and dried up. I would never go back to this restaurant. Myrtle Beach offers so many choices and this is the worst we have experienced ever in Myrtle Beach. ref: 24661

First time visiting this restaurant and wasn't disappointed at all. Hugh buffet with many different items. If you don't want Chinese, no problem because they have plenty of american food. No waiting and for 11.95, can't get a better price. Granted, it isn't the greatest food, never been to any buffet that was, but for the money, this one is at top of my list. Less than half the price of Crabby Mikes, and just as good, so save your money people if going to a buffet. ref: 22750

Absolutely the most horrible food I've had in years. I'm easy to please and will eat just about any type of cuisine. We are locals and trust me when I say AVOID THIS PLACE! Everything else about it is typical of any Chinese buffet, but the food is nasty. I used to work in the restaurant business and I cannot believe the audacity of this place in trying to pass off below grade, premade institutional food as Authentic Chinese cuisine. Bottom line: This place isn't worth spending your hard earned money on unless you don't care what you put in your mouth... ref: 20349
