My wife and I went to this restaurant while vacationing March 17th 2012. We love sushi and have been to many sushi bars / restaurants. We were seated quickly, but this was the only thing that was quick. Food service was very slow and when we requested anything, it took forever to get it. The sushi rolls were average and not rolled very tight so many fell apart. In the future we will pass on this one.

If you want your ears to be blown out then come here at saturday around 10:30 the room was shaking from the music. All they needed was a dance floor. The food and staff were great and friendly I will be back for more and maybe bring some earplugs. I recommend the "No Name" and the "Hurricane". The outside roof needed to be dusted it was sprouting with spiders. You could'nt really sit back in the outside chair's without your butt hurting. The bathrooms were good but nothing to go crazy about. Overall i was very pleased with the food and staff but the music and minor things could be tweaked.

My family and I recently visited King Kong Sushi and loved it! My husband was a sushi chef for over 8 years and nows the quality of fish. We were very pleased with the quality and cut of fish we received. The menu is great with a very large selection of specialty roles to choose from. We can't wait to go back for more. If you are looking for great quality fish and and specialty rolls King Kong Sushi is the place to go. Our waitress was great too!

I went to the King Kong Sushi Bar at Broadway and the quality of the food was wonderful. The 'No Name' Sushi entree was absolutely incredible, seriously some of the best sushi I have ever had. The service was great and the atmosphere was very welcoming! Not too pricey, definitely worth what you pay for it! Look forward to going back and trying other menu items!

After hearing good reviews about this restaurant my friend and I decided to visit this place (we went to Broadway location). I was disappointed, maybe because after all these rave reviews you expect something really amazing. Well it didn't turn out that way. The only thing that I liked was rice that came with chicken hibachi. Miso soup had a very strong smoky taste. Salad was very dry, maybe ginger dressing was not properly prepared, I don't know but it didn't taste right. Chicken hibachi entree was very average. The thing that dissapointed us the most was sushi rolls. By some reason we got them after our entree, though we ordered them way before it. In my opinion one of the most important things about suchi is their freshness, well they were not. I had a roll that was not covered with roe, my friend did and we think that's what made her really sick that evening.

King Kong Sushi is a true sushi bar. The selection of sushi can be a little overwhelming the first time, but everything is very fresh and prepared by hand. I have never eaten any of the hot entrees, and anyone looking for onf of the habachi type restaurants found along the grand strand may want to go elsewhere. King Kong does not have habachi grills, but what it does have is lots and lots of tasty sushi. The prices are great too! Most of the sushi is priced well under $10, which is pretty much my cut-off for one order of sushi. I suggest the spicy scallop roll.

King Kong Sushi is incredible. The portion sizes are amazing. The sushi is very fresh and the presentation is outstanding. We ordered miso soup and salad, very fresh and tasty. We ordered salmon, tuna, squid and octopus sushi and were very happy with our selections. We were so impressed that we went back the very next day (we visited the Broadway at the Beach King Kong Sushi), on our way to the airport. We will be back. The staff was incredibly friendly and the service was fast. Outstanding experience.
