We were seated on the patio last evening and waited close to forty five minutes without ever seeing our server! It wasn't even a busy night. Couldn't tell you what the food was like because we never got the chance to order! Can tell you that the service was absolutely terrible and we will not be going back ever again!

I just love the new Hot Fish Club it really seems to be coming together. I like the gazebo on the weekends, live bands and that blonde guy is so nice. I always eat when im there, now that they got a decent chef. Is there any way to get the recipie for the onion salmon.anyway make a reservation, stop in,eat, relax, and enjoy..

For all of you who stopped going to the Hot Fish Club because of their lackluster food and so-so service, now is the time to give them a try again! I had read in a local magazine, LowCountry Companion, that they hired a new manager and chef so we decided to give it a try. When we arrived the restaurant was busy so we decided to grab a drink at the bar. Our bartender, Taylor, was so nice and her knowledge of food and wine was above par. She poured my friend a great glass of Pinot Noir and made me the perfect dirty martini. Although a table became available, we decided to eat right at the bar where Taylor made suggestions about the menu. My friend chose an evening special of seared scallops served over sauteed napa cabbage with panceta and it was heaven on a plate. The scallops were perfectly cooked and the napa cabbage was a perfect compliment. I had the shrimp and grits which were also perfect. To top it off, we shared a piece of homemade pumpkin bread pudding topped with a warm caramel sauce that was divine.Chatting away with our bartender/server we came to find out that the new chef, Eric and new manager, Cheryl collaborate daily on the menu and it shows. The Hot Fish Club is once again becoming the place to dine in Murrell's Inlet. Try it....you'll love it!

This restaurant was recommended to us by a local realtor, she said to go early for the sunset specials. They had a nice selection but the food itself was ugh. Rolls, hard, my crabcake, although sauteed, was mushy, my sister's flounder had some amaretto-ey kind of sauce on it, my niece got the salmon and she said it was good. But out of a party of ten, only three said they enjoyed their meals. And the Sunset Specials are $12.50 each. Thank goodness we didn't pay full price! The service was good, however.

We had planned eating at the Dockside, but didn't want to wait. We found the Hot Fish Club by accicdent. We were seated in the Gazebo. It was a very relaxing dinner, overlooking the inlet. We had great service. The food was great. My son is a chef, and said, it was the best steak he has ever had. We will be back.

We go every year we vacation at murrells inlet, and the food quality is definitely there! the one thing to do is plan ahead....we travel with four children under the age of 15, so we make a reservation! that must be why we have never had the problem of the hostess being rude......southern charm and a tip help, too!.

This was our first visit to the Hot Fish Club in over two years. We will never go back. The staff has entirely turned over and the food and service has suffered for it. The portions and quality were nothing like in the past. This was one of our favorite restaurants when Chef Tommy Sullivan was there. The owners definitely need a management overhaul.

My husband and I were introduced to this restaurant by some friends that live in Murrels Inlet. Every time we come down to Myrtle Beach we make it a top priority on our dining list and our visit this evening (12/28/07) was absolutely delectible and our waiter, Shane, was excellent! We have always had a very delicious and well presented seafood dinner (however, there is something for everyone on the dinner menu).

We usually arrive before 6 PM so we order from the sunset menu and we always leave full. We have yet to have their dessert because we are too full. We highly recommend this restaurant and have always had excellent service. We did not have reservations this evening but we have been here in the busy summer season and I highly suggest reservations during this time.

You can't go wrong sitting out in the screened in dining room (if it is not too hot/humid),so that you can enjoy the view of the inlet/marsh and the beautiful wildlife! If you try this restaurant just once, you will be a repeat customer!

My family went to the Hot Fish Club for the sunset special and we were kind of concerned if there would be enough food to supress our big appetites. Well no one was complaining when we were done with our meals. Everyone enjoyed their dinner and I especially loved the onion crusted salmon. I couldn't imagine how large the regular size servings would be since the sunset special offered plenty for one person!

The service was great and the atmosphere was truly relaxing with a wonderful view of the inlet and marsh.

We enjoyed our dinner at the Hot Fish Club. The atmosphere is different than at other Murrells Inlet restaurants. You can tell that locals eat here. It has an old fashioned charm with southern elegance. The service was friendly and accommodating. I ordered the grilled seafood platter; it was delicious. My husband and son ordered two different seafood and pasta dishes that they both liked. Nice place to have a leisurely dinner. My only criticism is that the menu could be a little more adventursome. Try it.

The choices in food were excellent as was the the service. Loved the different kinds of areas available for seating...informal screened porch or more formal dining room. Can also dine in the gazebo! My family thoroughly enjoyed the fresh seafood; I'm not a lover of fish, so have had the steaks and pork chops, which were delicious. Will definitely return!

Restaurant was empty when we came in but you'd have thought they were waiting for the queen of England. Didn't have reservations (again, the restaurant was empty), yet the old lady at the front desk was pretty rude and acted as if we were scum off the street. We were seated by the bar (for the third time, the restaurant was empty) and although the waiter was very nice and efficient, the food was only ok. Probably won't go back - the battleax out front is enough to cure me. There are plenty of other places that will take our money with a smile. That old lady wasn't a good role model for southern hospitality and since I was with 2 people from out of town, it was frankly embarrassing.

We were in Myrtle Beach for the annual" Run to the Sun" car show and visited with a friend who lives there year round. My wife ordered Crab Cakes and I ordered Salmon Florentine. Both were EXCELLENT, and it was the best seafood meal we had in our 3 day visit. The service was also the best. When we go back, we will return to this warm, cozy place, overlooking Murrell's Inlet.

Not a redneck, but a discriminating southerner knowing the difference, having lived all over the country, the Hot Fish Cub is the best for real southern charm. Do not go there unless you have a personality please as we don't care for milquetoasts in the Gazebo. This is a place where the old south meets the new so be prepared for loud bands and a great party atmosphere. The food is excellent and the action is all nuts all the time. Dogs allowed in the bar.

I am traveling alone so ate early. I choose the sunset special because of its contents without realizing that it was an "early bird special". It was EXCELLENT. The fish was very fresh as were the vegetables. The house salad dressing was wonderful. Service was prompt and friendly and I did not feel uncomfortable being alone. When the bill came at the end of the meal, I almost fell off my chair thinking they had made an error because it was so inexpensive. A very pleasant experience.

Arrogant should be in the name of the restaurant. Kind of felt like we were imposing on the seating person and should have been grateful for their putting up with us. Food is good to excellent, but don't plan to go back - - - and we eat out twice a day when we're in MB.

We are locals, used to love going out to the gazebo, enjoying the view and ordering appetizers and drinks, listening to the music.

For some reason, the last time we went , the quality of the appetizers had really changed. The coconut shrimp was not the same and undercooked. Fried food was cooked in bad oil, nothing was fresh anymore. Never order the fried green tomatoes......they were awful.

They had also stopped serving the full menu outdoors , but the wait for a table inside was over 1-1/2 hours. I was so disappointed, we took friends and had highly recommended the restaurant.
