11/21/06 Visted your restaurant for about the 7th time since living in Myrtle Beach. Food was usually okay but expensive. The food servers know they will get their tips from those people who take advantage of your buy one get one free coupon which we had never used before. The waitress never came back to see how things were until our meal was finished, why should she, she knows she is getting a 20% tip no matter what she does or doesn't do. I got the Prime Rib that was salted to the point that I could not eat it & my husband got a steak that was so dry he almost choked on it. Very, very dissapointed. There are too many good restaurants in Myrtle Beach, can't understand why your menu is so limited and 95% of your choices are put over a fire pit. Is it because it looks impressive, but the results are poor.

We had a wonderful meal here! Try the Grilled Rib Eye with madera sauce, garlic mashed potatoes and green beans. We also loved the Creme Brulee dessert. All the salad choices are excellent. Call ahead for a reservation and you never have to wait. Our waitress was very attentive and pleasant. It's a bit noisey but not noisey enough for us to hold a conversation with our friends. Restaurant is cozy and romantic. We will be back.

Overall this restaurant is a waste of money that could have been spent better somewhere else. The steak that was ordered "very well done" came back medium well at best. Plus there are roach motels in the (booth)seat cushion that our child reached down and grabbed. Not very classy for a supposedly top notch restaurant. Save your time and money and use it somewhere else.

The food was good and the prime rib was well seasoned but the quality of the beef was only fair. My wife had the salmon and enjoyed it. The salad and baked potatoes were fine. The service was excellent as we were made to feel very welcome, unusual for many of the places we dine at in Myrtle Beach. We will visit again soon..

My husband and I have been to this restaurant several times and just can not believe how bad the service is. I actually think that this is the worst restaurant I have been to in all of Myrtle Beach. The servers always ignore us and they are extremely rude. I have had better service at Dick's Last Resort! If you want good service and great food go to Martini's or Thouroghbreds.

To be the only two people seated, the service was below average - the waitress was really busy having her lunch. When the food arrived, we knew we would not be coming back....dull...!!!! NO taste.....! Maybe if we had been seated in the 'regular' dining area the service and food would have been better but when we asked for smoking accomodation, we were left on our own to find the bar, with no menu, and totally ignored for some time. We passed thru the parking lot after an Alabama show last night and the lot was full so maybe we should have tried dinner...not!!! We won't be going back any time soon!!

I have eaten at Normans 6 or 7 times over the years during my golf trips. It can be hit or miss. On two of the trips I've enjoyed what I would consider to be the best steak I've had in my life. Earlier this year both my steak and my friends steak (NY strip) had quite a bit of gristle. For the price, you would expect more consistent quality.

The meals my wife and I ordered were both very poor, made worse by the fact that they were very expensive. We eat at up scale restaurants all the time and do not mind paying for good food but this place is definitely all flash and no substance.

We have been dining there since the resturant opened. The service is always fantistic. Some of the waitstaff have been there for years, for me always a good sign. Often during a 2 week stay we will pop in for dinner 3 to 5 times. There calamari and sauce is the best I have ever had. My husband ofter enjoys the different fish dishes while I usually have the steak au poivre, you can't go wrong with the spinach salad. If you are there for lunch try the Fish and Chips.. The bar has good drinks and the staff is friendly. Jonathan at the front desk is great and our favorite waiter is Jess.

The food is quite good, and the server was very knowledgable about food and drink combinations, wineries, etc. We ate out on the deck, which has a great view of the waterway, but the indoors ambience was exquisite and worth checking out. I live in the area, so I hope to go back soon!

Go somewhere else!!

It was our last night in Myrtle Beach, so my wife and I decided to go a little more upscale for dinner. It turns out we would've been better off at McDonalds. We were insulted by the entertainment and we were both sick late that night and felt miserable the next day.

The night started off perfectly. We were even given a table outside even though I forgot to request that with my reservations - with no wait. The waiter was very friendly and attentive. However, we were both sick that night, probably from the tuna we had to start.

The worst part was being insulted by the entertainment. It was 10:30 PM and my wife and I had enjoyed the music this guitarist was playing during dinner so much that we decided to stick around and move up closer to the stage. We were sitting for no longer than 2 minutes at the table before the guy stopped in the middle of the song to ask my wife and I if we wanted him to play something special. I said "sure why not, how about something so that my wife and I can dance." His response was that we had been so "disrespectful" that we would just have to wait a while before he would entertain. Ya, I know - totally out of the blue. I was so ticked off that this hack went out of his way to speak down to us, that my wife had to drag me out of there before I let my temper get the best of me. It didn't end there though...as we walked out he finished his song and made another comment.

Avoid the fish and the unprofessional entertainment.

We have been coming to Myrtle Beach for 10 years and last year was our first visit to this restaurant. The restaurant is expensive but the food and service were phenominal!! We had constant attention of the staff, food was served exactly as ordered and we had 4 people to service our table. We plan to eat here again and make it a regular place for one of our evening meals. I go on vacation to go to a high end restaurant and enjoy the service and that is exactly what happened at Greg Norman's.

A serene atmosphere - great place for meal without the kids (too pricey to take them anyways!). My husband is still talking about his tuna entree while I was a fan of the Boston bibb salad. The chocolate souffle is a must for dessert. After dinner was sat in the bar on the leather couches, drank wine, and watched the sunset - beautiful. We look forward to our next visit.

Greg Normans is one of our favorites in the Myrtle Beach area. My wife and I have been there several times and have always had great food and a pleasant experience. Last time we both had the Prime rib and it was fantastic, cooked just the way we wanted it. The atmosphere and view of the intercoastal were very nice. The service was very good too. It is a little pricey, but I would definitely recommend it.

Average food and a horribly snooty attitude from the wait staff. This is Myrtle Beach; if I want to come in flip flops, shorts and Myrtle Beach Polo Club tank-top, then I should be able to.

Quite disappointing. We went there after a day out - we were dressed in jeans and from the moment we entered the restaurant we were treated as second rate citizens. As we are definitely not poor, just happened to be unaware of any dress code or expectations for the restaurant before entering - -I was appalled at the looks the hostesses gave us, (she very much gave the appearance of looking down on us) not to mention the slowness with which we were waited on. Had I been alone and had it not embarrassed my husband to have walked out, I most certainly would have. I think the staff at this restaurant needs to learn that people are people, and should be treated with respect regardless of the clothes the vacationers happen to have on at the moment - or at a minimum - a dress code should be mentioned at the door if there is a certain expectation there!!!!!! If, however, it was simply this particular night (Monday, January 30)- and this particular hostess, then she should be talked with - for I have NEVER felt the way she made me feel....I'm quite accustomed to a most different treatment to say the least!!!

Yes, disappointed certainly describes my/our complete experience....

Went there after the Boat Show last weekend for a hot toddie and a light meal in the bar. Service was good, good Irish coffees, beautiful bar overlooking the water and boats. What they lack is bar food, light fare for someone who doesn't want a big sit-down meal. They spent a fortune on the bar. They should spend a little more for a bar menu.

We have been coming to North Myrtle Beach for the past 15-16 years as we have a condo across the street at Ocean Creek. August 2005 was our first visit to Greg Norman's Grill. It was the best restaurant experience we have ever had in the Myrtle Beach area. It has now become the favorite pick of our whole family. Our son never had eaten a steak before and decided to order a fillet mignon -- he now loves steaks but really only looks forward to ordering them at Greg Norman's. The wait staff was excellent and the bar staff service was way over the top -- We will be back many times in the future -- Good show!!!!!!!

Although it is pricey, we love the food here, never had a bad meal. The coupons in the winter make it well worth it. Only problem we ever had was that not aware of their adding the 18% gratuity, we added another 18% and the waiter did not tell us. When we got home,we called and they adjusted our charge, but we thougtht that was a little suspect and being regulars, were quite offended. Go anyway. It's worth is, just keep an eye on your tab.

This is a very nice restaurant. As a party of three we enjoyed our meal. The food was delicious and our waitress was very attentive.

As the three of us smoke we were seated in the bar area. Fortunately, the noise level was very tolerable even with the numerous TVs playing.

Why do restaurants with upscale prices need to pretend they are sports bars? I did not see one customer watching TV. We came to drink, socialize and enjoy good food. I could stay home, have leftovers and sit in front a TV.

Tried it once - will never go back. We had a large party, and were told when we were seated that an 18% gratuity would automatically be added to the bill. This might have been the reason why our waiter pretty much ignored us all night - after all, he knew the tip was a done deal! It lacked atmosphere, friendliness, and was HORRIBLY expensive. We all left absolutely disgusted. We come down from Canada twice a year, and just love Myrtle Beach. This is the only bad experience we have ever had.

I'm an Aussie that has been away from home for a long time. I was craving some lamb and thought this would definitely be the place to get it. I ordered the rack of lamb which consisted of 5 of the smallest cutlets I've ever seen and a limpy little salad under it. My husband had the prime rib and a potato. Add some bread and that came to $75. Needless to say, I went home hungry and disapointed. Either drop the prices or add more sides, but no one should be going home hungry for $75 Greg! Shame on you.

My husband and I loved this restaurant and will be back often! The food was delicious, the staff was very attentive and very knowledgable about the menu and the wine list is fantastic! My husband's an Aussie and he loved everything, so you know this place is authentic. Yes, it may be pricier than some, but well worth it, especially if you are looking for some real "fine dining" instead of the usual tourist fare. Go!
