Garden City Beach Cafe closed several months ago. Just reopened under new ownership as Eggs Up Grille.

That was pretty spceial that you were able to do that for your daughter. Somewhere your parents are looking at you and smiling because as parents we always want a better life for our kids and that you were able to provide that for your daughter is a cherished moment. After all, are we not suppose to live for them? And it sounds like you got some rest and relaxation out of it as well. -:)

Well I came into the Garden City Beach Cafe and I was sat quickly. The waitress was wonderful..... The older lady at the register acted like she was disgusted that we had come in... She was not very pleasant... Then there really wasnt very many people in there and we waited for 55 mins for 2 eggs, bacon ,grits , toast and my wife ordered french toast which came to the table cold... It was ridiculous that the owner of that place allows this to happen. The waitress is the only person who kept appologizing about the wait.. I feel sorry for the girls that work there..

I've been to a lot of breakfast places at the beach and this is one of the worst. The service was okay, but the food was terrible. I had been in there once before and it was decent but this time I ordered an omelette and it came out undercooked and sloppy. My home fries were also undercooked and hard inside. I'm surprised at how much it has gone down hill since last time I was there. I won't be returning.

I bring my familly to garden city three times a year and we eat here every morning. The food is outstanding and they treat you like kings. Forget the chain restaurants and give this place a try. If you are not happy there, never go anywhere that doesn't have a drive through!.

My family LOVES this restaurant. Just what we wanted to find and the food is great. They have tons of selections so it makes it nice for everyone. They made us feel right at home and the bill was very, very reasonable. That's why we can afford to go again and again.

My wife and I stopped in for breakfast because we were in the area on our first morning in town. We hadn't known about this restaurant, but it was roomy inside and the table at which we were seated gave us enough room to be quite comfortable. The waitress was very friendly and prompt. Our food was very good and came to us quickly. I saw no reason for anyone to avoid this restaurant. Everyone there seemed to be happy to be there and I'd suggest you give this establishment a try if you're looking for good food at a very reasonable price.

We are so glad we found this place. We go out for breakfast all week when we are in Myrtle Beach and we spent a lot of time looking for the right place. This is it. The food was great and very hot. Everything was made and served just as we asked for it. The prices were great too. The staff was very pleasant. This will be our regular breakfast place!

Don't bother to spend your money at this place. They are very rude to their customers. If you question the menu, they don't bring your food. When they FINALLY do bring it, it's gross. The waitresses are fat and wear tight jeans and tight pink tee shirts that show their fat rolls and it is very unappetizing to try to eat while some fat slob is waddling around. The food is not prepared to menu specs at all. They can't make eggs benedict or the hollandaise sauce to save their lives. This is family owned and operated, this family is rude and the smart ass comments to your guests is not appreciated. With over 1500 different restaurants that serve breakfast and lunch in this area, I won't be going back to this place, nor will I ever recommend it to anyone!! Your smart ass waitresses and cooks have lost you business, maybe you ought to teach them some manners.

Ok, so I went to the Garden City Beach Cafe to get a bite to eat for breakfast to go. I knew I would probably have to wait 10 mins or so and I didn't mind since I wasn't in a huge rush. Well, I got in and asked for a breakfast sandwhich (which they normally serve on an biscuit) and I asked them if they could serve it on bread instead. I was told that the owner really didn't like changing up the menu, but she would ask. I thought it was a bit ridiculous she even had to ask that considering they served other breakfast sandwiches on bread. So she asked and they said "ok"... so it took her a LONG time to enter in my order and then she asked me to have a seat and wait. I waited FOREVER... well over 15 mins. I had grown impatient and I was hungry. I asked them to check on the food. When the food was finally done, I asked the lady for ketchup (well, actually I had already asked for it, but I thought she had forgotten)... she told me she put some in the bag, but I didn't see it. SHe then looked in the bag and pulled out ONE packet of ketchup (I had also gotten a side of hash browns). I asked her if there was any way she could give me more than one packet.... she then went behind the counter and only gave me one more packet. I don't know the service wasn't great, I waited FOREVER and I probably will never go back. Just thought everyone should know.... and the food was mediocre.

Tracy, Shirley, Shannon, Amanda, Kelly, Jen and all of the staff are always warm, pleasant and outgoing. The atmosphere is family friendly. It is a pleasure to visit Garden City Beach Cafe and sample the excellent daily specials as well as other creative items on the regular menu. We visit the restaurant at least three times a week for breakfast and lunch and are never disappointed. We highly recommend that you visit Garden City Beach Cafe just once. You will cultivate real friends, excellent food, and will go back again and again.
