We are very upset with the lack of concern or courtesy shown by head of staff. Took 17 people to eat at 6:30 pm on Sat. Sept. 14, 2013. We were told a wait of 30 minutes and let them know we would kindly wait. We waited 30 min and ask whether or not things were progressing with the response ... I said about 30 minutes, no one can determine how long it will be ..... We proceeded outside to wait and decided after a 40 - 45 minute wait total and not even the courtesy of checking on us or simply responding that they are working on getting us a table ... We left! Simply saying we will not return. If there is no concern or an attitude of we can't help you and could really care less;; Please change your name or get someone who cares about the customer, Thank you! Lots of business lost this way. ref: 27048

Great service and good food for the price. The three of us ate breakfast for $7.38. We each had two eggs, bacon, toast and grits. Not bad for breakfast at Myrtle Beach, SC! Older place but well kept! Will eat there again! ref: 27039

2 trips, both for ice cream only. First trip was fine, seated promptly and server was nice, ice cream yummy. The restaurant itself is older, in fair condition, not sparkling but OK. Second trip; seated quickly but then the waitress never came back to take our order. Two other waitresses passed us by several times on the way to another table but never stopped to ask us if we needed help. We were only the 3rd party in the restaurant, so its not like they were busy. We decided to leave without ordering. On the way out we noticed the manager sitting at a table eating his supper so we stopped by to tell him "we are leaving because we never got to order, no one came back." I think the food dropped out of his mouth and he was out of that booth like a rocket was under his butt. Someone got chewed out over that one. Too bad, we really wanted some ice cream. ref: 22569

This was by far the worst dining experience I have ever had. Upon arrival we were told that there would be a 10 minute wait to be seated. Half of the restaurant was empty and there was only a few in front of us (4 people total) waiting to be seated. Once we finally got seated it took an additional 30 minutes to get our drinks then
an additional 30 minutes to get our order taken. This whole dining experience took a total of 1 hr 45 min. Upon leaving this disgusting dump of a restaurant I asked to speak to the manager because we never received the check and the total experience was absolutely awful, I was then greeted by this untidy, poorly dressed woman with a bad attitude named Jennifer Grady who stated she was the manager. I proceeded to inform her that this is not the way to run a successful business or how you treat your customers. She said that she could care less about my families experience and held her hand out for payment of $50 and some change. This will be the last time I ever dine at Friendly's Restaurant and I will tell everyone I ever meet never to attempt to eat at one of these sorry excuses for a restaurant. I would rather recommend the nastiest Waffle House in the world than recommend Friendly's Restaurant. This was definitely false advertisement because I did not meet one person that worked at this establishment that was even close to the description of friendly. The owner of this establishment needs to take some classes in business management and hire a staff that actually cares about the future of their restaurant. This is a word of advise from someone with a Masters Degree In Business Management.

The food was great and the service was amazing. Last year we had a couple bad experinces. my kids love it so we tried it again and it was great. they said they were under new managment and you could definitly tell definitly ref: 22195

We come to North Myrtle Beach for four months every winter. We eat at many of the local restaurants and Friendly's is one of our favorites. Everyone there makes us feel welcome and treats us like family. We enjoy the variety and quality of the food and the prices are great. The coupons in the paper while we are here give us an even better deal. We feel that Friendly's is a restaurant that all ages will enjoy. ref: 21673

What a disappointment! I didn't find anything friendly about Friendly's The wait was long, my husband (a Large man) and I were seated at a little table against the wall while there were other tables available where we would have been more comfortable. Our food was just ordinary, no worse than that. It was a waste of calories. And the price was very high considering the quality of our food and service. We won't go there again. ref: 18000

Food good. Where else can you eat a lot of decent comfort foods and get delicious ice-cream for cheap? The problem is that the place is filthy! Haven't eaten there twice in the past month. My kids love it! Of course, they don't realize how gross the place is. Ick. ref: 16559

Absolutely the worst dining experience I have had. We waited for 50 minutes to receive our food and never got it. We left after watching many other customers who came in after us get their food before us. We will never, ever eat here again!. ref: 16065

I'm sorry but all the Friendlys in south carolina have a really nasty smell to them and that's jus disgusting because your not even able to get because the smell. That's one of the worst bussinesses i've ever been in.. ref: 14212

Our first night in Myrtle we went to Friendly's for a quick, easy, and reliable dinner. The food was terrible. From the iced tea (not even drinkable) to the fries (clearly fried in the same vat as fish), and everything was doused in salt.... First bad Friendly's experience ever. ref: 13013

I know this wont help but I have always liked Friendlys until today I used to always get the oriental chicken salad there was only a few peices I could eat and the rest was skin and dried up dark meat it looked as though they just used some old chicken they had it used to be fresh grilled this was so bad I couldnt eat it I asked the waitress if she would eat anything like that she said oh its skin they put in the sauce I do not eat chicken skin at all they had sheets of paper on the table with questions to be filled out I did fill it out but she took it so know the manager never got it im 77 and on a fixed income and going out to eat is atreat but not when its something I cant eat you can be sure ill never go there again and I have been going to Friendlys for many years and I will tell my friends about it I guess when you are old no one cares about what they serve to you but I wasnt always old and went there many times but no more hope someone does something about it but I doubt it the Friendlys is at the coventry mall in pottstown ,penna . ref: 10186

Friendlys is always very good with service and the food quality is wonderful. The menu has been extended in the padt years and it does keep up with any other competitors in the area.

Terrible!!!! Kelly the Manager was not helpfully and was not Friendly. Shouldn't you be friendly to work at Friendly's? The only part of my meal that was right was the Ice Cream. ref: 9224

We were promptly seated and told who our waitress would be.
We ordered an all American Hamburger and a chicken sandwich after getting our drinks. The waitress, Amanda was clean, had a nice smile and was very polite. The french fries were very warm, just the way we like them and the sandwiches were great. We also ordered two sundaes and coffee for desert. I had the new Coffee Crunch Sundae and my husband had a Strawberry Sundae which were both very good. We don't get too much time off from work together and were glad that this was such an enjoyable lunch. ref: 9089

We live in N Myrtle Beach and to be honest their "buy one get one coupon" is misleading to say the least. You can get better prices w/out the coupons! You have to buy a beverage for each meal which jacks the prices back up. Some of the wait staff are not "friendly" either. I agree with others who say if you are in the South you should serve grits with breakfast, this is NOT upstate NY. ref: 6979

My kids loved the ice cream that came WITH thier entree!! Adults entrees come with ice cream as well. They have EXCELLENT ice cream. WILL go back. ref: 6342

On 18 Dec 06 at 10:30 am we visited this restaurant again. This time the manager was very unfriendly. One of the waitressess (not ours) was unfriendly and rude to us. Our waitress Eileen was very nice and efficient. As locals we can spend our money many other places during the off season. They should be more respectful if they expect to have any locals this off season. I see why few people were there. The manager should consider attending classes to improve her people skills. ref: 4492

The food is OK, but nothing to write home about. Service was good on a quiet winter morning. They need to add grits to their menu if they want to be a real southern breakfast spot. ref: 240
