My favorite place to dine in Pawleys! Very romantic. We like to sit near the fireplace. Good for Clemson and USC games.

Just wanted to talk about the horrible expierence we had at Franks! First off our waitress or as my wife called her the "gold tooth grinch" got our drink order, which included wine and other drinks seemed to take forever for her to return. After listened to the other waiter tell specials next to us our waitress returned only to tell half of the specials! We all looked at each other amazed after we had joked to other waiter about how great those specials sounded. We found her to be short with us and like it was a bother for her to be there waiting us.My wife on the way to to bathroom saw her texting on the phone. After the main course was over again the waiter next to us described some great desserts,we were not offered the same. We had been recommended to try this place food was good service at our table lacked to osay the least.

I and my wife, spent three weeks in Pawleys Island, and wanted to try as many places as we could for a good meal. On our second day, we had lunch at Frank's Outback, and found it wonderfull, great service, good price, and a overall great place. This is the only place that we had more than one meal at. I loved it. Michael Dabrowski

Outstanding food, service, atmosphere! We think the price is slightly high, but worth it for the quality offered. One of our best choices when we entertain visitors.

We are long-time snowbirds, and have been going to Frank's Outback since we discovered it in 2000. They have made many improvements, additions, and renovations since then, most for being able to serve during colder weather. You can be seated outside, near the cute little bar or the wonderful fireplace, or there are several tented areas. Large portable heaters are placed strategically for winter months. All are enhanced by a small fountain and many plants, as well as the live oaks that make a natural tent overhead. On weekends, there is often live music after 7:00 pm.

You do need reservations on better weather evenings, for which you will be seated quickly. The food is great 95% of the time, but there are a very few "misses" on occasion. In addition to regular upscale entrees (which are often the same as what's served inside in Frank's, but at lower prices), you can get one of their interesting large salads or wood fired pizzas. You could also make a meal of the appetizers.

Eating here is a real low country experience, as you are surrounded by the lush greenery native to Pawleys Island. Due to several recent new restaurant openings in the area, it seems that the Outback is less crowded than it once was - but that doesn't mean their quality has slipped any. It's a long time locals favorite that will be here well after some of the new places have closed!
