The very best flounder I've ever eaten. The dinner (3 of us) was outstanding. Service was very prompt and courteous. Our waitress was very busy but she was right on with everything. I don't remember her name, but I do remember ordering extra lemons and she stated "I eat them like you do." She was great. The best meal by far at any place I've eaten in Myrtle Beach. Loved it. You get what you pay for....and it's worth it! Big fan here.

We ate with seven people. We were seated promptly however took a while to get the drinks which were a bit overpriced. At the table most of the individuals ordered beef dishes which were disappointing. Prime rib appeared to be a specialty item again this was disappointing. They are not bashful with their prices, ... the day we went there were few people in the restaurant this should of been a clear indicator of what was to come. But you live and learn.

After patronizing the owner's family restaurant " Dino's House of Pancakes, when it was located in downtown Myrtle Beach for years, I decided to try the Flamingo Grill. I ordered the filet mignon and lobster tail. It was outstanding. The food was cooked to perfection and I have the same waitress every time I visit. The whole staff have been expertly trained on everything from customer service, beverage, and the local fare. The owner visits the table like his old man use to do. The Greeks want the feedback now so they can solve the problem, if any, immediately. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. The prices are a little steep, but, with great food, atmosphere, and the knowledge of the staff, its well worth with. The noise level was not a problem and I don't remember waiting that long, then again, I get to all restaurants early as possible for dinner. I shall return the summer of 2012

My husband and I found Flamingo's several years ago on our first trip to Myrtle Beach. We fell in love with it. In fact we ate there several times that week even though we had to drive a long way to get there. The waiter suggested the trigger fish which I had never heard of. I was hesitant at first because I don't like strong tasting fish. He assured me that I would love it and I did. Last year we went back to Myrtle Beach and Flamingo's was the first place we had dinner. I was disappointed because they didn't have any trigger fish that night. The waiter explained that they can't always get it everyday. However, later in the week they did. We are getting ready to head back to Myrtle Beach next week and I can't wait to eat there again. This is by far the best restaurant we have eaten at in Myrtle Beach.

On Thurs., Feb 17, 2011, I ordered she-crap soup for an appetizer, ofwhich I often order from Hennessey"s, in Columbia. It was served slightly cold, and became cold quick. I tried to tolerate it, but asked the waitress to warm it up. I had to ask her four (4) times. It was quiet uncomfortable for me since I was on a date and I am from out of town. She finally heated the soup with an attitude that I did NOT appreciate. Her attitude took away from the quality of your resturant. Upon entering your resturant, I did NOT notice, "no out of town guest allowed or no african americans allowed!" What was/is the major issue with a paying customer asking for their soup to be warmer? I thank you in advance for your prompt responds to my question and solutions to my issue. Respestfully, Ms. Black

We really enjoyed our dinner at Flamingo's. Our server, Robert was very attentive. We especially enjoyed the Lobster Bites and would like to know how to make them and the sauce served with them. We shared the Grouper dinner and it was plenty of food for both of us. We will go back.

Was my families first time to Myrtle Beach and we searched for (4) nights looking for a great seafood restaurant. Many of the over-advertised seafood houses have over-priced seafood that taste like frozen grocery food. On our (5) night in the area we went to Flamingo Seafood Grill – what an experience… The service was outstanding and the food was to die for… This restaurant is a first attend experience on arrival to this area… The meal costs were between $20 - $30, but well worth it for the meal quality…

We had a great waitress with great steaks (prime ribe and ribeye) and a great grouper special. The she-crab soup was a good appetizer too. We even had one of the managers bring our food out - since he looked like he might be - we asked and he was. We complimented him on his staff and food. He said he has no staff currently who has less than 3 yrs with him and tonight it was 17, 15, 7 and 9 yrs. That says a lot in a beach resort town.

This was and will be our last visit. We had seen their commerical and decided to visit. My wife ordered one of their pasta dishes which she said was good. I ordered fried shrimp and a crab cake, which was extremely nasty, tasted like the deviled crab you can get at any cheap fish house. I complained the waiter, but he could care less and did not even comment about it. The kicker was the "kids" pasta with marinara. It was so spicy I could not eat this, and my 6 year old certainly could not, mentioned this the waiter, no repsonse, he was a total waste and our bill was 50.00 never again will I give my hard earned money to this place.

The shrimp cocktail was delicious, but the grouper had a thick batter that made it look like fried chicken and the Cajun shrimp was dry. Too expensive. The check should have been half what it was and that might still have been too much for the quality of the entrees. I guess they're catering to rich Canadians.

My husband and I have been eating at Flamingo's for over 10 years now. We live 3 hours away in Columbia, however one Saturday night we just HAD to have Flamingo's so drove 3 hours there, ate dinner and then drove 3 hours home. If you spend 6 hours in a car driving to eat an hour long meal, then you KNOW this place is awesome! The crab cake is a must have, and the bartender makes a mean Cosmopolitian! Somehow we always have Patrick as our waiter and he is just great! Every year on our anniversary we eat there and they give us buttons that say "I've Been Anniversaried" The owner (if on site) comes by the table to check on your needs and the quality of the food/service and is a super nice guy! If you don't eat at any other resturant in Myrtle Beach, SC, you simply must eat here! Mmmmmmm......

The quality-price ratio of the food and drinks we had here was very, very low. In addition to being not fresh, the fish we had was terribly dry. Both the strawberry daiquiri my wife had and the margarita I had were terrible (tasting about as fresh as Kool-Aid right out of the package). The fried shrimp my (12-year-old) daughter had was satisfactory. Without tip, our dinner for 3 cost $122. The generally positive reviews we saw led us here. We're sorry we can't add to that list of positive reviews.

While the food was good, the service we received was substandard. We were a table of eight, including two teenagers. The waitress behave as if she did not want to deal with our group. She was slow in responding to our requests, treated the teenagers with disdain and completely forgot an appetizer that had been ordered. The impression that she left was that we were an annoyance to her. In spite of that, we were assessed an 18% service charge because we were a large group. Normally I understand that concept; however we had not received even adequate service. No one complained at the time because our main goal was to get out, but this is one group of eight that will never return or recommend this restaurant.

My wife and I have enjoyed Cagney's for a number of years and decided to try the Flamingo, since Cagney's was still closed on 1/30/09. Our prime rib and steak were both tough, but cooked medium as ordered. Our waitress seemed to focus on talking with other employees, manager, etc. rather than checking on needs of the other couple and us, the only customers at the time. It was early afternoon on our visit, but Outback, directly across the street had a large crowd. Our bill was $48 with coke, coffee and no appetizers, which is not bad, but quality and service were lacking. This was NOTHING like our experiences at Cagney's!!!

We love the sister restuarant Cagney's and thought we would give Flamingo Seafood Grill a try. I was disappointed, the mashed potatoes were cold and pasty, Creole Shrimp appetizer was not freshly prepared and the vegetables were cold. Meat is their speciality and it was not cooked to our satisfaction. Decor is old and the restaurant is rather dark. I'll stick with Cagney's.

We called ahead (30 minutes) so the wait was only ten minutes by the time we arrived. Decor is neon and modern, but very family friendly. Service was fantastic, our waitress was Emily, and she was always on top of our requests. Food is fantastic, we had Lobster bites as app, Peppercorn encrusted tuna, crab cakes, and tilapia as entrees. Its a bit pricey if you add wine or liquor, which we did, but would have been a bargain without the afore-mentioned. Still we have only the kindest comments and Flamingo's is a definate must visit, We will be returning soon,,,

Based on reviews for this restaurant, I decided to bring my family here on June 23rd. We called a couple of hours prior to our visit so there was no wait at all. We were taken right in. I got the 2 lobster tails, my wife had the filet mignon, and my son had the open faced chicken sandwich. We also ordered the fried lobster bites as an appetizer as I am a lobster freak and can't get enough of it. The lobster bites reminded me of a carnival funnel cake with lobster bits in it. We had mixed feelings about it, but it wasnt for me. As far as our entrees went we were all more than satisfied. The service and atmosphere are great along with the food. Those were two nice sized lobster tails I got. I think the biggest I ever had for twin tails. We enjoyed our meals and had a great overall dining experience. In my opinion this was the best of the sit down restaurants we dined at during our stay. I will definitely be back on my next visit to MB and would highly recommend this establishment if you want an elegant meal. It ran us about 150 bucks including drinks and seemed well worth it to us. The Flamingo is a winner.

I've been driving by the Flamingo Grill every year for nearly a decade promising myself I'd stop in and give it a try. I took note of the fact that it's a very classy place and was excited to get my food! I ordered the crab stuffed grouper and was very impressed. The staff was attentive and made not one mistake. Then I got the bill. It was over $65 for my girlfriend and I and we didn't even have alcohol. As weird as it may sound, I'd go back.

My wife and I have been to Flamingo Grill three times. Each dining experience equaled the previous one. The food is excellent. I always get the fried lobster to start off my meal. If you enjoy lighty fried tender lobster this is for you. The steaks are done to perfection and are delicious. Portions are large enough for even the hungriest of appetites. Service was outstanding. The restaurant is comfotable and pleasing to the eye. We enjoyed conversation with little trouble due to noise level. The Flamingo Grill is a must visit while in Myrtle. You will not be disappointed.

Flamingo Grill was outstanding. We had four adults and one child in our group and we were seated right away. We all ordered the Prime Rib and it was delicious. It was by far the best prime rib we had ever had. It was worth the money spent! The prices were about average in Myrtle Beach for a steak. When you go to Myrtle Beach, SC don't miss this place. It really is the best restaurant in Myrtle Beach.

I had driven by this restaurant more times than I can count. We finally gave it a chance this past june. It wasn't the best meal we had, but it sure didn't disappoint. I thought the food was delicious and the service was very good. The atmosphere was fantastic. I'd say the only disappointing thing was the bill. For two people and no drinks, our bill was over $70. I guess it was worth it because I'd definitely go back.

We love this restaurant, this will be our third time dinning there. On the outside it reminds you of some hip, new age night club. Yet you walk in, while stylish and sleak, it's still welcoming for our family. The selections are awesome! Most restaurants offer the same old choices, but I would place this one above most places I have eaten. The food was perfect. I ordered the fried lobster, the I ordered a steak I thought the lobster would not be enough! WOW, I was wrong! The appetizer was a meal! More than enough for two people. Everything was wonderful we will be back again this year.

This was my first time at Flamingo Grill. Could not have asked for a better experience. From the moment we entered the restaurant my party (out of town relatives, one who is handicapped) and myself were treated to the superb service. Julie, manager and waitstaff, Stormy, took care of every detail. Suggestion when having special needs be sure to make a reservation and inform staff of the situation. They will definitively accommodate. We had made reservations for an early dinner (6:30pm), few diners which made it easy to converse without lots of backround noise. The 3 of us have a hearing problem and as the dinning area filled up the noise level increased--no fault of the restuarant as there a birthday party a short distance from our table and enjoying themselves. Recommendation: Make an early reservation and have a good time.

Ate here on Saturday, May 26. Not at all crowded considering it was a holiday weekend. I've eaten here one other time last summer, and both times it was wonderful. Their blackened prime rib is the best prime rib I've ever tasted and the cajun shrimp and crab cake are also wondeful. We love the atmosphere too.

I love this restaurant! I just moved to the area from washington DC...we have awesome restaurants there, but I would place this one above most places I have eaten. The food was perfect. I orded twin lobster tails because I thought one would not be enough (I am used to them being very small) .... WOW, I was shocked...they were huge....more than enough for two people....better than any place I have ever been. They were cooked just right, sweet and the best texture. Other people I was with order steak and other items on the menu. Everyone was impressed!

This is perhaps the greatest all-around restaurant on the Grand Strand. It truly is. Fact is, had I not gone to Cagney's years ago after watching the promo on Beach TV, I might not have given much thought to go here. On the outside it reminds you of some hip, new age night club. Yet you walk in, while stylish and sleak, it's still welcoming for a family of four. And we have a four-year old. Beef selections, Italian, seafood, this is it. They perfect their work in everything they do. The menu is awesome. The prime rib is great. I had the prime rib and lobster the last time I went in March, and it was perfect. Attention to detail is obvious here. We try to get down to Myrtle Beach twice a year, and the last six or seven trips we've made we have not left without first going to Flamingo Grill. I'd recommend this restaurant to everyone. You will not be disappointed. The people running this outfit care too much about the customer, presentation, and attention to detail.

We have lived in this area for two years and it is the best on the beach by far. We eat there once every couple of months and have never had a bad experience. Great steaks (seafood too!) and the best salad I've ever had. Try the garlic vinagrette dressing, you'll love it.

This is by far my favorite place to eat at the beach. Plenty of selection and everything that I have ordered there has been great. We are at the beach at least 3 weeks out of each year and this is a must everytime we are there. Flamingo is also great for larger families with different taste. There is wide variety of food from steaks, chicken, and seafood dishes. Something for everybody. One of the best on grandstrand.

Chose this restaurant based on other reviews from this site. Wife and I were celebrating our sixth wedding anniversary here in Myrtle Beach and we chose Flamingo for our "special meal". Loved the decor and the smooth jazz playing in the background. Wait staff was extremely attentive and friendly!! Food was fresh and flavorful, not overly seasoned, just right. My wife was smiling the whole time she was there! We'll be back the next time we come to Myrtle, for sure!

Hey, Philly . . . If you like this one, go to its brother, Cagney's which is just a few miles north of Flamingo. We have been to Flamingo several times and have never been disappointed. We go at least once to Flamingo and twice to Cagney's each year.

We went there during our honeymoon and it was really nice. I keep it simple at places like this: steak and lobster tail - both were excellent. My wife had the prime rib and said it was good, not great. Great service and atmosphere for a nice night out.

This is one restaurant that is consistantly good. My husband and I have been eating there for years and I have never had a bad meal. The food is always delicious and service is always very good. When we have a large crowd going out for dinner, Flamingo is always the first choice by everyone. My two favorite items are the Cajun Lobster Chunks and Cajun Fried Shrimp. If you have not been there before, you should try it -you will not be disappointed.

This did not impress me. The only thing I got that was really good was the fried oyster appetizer. I had stuffed grouper which was one of the daily specials and it was practically tasteless. Friends I was with enjoyed their prime rib though, and the bite I tried was good.

My wife and I visited the Flamingo Seafood Grill on our visit to Myrtle beach last summer. It was our first visit to this restaurant. We were both pleased. The food was very flavorful. I had the prime rib, and it was very good. The atmosphere was actually better that what I was expecting. It was not too noisy. I do plan to go back on our next visit this summer.
