This was our first visit. We found out about this restaurant thu the Sunday news paper. The arterial was about Allisandar Finocchio and the restaurant. She and I have a lot in common. The food was excellent. We ordered the specials of the Chief. I would highly recommended the restaurant. BOUN APPETITO.

I dont care where you on the strand Finnochios is the best italian food restaurant you will ever find. The staff is superb. The food is beyond your wildest dreams. Everything is so full of flavor and cooked to perfection. I have eaten in many many so called Italian Restaurants but Finnochios is the best of the best. I ordered the Stuffed Veal Chop and my wife had Linguine with the scallops and Shrimp both dishes were best of any Italian Restaurant I have ever been to.

Words can not describe how poor the service was Finnochios tonight. From the time we walked in the door the waitress was rude and obnoxious. Keeping in mind this is an ITALIAN Restaurant.....they had no meatballs or meat sauce. We had to wait over an hour for our dinner salads to be served- with our dinners following less than 5 minutes later. When I asked to speak to the owner, I was told she was "busy in the kitchen" and when I confronted her and asked why she never acknowledged what the problem was but when on to make excuse after excuse for the poor service. I would NOT recommend anyone patronizing this restaurant.

My husband and I have been going to Finnochios for years; it is like being back in New Jersey; food is fabuolus, everything is very fresh all the time. Never had a bad meal there. John, Sandra, Jenna and Donna, think I am leaving someone out are all fantastic. WE JUST LOVE LOVE LOVE THE FOOD. The atmopshere is great, especially when Donna's boys play their music. We will be down at Easter and will be in Finnochio's one or two nights, for sure. Miss that place when I am back in NJ. It is a must go to place.

There simply is no better place to eat. The service is impeccable. If you desire true Italian cusine, this is the place to satiate your desires. For appetizers try the stuffed peppers, my favorite entree is the stuffed veal chop. You won't be disappointed. With nearly 1800 restaurants in the area Finnochio's leads the list of the top ten. We are locals that lived in NY & other areas for many years. Visit their website at www.finocchios-italian- ristorante.com

Quite simply, Finnochio's is the best Italian on the beach, maybe the best restaurant on the beach.

They are transplanted Brooklyn Italians who know how to do it right. Soon after they opened, they realized they would have to import key ingredients (veal and even bread) from the NYC area because the local SC suppliers did not measure up to their standards.

If they were in my area (DC), I'd live at their restaurant.

I work in a restautant so I have high expectations when it comes to service and food. This place was excellent on both. My boyfriend and I had a bottle of great wine, two apps, two entrees (which came with salad) and dessert and still didn't spend as much as we would at some of your chain restaurants. The wait staff was absolutely great and this is now a place that we will make the drive for on special occasions (even during bike week).

I am a local and tried Finnochios for the first time based on recommendations of friends. I'll admit that I wasn't impressed. Staff was very friendly and service was good, but the food was just mediocre. I had out of town guests and we all had something different. Nothing we had was anything special. I hope it was just a bad night, but I probably won't go back. There are too many other good options for italian food around the area.

This was an outstanding experience. It wasn't cheap but for one of the very best Italian restaurants I've been too, it was completely worth it. It wasn't busy so we got more than our share of attention. In fact, I kept wondering why a place so great didn't have more patrons. The food, service and atmosphere were nothing short of the very best. I could go on further about how impressed I was but won't... Bravo!

Finocchio's Italian Ristorante [www.finocchios-italian- ristorante.com] was superb and the service could not have been better. While it was a slow night, the specials were abundant. We started with the banana peppers and they could not have been better. The stuffed veal chop was superb. The marinara sauce was also tasty. I would not have changed a thing. Would highly recommend this restaurant; we will go back again soon.

We live here and have been to most of the fine dining restaurants in town and this is one of our top 2 favorites of any type. Excellent Northern Italian at very reasonable prices. Ask about specials as they are usually different and very good. The stuffed peppers are incredible when the chef can get them. Everything is excellent with the owner/chef and his wife there every night. They are from NYC and the food is authentic. Seafood dishes are excellent as are all other items. We've had most things on the menu and they are all good.

I am a local and love Finnochio's. I have enjoyed food all over the United States and this by far is the best Italian restaurant I have ever eaten. Food is awesome, service is outstanding, somewhat pricey for Horry County salaries but worth it. I am also a very critical person when spending $$$ to eat. My family as well as out of town friends are thrilled whenever we go for dinner. Today I will try their lunch. Another wonderful thing about Finnochio's is that they are donators to their community in which they live. The entertainment is fun but the musicians need to tone the sound down a little. We had a hard time sharing conversation when sitting near the front. Whenever a tourist or transplant asks where is a good restaurant I recommend Finnochio's

My favorite is their "Spaghetti a La Carbonara" and my husband loves everything on the menu. The owners John and Sandra always greet customers with a smile and sincere welcome. We have lived here for 10 years so we have been to many resturants up and down the Strand and this if our FAVORITE!

When visiting Myrtle Beach, we make it a must stop!! This place is fantastic. A quaint restaurant that is NY style and tastes like a fine restaurant in New York City (without the pricing of NYC) We looked high and low for a great Italian place and found it here. We look forward to our trips down to Myrtle Beach just to try something different on their menu. Chef hasn't let us down yet! The staff is very friendly and personable and they do everything they can to accomodate. You must try this place, you'll love it!

This is the BEST Italian resturant in the area. We have eaten here numerous times and everything is always exceptional! The owners, John and Sandra are friendly and the atmosphere is excellent. Be sure to give it a try if you are visiting the area!

Coming from Long Island NY where Italian Restaurants are everywhere i had a hard time finding one in SC that we enjoyed,,we tried at least 5 or 6 wih no great result, just ok,, The first time we ate here we were in Italian HEAVEN,, when our daughter came down for a visit and we were baby-sitting for our grandchildren, we sent them here and they agreed,, this was the restaurant to come to for a great Italian Dinner,, the other restaurants are good for the locals as they say down here,, LONG ISLAND BOB

Whether you walk in early or make a reservation, you always get seated immediatly. Excellent menu with a wide variety of choices. They also accept "off the menu" requests. My favorite is their "Spagetti A LA Carbonara" and my husband loves eveything on the menu. The owners John and Sandra always greet customers with a smile and a sincere welcome. We have lived here for nine years so we have been to many resturants up and down the Strand and this is our FAVORITE!

I live here so have tried this more than once, hoping I had just caught them on a bad day... not so.. the service was slow, staff rude, almost arrogant and the food isnt worth their prices.. they may have been great in the beginning, not now.

THE QUALITY OF THE FOOD IS BY FAR THE BEST IN THIS AREA. IT COMPARES WITH ANY RESTAURANT I HAVE BEEN TO IN NEW YORK TO CALIF. THE SERVICE IS OF TOP QUALITY. THE ATMOSPHERE OF THE PLACE COULD BE IMPROVED WITH SOME BETTER DECORATIONS. I HAD A VEAL CHOP THAT WAS STUFFED WITH A Great tasting cheese and meat stuffing. My wife's fish was fresh and very well seasoned.
