Stay Clear of This Restaurant!! This restaurant was outstanding in 2008 and I would have given it 5 stars. Now, it gets a 2 star @ best in 2010. We ate there on June 18th. When pulling into the lot, I noticed the name had been changed to the "King Crab". We were immediately seated which was nice. However upon taking our drink order, we were told that they were having issues with fountain drinks and that all forms of Coke was out. We normally order sweet tea anyways and wasn't much of an issue, until I noticed they had at least 20+ 2 liters of Coke/Diet Coke, etc. That meant our server blatantly lied to us, and with that many 2 liters, it didn't appear they had any plans to fix the machine. The food quality was mediocre and lacking, and of course they charged extra for crab legs. I decided not to pay the extra as the crab leg bin was hardly ever filled and was left with shrapnel, and was quickly emptied when they filled it. Most of the serving trays were empty, and were quickly scavenged when something new came out as travelers tried hard to recoup their money. The desserts and salad bar were horrible, and the ice cream machine was broken. In it's place were Great Value ice cream cups. That's right, the cheapest ice cream you can get from WalMart, along with several other bad desserts. The atmosphere was completely wrong for a seafood theming, and it was still decorated as the Farmer's Galley inside, with a monster shark outside on the new sign. I predict this place won't be around much longer as it currently is today. For a change of pace and better food, go to the Giant Crab in North MB. Night and Day comparison to the once great and now horrible Farmer's Galley.

Party of 12, six children, six adults from Florida where Buffet's are plentiful. Family atmosphere OK looks more like a home with lots of tables and a nice size buffet in the middle for everyone to enjoy. Overall our family thought the food was well seasoned. Variety of southern classics from collard greens to sweet potato casserole. The kids especially loved the fact that the Ice Cream came in little cups, rather frozen but they enjoyed. Cakes and pies OK at best. EXCELLENT SWEET TEA!! Price ok because it was buy one get one half off for adults. Kids price kind of HIGH at $8.00 per child over 5 and 5 of our 6 kids are over 5.

The Farmers Galley has good food and good service, but I hardly think it is worth the price they charge for a home-cooked buffet style restaurant! Their kids prices are totally outrageous, and because of that--our family will not eat there again! We used to eat there 2-3 times every time we came to MB. The last time, our bill was $90 for 2 adults and 2 children ages 11 & 6! It is not worth it when I can go to a Calabash or Steakhouse and not spend nearly that much!

The food was terrible. There were 6 adults in the party and we all love crab cakes and these were the worst we have ever eaten. There were no crab legs on the buffet and what was on the bar sure was not worth $14.95 plus $2.00 for a glass of tea-you could make a whole pitcher of tea at home for that much!!!!!

Being from ontario, canada, we were looking for a local place to eat a nice dinner after our 17 hour drive and snacking on cookies and pizza. We looked in our monster book and found a coupon for this restaurant. We ended up going there twice on our vacation for dinner and once for breakfast. I absolutely love their sweet potato bake (almost like an apple crumble)! their breakfast is also incredibly reasonable with a wide selection of food (all kinds of pork/bacon, pancakes, fruits, 2 different kinds of eggs, french toast, apple sticks, etc.).

It is the first time we had eaten at The Farmer's Galley. We had breakfast. It was delicious. The buffet was super with lots of choices. Our waitress was really sweet and efficient. We look forward to eating here again when we visit Myrtle Beach. We discovered a treasure on this trip!!!

Food was fantastic, everything was perfect even though it was after normal closing time. The waitress was super and with a personality that glowed. We didnt get her name but know that she drove down from Aynor which was quite a drive. We could have listened to her talk for hours as our being from the north our family adored her southern draw accent. She is a true asset to the restaurant and would light up anyones evening of dining.

My family and I found the Farmer's Galley through a coupon found at our hotel, August 2005. Not usually fond of buffets, I found the Farmer's Galley to be everything I had not expected (this is a good thing). This was a buffet I would be pleased to dine at over and over again. Excellent food (a lot of my southern favorites), clean and well decorated. Excellent service and value. We were very much looking forward to another fine meal when my husband and I returned to Myrtle in May 2006 for bike week, but were disappointed to find them closed during the event. I have since recommended the restaurant to any and all who ask, "Where's a good place to eat."

Recently, my friends, family and I stopped at this restaurant for dinner. The first thing I noticed as soon as I stepped into the restaurant was how the staff was dressed! everyone, including the teenagers, were dressed casual but appropriately. I have been to many restaurants where the staff were dressed according to 'today's ' standards.. But not here! dress is obviously very important to the owner and for that, I thank him! did I mention the staff is very friendly as well as efficient? the next thing I noticed was how clean everything appeared to be. So to check out just how clean it was, I made a trip to the restroom, this will always let one know just where cleanliness is on the list of priorities. Spotless! the bathroom was spotless and smelled clean as well. Last, I wondered how the food would be. I was not disappointed in the least! again, I have been to restaurants where there would be so much on the bar that it makes one wonder just how long it will be sitting there before all of it is eaten. Not here! every item was cooked to perfection. If you are wondering if I would go back to this restaurant?? well, as soon as I am through writing this.. I'm on my way! .

My husband and I went there on our second night in Mytrle Beach. My husband loves crab legs, he said they were the best he has had in years. He also stated how they would not cook them until you wanted another batch. This is a very nice place to take your family not only for seafood, but as well for country cooking too!

I'm a Myrtle Beach local. When I go out for crablegs, I go to Farmer's Galley. They are an extra $8 more than the buffet only, but they are well worth it. Bring your $5 coupon from Monster book and it is only $3 more!

We went to Farmer's Galley our first night in SC. This was a WONDERFUL meal. There is such a wide array of good country-style food as well as a fair amount of seafood and yummy desserts. The extra charge for the crab legs was $8, but well worth it as these were the BEST tasting crab legs I've ever had, and by far the best I've had in SC so far. Our waitress was super friendly and very attentive to our needs. I definitely recommend this restaurant and will return there in the future.

My family was on vacation to Myrtle Beach in July 2005 and we stopped in to the Farmer's Galley for dinner.

The hostess and our server were both very pleasant and made us feel welcome. Our server was there every few minutes checking to see if we needed anything and our glasses never reached empty.

The food was wonderful! Great home style country cooking.

It was a great value too.

I hope if you visit the Farmer's Galley you have as pleasant of a visit as we did.
