Had a Great time last year playing Corn Hole on Saturday afternoon. The food was always excellent and the beer was always cold. I heard that Corn Hole will be played on both Saturday & Sunday afternoons this year beginning the weekend of April 19th, start time will be approximately 1pm.

I live in Little River, but we go to the Beach outside Coconuts every chance we get. I noticed that some repairs and sprucing up of the place is going on. I love to eat there and the entertainment of watching the people play Corn Hole on Saturday is outstanding. Fun time can be had by all. Locals and visitors alike take part in the games for pretty nice prizes.

Where do you go to have great food? Coconuts Tiki Bar, that is if you can get over the crappy service provided. It is alot of fun to go on the beach with my family during the summer, especially when eating at Coconuts. Today my dad asked my sisters and I to pick up the food for him. We agreed and took a seat in the bar stools and got ready to order. That was when the bad service hit. Trying to get the waitress's attention was time consuming and aggravating. I am 11 and I understand people may overview an 11 year old trying to get their attention but I have 16 and 14 year old sisters and even they couldn't get the waitress's attention. Once finally contacting her she rolled her eyes and acted like it was such a hassle to take our order. She placed our order and my sisters and I paid her upfront for the food and sat back in the barstools and relaxed. My sisters and I were happy to realize we had extra money left over to hopefully have a virgin daiquiri or virgin pina colada each. After a good five to ten minutes I was able to get the waitress's attention. I asked her how much the virgin daiquiri was. She replied, "Three dollars." She didn't look up, she didn't ask if I would like one, she just walked off. I got her attention again and asked if the pina colada was the same. She sighed. I'm sure she thought I was wasting her time but I would like to know, you see. "Still three dollars." She replied. She wouldn't look in my eyes, she barely even acknowledged me! Well my sisters and I had enough money but the waitress had already walked off. I got the other bar tenders attention and she took my order and made the drinks half heartedly. The drink was fin but halfway through I was sucking air. Sure enough the whole bottom half of the drink was ice. Solid ice. Not a bit of strawberry drink left. I understand I'm 11, not old enough to tell the difference in between a good drink and a crappy one but let me tell you this was a crappy one. My old favorite waitress, Joanne, I know would have made it 10 times better but she left and all the other waitresses were worth nothing at all. I watched a nice group of teens/ preteens walk up and take a table near my sisters and I. The girls sat there a good fifteen minutes and no one took care of them. One girl stood up and went up to a bartender and asked, "Where do I order?" I assume it was her first time and didn't know what to do. The mean waitress replied, "At your table!" She had sarcasm and a disgusting tone in her voice and I would have left right then if only my food would've been there sooner. The teen girls left, mad. The two bartenders/waitresses talked near us and I overheard them say, "Apparently we're out of chicken tenders," an they shot a look in my direction. Yeah, my dad ordered chicken tenders, my bad. I am just supposed to cancel them due to their remark? NO! Why don't they just keep their mouth shut. Our food came and the waitress said, "You still owe me for your drinks," More irritation in her voice. I know. My sister had been waiting to pay and this was the first time they acknowledged us. We paid and left. Unfortunately we had tipped earlier before the bad service hit us. Guess that's why. I wanted to go back to the tip jar and take my money out but I didn't. I suppose I want to be the bigger person though I'm not even half her age. I suggest not eating there if you don't like crappy service. The food is pretty good so at least we know the chefs are serious and good at their job. I would suggest not eating there, because my relatives have told similar stories so you know this wasn't just a one time deal. It was the forth of July, it was busy, but can't you respect a person, even an eleven year old? I am not exaggerating at all on my story. The truth is what it is.

I have been going there for about five years but no more. They have a new staff and the attitude of the girl was terrible. There was a great bartender there named Trish and I aske where she was and the girl said we very snobbish like that we dont have anybody named Trish here and walked off like I offened her. My friends and I have been known to spend hundreds of dollars but this tine we spent 13.00 dollars. The experience was awful.

We keep going back because the location is great and the food is good. However the service is usually lousy and the waitresses are usually rushed and unfriendly. Forget drink refills. I agree with other review that a smile and some hospitality would be nice.

Two of the three barmaids were not friendly at all, one was absolutely the worst I have ever seen. We are at the beach, it is supposed to be fun. I left a lesser tip not because the food was terrible,(which it was) but because this one particular relatively young waitress on a Saturday afternoon was rude. My guests were shocked at the unfriendliness, what happened to southern hospitality.

I go to Coconuts every time that I go to North Myrtle, every chance that I get. Coconuts is awesome, and has the best drinks! The atmosphere is absolutely wonderful, the Bartenders are very friendly and talkative, with excellent service. If you want a friendly "locals" type of tiki bar with wonderful views and the chance to catch a tan while you hang out and drink, Coconuts is the place to be!

The atmosphere is superb for your vacation getaway. I have a sharetime at the Maritime Beach Club and have been enjoying Coconuts since before it was popular. It is so laid back and relaxing. The frozen drinks are awesome on a hot day. Just steps from the beach. The bartenders make you feel like you're at home... just like them. There is always some Jimmy Buffet or other music of the like playing in the background to set the tone! I absolutely love it there and I can't wait for my next trip back there in JULY!!!

I have been going there for three years in the afternoons after a long day on the beach. It is fantastic and a great place to enjoy a a cold beer and a chilled shot of tequlia. Don't miss this place if you truely enjoy the "Southern" approach to life.

Coconuts is a really cool place to eat. It's an outdoor tiki bar on the oceanfront which is a nice relaxing place to hang out. The food is awesome. They have the neatest option for appetizers. They are not your average ones. They of course have chicken fingers and club sandwiches but they also have spicy chicken egg rollups with a sweet/sour sauce to dip as well as my favorite. The grouper fingers with a yellow horsie sauce. Yummo!.

Tourist Trap, Local Scam. Advertised free tshirt with $25 purchase for weeks & weeks. We decided to try them for lunch. Prices high, but what the heck, beach bar on the ocean. Food was mediocre at best. Asked for my free tshirt when paying the tab, bartender pretended not to know anything about the free offer. After showing her the ad, she disappeared for a while, came back with a soiled tshirt from some vendor, not a Coconuts shirt. We don't have a t-shirt she said. Like I said, Tourist Trap, Local Scam.
