We were invited to have dinner at Umi's Pacific, we will return each time we visit Myrtle Beach and have told our friends also. The food was wonderful, the staff and Chef Brad could not have been more kind. This is a place everyone will enjoy. Please be sure to try the deserts.

This is a must for anyone who wants a fine dining experience in Myrtle Beach. We were a party of eight who arrived on Sunday night. We had a varied menu. We all enjoyed each item we had. The waiter was superb. He knew his menu and made suggestions without trying to have us buy the most expensive item on the menu. If you want to be treated special go to The Pacific Grill.

My husband and I went there for our anniversary! It is very trendy and modern! The food was good, but nothing really to write home about! I will go again!

We tried this place on a whim-what a beautiful rest. Food is different--definitely for the adventurous. Eventhe dessert was great. A little priceybut the freshest most inovative food to be had on the beach. I had never had butterfish before and was told it was awful--not here. What a great chefs this place has.

This is a solid pan-Asian restaurant and we will definitely go back. Service was outstanding - we were seated promptly (had reservations), and our server was prompt, knowledgeable, and attentive without being intrusive. The food was generally quite good, though perhaps not quite on par with a comparably-priced similar restaurant in a major city. We had the lobster wontons as a starter, and they were outstanding, perfectly cooked and paired with a trio of exquisite sauces. Main courses were the pineapple shrimp and the ginger-lime crusted tuna. The former was well-prepared and well portioned, a very mainstream dish which my wife quite enjoyed. The tuna dish was a bit of a disappointment. The tuna itself, a good-sized portion, was nicely cooked (medium rare), but lacking in flavor. There was no "crust" on the fish, simply a seasoning rub. The sides were, however, spectacular. A spicy bean sort of cassoulet was the starch, and an excellent array of picked vegetables accompanied. The sides far outshone the tuna, and as this is one of the more expensive entrees, that was a little disappointing. Dessert was a sampler trio consisting of creme brulee, green tea cheesecake, and a chocolate spring roll with green tea ice cream. The brulee was perfectly prepared, and as this is my favorite dessert, I was most pleased. I didn't get to try the spring roll, though my wife loved it, and the ice cream was quite nice. Unlike a previous review, we enjoyed the green tea cheesecake. It had a nice flavor of green tea without being overpowering. The wine list is pretty extensive, ordered logically, and reasonably priced. We had a very nice viognier for about $32 that complemented our meals well.

Umi was Highly recommended by the concierge at Dye Villas where we own a Villa. During our stay this week we dined twice, both times our service was Excellent and the food was beyond expectation! The crab cake appetizer, the butterfish and the scallops were exceptional!! The best we've had in years. Then came the deserts which were delectable! Try the chocolate cake with ice cream and macadamia cookie drizzled with Kahlua chocolate sauce or the Creme Bruelee..... The atmosphere is unique and creative....very cosmopolitan....very Manhattan or South Beach.....different and better than anywhere else in the beach area. Find time to dine here. You will return.

My husband and i had our first wedding anniversary on June 3rd, and decided to go to pacific grill after seeing a commercial on TV. We are a younger couple with very little money : ( We were seated immediately after walking in the door. The service was excellent, and the food was even better, the lighting was perfect. It was a little pricey for us, but more than well worth it overall. I would definately reccommend anyone to go there, and we'll be going back ourselves..... maybe out next anniversary : )

The atmosphere of the restaurant was great however, the amount of food served was extremely overpriced. You definitely pay for the ambience and not the quantity of food. The restaurant was out of the daily special when the early seating started. In my opinion it should have been removed from the entree list.

We recently visited Myrtle Beach with our granddaughters and stumbled upon this place. We almost turned around and left as we entered thinking it would be too adult and too expensive for them. We were pleasantly surpised. Great food and staff, and the kids were treated very well. I would definitely go again. This was the best restaurant of our entire trip.

We ate their with a party of nine. The food in general was excellent. Between all of us, we had the duck entree, the pinapple shrimp, the sesame scallops, and the butter fish; all were very good. The desserts also got good reviews, with the exception of the green tea cheesecake which wasn't a big hit. The decor was interesting; the music was not intrusive (as I'd read in another review). The service was exemplary as well, we're all looking foward to going back at a later time.

Three of our party were (well behaved) children under ten; they really enjoyed their choices from the children's menu; and especially enjoyed the presentation (bento boxes).

Heartily recommended.
