Went for dinner on a Saturday Evening. Five Guys does burgers better. The hamburger at Hamburger Joes tastes like the ketchup is mixed in with the meat. The beer battered onion rings are nothing more than frozen food. Sorry, Hamburger Joes, not very appetizing.

We tried Hamburger Joes for the first time in summer of 2006 and were in fact a bit disappointed. The entire experience was just "okay". Nothing outstanding, just average.

The burgers were good...not great. The fries were okay. Service was good. Tea was good. But nothing that made us say "we have to come here again".

For burgers, we've found that Five Guys are just about the best we have ever tried in Myrtle Beach. I'm not saying that you shouldn't go to Hamburger Joes...but for the money/value/taste, Five Guys beats it hands down.

If your main objective is to drink beer this might be an okay restaurant, but if you want good food go elsewhere. We had burgers, fries, and onion rings. The hamburgers were little flat frozen patties, not even as good as the kind we get at the local little league baseball park at home. They were served on a little tiny paper plate. The servings of fries and onion rings were okay but not that big. It was lunch and we were seated immediately because the place was almost empty but the servers still ignored us most of the time. If you want a good hamburger in a fun atmostphere I would recommend Cheeseburger in Paradise - much, much, better restaurant.

You gotta try the fried bologna sandwich. They will put anything on it you want. Thick fried bologna with all the toppings. Brings me back to MB each year. You can have the sun and sand... I'm here for the fried bologna at Joe's!

Hamburger Joe's was the nicest surprise of my trip down last week. The food (cheeseburger) was excellent, the sweet tea outstanding and the onion rings were out of this world. I look forward to coming back on my next trip and sampling the beer selection. Top notch my friends.
