The food is good. Great service. It is somewhere you should go if you don't want to clean up after a long day at the beach.

How can you not love Duffy Street? Our kids love the place. Everyone is always so good to us, and a vacation wouldn't be complete without Fried Pickles, PigSkin Shrimp, and a $6.95 order of crab legs. Add a cold beer, some good beach music, and throw some peanuts on the floor... OUR idea of a great evening. LOVE Duffy Street.

For being called a "shack" this place sure is pricey! I expected it to have average priced meals but it's one of the most expensive places I've been to. The food is not worth it either.

My family and I visited Duffy's on Main Street at North Myrtle Beach on Saturday 7/29/05. We saw an advertisement in a book at Peppertree Ocean Club and thought this would be a great place to eat. I do not know what happened but my family and I did not have a good experience. First, when we walked in there was know one to tell you if you could seat yourself or wait for someone to seat you. There was no friendly hello or even an adknowledgement that we walked in the door. I guess that was a sign they maybe we should have gone elsewhere, but we knew the restaurant was busy and we were hungry so we sat down to eat some peanuts and have a good time. We even got up and moved from our table (after we had ordered)that would seat 6-8, because there was only 4 of us and we wanted to let people that were waiting for a table to be seated and not have to wait. The waitress was nice and took our order and brought our drinks. This was at approximately 6:30. The restaurant was full and we knew there would be a wait, but we didn't mind (so we thought). Thirty minutes went by, no food, know one to tell us when we would get our food. We noticed some workers coming out of the kitchen, but they were not bringing food out, they were walking around or walking outside. Fourty-five mintues or so goes by, we get our waiters attention and she assures us our order is on the way, but there are 2 others before us. One hour goes by, no food, but our waitress did bring us drinks, (thank goodness). The people ahead of us got their food, but we still waited and no food. We asked our waitress again and she really didn't say much. Then we sat some more while we watched three families that came in after us, with parties bigger than ours, get there food. By this time it is 8:15. We did now want to cause a scene, so we flagged down our waitress AGAIN, and asked her about our food. This was totally rediculous. She apologized and went to the kitchen. In about a minute or two at the most, a man comes out with our food. He ask us how are we doing, I told him we were upset because we had been waiting almost 2 hours to get our food while people that came in after us were seated and recieved there food before us. He did nothing but shrug his shoulders and walk away. No apology, no coming back to the table. The food my two sons ate was okay, but my husband and I ordered a fried shrimp basket. The shrimp were battered but not fully cooked. The batter was coming off of the shrimp and they were slimmy. You could tell they were not cooked thouroughly. My husband and I were very upset that no one cared, they didn't try to correct the problem or even cared that we were there. Both my husband and I are professionals and we know how the customer is supposed to be treated. Instead of asking to speak to a manager, or getting upset any more than we were, we asked for the bill, paid almost $60.00 for food that we could not eat. This was food only, no alcoholic beverages included. My husband and I feel like we should not have had to pay for this meal. If this is how your restaurants are run, I promised you we will never by back and we will let our friends and others know about your restaurant, as we plan on visiting the area a lot in the near future. My family thought that whoever owns this restaurant should know of the service and hopefully correct it,or you might be losing a lot of customers in the near future. We were not the only customers who were dissatisfied. There were others in there who were upset also. I wish you the best, but please know that a great night out in which we were going to eat and have a family outing turned out to be a disappointment for us. Thanks, Lynwood and Elaine Dowdy Fayetteville, NC

After having been greatly disappointed at a restaurant over on Hwy 17, we were delighted with the food at Duffy's. You can bet we'll eat there again when in North Myrtle Beach. Great food, cold beer, good atmoshpere, laid back. Just perfect for the beach!

Duffy Street has the best crab legs in all of Myrtle Beach. It is a favorite place of ours and the first place we eat at when we get to Cherry Grove. This year we went twice! Our wait for a table was not too bad, 10-15 minutes and the first time there were 15 of us. We always feel most comfortable eating at Duffy's with the casual atmosphere and love the open balcony. For the price of a meal and the freshness of the seafood, Duffy's cannot be beat! Our vacation just ended but we will definitely be back next year.

Duffy's is really not a bad place, but not great either. I suspect the service may suffer from transient help, as we decided to leave after sitting around and no one asked to help or serve us. Other times, sitting at the bar, or outside, we had great service. The food is about what you'd expect: good quality, fresh, messy, and a good menu. Cold beer, good happy hour shrimp, oysters, and brews. Great place to go right off the beach and close to our hotel. You probably won't be dissapointed in Duffy's. We'll be going back.

The past weekend was the first time I've been to Duffy's throughout my many years visiting Myrtle Beach. It's a great place to grab a cold beer, some great seafood and sit back and people watch. The atmosphere is extremely laid back, the staff is friendly and the happy hour specials are outstanding. Must try the Duffy's Rum Runners and the spicy steamed shrimp. Will be back next time I visit!

We enjoyed the food and service to the extent of making this our restaurant on the beach. Going back this year and this is where we will be for lunch and dinner. Great seafood and the atmosphere is cool for adults and children. You can sit outside at the picnic tables and enjoy the sunshine or inside with the a/c on full blast and the peanuts can be thrown on the floor. Outstanding service, food and prices.
