We were up there during Black Bike Week. Wanted to get a nice meal by the ocean so we went into Damon's not really knowing anything about it. We didn't have to wait at all to be seated. We were there about 4:30pm. I had the rib eye and my boyfriend had the ribs. Everything was really good along with the service. Our server was very attentive and brought all the food out in a timely manner and nice and hot. The price for two entrees a corona and a pina colada with tip was about 45.00 dollars. Not bad at all, we really enjoyed the food and atmosphere there and will defenitely go back on our next trip to Myrtle Beach, Bon Appetit! ref: 6092 |

5/19/2007 the pork chops were not as thick and the sauce was not as good as usual. The waitress was not knowledgable of the menu. I did not get my appetizer that I ordered. When I ask about it she said she would bring some onions. They were cold but she brought them at the samr time she brought the meal. The only thing that was at all good was the sweet potato cassarole. This is the worst I have ever had there and I aalways enjoy the restaurant and sitting out side. When you pay the price to eat there and you get bad food and bad service it does not make you excited about going back. I usually visit myrtle beach 8 to 10 times a year and usually eat there, but I will think awhile before going back.. ref: 5971 |

We visited the end of April (not during many school vacations) so we had no wait. We agree with other posts the "Damon's Famous Onion Loaf" is very very greasy and not worth trying! Other than that the food was excellent! I had the shrimp and ribs combo and my husband ordered the BBQ Brisket - both were great! ref: 5612 |

I used to love this restaurant, we would eat there at least once each time we came to Myrtle Beach. The last two times we went there it was terrible and we will never eat their again. To begin with, we didn't receive any bread until we asked for it. I had a mixed drink and the ice was already melting by the time I received the lime and stir stick that should have already been with it. We got our salads and had to wait for at least five minutes after that for silverware. Our food had began to get cold before my son received the ketcup we requested. I ordered the Bristow Filet Medallions (I think this is what it was called.I checked their online menu to make sure I was correct, but to no surprise the onine menu is not what they have in the restaurant.) and received the Filet Mignon. The Filet Medallions was to come with peppercorn gravy, sauteed mushroom and onion. The Filet Mignon did not and it was $7.00 more than what I ordered. The steak was overcooked and extremely dry. We also waited 30 minutes to be seated and when we were seated there were about 10-15 tables available and people were still waiting. In other words, this is probably the worst experience I have ever had at a resaurant. ref: 5321 |

Smokers are not welcomed at this resturant! Damon' does not provide any indoor dining for smokers. Smoking is permitted in the bar but only drinks and appatizers are provided. Smoking is permitted in the outdoor dining area but if it's raining or to cold the outdoor dining area is closed. Last night the temp. was in the mid 70's but the dining area was closed do to being to cold. I guess if the temp. goes below 80 they close the outdoor dining area. We will never go back. For you non-smokers this is the resturant for you. ref: 5269 |

What a great find. Just around the block from our motel, I had no idea that this is a chain. We went for lunch and seating outside was completely open. I had a really great salad with HOT buffalo tenders. Husband enjoyed one of the specialty sandwiches. The bar area looked really nice; I wish we were going back tonight. ref: 5011 |

Never again, the food has gone downhill since last time I visited about a year ago. Greasy onoin loaf, breaded shrimp out of a box like you buy in a grocery store. Prime rib overcooked, only good thing was a nice view. ref: 3770 |

It has always been good in the past until Jul. 2006. The onion loaf was greasy & the food was cold. The food did not taste fresh. ref: 3544 |

We went early ( around 4:30 ) so we got a seat without waiting. The food was good. Grilled shrimp was a bit overcooked. The ribs were great! My wife had a steak and she said it was good also. ref: 2664 |

This restaurant is a typical chain example. No matter what Damon's you go to in US, you're going to get a good meal. But it's also the restuarant's downfall. You can go to one almost anytime. The appealing factor is that it's ocean front. We sat outside where we could watch the ocean roll its waves on the beach below us. The food was on par with what I expected and the service was average. It was just a very chain like experience with the exception of ocean front dining which is kind of rare in a beach city. ref: 1962 |

Excellent location if you can get a table on the deck which is right on the beach. Service was typical of this type of eatery but I though the food was better prepared than any of the local Damon's I had visited. Just remember, if you are outside, you need to paper weight your napkins and such. ref: 1945 |

Our waitress (forgive me for not getting her name) made this an excellent review. Knew the menu with options, and sides up, down, backwards, and sideways.
Very attentive to every need and question, but not in the way. Her section was full, where others weren't and she didn't miss a beat with anyone. Food and service were great. This Damon's is beachfront which makes for a great atmosphere. Dine inside or out on the deck. Went twice this trip. ref: 1350 |
