the white sangria, at $7.50 a glass, tasted like colored water. they took it back, provided a glass of white zinfandel but did not remove the $7.50 from the check.the shrimp pasta alfredo was terrible. the pasta was like eating paste and there was no alfredo sauce at all, extremely dry. the rib over mashed potato dish was also bad. it was a boneless chunk of mystery meat on top of a mound of mashed potatoes that tasted like stew meat. the best part of the meal was the bottle of bud light! total bill was about $50.00 and absolutely not worth $5.00. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AT THIS RESTAURANT..BETTER SPENT AT A FAST FOOD DRIVE THROUGH!

The first few times we at at Bovines we were happy with both food and service. As visitors to the area we expect the same every time we come. We last visited Bovines right after New Years which is a slower time of year for most area restaurants. The night we arrived the restaurant was maybe a quarter full, lots of empty tables. We were surprised at the slow service but always love the hush puppies so dug in when they were served. We waited a long time for our orders to be taken, we waited a long time to be served, the food was mediocre and we felt we were charged too much for the quality of the food and service. I ordered a filet mignon, i've had better at other nearby restaurants. On a night when other parking lots were more full, one would think that this restaurant would be jumping to serve the few customers it had instead of acting like they were doing us a favor by waiting on us.

I had ordered a NY steak with a baked potato. The server was very gracious and polite. I was having trouble cutting the steak and thought it was just a piece of grizzel and the server ask if I wanted to change it. I declined but later realized that most of the steak was the same. A good cook should have seen this and not have cooked this piece of meat. I will not return or recommend this place to anybody,

We have loved our dinner there every time we visit. If you love nothing else, you will love their corn pudding (and it is served with every entree). The first time we dined there, on leaving, the hostess asked if we enjoyed our dinner and I said, "The only way it could have been any better would be that you provided me with the recipe for the corn pudding." And, by golly, she gave it to me!!!

We were seated promptly, but that was the only good thing. Waiter was rude and kept rolling his eyes. It took forever for us to get our food and the coffee tasted like it had pepper in it. When we asked for the manager the girl seating people said I don't see her and walked off. It was two trips in one: the first and the last. For the price of the food the service should have been much better.

My family visited Bovine's in October of 2011 on a Thursday night. We ordered a pizza as an appetizer. It was very good and we would go there again just for the pizza - the size of a dinner plate. It had fresh ingredients and a thin and crispy crust which made it delicious. We all ordered the angus burger (well done) which came with wedge fries.None of us we're pleased with the burger although the fries were really good. The burger was too crusty on both sides, I suppose due to the wood fired grilling which also made the burgers have an overwhelming taste of being burnt and dry (maybe because we requested a well done burger). I've ate a better burger at Five Guys and a Burger and/or elsewhere. We'd go back for the pizza and the atmosphere.

We live in Murrells Inlet. We took an out of town friend to Bovines tonight for dinner expecting good quality food. Sorry to say that only 2 of 7 dinners were OK. We had a chicken dinner that was tasteless. A pizza that was so oily it could have floated away. 2 pork chop dinners that were small and dry and a steak that was sent back twice and still not right. We didn't complain about everything as we were with an out of town person and didn't want to make it uncomfortable. This is not the Bovines that we normally know so maybe on Monday nights it is a different chef???? We want a refund or an inviation to dine again on a different night.... Sorry Bovines you were not up to par tonight...So.... disappointing.

Last night we took out of town guests for "happy hour". The first thing was the waiter did not no much about happy hour. Since we, locals, have been there before we knew more than the waiter. Two glass of wine were order along with drinks and snacks. The the drinks finally arrived one glass of wine was spilled on my self and my husband. Wine was never cleaned up off the table or the floor. We cleaned the table ourselves and finally asked someone to clean the floor. A new class of wine arrived along with snacks. We had to as for the bill, 20 minutes later never arrived, when it did arrive 20 minutes later waiter never returned to pick it up. Again we had to ask someone to pick up the checks and than had to ask for them to be returned along with the credit card. Seems like no one know what happened to the bill and credit cards. After another long wait the original waiter can back with the check and credit cards charging us for the wine he had spilled. I think this was the first time we didn't leave tip in all the years of going out to dinner. Will not recommend this restaurant again and will not return ourselves.

We have been coming to Myrtle Beach for our annual vacation for over 10 years. One of our "must do's" every year has been a trip to Bovine's. Initially, the restaurant was superb! Over the past few years, there seems to have been a decline in food quality and service. We did not appreciate the change to a "salad bar" which is basically just having the customer fix their own salad instead of having it prepared and served. Food went from excellent to average. We are with a previous poster that did not care for the interior decor changes...maybe because with those changes came the less than quality food and service. It appears Bovine's has fallen into the "do less to and make more" mentality that so many businesses have succumbed to, which definitely impacted their product in a negative manner. Sorry, Bovine's we are not likely to return.

I go down with a golf group every year and on our package we got coupons for $20 meal and we looked for places and didn't want to use it for River City for burgers eventhough we love that place too, so we picked this place. Very nice find, food was great, salad bar was an added bonus, waitress was very patient with friends with us who were looking for top shelf drinks (to impress us dont know why). I used to love the place located same area Anchor Inn but is long gone, so this is nice find in the same area.We will be back to this place again, like T-bonz as well but this place is a welcome bonus to trip.

Ate at Bovine's tonight as we have almost every year for the past 6 years. The restaurant is definitely in a decline. Dinners range from 18.00 to 32.00 and come with a salad, potato or veggie, and corn pudding. Unfortunately, the salad is one you must retrieve yourself from a salad bar. The salad bar is sparse and the labels on the dressings have long faded. While the view is awesome, the food is mediocre at best. I also don't want to wait in line at a salad bar when I've paid 22.00 for an entree. The rolls are horrible.

My family went to Bovines to celebrate my sons high school graduation. We were seated promptly at our reservation time. The salad bar was minimal (Ruby Tuesday is better!) and the line to access the salad bar was at least 20 people long and crossed the path of the kitchen! Poor design to say the least. Our meal took a very long time...at least 40 minutes and when it arrived the baked potatoes were cold and the lobster topping was missing from the steak ordered by my son. By the time the topping was brought out the steak was cold! Also, new baked potatoes were brought out but the new replacements were missing the bacon crumbles and cheese that were ordered originally. All in all, my first and LAST visit to Bovines!!!
