We visited at 1.00 p.m. A little after the usual lunch hour. The food was OKay, but the biryani and the chicken curries appeared to be 'reheats'. The naan was a little cold. The service was so-so, ..... Could have been better. But this is the only indian diner in town, so we did not have much of a choice. We've been to many indian restaurants which are better than his one. This restaurant needs to improve to get repeat business.

Check the pricing twice, there is no pricing information available till you're done eating. We saw the prices to be $8.95 for Adult buffet, and went there. ( We didn't check the prices at the counter prior to starting the buffet, which was our fault). When we were done eating and ready to pay, we received a bill for $13.95 for an Adult buffet and $8.95 for a child buffet (we were five adults and a kid). Very disappointed by the price gouging.

We went for my birthday at my request (I'm the Indian food addict of the family). It was Labor Day, and so I can understand that there was an added fee for a holiday. However, it was rude of them to wait until we had already been let into the restaurant (after an hour of waiting in the parking lot for them to open because they didn't open on time), and were halfway through eating before they put up a sign saying that each meal for the curry buffet would be an added four dollars. Especially after a group of gentlemen and a family had already eaten and left, after paying the normal price. When we enquired if we were to be allowed the same courtesy, as we had arrived at the same time and had simply taken a few minutes longer, we were infomed that we would not. The food was excellent, and I would not have truly minded paying the extra money; if we had been informed that would have to in the first place and if it had been applied to all patrons.

I had been to this place on last Sat. Am the one who usually does not write a review but this one forced me to. The Sat weekend buffet had most of the items over. I wonder why Indian restaurantsa have this tendency wherein u have to scrape utensils whenever on a buffet lunch. The samosas and butter chicken was over and so was the dessert - kheer. Frustratingly the waiters stood next to us waiting for the 3 of us to finish; with 15 mins of the restaurant to close for lunch, they packed everything up. It felt as I was getting free food and had to gulp it down in the next 2 mins as they watched us every second looking at their watches. My daughter (5 yrs old) only had lil rice as she was not well, and they charged full price to her too. Very bad experience - I totally do not recomment this place at all. Pls avoid this one.

I went on Labor Day this year. I love Indian food, and this place does have delicious food. My problem, however, was that we had to wait thirty minutes after when they were supposed to be open for them to even unlock the door, and then an additional 45 minutes for half of the food on the lunch buffet to be put out. The thing that makes me mad is that AS my family and I were eating, they put a sign up, increasing the price of the buffet by five dollars, after another group had already left, paying the regular price. I consider it to be a dishonest business trick to raise the price as your customers have already eaten.

I live in Pawleys Island and have eaten at Bombay at the Beach numerous times and loved it. I recently was in Atlanta and tried an Indian restaurant there, assuming that it would be great, because it was in a great location and pricey. I couldn't have been more wrong! Bombay at the Beach is by FAR one of the best Indian restaurants I have had the opportunity to enjoy. The food is fresh and delicious, the service is super, and the price point is very reasonable for the portion size you receive. Overall I rate this restaurant 5 stars out of 5. I don't know what some of these negative reviews are talking about- if you want to enjoy a fabulous Indian lunch/dinner, this is the place to go.

Being an Indian woman, I know what to expect. Great service. Awesome food. We ordered 2 sizzlers and 3 other main courses. Food was very tasty, not too oily and presented well. Garlic naan was the beast Ive ever had. Can't wait to eat here again.

Food is great, especially the Chicken Tandoori which they call chicken chops.Mattar Paneer and Kher was good too. Went on a lousy Saturday evening, and cost is also reasonable, about $9.95 per plate without taxes. But be careful of the Gratuity if going in a group of 5 or more, it is going to shell out extra 18% on your bill if all of you sit in a single table!!!

We ordered ginger chicken sizzler, which was best. The chicken is soft and with very little oil. The food is priced at a decent price. The staff were very courteous. There were lot of people ( may be because of July 4th). But, recommend to call and reserve table. Overall, good experience.
