Absolutely Fantastic Our server Sam was phenomenal. The bruschetta was delicious. Dinner comes with Soup & Salad & extremely tasty. I had the Lobster Ravioli which also has shrimp & crab meat with a vodka sauce. Everyone in our party loved their dinner. We even had desert & cappuccino. This is a must visit. We went to this place after doing takeout there & being impressed. I will be going back frequently.

Simply one of the best Restaurants I've ever had the pleasure to dine at. Service was superb, and there is only one word to describe my meal, i.e. AMBROSIA. I had the Chicken Ripieno: Twin Chicken breast stuffed with ham and cheese. Flamed in White Wine: Simply wonderful. The marinara sauce is bold and tantalizing. My friend had the Veal Porterhouse and said it was excellent. Roger Mills Gulfport, MS

The service is amazing and truth, I have not had a Italian food like this since my Great Granmama, and Granmama. or my Mom for that matter. If you want the best Italian eat here!!

First you need reservations, you can't just walk in and be seated, they are always crowded. Being Italian I'm picky as hell about this type of cuisine but this is easily the best I've ever had out anywhere. The pasta is light and home made, the service is outstanding. The Linguine with red clam sauce is the best anywhere, even compared to Little Italy in Ny. It's crowded, a little noisy, kid friendly and family orientated which accounts for the noise. This isn't a romantic date night place IMO, just the best Italian food you can find. Parking can be a hassle, but that's would be the only negative here..

I have eaten at this restaurant several years ago and it went totally downhill. The food was terrible, the "specials" were the most expensive (make sure you ask prices if you're interested in ordering). The restaurant definitely needs updating too. The service was horrendous. Although it was not his fault, our waiter was pretty much covering most of the restaurant and could not keep up with the demand. Food was not served on a timely manner either. The only time "management" came to see if everything was okay when was he came to collect credit cards to pay for this horrible meal! I did try to complain, but only got "we must be doing something right, we've been in business for 28 years". Thank you very much...you're serving to 99% of unsuspecting tourists that do not know any better...and it's the only so called "Italian" restaurant in the area. I do not recommend this place at all!

I read so many great reviews that I decided to stop there with my fiance one day after shopping. We had no reservations and were sat right away. Our waiter was efficient and friendly. I couldnt eat the soup but was offered no alternative. The salad was not impressive at all. The bread was ok. I had ordered fettucini alfredo and really really expected to be blown away, but I was not. It tasted like regular old pasta topped with alfredo sauce straight from a Ragu jar. And you know if the sauce is bad, the rest of the meal is ruined. It was just bland and tastless and thick. I will not return, it just wasn't what I thought it would be. Olive Garden would have been a better choice.

We have a group of 12 guys who have gone to Mytle Beach for many years on a golf week. All are accomplished travelers who have partaken of restaurants all over the world. Every year we make it a point to eat at Villa Romana because each and everyone of us love it. Noone in our group has every complained about any entree. Everyone going to MB should eat here at least once. I promise you will be back! Just do not go there the last week of April this year. We do not want to have you taking our Table. Michael how is the family and your golf game?

My husband and I chose this restaurant for our anniversary dinner based on past reviews. We were seated almost right away despite the restaurant being packed and overflowing. Everything went down hill after that. Initially, our waiter came to our table and brought our drinks, appetizers, etc.. However, that came almost to a virtual stand still. Obviously, the restaurant was over-seated and the staff could not keep up with the demands. At least our server could not because the table behind had servers constantly checking on them as well as the hostess who came no less than 5 times to check on them to make sure they are getting they needed. My husband and I finally had to grab another server to ask for additional drinks. The food was the poorest quality of food I have ever consumed. We were actually in the restaurant for over 1 1/2 hours before we got our main course...all in all we were in their over 2 hours. This was not a leisurely and pleasant dining experience. We had to ask someone to get our check but nobody ever came back so we finally had to go to the front desk to ask for our check. About the only thing I could say is that the server said to give us a $15.00 credit off our meal. Personally, based on the lack of professionalism of the entire wait staff as well as the poor quality of supposedly professionally prepared food, they should have paid us to even be in their restaurant. I cannot understand for the life of me why the locals voted this restaurant number 1 for 5 years in a row. Has the salt air penetrated their brains? I definitely will not waste my time or money to ever go back into that establishment. If I am going to pay over $100.00 for a meal...I expect the experience to match the monetary pay-out.

We decided to come here for dinner for our Anniversary. What a great choice! The food was fabulous! I was deciding between two entrees and our waiter, Eric, helped me to decide and I was very pleased with my choice, Shrimp Parmigiana. My husband had a chicken dish that he said was wonderful! Our meal started with a delicious soup, followed by salad and our entree. The portions were huge! We ended up getting our leftovers to go! The atmosphere was great and our waiter made us feel special. We really enjoyed the accordion player! Thank you so much for a great meal and enjoyable evening celebrating our Anniversary!

We got a carry out for two this rainy week. The food was great but we were not given everything listed on their online/website menu. I QUOTE FROM THE WEBSITE: "A note from our Restaurant" All of our dinners will include: Homemade Stracciatella soup, Tomato Bruschetta, Dipping sauce, Fresh garden salad and homemade rolls. We received the salad and rolls but no soup, no bruschetta & no dipping sauce were provided. These were not "choices" available and not limited to "eat in" according to the website. Also, we paid cash for our bill of $35.46. The manager took our $40 cash payment to the kitchen area, came back and gave us back $4 in change. The restaurant was busy so I didn't make a fuse over the 54 cents we were shorted. It left a bad impression to "short change" a customer especially when we discovered our order was not complete as advertised.

We just happened upon this restaurant when everyone decided on Italian. What a treat! My son lives in Myrtle and is a golf pro in NC. We had the absolute best time ever. It is not often that we get to see him and Mike(the accordian player) made our visit so memorable. I have told everyone about this wonderful jewel of a restaurant. We have been coming to MB for 41 years...how did we miss this charming, delightful experience? I am sending my son back for his birthday in September and hopefully upon Mike's advice he will make it an engagement party!

Villa Romana is by far the best Italian restaurant in the Myrtle Beach area. Coming from the Boston area we know our Italian food restaurants and Villa Romana holds its own with the best of them. The atmosphere held an inviting feeling and was extraordinarily cozy. Throughout the meal we were serenaded with gorgeous acordian music. The food was miles above par and it seen that the chefs put time and effort into each and every dish (veal caesar in particular). Beyond the food, the service was outstanding. In particular, the chef and owner, Rinaldo, made frequent visits to check on his customers. He was very nice and proceeded to teach me some simple Italian phrases. Our waitress Camille showed interest in her tables. She was very outgoing and made good conversation quite enjoyable. Being in the resaurant business myself I know the value of good service and I will certainly be back because of her. The final verdict: molto buono! (very good!)

We went in to this restaurant with low expectations as we had never heard of it and had not had any discussions with anyone about it. The exterior will not entice you, but if you let that fool you, you will miss out on what the inside has in store!! The food presentation is "old school" and second to none. My young teenage son and daughter were blown away by the kindness of the waitor and the fact that the waitor treated him like "a prince". The food rolled out wave at a time with each outdoing the former. First the Bruschetta, then the soup, then the hottest home made rolls and fresh made marinara sauce, then the salad and finally the entree's. My family had the Pork shoulder and rice (fancier italian name), the stuffed flounder, the rack of lamb and a couple other entrees that were equally dynamite. All I can say is that my family (especially my kids) and my older generation parents and my wife in I in our late 30's all agreed that we had just had the best meal of our lives!! The owner, Rinaldo Montrosse, visited the table several times to ensure our meals were delivered to his satisfaction. After he playfully engaged my family, I watched as the staff moved out of his way. I could tell that if things weren't brought to the table to his satisfaction and served with his intentions then heads would roll behind the kitchen doors. Spent a shade over $100 dollars for a family of 4. My dollars are hard earned dollars, and this meal was worth what we payed and more.

I love how people "from Italian families" didn't find Villa Romana up to their expectations. Ever see a real Italian eating in an Italian restaurant? How about a chinese person eating at a Chinese restaurant? A Mexican at a Mexican restaurant? No? Me either. If you can cook it yourself, you don't go there. I can make steak way better than any steak restaurant ever could so I don't go to them. Villa Romana is a very good Italian restaurant. It's real ingredients made from scratch daily. The prices are very reasonable. You WON'T be disappointed.

12 years ago, cruising for a place to eat, we spotted a long line in front of this restaurant and thinking for that reason it must be good, we ended up with a party of 15 German golfers! That was the line! And we haven't looked back since. The food, service and Mike are the best. We just miss "mama" and her little dances. Heading there in 2 days and I am salivating just thinking about a meal there.

We love this restaurant above all other Italian restaurants in the area. Our last visit was on an extremely busy night and we had a bit of a wait, however, tomato bruschetta was served to us, and others, who were waiting in the lobby. Since it was a packed evening, the chatter of all the diners kept it slightly noisy. With bruschetta, soup, salad, rolls and dinner, dessert was not going to make it to our taste buds this evening. Our meal of Veal Parmigianna Al Pomodoro was well priced and out of this world delicious and we can't wait to go back again. The accordionist, Michael, kept us entertained. DON'T MISS THIS RESTAURANT!!!!

Our waitress Camille was excellent personable and attentive . The meal was so good we returned 2 nights later and were just as pleased. Overall I give Villa Romana a 4 out 5 stars. I had the stuffed flounder with white wine sauce that was delicious. My wife enjoyed the parm chicken and the portion size had her asking the waiter Eric for a doggy bag. Eric provided excellent service drinks were never low, food was hot, and atmosphere was laid back. I would recommend this place to anyone to take the guess work out choosen a place for dinner.

Ville Romana has wonderful Italian food served in a great atmosphere. All meals are served with bruschetta, soup, and a salad. Be sure to save room for the main course as this is some of the best Italian anywhere - all of the food is completely made from scratch. Wait staff is attentive but not overbearing and Michael, the accordian player, is truly entertaining. Renaldo and Franca are gracious hosts. If you are a foodie, you MUST eat here when you visit Myrtle Beach. You will not be disappointed!

Just came back from Myrtle Beach this week and I had to look up this restaurant and write a review, something I have never done before. But this restaurant deserves every star you could give it! We found it purely by chance, we were driving by looking for restaurants that were busy ( when you are form out of town this is usually a indication that the place is good ) The place was packed, but luckily there was a table for two and we were seated immediately. I loved listening to live musician and the food came instantly, I can not say enough about how awesome the food was or how pleasant the staff. I only wish I lived closer so we could come more often. I would come to Myrtle Beach just for this restaurant! You will not be disappointed!!!

Wonderful dining experience. We keep going back. Real Italian meal with wonderful Italian hospitality. Combination veil, chicken and shrimp parm is out of this world. With the soup, salad and wonderful rolls we were stuffed. Wish we had had room for desert. Always make it our last dinner out before returning home from our vacation (Anniversary and valentine) celebration. No better way to celebrate. Owners greet us and remember us from year to year. Can't go wrong.

The Villa Romana has got it all together,,atmosphere, entertainment and quality of food, flavor and top value for your dining dollar. It is not very often that you find authentic food at this level in a beach town! We were seated right on time, entertained by Michael, and given complimentary appetizers prior to even opening our menus! The food was outstanding and served by very informative wait staff..if we had a question they had an answer with a smile...The absolute best Italian food anywhere in Myrtle Beach and for miles around!!

Food was excellent, and served hot. Service was excellent, server very attentive. We chose the restaurant from other reviews and were NOT disappointed. The bonus was the accordian player who serenaded the guest and added to the atmosphere. We will return to the Villa Romana when we come back to Myrtle Beach Out of a rating of 10 we would gie it a 9.6!

We were down there recently for a half marathon. Called for reservations, told they didn't have room until a later time. They called me back within 5 minutes with room. And, the rest is hard to remember. The food was SO good, I can't remember eating it. It took us to a level of heaven that can't be described. From start to finish, the soup, salad, bread & main course was by far the best Italian food I have ever eaten. If you visit Myrtle Beach, you MUST MUST eat here. The service was excellent & the pricing & portion was outstanding. Excellent doesn't begin to describe this place.

My husband and I have been coming to The Villa Romana for many years. Each and everytime we have had an excellent meal and friendly experience. The food is always excellent and served with excellence. We had ravioli and Veal Parmigana which was tasty and delicious. We feel the chef does an excellent job preparing the meals. We always bring our family and friends here for an enjoyable and delicious meal. Fran and staff are friendly and Mike does a good job entertaining the patrons with his variety of music on his accordian. Great Job Everyone!!!!!!!!!!!

Dining out at the Villa Romana is like a family gathering place. The wonderful variety of appetizers(stuffed zucchinis) the entrees like shrimp de oro or veal absolut that always taste the same great taste as the last time you had them on a previous visit, the rolls, oh, and the list goes on. The wait staff is always attentive and helpful. Rinaldo and Fran are the best and make you feel just like family. This is truly our favorite place to go in Myrtle Beach. We can count on a great meal and great time. Thank you Villa Romano

My husband and I found VIlla Romana 11 years ago after watching the total series of the Sopranos on a long holiday weekend. We searched for a restaurant serving spaghetti all over the Grand Strand. We were lucky enough to find Villa Romana open. We make our weekly trip to Villa to experience the best of Italian food on the Strand. The hostesses/host are ever welcoming with a hug, and the wait staff are impeccable meeting all of our needs and expectations. The owners, Fran and Rinaldo are part of our family now and the manager, John, is wonderful in making you feel like you are home. The entertainment, Michael, on the accordian, has been playing since he was age 8 and can play any song your little heart desires. I can only thank the Sopranos for making us hungry for Italian food 11 years ago!

This restaurant is the highlight of my Myrtle Beach vacation experience! We found it on trip adviser and now come here every year. From the brushetta, soup, salad, bread, to the entre and dessert, all are most excellent! My husband calls me picky-I say I just know what I want- but I make up my own meal, and the chef prepares it just as I ask: angel hair with olive oil and pesto, garlic, tomatoes, and fresh mozerella- delicious! The service is fantastic-very attentive. The music (accordian) is great; this very talented and funny guys plays Phantom of the Opera complete with mask! The atmosphere is authentic- I've been to Italy three times. The only drawback is the wait (even with reservation) but I guess this just speaks to the excellence that folks are willing to wait for!

After being very dissapointed when we got to our hotel room(definitely not what was advertised), we went out looking for a good place to eat. We stumbled upon Villa Romana and were very pleasantly suprised by the atmosphere and smell when we stepped into the restaurant. We were seated right away. Our only complaint was with our waiter. I think he was new. The food was excellent, if not a little pricey. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to all.

On our one week holiday to myrtle beach we ate at Villa Romana twice. That's because we did not go there till half of our holiday was over. This could be one of the best Italian restaurants or even one of the best restaurants I have ever been in. The Pork Ossobuco, ask for it with one of there many home made pastas, was to die for, outstanding!! Same with there Combo Parmigiana. Great and friendly staff who know everything about their menu and wine list. Michael Del Gardo and his accordion was a great surprise and Michael is a very entertaining and great guy to talk with. But don't ask for Sex Pistols songs he's not big on that but he does a great version of "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" by Pink Floyd. If visiting myrtle beach any time soon and love Italian food, Villa Romana is a must!!!!! Thanks To The Whole Staff of Villa Romana. Will be back asap!!!

Upon the recommendation of a friend , eight of us sought out this Italian family owned and operated restaurant near the center of Myrtle Beach… and were not disappointed. We were greeted and seated by a friendly and polite host. Our waiter, Robert, was knowledgeable and his delivery of the food was perfect (don’t you just hate it when your main course is served before you have even taken a bite out of your salad! Not the case here). Robert was attentive but not overbearing to our dinning needs… and the food, oh yes the food, was excellent. My wife enjoyed the Veal Absoute and I had the Veal Marsala with, of course fresh mushrooms. Both were perfect with pasta on the side. As we completed our dinner Super Mario, Yes the 5’3, 380lb former USWA wrestler, stopped by our table to make sure we enjoyed our meal and treated us to a little Italian humor and storytelling. This is truly a restaurant you will want to make a regular on your visit to Myrtle Beach.

This is the authentic Italian restaurant experience all the other "Italian" restaurants are trying to achieve. This is the real deal. What a friendly, warm atmosphere! They have the ambience for a romantic evening without the stuffiness you get in some places. The food is absolutely delicious! I'm not Italian, but I know good food, and they have it. Whether you order lamb, veal, pasta, risotto...it's all beautiful and fantastic! You won't be sorry you tried it, and you WILL be back. :)

After trying many Itanian restaurants in the Myrtle Beach Area, we happend upon the Villa Rromana on Kings Highway between 7-8 Ave south. The food is really really good and the service matches the food. This is a family owned resturant which the locals support. My wife does't really like Italian food, BUT wehn we visit Myrtle Beach, we must eat here at least twice. They also feature an accordian player, who goes from table to table entertaining the guests - he is friendly and funny. A GREAT PLACE FOR ANYONE. Famiilies, adults, golfers, anyone

This is hands down our family's favorite resturant. We come down to Myrtle Beach every year for a week and manage to eat here at least 3xs while we are down here. The service is great, food is excelent, atmoshpere is really nice, and don't get me started on the halarious and talented accordian player who walks around to your table and plays requests. The place is a little expensive, but you're getting your mony's worth. They give you bruschetta, salad, soup, bread with awesome marinara sause, then your meal. We come out really stuffed, and bring home some food for awesome leftovers. Don't leave Myrtle Beach with out trying this!

My wife and I have been to Villa Romana five times and each time the experience has been better than the previous. We have brought seven different people to the restaurant and all seven have stated that they will be back. Some of the seven are hard core Italians of which I am one and we all say that the food, the service, the music, and the owners are the best. My wife went to a womens luncheon with at least twenty women and not one women complained about anything. If you want real Italian food made by real Italian speaking great people then Villa Romano is the place to go. Maybe I will see you there. Don't forget to ask for the homemade Lemoncello !

Spent New Year's Eve Eve after looking for "nice" place to dine. Made reservations (as recommended), seated immediately. Quality service if a bit slow by some standards. Note: Don't go here if you are in a hurry; hurry is why they make drive-throughs. Otherwise, attentive, respectful service. Food selection, quality, temperature and preparation was appropriately "nice" for the evening we were expecting. No rush, allowed to enjoy courses. Salad, maybe a bit sparse, yet fresh and chilled. Very good sauces with large portions. Rolls (rather than loaves) were a pleasant and enjoyed surprise. Ambiance and skill of the accordion player was great if a bit loud but only if seated near the door. Will definitely return for a leisurely, "high" dinner after disappointment with some other places in town. EXCELLENT value. The number of "Italians" eating in an Italian restaurant was impressive.

We lived in Myrtle Beach from '82-'86 when my husband was in the USAF. We always made Villa Romana our place to go for our February anniversary and when visitors came to see us. We made trips back to MB after moving to N.C. and never forgot the experience of eating such a delicious meal at VR. My brother in law and his wife had been there once and when they came down for New Year Eve's celebration, we made it a point again to enjoy the celebration of such good food. We were about to leave and requested the accordion player do his "Sweet Caroline" rendition as we had always requested on our anniversary. He so willingly did so and afterwards, we had a nice chat with him. Our waitress, Camellia, was a dear and so accommodating to our wishes. We look forward to going again soon!

As the owner of Villa Romana, I feel the need to respond to the review below about us being a health hazard. While I certainly do my best to prepare quality food, I know that not everyone appreciates my cooking. I also try to ensure that the service every customer receives, regardless of whether they are a party of 1 or a party of 20, is the same and high quality. However, when content appears here and elsewhere that is inaccurate, I feel I need to respond. I can assure anyone coming to my establishment that we do not re-use any of the dinner rolls (or any other products for that matter) that have been transported to our patrons' tables. Anything that has left the kitchen is thrown away once it returns to the kitchen. We do, however, dry out and use any rolls that are left over at the end of the night. But, those rolls NEVER leave the kitchen. It is our way of ensuring quality and eco-consciousness. These dried out rolls are then ground up and used as breading for our dishes that require breadcrumbs. If anyone has doubts about this, I invite you into my kitchen at any time. The door is always open.

I have been here before and server & food was very good. This time the server was not very helpful and gave me an attitude every time I asked a question. But the final straw was their rolls. When the busboy came to start cleaning the table I noticed there were a few rolls left in the basket and since we had leftovers to bring home I suggested we take the rolls since they would have to be thrown away. At that point we were told they didn't throw the rolls away that the let them get stale and then they were used for breading. At this point I didn't know what to say. This is a such a blantant health hazard. People were touching these rolls, they could have been sneezing on them, they could be the kind of people who don't wash their hands after going to the bathroom. I feel the health department should be aware of this. I will never eat here again.

My wife and I took our friends to Villa Romana for dinner on Monday, 9/20 and we were not disappointed. Their veal dishes are just fantastic, and when you take into account that the menu prices provide brushetta bread appetizer, soup, salad and your entree and side dish, I feel it is one of the most inexpensive places to eat on the beach. The veal parmigiana at Villa Romana is the best I have ever ate. This time we upgraded our side from homemade spaghetti to their homemade gnocchi, and they too were fantastic. Do not miss Villa Romana when visiting Myrtle Beach.

WOW! What a wonderful time we had last night at Villa Romana! My wife and I had our date night last night and wanted Italian after eating seafood, burgers and wings the rest of the week. Each place that we have been to this week has been good, but this place was great. We had made reservations and were promptly greeted and seated. The server (Eric) was there when we needed him and gone when we didn't. It was a full coarse meal with soup and salad included and was delicious. Another fun aspect of the atmosphere was the accordion player who serenaded us during dinner. All around fantastic - Full coarse dinner with a bottle of wine and dessert all for less than $100. (including 25% tip). Will we be back? The wife says lets go back tonight and take the rest of the family :-) Needless to say we will be back!!!

This was our first visit to Villa Romana, and it will not be our last. Everything was excellent. The food was very good, and served hot. The atmosphere was calming and you could actually talk to people at your table without shouting. The accordian player was excellent and added a great deal to the atmosphere. We usually do not like accordian music, but his was wonderful. We each tried something different on the menu, and everything was very good. The only thing lacking was better attention from our waiter. He frequently asked the busboy to attend to our table. This was one of the our best meals during our trip to Myrtle Beach.

We ate at Villa Romana twice. It was that good. I grew up in Philadelphia, which has some seriously great Italian restaurants. I lived in Italy for a year when I was in the Navy and had memorable food there. But Villa Romano was just as good as any of them. IT IS THE BEST DINING EXPERIENCE IN MYRTLE BEACH. The food was a memorable experience. The bread (with a delicious marinara dip) and soup (a succulent Italian Wedding-type soup) were great starters. The salad looked good but I didn't have much of it because it had too many onions. I got it without onions the second time and enjoyed. I had a delicious veal dish on Wednesday and a wonderful Veal/Chicken/Shrimp Parmigiana on Friday. The pasta that came with it was enough to make a meal in itself; it was great. My wife had an unbelivable dish called Ossa Buca. It was a pork shank that was tender as butter and was out-of-this-world good. The service both days was outstanding, with helpful and knowledgeable servers. The highlight of the meal was a visit by Owner/Chef Rinaldo. I spoke my half-assed Italian and he humored me with his replies. He was a most cordial host. Grazi, Senor Rinaldo. I loved this place. You must eat there (Make reservations!!!) I would have liked to have tried their pizza parlor, which was next door.

We have been going to Villa Roma for five years running and we look forward to our meal every time we visit MB. We have not found an Italian restaurant that can top Villa Roma back home or at MB. The food and service is outstanding and I recommend it to all my family and friends that go to visit MB. I just wish we had a clone in Greenville, SC. Everyone needs to try the Veal Cesar, it's the best!

My husband and I both come from Italian families. For me I am always looking for Italian food that reminds me of Mom and her homemade specialties. I am wary when I go to Italian restaurants especially of the sauce/gravy used. I can honestly say I found a place that has a sauce just as good as Mom's. We found the place last year by accident and went back the next night. This year we made sure to get there 2 times. The food atmosphere and services are all wonderful. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Next year we will be back and hopefully will be able to bring some of my extended family to enjoy this fantastic restaurant.

My wife and I ate at Villa Romana last Thursday, 6/25. I have to say I think this was the best italian meal I have ever eaten in a restaurant. One must remember when looking at the menu that the prices are for a full four course meal. Everyone gets tomato brushetta appetizer, soup, salad, and their entree. We both had Veal Parmigiana and it was outstanding. Even the side of spaghetti served with my meal contained homemade pasta. The restaurant accepts reservations which I recommend as it is not that large, and I really enjoyed the leasurely pace we were allowed to eat at. I am going back to MB in September and can't wait to visit Villa Romana again.

The meal sizes were large and well worth the price. The service was family friendly. If you love real Italian goumet food, this is the place to visit!

My husband and I have been to Villa Romana for the past three years and we love it . We spent new years 2008-2009 there and we had a blast!. The food is always excellent and the staff is wonderful. We were just there this past week-end and had a special that was not on the menu, the flounder special, and it was absolutely, positively, without a doubt the best seafood dinner I have ever had in my life. It was suggested by dan that we e-mail you to keep it on the menu.please do so.! dan suggested the special, and not only was he on the money about taste but he was also an excellent waiter, during our visits with you michael has always made us feel welcome and appreciated. We will be back on june 19, for our 5th anniversary, and we would love for dan to be our waiter.sincerely, bobby and lisa thomas.....hartsville,south carolina.

My husband and I have lived in and visited many different states and cities including NY and many countries. Villa Romano is among the top 3 restaurants that we have visited. The food is exceptional. Fran and Rinaldo are very gracious, friendly and made us feel extremely welcome. Rinaldo's brother also came to our table and made us feel welcome. Their accordion player was a wonderful addition to a terrific evening. We will be returning every chance we get and have told all our friends and family about them.

We arrived for our first visit on Sat night of Superbowl weekend and the place was packed and busy. We were immediately greeted by Fran, who owns the restaurant with her husband Rinaldo, and told the wait would not be long although there were many large tables being served. The atmosphere was lively, fun with a great accordian player. Our wait was short and we had a nice cozy table by a large group of people who entertained us during dinner. Our original waiter could not get to us so he intoduce our new waitress who was very good. We were brought a glass of wine by Fran while we waited for our table so we were content by the very brief wait even at the table. We loved the complimentary bruschetta, stracciatelli, salad and we were served a complimentary antipasto plate for having to wait. They did not have to do that as we were content with the pace and the surroundings. We loved the veal oscar but our favorite was the chicken stuffed with cheeses and topped with the orange sauce--not sweet but very flavorful! We had coffee and shared a tiramisu and then were surprised by Rinaldo's brother who brought us a complimentary homemade chocolate liqueur--it was delicious!! We were visited at our table several times by Fran and Rinaldo--, who celebrated their 24th year in business that weekend by giving every woman in the restaurant a long-stemmed red rose. We have told everyone we know, how great this place is--from the atmosphere to the food to the warmth of the owners and staff!! We hope to go again soon and wish it were near us so we could make it our 'regular' place!!

While my family and I prepared for our MB destination, I read the reviews for Villa Romana and couldn't wait to form my own opinion. Coming from Phily,PA (org NY) I KNOW Italian food and believe me, this place is the REAL DEAL. I honestly can not say enough about it. The food and service was out of this world. I had the Veal Caesar, my wife had a 'special' Chicken dish with orange sauce (thanks to the server to talking her into it; she was going to get the Ravioli, which you can get anywhere) ..two of the best dishes I've ever had!! The accordion player was very entertaining. Not only does he have a musical gift, he also has a 'gift' with people. After talking with him and watching him with other tables he has the ability of relating with every type of personality; he is truly a unique individual and adds so much to the atmosphere. The server was very professional and charming. In addition, I can tell he was genuinely interested in every detail to make sure the service was excellent -- very pleasant guy. Sure all servers work 'extra' hard for good tips but he was one of those types that you could tell he TRULY wanted his table to experience the best service as possible. I can't remember his name ( I have a bad memory for names) but I do remember he being from Mississippi. I'm SO glad I found this web site b/c it lead me to one of the most unique and best dining experiences I've ever had. We're going back down there next summer and will probably visit every night!!

Hello Friends This is M& J R from Iowa . We wanted to share some thoughts about your wonderful restaurant. I am originally from Pennsylvania and grew up eating marvelous Italian food thus I consider myself knowledgeable about what is marvelous . In 1974 I moved to Iowa and have lived here ever since. Good Italian food can be found here if one looks hard enough…marvelous on the other hand is not so readily available. My wife and I began vacationing in MB about 9 years ago. Over that time we have tried many restaurants up and down the Grand Strand. During one of our earlier visits our good friend GC suggested we try your place and three years ago we made our first stop. Since then we have been back every vacation (twice a year). Everything about your restaurant is totally impressive…the decor, the service and of course the food!! During all but one of our visits our waiter has been Michael and he is an absolute gem and gentleman. Totally attentive to all our needs from wine to snapping a few memorable photos. We cannot say enough good things about him. Please tell him we send our regards. We have tried a number of dishes during our visits and they are all wonderful but I must say the Chicken Fiorentina all' Arancia which I had this last visit (09/10/08) was probably one of the most amazing dinners I have ever had…and at 56 I’ve had more than a few!! This time we dined with friends G& N C. As we dined we had several visits from the Chef and another charming gentleman that told us stories and made us laugh. The meal was amazing from start to finish. Then there is the accordion player Michael Del Gardo. He is truly a wonderful man and we got very well aquatinted during our last visit…in fact we discovered we are both lovers of Grateful Dead music. We had a great conversation about music and life as we dined. To sum it all up we absolutely love your restaurant and everything about it. Although it took a few vacations to find Villa Romano we plan to dine there as often as possible. When we retire in a few years and move to MB we will become permanent fixtures at your place. Again, Thank you so much for absolutely wonderful dining experiences. Say hello to all our friends there. We’ll see you on our next stop in MB Best Regards M & J R

My husband and I went to MB for our honeymoon 2 summers ago and we wanted some italian food and stumbled upon this place. It is such a cute place! They have an accordian player and wonderful staff. They give you great food to start with, soup, salad, bread, etc. The cordon bleu was out of this world. We liked it so much we went back to MB this past summer and had to go back. We are going to MB this coming summer again and will definately be coming back!

My wife and I got tired of the seafood buffets at Myrtle Beach so we started looking for an Italian restaurant. We found Villa Romana. I love Italian food and this was the best I have ever eaten. My wife was in total agreement. It was a little pricey but worth every penny. We had spent close to the same amount at a seafood buffet and were dissappointed, a few dollars more here and we were blown away! I would recommend it to anyone wanting value for their money. We'll definitely go back on our next trip to Myrtle Beach.

The eggplant parm is the best I ever had; that includes Little Italy in New York! Great home-made pasta, meat sauce & ask for calamari w/al dente linquini & hot sauce.

The real charm here are the owners & the wait staff. Ask for John, Camille, Robert or Dan. All make you feel like a member of the family. Have eaten here at least 100 times in the 3 years I have lived in Murrells Inlet, SC

We go there just to feel GOOD!!.
