Ordered by phone from our room at Dunes Village last week and picked up order ourselves. Family of 12. Upon reconciling my account I found they added a 10% charge to my total. Shady for sure I would understand if they delivered but something not right would not recommend. Shouldn't pay a gratuity on phone order and self pick up. Watch your receipts.

Great Atmosphere and Quick time that it took to be seated is the only good thing I can say because it went down hill from there. Our server was very uneducated and immature I have a 3 year old son so he was ready to eat before we got up and played the games so we waited and waited and finally after waiting 45 mins ( given they were so slow there was 3 tables) we got our food which was the worst pizza I have ever eaten and cold. I do not recommend this to anyone that has a California pizza around where they live to ruin their outlook on their food and service by going here.

We always visit the Ultimate California Pizza place every time we visit Myrtle Beach. The last time we were there, we had just been seated when a really hard rain hit. Everyone still had a great time except for the poor waitors and waitresses who had to tie down the canvas sides to protect the customers. There were soaked to the bone but were still amazingly friendly. The food proportions are hugh and everything tastes great. You will not be disappointed. Can't wait to visit there next week (3/17 through 3/23/2012)

Hostess/waitstaff were not responsive, oblivious, and rude. We waited more than 10 minutes to sit before walking away. The girls tried to sit us near the entrance and acted as though we were interrupting their day by walking in the restaurant. They looked relieved they did not have to work when we left. I was relieved as well. Horrible, horrible first impression.

I like Ultimate California Pizza and always have. They have always had great food unfortunately some of the best items they no longer sell, like the tortellini carbonara. Their sandwiches used to be the absolute best when they had the real focaccia bread from J. Allen Bakeries. I still like their food, but I would advise not going to the Barefoot Landing location. Go to 25th Ave in Myrtle Beach or go to the Gamezone (which isn't much better). 25th has to be the best UCP now that the Conway location is closed down. The Barefoot landing store is always very dirty, even in the off season. There is always a mildew smell coming from the dishroom, and there are gnats everywhere, inluding gnats in the drinks/ice. I did not know why this store was so nasty until I asked someone in the know. He reminded me of a front page story about Pizza Hut in NMB that failed DHEC inspections so badly that it made the news channels and papers. My friend told me that the manager of that Pizza Hut is now the manager of the UCP at Barefoot Landing. That being said I will never eat at that location again. I suggest going to a different location like 25th, Surfside or the GameZone. That is unless you enjoy going to the hospital with stomach illnesses.

My sister talked about this restaurant a lot. So when we all went on vacation together, of course we went. Amazing food! Great service! I loved it! We ordered a teriyaki chicken pizza-very good! We went back a second time (same vacation). We ordered a bbq chicken pizza-very good too. My husband ordered some buffalo wings...now, I dont even like the taste of buffalo sauce ,and I thought these wings were fantastic! Now, I talk about this restaurant a lot.Looking forward to eating there again whenever we come back to Myrtle Beach :)

I had came to this restaurant a few months ago and had a bad experience with the manager. She was extremely rude and nasty. She basically told our family that our business was not needed and also told us that she would prefer that we leave. Fortunately we had a very good server that day and she convinced us to stay. All we wanted to know was why our appetizers came out at the same time our pizza did. Our server also gave us a discount and a younger male manager did that for us. We recently came back in to eat and were very glad to hear that the female manager that was so rude that day was terminated. We never had any problems before that day. We love the food and we are extremely happy that some obviously insecure female idiot manager will no longer be cursing in front of our children. The waitress told us that the female manager was just given the job temporarily due to another manager being fired but she begged for the job and they made the mistake of giving it to her. Now that the female manager on the power trip is gone, I would recommend this restaurant to everyone. It is a little more expensive but it is well worth it. The wings are really good and the big kahuna pizza is absolutely one of the best made. Don't miss this restaurant if you are in myrtle beach.

Due to all the great reviews on this site we took everyone's advice and ate here during our first visit to Myrtle Beach in March 2010. We were NOT disappointed!!! The pizza was great!! The salad fresh, and we loved that we could choose either a regular crust or their wonderful rosemary wheat crust for a healthier and tastier option. The servers were friendly and even the manager came over to talk and give us tips on sites to see. This place is tasty, friendly and money well spent. It will cause a serious craving once you return home. For us, that is a 10-12 hour drive. We are heading back again for another short weekend in May. Ultimate California Pizza is first on our list of stops!!!

Not sure if the pizzas are still good they used to be a year ago but the food quality has gone down hill. I ordered a Malibu Greek salad and even though I am not a picky eater , it was inedible. The lettuce leaves and vegetables were warm , brown and wilted. There was no feta cheese. The "seasoned flat bread" was at the bottom of the salad, had no discernable hummus on it was soaked in salad dressing. Even then I would have eaten it except that it was so raw and doughy that it was like trying to eat uncooked pizza dough which is what it looked like. Just could not choke it down . Very dissapointing. Go to Ryan's in NMB for a much better quality salad and Basil's in Cherry Grove makes a great pizza with the crust cooked not raw.

In what appeared to be a small lunch crowd, we were seated almost immediately. That was a bonus. We waiting almost 23 minutes, with a 2 year old, before I had to ask the bartender if we had a server. The bartender had been waiting on 2 other tables around us at that time. We got chips n salsa from the bartender to satisfy our sons hunger. Another issue was that we waited another 10 minutes for a server to show up. The server went about ordering as if we had just gotten to the table. The food took an average amount of time to be served. The appetizer that came out was hummus with vegetables. The broccoli was dried and yellowed. The celery that accompanied the dish was curled and saturated on the ends and soggy. If you chose to get pizza in myrtle go to the mellow mushroom off of rt. 17 next to the hard rock plaza. Their pizza was superb and the service was excellent! .

i wish they had UCP's up where i live! i saw an ad and loved the fact that you could create your own pizza. I am a picky eater and like to eat healthier and ended up getting their light pizza which was on their wheat bread and was excellent. the only complaint i had was that our appetizer & salads came out quickly, but we found that we were waiting a really long time for our food to come out, so much so that the waiter started to joke around about it. I mean, its 2 personal pizzas, how long can it possibly take? so other than that the food was good, and i would def go back when i am in MB next time.

This was an okay restaurant. I would not go back. The pizza was nothing special reminded me of an ordinary frozen pizza, not to flavorful. The greek salad with hummus was pretty decent. We had to eat inside b/c we needed a highchair and it was an even longer wait for outside. I think if we ate outside it would have been nicer. One of my children has a peanut allergy and they use peanut oil in some of their cooking and we had to request the manager to come over to explain some things. Once he came over, he was nice and helpful. The wings were pretty decent.

UCP at Barefoot Landing was most helpful in hosting my son's wedding reception - great service, great food - the Manager and staff went out of their way to accomodate any request we had - all the way to making a crustless pizza for an individual who needs glutten free food items. I can't say enough about how this business was so willing to decorate, accomodate and even have the meal ready upon arrival on May 31, 2008. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a unique wedding reception location.

There are several California Pizza places in the area. We started to eat inside The Dunes but there were only kids working there and none of them were wearing a cap or hair net in the kitchen. We drove to the sit down restaurant at 2500 Kings Blvd. The service was terrific and the food was excellent. It is similar pizza to a "Mellow Mushroom." One of the best meals my family of 4 had while visiting.

My family and I usually stay at Sand Dunes and have always enjoyed the pizza there. I believe it to be the best pizza anywhere. We visit Mrytle Beach three to four times a year. Last week we stayed in North Myrtle Beach and on our way back home, last Friday, I ordered a large lite works and a large ultimate cheese from UPC in Barefoot Landing at 11:20 in the morning. I was very disappointed! The ultimate cheese pizza had hardly any cheese, supposed to have 4 different kinds, and it was burnt. My 2 kids couldn't eat it. That was their pizza. For $15.00 a pizza, it should have been better. The other one was very good, though.

Every California Pizz place in Myrtle Beach is worth a visit or two, but the one in Barefoot Landing is high on my list because you can sit "outside" around the bar. Nothing beats fine dining "alfresco", the pizza is excellent and the beer is cold! One of our first stops when we get to Myrtle Beach every September!

We've always enjoyed the food from the Ultimate California Pizza restaurant by delivery. It's great to come back to our room after a long day out at the beach/pool, and call up the UCP for a great meal brought to our door. The wings are a real favorite, and we've tried just about every sandwich on the menu - all were great! The pizzas we've tried were also very good - very unique combinations.
