Best restaurant we found during our week at Myrtle Beach. The wings were good and big but the Fried Green Tomatoes with goat cheese and perfectly cooked shrimp and the Cajun Cornbread with perfectly cooked shrimp and crawfish etc -- out of this world. Good microbrew beers also -- a must vist. We felt like a local to -- Jeff the bartender treated us like a local and the locals all talked with us -- our favorite on our trip!!!

We go to Quigley's at least once a week. We have worked our way through almost the entire menu with a little help from periodic house guests. The only negative we have ever experienced is that some dishes are a little salty, mostly from some of the sauces/gravies. We highly recommend Quigley's if you are looking for casual dining and great beer. Also, if you sit at the bar, the bartenders are excellent. Definitely try the fried green tomatoes.

We dined with another couple and the four of us LOVED our meals. I have been wanting to try Shrimp and Grits since we moved here 4 years ago and I am glad my first experience was at Quigley's! DELICIOUS! Quigley's will be the FIRST place we take family and friends when they come to visit! Only con was that it is still a smoking establishment (bar area only). Did smell a bit during our meal, but it won't keep us away. Weather permitting, we will sit outside on our next visit.

Quigley's is a favorite of ours, and we return each time we visit Litchfield Beach. With a vegan daughter and a meat and seafood loving son, we have found something for everyone here. The vegan burger is fantastic! (good enough for meat-eaters to love). We also love the black-eyed pea hummus, the fried green tomatoes, mingo salad, seared scallops, blackened tuna, mahi tacos, and don't forget the microbrews. Try this little gem of a restaurant. You won't be disappointed!

We are locals. We visit here at least once a week. Monday is 1/2 off of food. The veggie nachos for $4.50 is more than 2 people can eat.The service is always good. The beer is great and cold. Anything that is the special of the day, get it. There is smoke in the bar but you can always sit out on the deck. If the food or service that the others folks had was poor, it was an exception, it is certainly not the norm.

it should be noted that if you donot sit in the bar area you can not take advantage of happy hour prices, we wanted to sit in the bar area but there were no seats so we sat outside. we were amazed when we were presented with a bill that charged us fullprice for drinks. purposely went for happy hour prices and usually can sit in the bar area, most restaurants honor happy hour no matter where you sit.Perhaps happy hour shoud be extended to the outside area and dining room or at least make note, statingthat happy hour only includes the bar area. very disappointed.had dinner that was excellant!!

Ok, this is not a gourmet restaurant - but it has a unique menu - everything from a great burger, reuben sandwich to a meat loaf dinner. I have eaten here over 20 times and the food is consistenly good. The beer is very good, but you have to know what you like - they will give you a sample . If they happen to have the Angel's Breath - buy it if you are a beer lover - it is very unique (brewed in oak liquor barrels) and has a ton of flavor. Highly recommend if you are tired of the normal seafood restarurants.

I love Quigley's as a local restaurant and pub. I frequently eat there and love the variety and quality of the food. the owners always make you feel welcomed and treat clients with respect. For those of you that feel the food is bland, I'd suggest you learn more about culinary creations. The food at Quigley's is always well prepared and interesting. Most of the customers are young to middle aged. The fact that they have repeat customers is testimony to their fine food. My guess is that the poor ratings on this site are written by a few sour competitors that are having trouble staying in business. Locals and visitors alike love this restaurant. Our out of town guests request to return to Quigley's every time they are in town. Kudos to a great establishment!

Beer lovers paradise,Great beers, good food, freindly people, service was great too. Only drawback was cigarette SMOKE omg you couldn't stand or sit anywhere and not get smoke blown in your face or on your food. not a good place to bring the kids, definately an adult place,If heavy smoke offends you try someplace else, otherwise you'll love the food and the home made brews here, and you won't find better service, it's also a bit away from the tourists traps at the beach which was nice. If you like fresh micro brews and something a little different this is a place you've got to try.

This is at best a subpar restaurant/brewery. The staff is poorly trained, we waited for kids drinks to be re filled 15 minutes(this was after asking 3 times). The specials were never discussed, wrong food items and cold food were delivered to the table. The attitude of the staff was non apologetic. I have visited hundreds of brewpubs around the country and Quigley's ranks as one of the worst. The positive reviews must be from the owners and staff. We sampled six of the beers and found them all to be thin and bland. The food, especially the salads were disapointing. We came here after reading all the wonderful reviews. Quigley's needs a serious overhaul, don't buy into the reviews!!

We found this place 2 years ago, and have been there 7 or 8 times. The food is outstanding. I almost always order one of the specials, and they are normally the best meals I get in the MB area. I find the beer to be adequate, although much better than any national brand. I come from an area with many great microbreweries, so maybe my standards are too high.

We looked this place up because my husband loves to try microbrewed beer. It was fantastic and we have been back at least once a visit for the last 3 years. The shrimp and grits are excellent as well as the fish and chips the portions are huge. Last night I had the fried shrimp (excellent) and my husband had the peanut butter and bacon burger (a special of the day). It was actually very good - he quite enjoyed it. My husband is an ex smoker and I am a nonsmoker and we have never, ever noticed any bad odors there.

Visited Quigley's last week after reading the mostly positive reviews. I have to say it was a major disapointment. Had the Mingo salad that features grilled pears and spiced pecans. If your a vegetarian watch out my pears were grilled either beside a steak or right after - affecting the taste. The pecans were not spicy and the balsamic dressing required sugar to be edible. We sampled several of the beers, Longboard Lager (should be called Coors Lite) bad, bad, bad. Swamp Fox IPA wasn't bad - more of an American Pale Ale than an IPA. The Nut Brown Ale was fair. Service for six was perhaps the worst I have seen at any establishment in recent memory. I am a long time fan of the prewbub concept, but Quigley's needs to brush things up quite a bit.

Their homebrews are outstanding. I buy the jugs of beer to bring to the beach or to bring back to Charlotte. The happy hour food is good and quite inexpensive. Our kids have plenty of choices too. We go there every time we visit our property. There always seems to be a crowd there so I guess they are doing something right.

Great food, excellent beer. The negative reviews of this establishment must be taken with a grain of salt. The food is traditional pub food, not Ruth’s Chris steakhouse. If you are expecting a 5 star gourmet restaurant, go somewhere else. If you are looking for a great microbrew with a nice atmosphere, and great, reasonably priced food, this is your place. I would recommend this place to anyone. I had the breaded fried shrimp and my wife had the fish and chips, both dishes were superb. The next time I visit MB I plan to stay on the south end so that I can swing by Quigley’s in the evenings. Being a home brewer, I know a thing or two about beer, and Josh makes some outstanding beer. He was kind enough to give me a quick tour of the brewery and share how he got started, something I hope to do one day. My favorite beer was the Amber Red, a West Coast version of an American Amber. The IPA was also very good without the over the top, in your face hop bitterness. I sampled every beer on tap and they were all spot on. I highly recommend Quigley’s.

Good food, Good Beer too, Only problem we had was way too much smoke. I mean it actually stunk, I think the walls we're permeated with nicotine, you could smell smoke as soon as you walk in the door, it smelled like a bar room. Nice place overall, but it should be just a bar not a restaurant. My wife got so sick from all the smokers she couldn't finish her meal.Too bad I liked the micro brews and wanted to stay, however I'm a smoker and even my eyes were burning.

We went to Quigley's because our waitress at another restaurant recommended the Vegan Burger at Quigley's. We were not disappointed in the food. The Vegan Burger was clearly homemade and was so good, we went out of our way to go back for lunch two days later. Our waitress went out of her way to make sure other items we ordered (like the green beans), we prepared without meat. We will definitely be back.

My husband and I, beer lovers and homebrewers, as well as gourmet home cooks, frequent Quigley's. There is a little bit of a rivalry between a crappy Broadway at the Beach restaurant and this one, mainly because Quigley is a better brewer and the Broadway brewer is average at best, catering to the masses. Quigley caters to beer drinkers and foodies instead. I would bet anything that the negative postings were from supporters of the rival brewpup, because this place is always spot-on with service and a fun take on Irish Pub-style food. It isn't fine dining, but it is a great choice for a fresh, quality casual meal and a great beer (gotta have the Peach Wheat) overlooking the pond on their outdoor deck year round.

What are these people thinking? How can this place be busy? It stinks. I agree with a previous post the food is bland and the cigarette smoke is so offensive I wanted to call the police! Wow! It has to be the retirement crowd living in proximety and paying for cheap bland food and being happy. I have heard the older you get the less you can taste so i guess it is true. And by the way, the beer is average at best. What are people thinking? I really believe there are a lot of people who eat out cheap and think this is normal. I can honestly say this is one of the worst restaurants in the pawley's area. Stay away!.

I frequent this establishment for lunch and occasionally a beer in the evening with co-workers. I disagree with the Pawleys Island critic, who seemingly has an issue with the owner. The owner and the staff are all very accomodating and pleasant While the burger of the day is always quite unique the food is upscale pub fare. If you are in the mood for casual dining and great microbrew it is worth the visit.

We have a family home at N. Litchfield and live in Raleigh, NC. We never miss a chance to visit Quigleys when down for a weekend or week. Great happy hours, food is excellent, service is great. There is a back porch with fans/heaters for outdoor dining, overlooking a small pond. I've never had a bad meal here and the Pimiento Cheese appetizer (several types of cheese with buttered toast) is out of sight. Don't miss it, the atmosphere is laid back and friendly and the locals are always in attendance and welcoming.

We were staying in Myrtle Beach proper and it was well worth the drive.

I had brought my parents down for lunch. We sat outside on the deck and had a wonderful afternoon. The food was great and of course the beer outstanding. My hat off to the staff. They always make you feel like one of the family. It had been raining and the stop at Quigleys made up for that situation.

Everyone we know swears by this restaurant. We revcently went and found it to be small, very loud and the food was okay. The staff dis not seem to know much about the differences in the menu and our waitress told us she never eats the food here. the beer was supposedly made onsite and was nice

We love everything about this restaurant. The food is excellent, the beers on tap are expertly made by Josh (try the barley wine if they have it) and the servers are fabulous. We eat at Quigley's at least once a week and would recommend it to anyone.

I have to say, this place was excellent. We had the best hummus ever there. The chicken salad sandwhich was also a favorite. We will be going back again, that is for sure. We had Bill as our server and he was wondeful. Very attentive to eveything that we needed. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Quigly's is one of the best restaurants in the area. I eat there almost every week. The happy hour is great, as are the daily specials, the live music, the service, etc. The meals are well priced, great portions, creative recipes, and very tasty - I've ordered at least half the menu and have never been disappointed. It tends to be on the loud side at dinner time, but it's not a problem for me... it just adds to the atmosphere.

This has to be one of the all time worst meals I have had since moving here. Actually, I didn't even eat it - I left about 90% of it on the plate.

Found this place by accident. Glad we did. The beer was ice cold, the food was excellent and the portions were very generous. Good value for the money. Also the service was great and very genuine. Both owners were on site and made it a point to ask our impression.

Fabulous menu, good service and value. Never been disappointed!!!!! Salads are perfect. You can get a small or large AND you can add chicken or beef. Burgers, Shepherds pie, meat loaf, key lime cheesecake pie---I could go on and on. EVERYTHING is GOOD and consistent. I am not a beer drinker, but everyone who is RAVES about the beer. Josh, the owner, is always available and CARES about his customers.

Quigley's is the "new" brew pub in Pawley's Island. Friendly and efficient staff, attentive and accomodating management, spare modern yet comfortable decor, and a variety of beers brewed in house..

Food is always excellent, from the terrific Pub Burger (ask them to leave off the mustard if you don't like it on your burger) to a great variety of daily special. Meatloaf to caesar salad, this is the place!.

Good food and service, a great atmosphere and fair prices, what else can you ask for in a local pub?

Quigley's opened during winter of 2007, and my husband and I loved it from the very beginning. We particularly enjoy the Happy Hours at the friendly wooden bar, as well as the specially priced appetizers, which are all pretty good! The big draw here are the handcrafted microbrews which are made in-house, by one of the co-owners. The rest of the menu is quite varied, with something for everyone. Although many families dine here, we've seen dating couples, foursomes in their 80's, and everything in between. My husband and I are 5-month snowbirds, and we can't wait until the coming winter season to go back again. Another note - when my sister and nieces were visiting last April, we came here twice. The girls adored the many choices on the children's menu, and my sister (a vegetarian) found enough things to enjoy. Truly a great place that appeals to all ages, especially since the prices are extremely reasonable.

GREAT beer brewed there! They fill your plate with huge portions of excellent dishes. There was home-made cinamnon peach butter served with cornbread like biscuits that was good enough to eat with a spoon. The noise level was high during my visit, but that's a good thing when there's a great football game on!
