I ordered delivery for am disabled and have no car.I always get an order of egg foo young and the combo dinner of beef and broccoli. They have the absolute best egg foo young anywhere! Huge portion and the sauce is best I have had. The portion of beef and broccoli was huge, Very nice cuts of beef in a nice dark sauce. The pork fried rice that comes with it the best yet! The portions are so big, I have enough for two meals. If you love Chinese as much as I do, this is the best value for your $$.The delivery was fast, friendly and the food was very hot when it arrived. Now if they would just re-open after the fire. I miss there food!

The food is decent. When I called to place my order, they were very rude. It took the guy and hour and a half to get here. When he arrived to bring me my food, he was rude. He didn't give me all my change back. I wouldn't recommend this place to any of my friends or family. I will not come back.

My wife and I are lovers of Chinese food. We were planning a trip to Myrtle Beach and read the reviews on this site. We don't mind paying extra for quality food. We got take out at New Ho Wah. The portions were very large but I have to say the quality was only average. We got the lemon chicken, sesame chicken and some beef teriyaki. The food was just average but "hit the spot"! It seemed fresh. The beef teriyaki was very bland. This place might be the best value for the money.

This is the best Chinese on the Grand Strand. My friend told me about it before I moved here and I ate there every visit and now that I've been living here a few years, I never pass up a shot at Ho-Wah. The price is awesome which fits with the incredible food. Everything that you can find at other Chinese restaurants can be found here but its just done better. The decor on the inside is astounding. I've taken so many people here who thought it looked a little trashy judging by the outside, but the interior is a total 180. My first time there was actually when they were remodelling it back in 2004 or so. The service is great. The waitresses are constantly passing by to seat and service people so they're easily called over if needed, but they check on you just enough. Around noon this place can get packed and fast. Staffers from all of the nearby MB hotels flock here, but I've never had to wait to be seated. Their take out/delivery is great, also. For about $5-$6, you can eat for at least two meals off of their lunch portions. I once sent a co-worker there b/c he wanted a good Chinese take-out buffet so he could be back in about 15 minutes but when he returned over an hour later looking a little green, he informed me that he couldn't stand to take it out so he ate in and made far to many trips back to the point that he'd made himself sick. Been there! There's also a little bit of a gift shop behind the counter but I've never had time to see what sort of stuff they have.

We've vacationed in Myrtle Beach since I was a young girl and never noticed Ho Wah until about 2 years ago while on a weekend getaway. We were looking for Chinese take out and being unfamiliar with the area, we stopped at another location that was less than appealing on the interior so we left immediately. We traveled another block and came upon Ho Wah. What made us venture inside was a young man who was obviously a local resident because he still had on his work uniform, leaving the restaurant with a carry out bag. I told my husband that if the locals eat there then we could, too. The food was FABULOUS! From that night on, we ALWAYS make sure to stop at Ho Wah to either get take out to take to our hotel when we arrive or to eat from the buffet on our way home. I always recommend this restaurant to EVERYONE I know. Don't let the outside fool you!

I first went to this restaurant about 3 years ago and was VERY IMPRESSED with the quality of the food. Their lemon chicken is about the best I have ever had anywhere. The staff is friendly and the service is great . I have never had a bad meal In HO Wah and I tell them so every time I visit them. Don't let the exterior of this place fool you. If you like a great Chinese buffett, This restaurant has to be on your top 10 list .

I've been a long time fan of this place. Even before it was remodeled and 'cleaned up' about two years ago, it was still great. Before I moved to Myrtle Beach, Ho Wah was a MUST during every visit. Now that I live here I don't get there as much as I'd like to but every time I go it is great! The interior is decorated beautifully and the service is fantastic. I've never had to ask for a refill or turn one away as they've mastered knowing when to bring one. The buffet has almost anything you could want but isn't the biggest in the world. Lunch time there is always busy but I've never had to wait for seating or service. The delivery portions are enough to eat off of for two meals which is great for the price. Although I've spoken to one person who said they found something like a paperclip in a mushroom once. Great place, though. Its a must if you're looking for Chinese in Myrtle Beach.

Went here for a quick evening meal. Was impressed with the food and service. Chose the buffet, unfortunate the selection was a bit less than hot. Needs to have less on steam table and replenish frequently so selection is fresh and hot. Service was excellent but not intrusive. Enjoyed the low background muzak which made for to be conversation easy and enjoyable.

Don't let the exterior fool you, this is an excellent restaurant! We are lovers of both Chinese and buffets, and our experience here was well above-average. They have all the "usual" Chinese offerings, along with a few that are a bit more out-of-the-ordinary, and all were piping-hot and superbly-flavored. We were very surprised to find that their seafood offerings compared most-favorably to the "seafood restaurants," too. The crablegs, the shrimp, and the crayfish were all excellent! While it isn't going to get the visitations of a seafood restaurant while folks are vacationing at the beach, it is well worth the trip! We have been vacationing at MB for 9 years, and will certainly visit again, now that we have found them.

The exterior of this building leads one to think that it is just another boring Chinese restaurant, but the inside is great! Our kids loved the place just for the ceiling, This place has the most ornate ceiling I've ever seen. The food was excellent, except for the tin foil chicken, didn't care for that but the fried shrimp is better than most seafood restaurants in the area. The price was unbelievable. Less than $45 for a family of six.
