If you want a great restaurant then go to New China to eat. We have a place at Pirateland Campground so it is just down the street from us. We usually go for lunch and the food is great and the price you can not beat. The service is great your glass is never empty This the restaurant you want to eat at.

Great food. Chinese hostess was extremely rude. It was obvious that she was talking about you in Chinese to the others while snubbing you. It doesn't matter though, the buildings been bulldozed. Don't know why.

Typical Chinese buffet for the price. It's not the best food, it's not the worst. With all of the other restuarants to chose from I doubt that I will come back to eat here.

Lousy or as my grandkids said, "disgusting". I wouldn't pay ten cents for this meal if it was offered at that price. You couldn't pay me to eat here again. I don't know where to start. It was dirty and the food was lousy. All of it including the crab legs and ice cream were lousy. Don't waste your money or your time. The chinese hot tea was even nasty!

We are locals...and we find it to be extremely nice, fresh food and clean surroundings...and you can't beat the price...I have read some of the remarks regarding crab legs...if you want that go to a seafood restaurant...it's a good bargain here in Myrtle.

This is the worst place I think I have ever been. My husband, friend, and I went tonight. There service was bad. But their food was awful. I ate a dumpling and it made me gag right at the table it was not even cooked. I later threw up. The sushi was sketchy it was small portions and was not fresh.the roastbeef was so old sitting out all day that the meat turned that weird red color. And it was cold to the touch. My husband ate it and said it tasted like what dirty feet might. My friend found something resembling mouse droppings in his vanilla pudding. Everything was terrible. They were rude and practically pushed us out the door by bringing our check very early on.ive eaten at alot of chinese buffets but this is surely the worst. We couldnt bear to tip because the service was so bad and the chinese lady cursed us. I would not recommend this place to anyone..

By far, the BEST deal you'll find at any Myrtle Beach restaurant. The buffet offers a wide selection of quality food and is replenished often. The waitstaff is polite and attentive. We visit MB every year and make it a point to visit New China at least twice. You're missing out on a great value if you don't give it a try. Definitely our favorite!! Thanks, New China!

I am from New York and have had awesome chinese food. For a buffet, this was very good. The roast pork fried rice was very very good, lots of bits of pork, onion, scallions, this and that.....yum! Many different dishes and appetizers to choose from. Tried a bit from each serving table (over 150 items) and everything was very good. The ice cream was not good but who cares. Even the egg drop soup was good. The place was fairly clean, too. And you know how some buffet places can get gross. If your in the mood for chinese, go there!

Agree with other review, this is the worst place we ate. $11.95 adult buffet is a very reasonable price - $8 extra for crab legs. However, the food was awful and there were not many items on the buffet. We only liked the general tso chicken. When we went up for more, we were told they were out and were not making any more. (This was at 4:30, beginning of the dinner time.) When we were ready to leave, we seen they finally was putting more out. This is a definatle place NOT to eat.

This is truly great Chinese food and actually has some different offerings than other Chinese restaurants in the area. It is always clean with fresh food. We have ate here many, many times for lunch (we're locals). The lunch price is decent for a buffet but do NOT go for dinner -- it is a rip off! They want $12.00 a person without crab legs! I think that is insane as you can eat a Calabash buffet for not much more.

The absolute worse restaurant I have EVER eaten in. To start off with, they seat you and ask what you want to drink, then they bring it and NEVER say another word to you. All they did was come by and pick up empty plates. Well they weren't empty, they were full of food that tasted so bad I couldn't eat it. I just kept going back to see if I could find something that actually tasted good. My wife got fried butterfly shrimp, and they didn't even peel them before they fried them and they left the feet on them. And to top it off, the total bill for both of us, was over $27.00. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worse enemy.

Food was really good, a lot of good Chinese food plus blue crab, shrimp, oyster, salmon, a lot of different types of sushi, make your own stir-fry bar and fresh roast beef, the Alaskan crab legs do cost an additional 7 per person, but if you don’t eat them, like my family doesn’t, your not charged for them. I went with my wife, 5 and a 2 year old and spend $25, including a $2 off adult coupon. They do charge more for drinks but we all drink waters though. Food was changed regularly, but there were about 20 other tables seated there so there was a lot of food moving. Make your own stir-fry bar was good, but I thin the guy put a little to much soy sauce in mine. Kids loved it all. Desserts are standard buffet desserts, nothing great about them, but the kids both left with an ice cream cone, so they were happy

PLEASE STAY OUT OF THIS SO CALLED RESTAURANT!The NEW CHINA RESTAURANT is now OLD CHINA RESTAURANT as far as we are concerned and to everyone we know or speak to about visiting Myrtle Beach. They ripped us off. We stopped by a couple of days before visiting the restaurant to inform them that we had a group of 23 they told us they don't do group ratings. All the other restaurants we visited did and their food and service was a whole lot better than new chinas, we actually had service. We decided to eat at the New China Restaurant anyways, because it was close to the beach house we rented for the week.So we let them know that each family would be paying for their own check. In the middle of dinner they announced to us that we had to pay a 15% gratuity, well they put 15% gratuity on everyones check including the single people. They should have told us that when we first inquired about eatting at their restaurant. We had no problem paying gratuity plus extra tips at all the other restaurants. Besides that the gratuity was all on on one check. How can you not do group ratings but charge 15% gratuity on each check from 1 person to a family of 5 it was not considered a group a couple of days before!? It was only considered a group 10 minutes into serving ourselves. This was a buffet. I've seen people leave nothing on the tables in buffets The food wasn't that great and as usual they bring the bill and fortune cookies to say "You can leave now" which I find rude in itself to do. There's was a lady in your ear on a mic speaking to the people in the kitchen you couldn't think about what to eat, because of her inconsideration for her patrons. But that seems to be how they operate their business. Now we know why the seating was quick and we were practically the only patrons they had. I spoke to an lady in the Ethics department at the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce she stated they could add the 15% gratuity. We were fine with paying but not like they had us to pay. As the saying goes either your'e pregnant or your'e not! OUR ADVICE TO ANYONE LOOKING FOR A BUFFET IS TO STAY AWAY FROM THE NEW CHINA RESTAURANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The worst restaurant me my family and I ever visited. The customer service is awfull and food is very low quality. they ask you to pay more for the crab legs per person and walk around and watch you to make sure you don't share your crab legs with other members that came with you. We found rotten veggitables in their salads and it's a lot less than 120(like they advertise) items of food...there is no more than 50.
