We went to Murphy's Law for a light dinner and we are locals who are regular customers. Had the worst experience ever!!! We waited forever to be even acknowledged after seating ourselves.
My sister asked if the homemade chips were seasoned and was told NO but it turned out they were, and not to their benefit. She sent them back for a different side. I had ordered a turkey Reuben but ended up with a corned beef Reuben, which I ate without complaint but not thrilled. Then I ordered a glass of wine, which was forgotten for a while and when we signaled for the check, the server shook her head as she headed back to the kitchen, where she had spent most of her time. Murphy's Law needs to realize they should serve the people at the tables..not just the bar and hire servers who care! And please don't ruin the chips with flavored powder! ref: 27998

Bar manager Jim is the rude and the reason for customers to leave at 7 when he comes in. He treats customers like they should praise him for letting them pay to drink. He stands behind the bar but will not wait on customers. He is the reason for bad review. ref: 27939

Beautiful place, Happy Hour is lacking, we always go to Hadleys but by 5.00 THEY WERE PACKED SO DECIDED ONCE AGAIN TO GIVE THIS PLACE A TRY, DONE , TWO ITEMS FOR HAPPY HOUR, NOT THAT GREAT, THIS GUY IS MISSING A TRUE OPPORTUNITY. Beer prices were right on, but he needs to have a better food menu for Happy HR. ref: 27828

Went to the Carolina Forest ML and for take out. The waitress/Jody took the two orders while she was on her phone with her friend. Got home and my wife's order was wrong. Had to go back to get it corrected. Paid extra for substituting the side with onion rings....a total of five onion rings were given along with the philly cheese steak wrap. (The wrap was very dry). Needless to say, won't be going back to Murphy's Law. ref: 27788

Went to the resturaunt in Carolina Forrest. We sat where we can see into the kitchen. I was floored the chef in white shirt , baseball cap didn't wash his hands after he emptied the garbage pails I watched him the whole time after emptying them he proceeded to put his hand in a whole big jar of pickes then proceeded to cook. If I worked for the health department I would have shut the kitchen down. Very sad!!!! ref: 27122

We have visited "Murphy's Law" several times and they have the best Oyster Rockelfellers! Great laid back atmosphere where smoking is allowed. Crab legs, oysters and the best COD fish and chips around....mmmmmmmMH! Awesome! They love some Pittsburgh Steelers and we do to!!

We went to their new restaurant on 17 bypass near Wicked Stick. Best oysters on the half shell I have ever had.Large and succulent. Everything was great. Fish and chips and ice cold beer. Tons of great fries with it. Marty and Suzanne do a great job. We'll certainly be back again. Prices are great too. ref: 26338

We have been going here every Thursday night since you opened here in Carolina Forest. Tonight is the last night! The male bartender, Duke, rips us off every single time. Tonight my husband had 3 beers and I had soda. We were charged for 4 beers and a vodka. When confronted Duke said he thought we bought it for another couple. Every week he does the same thing. Last Thursday I ordered crab cakes dinner which is 9.99 and includes 2 sides. I ordered fries and a side salad. When we got home we noticed that he charged me 9.99 plus the salad, and he charged me .35 cents for each dressing. COME ON!!! I think he just likes to pad the bill. All he does it stand at the bar near the kitchen and talk to the waitresses and does shots. The average wait for a drink when the bar is half empty, is about 10 minutes, usually longer. This use to be a great place for us to go until these bartenders took over several months ago. We know of at least 4 couples that have stopped going and one more couple that said they are never coming back just tonight. I have never seen a place go down hill in such a short time. We are all going back to Hanleys. Bye!

The steamed crab legs were an outstanding value. They were sweet, fresh and properly cooked, so they didn't need the clarified butter. I have never had such good crab. Doug ref: 24457

Needed to see a Yankee game as the house I was staying in didn't get it. Joe the bartender was more than accomodating. This is what I would label as a "DIVE BAR" and I say that in a good way. Make it a point to stop here every time I am in the area. Even my wife likes it and she is not a bar person. Joe is the greatest! ref: 23801

Cierra, Marcus, and I stopped in on 07-13-11. Food and drink prices were good. Has pool tables, dart boards, and tv's throughout; also, at each table booth. Would highly recommend this spot. Exceeded our expectations. Will be visiting again soon. ref: 23279

Had friends tell us to stop by this place while we were vacationing. We are huge Steeler fans, and we excited to see the Black & Gold in the place. Bought a couple of T-Shirts, service was excellent and bartenders friendly. People singing with the Juke Box was great. We will def. return on our next trip down there. ref: 22623

This restaurant has the best oysters in the Myrtle Beach area. It's a sports bar that gets noisy sometimes depending on the game, but besides that, no complaints. The chicken wings are great and the service has always been good too! Happy Hour features half price appetizers if you are looking for a real bargain. ref: 21761

Just left Murphys Law in Carolina Forest, we came across this bar accidentaly. There is no advertising for this place anywhere but im glad we found it! There were no drink specials really besides $2 drafts and the vodka was almost $4 so i only had a few buy other than that the food was really good. We got oysters and crablegs and the best garlic parm wings in town!!! The service was great also, our waitress was very friendly and helpful, I didnt catch her name but the golf crew I was with didnt seem to mind not knowing it, she was very tall and very blonde, thats all they needed they loved her! (overall very fast and pleasant service). The bar itself is great! Its so big and open we loved it! A really nice place. We will be back next year for sure! ref: 21223

We came upon Murphy's by mistake and have been going back every year without fail. It's the first place we hit when we get into town and go there several time during our vacation. Once we found the restaurant, (hidden off the main road) we weren't sure what to anticapate. It wound up being one of the best nights in Myrtle Beach. My boyfriend and I went there last weekend on a whim, but were sooo impressed by the service and the prices that we came back every night for the rest of the time we were there! We thought Steve was simply the BEST!!! Couldn't ask for a better place to hang out and watch sports and just sit and chat and meet people. Everyone there was great! The only thing I could ask for is that they stayed open later! HAHAHA

I am from the UK and as far as I am concerned this was everything I wanted an American bar to be, after one order the barman (who was quality) knew exactly what our drinks were, Sport oozed from a multitude of TVs, baseball, football, it didnt matter, I became a fan. The people (Customers) in the bar were great and this added to a wonderful atmosphere. My only gripe was that after several songs the host of the karaoke demanded, with a hint of violence (justified) her microphone back. I am also from the Burgh and made it a habit to frequent Murphy's Law when I was there on business during a 4 month span back in 01-02. I am planning a trip to Myrtle Beach next month and you can bet your a*s that I will be eating there ! Great food, awesome prices, hot waitress's, cold Iron City and a downright " home " kinda feeling. I strongly recommend it to all that even drive by. If ya want " southern hospitality " ( which I was beginning to believe was a myth ) in South Carolina you gotta go to this place, it will redefine the definition. This restaurant is nothing fancy but the food is great. We had the crab legs (1 lb. for $8.95) and they were awesome. We had them on our last visit 4 years ago and they were just as good as we remembered. The fries with cheese and bacon were very indulgent and worth the calories! ref: 10941

This is a great sports bar. If you want great pub food, served by friendly people in a fun atmosphere, Murphy's Law is the place to go. As a visitor, the other aspect about this place is all of the TVs and having bartenders who are both willing and able to find your game on their elaborate satellite system. ref: 10421

My wife and I have been going on vacation to Myrtle Beach now for 5 years, and every time we are there we go to Murphy's. We love everything about the place, the set up, the food, the service, the quality of the food, oh yeah and some of the coldest Killian's that one could ask for. Anyone that has anything bad to say about this place other than the owner is a Steeler fan, can kiss our butts, this place is the coolest.

First discovered Murphys Law during a bike week about 16 years ago. Everything about it then was SUPER. We had some small parties on the deck that were outstanding and so was the service outside. Excellent wings. Pittsburgh salad to die for! Clearly a Pittsburgh sports bar. However, in recent years, particularly during bike week, the service on the deck has been just plain lousy. Food is still just as good, though. It can be loud inside during the peak tourist weekends. The secret to Murphy's Law is to go there during an off-season weekday when the locals are there. Quiet. Nice conversations. Bartendars are excellent. THAT's when I go anymore. ref: 7830

Found this place during a Bike Week, oh, some 14 years ago. 5 star rating back then. Great memories on the deck watching the rides go by. Marty and his lovely wife are great hosts. However, that was then. Past visits during Bike Week had lousy deck service. Inside all is still 5 star, though. Best time to visit is during off season. A true local Pittsburgh sports bar. Quiet. Local customers. And yes, the "hot" wings are to die for. The raw oysters are a 50/50 toss. One year they were the largest I'd ever had. So big I took a photo of the plate! I go to Myrtle Beach now about 5-6 times a year and live there during the summer. I make a point of visiting Murphy's each time. Biker friendly. Cop friendly by the number of frames police patches and business cards on the wall. ref: 5743

Myself and two of my co-worker's were in town for a APWU seminar last weekend. on thursday ( 3/15/07 ) night we stopped by to get something to eat and watch the games. so the waitress brought us menus to order something and about two minutes later she came back and told us the kitchen was closed. so the three of us kindly got up and left. as we were leaving other people were coming in and they were given menus to order something. the kitchen does not close until 11pm because i just called today to find out. we were in there way before 11pm. the 3 of us are all afro american and we treat people the way we like to be treated. we were down there like i said before for a APWU (American Postal Worker's Seminar) where we all are brother's and sister's no matter what your nationally background is. ref: 5194

Oh Murphy's Law how I love thee. We went on the first night we were in Myrtle in 2006. I spent 17 years in Pittsburgh and totally felt at home in this bar. First of all, who else in Myrtle Beach serves 22 oz Budweiser drafts for $1.50? Yeah I had about 6 of those in two hours. Thankfully my friends didn't let me walk into the traffic on King's Highway. I was very drunk for a measley $20. Positively one of the best times I've ever had. I look forward to doing it again this year. ref: 4927

Great place to go. every year after checking into the Condo, First stop is Murphys. Family tradition. Best place in town for the Burgh atmosphere, Cold beer, Awsome Wings, and fresh oysters. Only place in town to watch the Steelers!!!. Marty is a great host!! Cant wait to see ya in August. ref: 4765

Marty and his staff go above and beyond! We always make sure to stop there when visiting in MBSC. The food is great and Marty always makes you fell like one of the "regulars", even though he only sees us 2-3 times a year. If you go to MBSC and don't stop here, you're definitely missing one of "The Best" the beach has to offer!! Thanks again Marty and staff!! PS the PD patch is on it's way as promised ref: 4402

Murphys Law is our favorite place at the beach. It's a great restauraunt and you would never know it. Some new friends recommended it to my family and I recommend everyone I know to stop and try the crablegs and oysters. We never miss a chance to stop and have there fabulous food. Great bar for anyone from Pittsburgh. One would never know from the outside, but inside the walls are decked with nothing but Black and Gold. They have a dish network that can reach any sports venue in the world and the beer is cheap. Very local. The wait staff (girls) are friendly and some are HOT!!! A great place to take the boys after a round of golf. The food is decent, it's Mainly a bar but the service is always excellent and usually accomodating. There are a ton of TVs. I highly recommend it for sports fans. ref: 561
