We are locals here in Myrtle Beach and have lived here for 10 years. We wish we would have found Martin's 10 years ago! It has a wonderful bar area with a great bartender. He is part of the Martin family and is a joy to talk to while having a cocktail or eating your meal. I cannot say enough good things about the restaurant. I am lactose intolerant and he made special efforts for me to be able to eat. It was also delicious! My husband and myself cannot wait to make this our special place for fun and wonderful food again and again. Good luck to Martin's for the future!

Eins, svie, drie !! The O'Bells will be back the first week of May 2009. Martin's is by far he best place to eat on The Strand. We would like to give Martin a heads up and suggest he stock up on Bacon and Veal we're meat eaters and we're hungry!

I have stayed with my golf group at Long Bay and Martin's has been a mainstay for the 12 to 15 of us for the last 5 years. The buffet breakfast is always great with the eggs done exactly as you request. There is always plenty of fresh fruit, cereals, fresh muffins and pastries available. We have eaten dinner there as well and the duck when available is to die for. The veal is also excellent. Martin himself is a true gentlemen with some really interesting stories if you get a chance to chat. We look forward to our return visit from April 23 through the 27th. Get them eggs cracking darlin!

We live in the area and have been planning to try martin's for awhile. We went for breakfast at the end of may. This was our first time, and will be our last time as well. Everything in the buffet looked and tasted like it was leftovers from yesterday, or even two days before. I love biscuits and I know when biscuit is fresh. Theirs were stale. They had pastries, which were stale also. I thought I could try a scone, but it was hard as a rock. Maybe when they ordered the scones, someone substituted a "t" for the "c" (stone)? the scrambled egg was bland and the bacon was cooked too much. Actually, it felt under the teeth like it had been cooked and re-cooked. On our way out, the cashier ~ who looked like he could be martin himself, but I am not sure ~, asked us if we wanted a menu for their other meals. Well he asked! so I told him: we will not be back, we did not like the breakfast. Your biscuits are not even fresh. He answered no, but then looked away, and seemed not to care. What a waste of our money! .

We live in the area since April and and had been planning to try Martin's.. We went for breakfast this weekend. Well, this was our first time, and will be our last time as well. The scrambled eggs were bland and the bacon was cooked too much. Actually, it felt under the teeth like it had been cooked and re-cooked. There was somebody assigned to cook fried eggs, but whiel we were there, he was reading the newspaper or away from his workstation. On our way out, the cashier ~ who looked like he could be Martin himself, but I am not sure ~, asked us if we wanted a menu for their other meals. Well … he asked! This restaurant is a secret to most who live or come to Myrtle Beach. The veal dishes are out of this world. Most dishes are Italian style, but the owner is from the Chek Republic. There are some German style Schnitzels which are just as great.
