We live across the road from Magnolia's, and in the three years we've lived here, heard not one word about the place from neighbors. Might be OK if you're there to golf and want a quick bite to eat, but it's odd that this restaurant is a place the locals show no interest in supporting.

We spent our 4th of July holiday at Myrtle Beach and decided to try the breakfast at Magnolia's. The outside was very nice so we had great expectations. Our first approach to the door was met with the owner showing his dissaproval to an employee who had not cleaned the outside entrance to his expectations. As he was following us in he was on the phone referring to his employee with inappropriate language. The entire time we were there we listened to him snap at his employees and belittle them in front of customers. We found it very difficilt to enjoy our meal in this tense and demeaning enviroment.

My fiancee and I visited your restaurant last summer, some friends of ours that reside at the beach recommended Magnolia, giving it a high rating, such as the country style buffet, the freshness of the food , and the hospitality of the staff. Well we were not diappointed. I will recommend your restauant to anyone! P.S We are having our wedding reception at your conference room this summer.

We have been going to Magnolia's Restaurant at Sea Trail for years. The food is always great!! We really love the breakfast buffet - for the price pretty much anything you could want for breakfast is part of the buffet including beverages. We also like the Thursday lunch buffet they have every week - also a good price considering it covers the hot buffet, the soup and salad bar, dessert and coffee or tea. We've been to the Friday nite Seafood Buffet several times and it was wonderful! The servers have always been friendly and have given us great service - several times we've had our grandchildren with us and they went above and beyond to make sure the little ones were well taken care of. As far as the cafeteria feel that a couple of other reviewers felt - I understand that Magnolia's is undergoing renovation at this time and will have a very different look when in re-opens in March. I personally can't wait for that and you can bet that we will go back again and again!

Magnolia's was my favorite restaurant when we visited Myrtle Beach in August 2005. You could tell someone in the kitchen knows all about southern cooking. We went for Sunday brunch and there wasn't one dish that wasn't good. I especially liked the fried okra. The desserts were also tasty, if tiny. The brunch was buffet style, which suited me because I could get as much okra and salads as I wanted. Oh, the salads, including fruit, potato, and a fried chicken salad (I had never eaten that) were also very good. I did notice some of the dishes had too much salt for my taste, but I use very little salt in my cooking. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Magnolia's.

Usually, I come here for lunch but have eaten dinner here twice. I don't come for dinner more often because the wine list is just tragic. Also, the room has no style. You could be in the hospital cafeteria. The grill room has a good selection of beers and snacks, and the bartenders who have served me and my groups have been very skilled. I get the feeling the folks at Sea Trail are missing the boat with Magnolias. It's just ok when it could be so much more.

Contrary to the other reviewer's description, Magnolia's is NOT cafeteria style atmosphere & menu. They have a daily breakfast buffet that is extremely reasonable with enough options to satisfy most people, & 1 day a week they have a lunch buffet. The rest of the lunches & all of the dinners are regular waitress service with wonderful selections. The Tavern Filet Mignon, Magnolia Seared Shrimp, & Filet of Grouper Sunset are all wonderful. They also have great early bird specials that are fantastic values. For lunch, the Towering Club & 1/2 pound Angus Bugers are delicious. We eat at Magnolia's at least 3 times whenever we visit for a week.
