Ever since the new management started, I have been highly impressed. I definitely recommend this place if you are in the area. Even if you are not local, the fried haddock is worth the travel. I guarantee you will love the food and atmosphere

Great little dinner, every year for the past four years we stop for breakfast on our way to garden city. This will be our 5th straight year. The little river dinner starts our vacation, and we were never disappointed. See ya in august...

Love this little place for breakfast. They have the best french toast. They make it from scratch. If you don't get there before 9:30 you'll probably miss out on the biscuits and gravy and that would be sad. This place is so reasonable why heat up the kitchen at home. I'd love to bring it to NJ. The food is half the price. Only tough thing for us is the smoking indoors. Us northeners aren't used to that.

I read the previous reviewers post about them being out of stuff a lot and figured maybe they just got there on a bad day. Well, lo and behold, I should've known better. My wife asked for a coke. They were out. How can you be out of coke? Then she wanted the meatloaf. No meatloaf. Finally I asked what all were they out of?. No coke, meatloaf, mashed potatoes, chicken salad and tomatoes. So any sandwich was ruled out since what's the point without a tomato? Anyway, she asked for a scramble and I had eggs and hamburger steak. The food finally showed up. My hamburger steak was basically a hamburger with zero flavor. How about some salt? My wife's scramble was basically a wrecked omellette. Toast was rocklike and the coffee(which was included with my breakfast) was weak. We walked out totally disappointed. If you're a fan of mom and pop diners like us, you'll be sorely disappointed. Also, smoker friendly, which was a major turn off.

Food cooked to order! it arrives hot and fresh to your table. We always stop at the Little River Diner when in little river, sc. The atmosphere is laid back, with friendly service. Excellent diner style foods at great prices. I always have to have a hot belgium waffle, (with strawberries and whipped cream) and highly recommend the home fries.

This place used to be great, but has gone right down hill. There is not a day that goes by that they aren't out of some food item. One day they were even out of eggs at breakfast time. There is some kid cooking there during the week and he is suppose to be the owner. He better get a handle on how to run a restaurant, because I am tired of going there and being told they are out of this, that and the other thing. The stock answer is "We're waiting for the truck".

Wow! Great food, very reasonable prices, fun atmosphere! We have enjoyed the pot roast, turkey, Philly cheese steak, and OMELETS! The biscuit and sausage gravy is so good! We have made it a must stop every time we are in the neighborhood. Breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner!

The food was awsome when we finally got it. When I asked what took so long the waitress copped an antittude and was literally rude to us, but have to say was good food. So much for southern hospitality.

My last visit to Little River Diner, the waitress spilled something on the floor. The "chef" came over and cleaned it up with dirty towels. As he went back to the kitchen area with the dirty towels, he stopped on the way to grab a handful of potatoes and threw them on the grill! On his way back with a bucket and more towels he threw some bacon on the grill with his bare hands. Neither time did he bother to wash his hands! He then returned to cooking eggs, meat and potatoes and still did not clean his hands.

Needless to say, that was my last visit to the Little River Diner!
