We've been dining at Liberty for years, and it's been, sadly, going downhill. This is the last year we will eat dinner here. One of our absolute favorite places to eat has changed into a quick stop for beer and appetizers at happy hour. The rest of the food is mediocre at best, and the dinner menu is quite limited. For our entire stay, I felt like a sheep being herded instead of a dinner guest. I ordered a strip steak that came out tough and overdone. The portions are small. The service doesn’t stink, but it’s not great. If you want refills of your beverage, or any attention at all after the meal is served, be prepared to wait. I watched several of the staff using filthy cloths to wipe off tables, and brushing all the crumbs and food debris onto the floor (probably the reason for all the roaches in another review I read). This happened several times during our meal. The worst part is the noise. My high school cafeteria was quieter and had more ambiance, even without the lake view. I think part of the problem is that they have music piped into the dining room that’s fairly loud. It encourages people to talk loud to be heard over it, which makes the next table have to talk louder, and so on. Not very conducive to a relaxing dinner atmosphere. Unfortuntately, Liberty won’t be in our dinner rotation next year. ref: 26080 ![]() |

Went for my husbands birthday.we were seated pretty quickly and the server came to take our order, again pretty quickly. We placed our order and had to ask our server for silverware and water. We got our salads and again had to ask our server for silverware and water, we waited another five minutes and finally just stopped the next server that went by and asked for silverware and water. That server brought our water still no silverware. Our server came to apologize for not bringing us water and we said we have had our salads quite awhile and we still don't have silverware. she brought it right away and our meal was served within 3 to 4 minutes of getting to start our salads. We finished eating and the server came and cleared our table so (I had ordered a birthday desert for my husband right after we were seated and he went to the restroom) I thought, ok, she will be bringing my husbands birthday desert so we waited about 15 minutes. Nothing. We got our bill, I did not leave a tip. I told the manager about the experience and all she did was give me a coupon for a free desert the next time we came in. The food was very good but the service was so bad it has scared me away from this restaurant. ref: 24250 ![]() |

In the past I have been pleased with all aspects of this restaurant, but my recent experience was terrible. We walked in and were seated fairly quickly. Only the back section (overlooking the water) was open, so we weren't scattered all over the restaurant. We sat for about 5 minutes, waiting patiently and reviewing the menu. At about the 4 minute mark, another family came in and was seated two tables away. At around the seven minute mark, they had been greeted and served drinks. Around the same time, another family was seated on the other side of us. They too received their drinks in a timely manner. After approximately 15 minutes, and after making eye contact with several servers, we got up and left. Although no one tried to ask us why we were leaving, (I was starting to feel like Patrick Swayze in "Ghost") I did take the time to let the young lady that had seated us why we were leaving and asked her to let the manager know. This occurred on Sunday, November 7th. Hopefully the food hasn't gone downhill as much as the service!! ref: 21230 ![]() |

My wife and I are vacationing for 10 days in Myrtle Beach. Yesterday evening (October 21st), we decided to go for a nice, romantic dinner to celebrate our birthdays (Oct. 22nd and Nov. 5th) at Broadway At The Beach, specifically your LIBERTY Steakhouse & Brewery.
Since it was not very busy, we assumed that it would be quiet and suitable for our occasion.
Your server, Hava, arrived a few minutes after we were seated and took our drink and appetizer orders. I had a draft beer (in a souvenir glass) and my wife had a glass of wine and we ordered an order of your "Beer Battered Colossal Onion Rings". These eventually arrived but both were quite good. However, we then noticed that Hava was occupied with a family dinner (about 12 or 14 people) at another table and also a group of about 12 men (who appeared to be golfers) at still another table.
After taking some orders from them she eventually returned to us and we ordered our main course. I had the 12 Oz. prime rib (which you advertise as "tender, moist and juicy") with a Caesar Salad side and broccoli and cheese. My wife ordered the "Bleu Cheese Filet" with a side House Salad and broccoli and cheese. Suffice it to say, my prime rib was anything but "tender, moist and juicy", in fact, it was tough, dry and tasteless. The Caesar salad was VERY small with dry croutons, some grated parmesan cheese (which looked packaged) and hardly any dressing. The broccoli was soggy and limp and the cheese sauce was watery. My wife said that her filet was similarly unappealing as was her broccoli and cheese.
Although a different server did stop by a couple of times to ask us how things were, we were both so disgusted that we didn't offer any criticism because our moods may have ended in a confrontation.......not what we wanted during what was originally supposed to be a quiet, romantic supper. Each and every time Hava appeared at our table she apologized "for almost forgetting" us. Not what customers want to hear!
This was a very disappointing experience and certainly not worth $68.80 + plus what was, in retrospect, an overly generous Tip.
I wonder if you ever read reviews on Restaurant Review websites like http://www.myrtlebeachscrestaurants.com/Liberty-Steakhouse-Broadway-at-the-Beach.html which include reviews of this restaurant.....many of which are very uncomplimentary like ours. We travel to Myrtle Beach regularly but this experience has left us of the opinion that we are unlikely to ever patronize any TBONZ restaurants again.

What a waste of time and money. The server mixed up our orders. Our crab cake appetizer had not arrived when someone brought out my son's salmon (no one else's food came out??). We inquired about the appetizer, at which point the server said first she forgot to put it in, and then said she put it in but forgot we ordered it. When our meals finally came, my son's salmon (the same one that was served previously) was cold, my filet was "cut with a chainsaw" tender (and my medium-well was very bloody, which I pointed out to the server, who couldn't care less), and my husband's burger was served without two of the toppings he ordered. Our drinks were never refilled, no apology - and forget the appetizer. $8.50 for one small crab cake? Only eat here for the beer and nachos! Better yet - eat somewhere else!! ref: 16394 ![]() |

Friday the 3rd of April at around 8:30.p.m. My friend and I came to Liberty's for dinner after we got off work. We were seated promptly in an area next to the glass wall that looks out onto the area next to the water. There was no one at other tables in this row. The table was wobbling very badly, and the waitress didn't come right away. So we put something under the leg, but it was still wobbling. So we just got up and moved to another table. When the waitress came to the table she asked for our drink order. She mentioned the special was a "Fuzzy Navel". We thought that sounded good, so we asked what was in it, the waitress said she wasn't sure she would have to go check. So she came back and told us, we weren't sure, so my friend asked if they could make a lemon martini and the girl said she'd have to go check. So we just ordered a Strawberry Dacquri and a Frozen Margarita. They tasted like fruit drinks, we didn't taste any alcohol in them at all, and for this we paid $7.95 each. My friend ordered wings (medium) and a salad and I ordered the crusted grouper, broccolli and a salad. Well we were served our food by a short rolly polly hispanic young man. He didn't speak. My friend picked up her salad bowl so he could put her plate down and I slide my salad bowl over so he could put my plate down, we expected him to take the bowls but he just walked away, leaving her holding the bowl (I had to laugh it was so funny, the expression on her face) She put it on top of my bowl, and we proceeded to eat. The fish had bones and was rubbery, the wings had no spice and our waitress didn't check back with us about the food or another drink, until after we finished. We both had eaten at Liberty's before. This was such an expensive and great disappointment. Remember, "Word of Mouth". And unfortunately I have a big one. JL

Does tend to get a bit loud around the bar during happy hour. My wife and I have enjoyed many meals as well as just stopping in at happy hour for some half price appetizers and half price pints. The restaurant is far enough away from the bar that once you get seated at your table you don't even notice the noise from the bar. They also regularly have some great bands play at the bar at night. Food and service have always been great here, at the bar as well as the restaurant. You may have to wait a few minutes at the bar when it's busy, but it's worth the wait. If you are the type that everything is going to have to be perfect, you may want to go somewhere that requires a coat and tie and the prices are outrageous, but if you want a great meal and a good time, this is the place for you. ref: 13505 ![]() |

Yuck. When you ask the waiter in one of these copycat menu restaurants, if he can ensure that you won't get get your entire order thrown at you at once, and he assures you that he will not let that happen, and it does (or I would not be writing this), something is wrong --- very wrong.
The waiter takes your order. -- The runners bring it from the kitchen. -- They don't notice what phase of the meal you are in, nor could they care less. --- The busboys don't know what's going on since they are boys not professionals.
You end up with three courses of food on your table for four that fills the table for the two of you. Go elsewhere. There are many fine restaurants on the Grand Strand that actually care about their clientele. I won't come back. ref: 13009 ![]() |

The food and the service were excellent! We went there for the buy one get one and the place was packed. We didn't have to wait for a table because of the large dining area. I had the Peppercorn steak and it blew me away. Now i always ask for Peppercorn on my steaks. It's the best. The brownie dessert was scrumptious and perfect for two. I highly recommend going here for great beer and great food.
Try the Raspberry Wheat it is awesome! Too bad they don't sell it bottled :( ref: 10170 ![]() |

All I can say is that no one can beat their happy hour. They have unbelievable specials and huge portions. They also have a nice selection of brewed beers done right on site! always really busy - so plan to wait or crowd around the bar - well worth it tho! . ref: 9995 ![]() |

On Saturday 4 of us uisited your restaurant at Broadway at the beach. Our waiter was terrible. A friend ordered a t-bone steak which was to include salad. The steak came and no salad was served. I had ordered a cup of soup with my meal and it came out 10 minutes after the dinner was served, which i refused to take.It should have been brought out earlier with my friends salad. our other friend ordered a chicken w/ shrimp meal, which she said the chicken was tough. Also I believe bread is usually served with the meal. Never saw any bread. I've had better service at Mc Donalds and our party of 4 was very dissapointed with the hole meal. We're not tourists and dine out often in the area. Ican tell you that we will not be visiting this restaurant again. ref: 9980 ![]() |

The food is always great! Love the Nachos and the baked potatoe skins. The beer is the reason we always visit at least a couple times while on vacation! Fresh brewed and always cold. Love the selection of beers. This is a great place to relax and enjoy some good food and great beer. ref: 9775 ![]() |

This steakhouse is a must to visit while in MB! We actually dined there twice in one week because it was so amazing (and we typically NEVER eat at the same restaurant twice during our vacation). The first time there I ordered the Peppercorn Crusted New York Strip. This steak was so juicy and flavorful and cooked to perfection. I could cut it with a butter knife! On our second visit I ordered the Pecan Encrusted Grouper served with Maple Glaze. WOW! My taste buds were dancing with glee when this hit my mouth. The bread is great as well as the salad...no need to get an appetizer at this restaurant...you get plenty of food! ref: 7907 ![]() |

Not worth the wait. Steaks were low quality beef, tiny (not what was described on the menu) and obviously frozen. Very pricey for what you get (even paying tourist prices). For the prices you pay here I would go to a Ruth’s Chris. I would not go back or recommend this restaurant to anyone. The atmosphere was nice but did not make up for the poor quality food. ref: 6844 ![]() |

My husband & I went here on a Sunday afternoon. The hostess finally came and said she'd be back in a minute, 15 minutes later she did not return. We decided to try the bar section, the bartender took our drink orders, gave me a Smirnoff Ice and left my husband's draft beer under the tap while he chatted with someone at the other end of the bar. After 5 minutes of trying to get his attention my husband finally got it himself. We went to one of the tables where it took a waitress another 15 minutes to appear, we ordered a couple of appetizers and those took over a 1/2 hour. We didn't see her again until she served the food to order another couple of drinks. We ate and waited another 20 minutes after we finished to get our bill. There was no excuse for the extremely poor service considering how few people there were. ref: 6790 ![]() |

I ordered the 9oz filet. It was good...nothing special but cooked as ordered and a good quality cut. Tried a couple different beers and both were a bit on the bland side. The waitress was very attentive and had a nice, friendly attitude. One thing that did bother me. The people bringing the food out to the tables did not use trays to carry the plates. Instead they balanced all the plates on their arms -- often allowing one plate to sit on the food of the plate below it. I saw a couple instances of a plate resting in the mash potatoes of another plate. Not good. ref: 6755 ![]() |

We visited during Easter Weekend, 2007, and tried this restaurant for lunch. Never having been there before, we could not tell if they were open due to the dark windows, but once inside a hostess helped us. The inside is quite large, the view of the brewery is pretty cool to see, and you have pallets and pallets of bags of beer ingredients sitting around. The restaurant wasn't busy, it was 11am, and we were seated in the back where everyone else was, with a view of the water/pond and other parts of Broadway on the Beach. We ordered burgers, tea, and tried their cheese fries. The cheese fries came out with the burgers, and was nothing like what I expected. The plate was not even full ( I expected something like Outback where the cheese fries appetizer is literally heaping on the plate ). The burgers had a good charcoal taste to them. The waitress was nice, talked fast, but was slow to come around, especially for a slow time. I am sure this is a nice restaurant and the cheese fries were good. For the money, I'm not sure I would say I got a great value, but it may have been an off day for the kitchen/ waitress there. I would go back on another visit to try their steaks. ref: 6479 ![]() |

The pecan crusted grouper is absolutely delicious, as are the baby back ribs. Restaurant is a bit noisey, due to high ceilings and large number of people - but the food and service make up for it. Definately worth going again and again. If you go on 2 for 1 nights be prepared for a long wait - as its very popular and extemely good value.

We used to live in Myrtle Beach ans would come to the restaurant at least 4 times a month. We just could not get enough of it. When any family or friends came to visit we always took them here as well and they too loved it. Now we live in TN and everytime we come back to visit we MUST go to Liberty or our trip is not complete. The food is great, the atmosphere is wonderful and our family of 4 can eat on appetizers alone and get full. We can get out of there for about $20.00. WE LOVE IT!!! The cheese fries and the nachos are a MUST!!!!! YUMMY!!!!!

I can't possibly put into words just how amazing this company is. Not only is T-Bonz my all time favorite dining establishment, but Liberty Steakhouse falls only a few spots behind. The amount of food I received was rediculous. I felt like John Candy on The Great Outdoors trying to finish the old 96'er. The last bite almost put me over the edge. But better than the food was the beer. Try the Liberty Ale. It's so close to perfection that it's not even funny. It almost brings me to tears that I live so far away from them. ref: 3634 ![]() |

I now live in Myrtle Beach and decided to try Liberty. I ordered a crab cake dinner, according to the menu, comes with baked potato, slaw and crab cakes on bed of onion straws for $16.99. My dinner came, two crab cakes and a baked potato was on the plate. When I asked if this was all I was getting, the lady said "I dont know, I will get your waitress". The waitress finally came 10 minutes later (they were NOT busy that day either) and I asked about the bed of onion straws. She said "Oh we dont have those anymore". I then asked about the slaw, "I dont think that comes with slaw". I told her to look at the menu, and 5 minutes later: ""Oh yes it does" and she finally got it. I was not offered any compensation for the item printed on the menu, even after I told the waitress that was the reason I had ordered it. I was also drinking tea, not once was I given a refill, and we all know tea is almost free to make, I would not recommend this place to anyone..period! ref: 3513 ![]() |

We decided on Liberty because it was the most reasonable priced for lunch at Broadway at the Beach. It is a very nice place! We were seated by the lakeside & had a great view. The onion rings were excellent & much larger in size than expected as was the rest of our lunch. We had classic hamburgers & the bacon burgers with fries. The staff was extremely friendly & very prompt with service. Couldn't ask for anything better. The restrooms were clean too! Will return in the future for the great food & excellent service & reasonable prices! Experience was really great! ref: 2839 ![]() |

What an awesome discovery we had made! Liberty has AWESOME food (my steak was really, really tasty, but for a real treat, try the cheese fries, WOW!), great service, nice atmosphere and prices are affordable.
Oh yeah, the beer is great, too! We will definitely return to Liberty each year we visit Myrtle Beach and WE HIGHLY SUGGEST YOU TRY LIBERTY. ref: 2369 ![]() |

We dined here on New Years Eve after the 8pm fireworks and there was a 20 min wait, which wasn't bad considering the crowd down at Broadway. All the restaurants had long wait lines, so we just tossed a coin and chose Liberty. I had the shrimp and pastry dish which was a chef's special and was excellent. My husband had prime rib. He is very particular about his prime rib and likes it very, very rare or he won't order it. It came just how he likes it, even on a night that had a huge crowd. Atmosphere was great and we thoroughly enjoyed the whole meal. Price was extremely reasonable!! We will definitely go back. Great value AAA++ ref: 2129 ![]() |
