My husband loves pizza and I thought it would be good to give King's Famous Pizza a good review before we leave town in the morning. We try to eat there at least twice each year on vacation. The pizza is delicious with fresh vegetables and a good loose tomato sauce. We love it. Ordered take out tonight, pizza & lasagna. Expecting the lasagna to be good too. It is our understanding everything is "homemade" and it tastes like it. Prices are reasonable. Service has always been good for us. We would highly recommend it if you're looking for good pizza.

We ate here on a vacation, and let me say, the pizza was GROSS. I'm not that picky when it comes to such things but this was downright terrible. My husband had a steak hoagie that may have been good if it hadn't been loaded with a pound of lettuce and very little meat. Maybe we were just there on a bad day?

I have never had a disappointment at the restaurant. I try to eat here at least once or twice per beach visit. Best pizza on the strand, imo. Everything else on the menu is good too. A must stop for those who haven't been yet. Have been told many times, you can tell how good a restaurant is by how many cars are in the lot. Even in off season, this place packs'em in. In season....fuggetaboutit !! Line outside the door :)

We just stopped in and loved it! The service was quick and wonderful. We ordered their Extra Special pizza and it was awesome. Refreshingly different and loaded with toppings. Topped it off with chocolate canoli for dessert. Definitely would recommend it to anyone and would go back.

Our favorite restaurant for spaghetti. The best sauce we have eaten in a long time. We go every single time we go to the beach. Not the greatest environment, but worth it anyway. Also try their home made salad dressing. Its good!

First off this site is not visited much or something. The last review befor mine is 2010. It is June 2011. Well as for the kings faMous pizza I think the most famous thing about it is the fact it is still being sold. I have had lots of pizza varietys in my day and this does not even rank in my top 10. Ok maybe number 10 since all the less appetizing pizza joints get grouped togrthr. I read the reviews and as mixed as they were I thoug the nay sayers or negatives had to be skewed flukes. WELL not really the fact is the pizza was just ok maybe a step above Digiorno and I only say that cause I paid 3 times as much. I had sausage peproni and mushroom. First the pizza was sloppy fall apart in the middle couldn't hold like a pie withoutnit limping over. The sausage was my least favorite kinda the round kibble pieces that tast fake and salty pepperoni was average and the mushrooms looked good but there weren't many on the pizza so they got droned out by the fake sausage. I did get fries and mild wings these were actually better than the infamous royal pizza. Price was 30.00 with tip so it was about the least my family of four have paid so that helped my pizza disappointment a little. Service was ok kinda bland no real emotion or pleasantries but she was able to get food and water from kitchen to table with no problems. It wasn't busy so she wasn't in hurry stress mode. I would not go back only because I would rather eat a digiorno and save the money.

Ordered a large pepperoni pizza for takeout on 9/21/2010 at a cost of $15.75. In short, save your money, go by Walmart and pick up a "take and bake". It'll be an improvement over King's and will be half the price. Even a frozen pizza such as Red Baron or Di Giorno is better. Pizza crust was not the slightest bit crispy and was not hot. Very little pepperoni or cheese on it. Just overpriced and poor quality. Box weighed more than the pizza.

This is our favorite Pizza place bar none!! We are headed to the beach next week and this will be our first stop. It is not fancy or expensive just great pizza. The kind you fell in love with back in the day before all the chains started. The pizza is loaded with succulent toppings and the crust is not too thick or too thin. The Kings special is what we get with a childs spaghetti, it's still plenty to share. We are always pleasantly surprised by how reasonable our bill is too. If you want great, old fashioned, knock your socks off pizza, Kings is your place. I'll post a photo from Kings when I get home.

We spent 8 days in Myrtle Beach. We ended up eating at Hills twice. The first visit had poor service but excellent food. The waitress was 22ish. She was clueless . The second night we had a much better waitress, kinda long in the tooth. She made it for us. I would eat here at least once on my next visit.

you know how you drive by a place that doesn't look so hot on the outside but you get brave and go inside and try it.well that's what we did.it's not like it was in a bad location, just typical old restaurant i guess. we had a real italian woman waitress.she wasn't all the pleasant but not terrible.maybe that was her italianess coming out..lol anyways we ordered the kings special which ahd most everytihng on it and the greek pizza.wasn't sure how the greek one was going to be,but when it came out ,i knew it was going to be awesome ,and it was the best pizza i've had in a long time.they put alot of toppings on under the cheese so they don't all fall off which was nice.the crust was great too, handtossed and very tasy.the decor was very typical pizza parlor style, not fancy ,but clean and well kept.our bill was $45 for 4 drinks ,2 medium special pizzas and a plate of spaghetti.oh,let me tell you about that...the italian sausage they use is wonderful.i'm pretty sure its homemade, because it tasted very fresh and seasoned different than the store bought kind.so if you see kings and think,i don't know...don't drive by,go in and eat a pizza for me!

My family and I ate here twice last time we were in MB. Is it the pizza ever? No, it's not NY style or Chicago, but for the price and location it is good. The calzone and pasta dishes are good and for the money we really like King's. We usually eat out 2-3 times very pricey and then hit KIng's for a casual value experience.

It's not a good sign when you finish eating your pizza and you think to yourself, that you would have rather saved your $40 and bought frozen pizzas from the grocery store! The dough itself has no flavor and terrrible consistency! To top it all off, they use canned mushrooms. Seriously, canned mushrooms!? That is where I draw the line. My search for a true NY style pizza in Myrtle Beach, aka The Redneck Riviera will have to continue. It's clear that the only people below who had favorable reviews for Kings, must truly be rednecks who do not know the difference, but to no fault of their own, they can't help it! I think I may need to make myself throw up now!

My family and I tried this restaurant on our recent trip to North Myrtle Beach. We were looking to try a new pizza place and, after reviewing the menu online, decided to order. For $22 we thought that the meat lovers pizza would be PILED high with meat, but instead got a pizza that was an economy brand frozen style pizza! Wegman's is our local grocery store in MD where you can get their brand of a rising crust pizza for $3.99 and it was WAAAAYYYY better than this place. Don't regret spending an arm and a leg on what you would expect to be great pizza. Save yourself the $ and get a frozen pizza and bake it at your beach house.

I have to COMPLETLY disagree with ANYONE that says this is good pizza!!..even average pizza would be giving this place credit where it ISNT due!!... we chose to eat here just this past friday (aug.14th,2009) & the reason was due to SO many people raving about how good the food was..NEVER again will we make this mistake!!..the only credit I will give this place, is that we were seated quickly..from there, it was a downward spiral!..first of all, the waitress was, lets just say, FAR from competent..we ordered a large pizza, which I literally had to go over the toppings with her at least 4 times, for some reason this was EXTREMLY confusing for her...we also ordered mozzerella sticks & a small salad, with the house italian... My salad, which was shredded iceberg lettuce, meant to be for taco's not a salad, was topped with a mayo type dressing of some sort, it was FAR from italian dressing , the cheese sticks came, which left alot to be desired being that they were battered in a mystery batter, not breaded like most are...then there's the pizza!!!!!...the waitress brings it to the table, it's a small NOT large like we ordered, she realizes that it's obviously not enough for a family of 4 to eat so she asks me if I want her to order us another small??..I agreed, ONLY because we were starving & a small wouldnt have been enough..I personally think that the 2nd pizza should have been on the house, being that it was her mistake, but clearly you cant expect much from this place so the order was placed for the 2nd pizza..we started on the 1st pizza & MY GOD, if I would have tasted it before the 2nd pizza order was placed, there WOULDNT have been an order for a 2nd pizza!!..the toppings were wrong, it was totally undercooked & grossed all of us out!!!... Here is pittsburgh we have pretty good pizza & even the wost pizza here, is better then the pizza we ate at kings famous..I am not sure where the people who rave about this place have eaten thier pizza, but if they think this place makes decent pizza, I feel bad for the pizza they are eating in thier own hometowns!!!.... The worst part about the whole experience is that our bill was $42!!!...now, I dont mind paying for good pizza AT ALL, but paying $42 for bad service & horrible pizza is quite irritating!!!...I can tell you, I am italian & I have been eating italin food my whole life & this is NOT good italian food!!!... Want a tip???..if you REALLY want good pizza, try ultimate california pizza there in myrtle!!...I promise you, you wont regret it!!

We ate at Kings while on vacation because it was located very close to where we were staying. There were 9 of us, yet we were seated right away. We ordered pizzas and wings, both of which were very good. I did think the sauce was a little sweet for my taste, but the crust was excellent. I did think the prices were a little high, especially for kids spaghetti and meatballs (we had to talk our son out of ordering that since the price was so high for kids food). Service was GREAT! Our waitress was extra nice to our kids. The people beside us had huge sandwiches that looked awesome. Would love to try one of those next time (and share it with someone). Overall, really good place with lots of choices for everyone.

Average...Nothing bad, nothing great! We were there late at night. Had a wide variety. Spaghetti, with meatballs and asked for sausage too. The sausages (2) were an extra $6.95. Way too much! Made the spaghetti meal way way over priced. Taste was average. 1 pizza for the kids...they ate it and didn't complain, but didn't think it was wonderful either. 1 sandwich for me. It was good...not great. Prices are pretty good! Atmophere ok, noise level...ok.. Again.....Average!

I first went here the in 1982. I was on spring break my senior year in high school. I've never been that big on pizza, but this has been a must stop for me ever since. Now my wife and daughters also love it. We've been to Myrtle Beach 15 of the last 20 years. Going to King's is something we always look forward to when we're there. It's not candlelight or health food. It's just great food and a warm family atmosphere.

If you like being treated like part of their family, go to KFP. I have been going to Kings for over 20 yrs, their food is fantastic, service has always been helpful, friendly and has always treated me and my guest wonderfully (JUST LIKE FAMILY). As far as cost, Now this is a place you can AFFORD to take your entire family, at least 2x while you are at the beach. The menue has a great vriety from pizza, To subs (HOT and COLD) Salads, Greek or Italian dinners and wonderful desserts. I have tried many items and never been disappointed. I have been going to MB all my life and I know what you pay, for what you get, or "DON'T GET" at most of your restraunts, for your money. This is a place that you come as you are sunburned flip-flops, casual or even more dressed up. Unless they are packed you are almost always greeted within a minute to be seated, but usually as soon as you come in the door. The noise levels, even though it is an older building, is better than the more modern restraunts that have just been built in the past 5 years. The accoustics is good enough that you do not have to feel you are yelling so the other 4 people at your 6 person table can hear you. It is not where you have to listen to what the person behind you is having a conversation about on their cell phone or what they did today. The volume even when there are a lot of people and kids is pretty amazing. I read some of the reviews before I wrote mine, and agreeably most of us do think it is the best pizza place or restraunt you can eat. So, try it for yourself, and make your own judgement. With everyone I have introduced to KINGS, they have returned trip after trip. One week my family was at the beach, our family ate there our first night, then another family came down with their granddaughters and the family wanted to take the girls, so we went a 2nd time. Then 2 days later the girls parents came to pick them up and we all went back to king for our 3rd time in less than 6 days. SO I THINK THIS PUTS KINGS AT THE TOP OF THE LIST for most of the people that have been introduced to KINGS.

Kings has exactly what I want when I dine-- wonderful food, excellent service and reasonable prices! Huge portions of everything always ensure a second meal for later in. We have been eating there for many years and have NEVER had anything other than a great expereience. I am glad to see they now sell containers of their home made salad dressing. That dressing is some of the best I have ever tasted. My only regret is that I haven't yet had time to sample all the many items on their full menu...but, in time I'll get to all of them.

I am sorry but this pizza crust is truly the worst I have ever eaten, I am Greek and the Greek Salad was horrible, served with Italian Dressing?? Where is the Greek Dressing?? The food was not good, service is okay, nothing great, would not visit again. The bathrooms are so small can't even change a baby in there so dirty.

I would like to say this has to be the best place to eat at N Myrtle Beach! We are there for a week once a year and always call in a take out order. This year we had to make 2 orders. The food is always excellent and the staff is so courtious, also the price is great! Thanks so much for always having great food and service! See ya next year!

We visited this restaurant on 7-20-08 and were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food. Our waiter was very quick and attentive. Although a bit on the strange side. Nevertheless he was good. The place was very crowded and loud but not overly loud. We enjoyed our food and had the BEST DESSERT. The value was great. I wanted to return again during the week but we had to leave to go home early. MY LOSS.

Sunday June 22 at 7:30 pm. Decided to eat pizza, we have ate at Kings in the past and loved it. This trip we were not disappointed with the food either, it is great! We were VERY DISAPPOINTED in the wait staff. Rolling up utensils while smoking and with thier ash tray smoldering between the basket of forks and knives they were rolling up in napkins for the next cusomter to use. BEWARE IF YOUR FORK TASTES LIKE SMOKE, YOU WILL KNOW WHY! Owners and managers if you read this please do not let that happen again.

Went to King's based on the reviews I read on this site. I was so excited! NOT FOR LONG!!! I ordered a Greek Salad to go with our pizza...for $6.95 I got a plate of shredded iceburg lettuce with 2 olives some red onions, feta cheese and a bottle of their house dressing. The only good thing was the dressing. Even though I was disappointed with the salad, I was anxiously awaiting a great pizza. The tables around us had these fantastic looking pizzas so we couldn't wait. Our pizza was undercooked and had absolutely NO FLAVOR. It was the worst pizza I have ever had. I could have gotten a better pizza from Domino's. Next time, I will!

We just knew from the outside that this would be authentic Italian, and it was! Lasagne and spaghetti were the table hits, but looking around made me eye good looking subs and pizzas. I would go back to try these. Don't expect much from the bread because it was a few cold white bread slices. This was not what we expected. The side salads were mainly shredded lettuce with runny dressing. It was a very noisy family atmosphere where you could feel comfortable with come as you are...

Based on recommendations from a Myrtle Beach Message Board, we tried King's last summer for lunch and really enjoyed our meal.

The food is good, and the prices were very reasonable. The best thing about the place was the service. The women that work there treated our family like Kings! (I guess that's why they named the restaurant King's).

My kids split a large pepperoni pizza. My wife had an Italian Sub, and a slice of their pizza. They all enjoyed their meal.

I had spaghetti and meatballs, with a side salad. The spaghetti wasn't the greatest meal I've ever had, but it was decent and the price was great.

We both had cold beers with our meal, and I did get to try a slice of their pizza which was very good.

There are other good pizza restaurants in North Myrtle that we like better (Basils and Geno's), but we will return to Kings solely because of the wonderful service and great prices.

My husband and I were very pleased with our experience at Kings. I was craving pizza one day on our vacation and we pulled into Kings. It took a little long than I would have liked to get our food, but when we got it it was well worth it. We each got a 10inch pizza ate about half and took the rest home. we made two meals and a snack out of it. The pizza is out of this world. We will go back

I accidently found myself here 3 years ago, my mom had us shopping all day, and frankly I did not want anything else to do with SHOPPING!- My sister and I ended up here just to escape through lunch, and OMG am I glad we did- the greek salad with anchovies still have my mouth watering. My five year old son even eats THIS SALAD!! The dressing is TO DIE FOR! I live in Columbia, about 2.5 hours away and have driven here just to eat lunch!!! Their salad dressing is addictive, their pizza is the BEST I have ever eaten and I am NOT a pizza eater!!! The service is great, but the food is better!! Dont be fooled by the outside of this JEM, would eat here everyday if I lived closer!!

Last summer, we got a takeout pizza from King's and it was delicious! This year, the six of us stopped in for a full service meal. This is a wonderful place! We had cheese pizza, Greek gyros, spaghetti and meatballs, and moussaka. Plus we got desserts. Everyone loved their food and the service was great too. Excellent food, friendly staff, and really affordable prices - something you don't find often enough here at MB. Will be back every year!

Without a question..the BEST pizza and Greek Salad in Myrtle Beach, ANYWHERE. The resturant is a family atmosphere with wonderful people working in it. Everyone is very nice and the food is great. We eat there every time we go to Myrtle Beach. Prices are very just right!! If you are looking for awesome food with a relaxing atmosphere..DONT PASS THIS UP!!!! You would never notice it if you were just driving around. Look for the Yellow and Red awnings on the right, going northbound. Eat there one time and you will be back for sure, probably in the same week.

WOW! King's was by far the best place we ate while on vacation. The food was excellent, having pepperoni pizza with banana peppers on half, and the BEST antipasto salad I've ever eaten. The house dressing is very unique and made the salad even better. The atmosphere was just right for this type of food--family and friend oriented. This was my first trip to the Carolina Grandstrand, and I'd go back just for King's Famous Pizza and the minature golf---again, and again, and again. FANTASTIC!!!!!!
