We had saw that this place had some good reviews in one of the magazines they have at the beach so we gave it a try. The food was extremely good. A little pricey but well worth if for the quality of the food. Highly recommend their She Crab Soup and their Pan- Seared Scallops.

I am a local and have been to Fibbers many times. Each time I've know I was taking a chance since ever time I'd been there the food was terrible! Still hoping things had changed I tried again on Sunday & again the food was terrible. I ordered the JUMBO coconut shrimp w/dipping sauce. They were indeed huge, but they were not JUMBO shrimp and it was all coconut. At best medium size and the sauce was so sweet I couldn't even eat it! They butterflied the shrimp to seem large and the huge amount of coconut breading made them look JUMBO. Looks can be decieving!! Over all I ended up paying $30. for 4 small/medium shrimp and a lb. of coconut with one glass of sweet tea that was watered down. People stay away unless you throwing your money away!

We discovered Fibbers last year and have made several return visits during our stays in M.B. I love their fish and chips & my husband loves their filet. We bring all our friends there for the good food, the comfortable atmosphere and the beautiful location.(smokefree is a bonus). Ralph, Jean and Jason are a great team and such nice folks to visit. We will certainly be returning when we come back down south. Ralph - remember the Canadian fisherman's handshake?? Looking forward to seeing you March 2013. Murray & Carol Donaldson

Fibber's is our favourite restuarant in Little River. So clean and the best service. We usually have Sue as our waitress and she remembers us from year to year. The food is wonderful and plenty of it too. I love their salmon BLT. , also the grouper bites

Fibber's on the Water is under new ownership since Feb 1, 2011. The food, service, cleanliness, and friendliness was above approach. The new owners are there to welcome and make sure your experience is top notch. My family and I intend to become regulars and will recommend to all our friends.

My husband & I were visiting from Chicago and found Fibbers while exploring. We try to stay away from chain restaurants and seek out the establishments that the locals frequent. We had Salmon and Grouper (evening specials) w/ rice and mixed vegetables, salad, and warm pumpernickel bread. We topped of the meal w/ Bailey's Cheesecake dessert (light & fluffy, like mousse...YUM!) We had a delightful visit w/ the owner...and our server/ bartender Heather was most attentive, even giving sight-seeing ideas for our next day on the coast.

I'm guessing a alot of these reviews were written by someone who works at this place. Its very nice inside, food is decent but the owner is horrible and needs to leave Little River. He's cocky and thinks people support him, the locals here in Little River only support the business's that welcome us back and who are kind not aholes. DONT VISIT THIS PLACE

We visited fibbers last night for the first time since its opened. My family vacations every 3 months so we figured we try it out and see what it was all about. My husband had the new york strip great price but wasnt cooked to his liking. I had the shrimp scampi very good but not for the price to have 6 shrimp with a butter sauce. The service was good but it seemed they were short handed. We enjoyed sitting outside. The only thing I would change is how the locals talk about the owner, if he wants the business to keep through the winter he needs to change his tactics and run a business to everyone not just the regulars.

We have dined twice at this Fibber's and were very pleased each time. Good food, great value, loved sitting outside, and outstanding and extremely friendly service provided by Betty, a Long Island transplant who has fully embraced Southern charm. I had a wedge salad with Grouper and Mahi, respectively. My wife had shrimp salad the first time and a shrimp burger the second time. The only criticism is that breading on appetizers is bland and too heavy, and thus masks the flavor of the seafood.

Only been here once, two weeks ago. It was nice inside and very clean. I had the fish and chips and my wife had the seafood pot pie and a salad. The fish was very good. The seafood potpie was very good but needed more seafood. I thought it was a little pricey for what we got. I would go back, but might try some of the other restaurants on the waterfront first to compare. Maybe they are all in the same price range.

My wife and I stopped in for lunch on 8-20-2010. I had a gift certificate from Restaurant.com I wanted to use. We were glad we did. My wife had the Seafood Salad which I tasted also. It was delicious as was the She Crab Soup. The best was yet to come though as My wife ordered the Vanilla Bean Cheesecake. It was the best cheesecake I have ever tasted. Betty was our server and she had a wonderful personality. The view was also peaceful and relaxing. We will be sure to come back on our next visit to the Myrtle Beach area.

I suspect the first review was written by the restaurant. I will never go back there and neither will the friends I was with. The food was just okay and too $$$ for its quality. The waitress's service was very good, but the manager/owner?? was so obnoxious, he made it very clear my business was not important. My bill came to less than $15 and they would not take my credit card....in a restaurant for Pete's sake. That's how I keep track of my expenses. He said..so don't come again. I won't and neither will anybody I can persuade otherwise. Never should have varied from Capt. Jules..much better place.

Our new favorite restaurant in little river! we have been to fibbers many times for lunch and dinner and each time was excellent...for lunch we've had the fish tacos 2 soft tacos stuffed w/ grilled mahi, red cabbage, homemade pineapple salsa and mixed cheese, the reuben is outstanding and we also had the burgers cooked medium rare, and the best she crab soup in a bread bowl...for dinner we've tried the fish and chips a huge piece of haddock perfectly breaded and deep fried not greasy at all w french fries and the best coleslaw, my husband always gets the special 14 oz. Hand cut ny strip steak, it comes w/ a baked potato, veggie, side salad and freshly baked bread for 19.95...oh I can go on and on,,,,the appetizers are yummy too, fried calamari & the best wings, we've also had the seared scallops although I can eat more than what was on the plate....the service also rocks too! even though on the times we've visited there has only been 2 servers w/ 7 or so tables each and we've never had to ask for anything....oh and 1 more thing my favorite part of the meal the chocolate andie candies brought w/ the check!.

We have eaten here 3 times. The first visit last fall was the best. My husband had the special. It was excellent. My burger was overcooked. even though ordered medium. Second visit had an average reuben and okay salmon blt. Salmon was also overcooked. Third visit had the fish taco special and quiche special. THE PRICES ARE EXORBITANT for the smallest sliver of quiche and some old honeydew melon that was touted as fresh fruit. The two fish tacos had about 3 onces of fish total, between the two tacos. It was very fishy smelling and even the lime didn't cover it up. Chips out of a bag and salsa out of a jar. Where is the imagination? Where is the execution? Where is the food for a $25.00 lunch? We had such high hopes for a decent place to eat regularly but we still have not found it. Beautiful building and setting but that's all they have to offer.

This pub reopened some months back after a couple of unsuccessful starts. It's on the Little River intracoastal waterway, with an open deck, front and back. There's a generous array of gas heaters on both decks for those late fall evenings etc. The new owner made a superb job of the remodeling, and has recently added the bonus of a dedicated parking lot close by. The menu is pub fare, however they regularly have creative specials. What they do offer, they do really well especially the burgers and fish-and-chips. The staff is experienced, friendly, and very efficient. The owner, Rich, is often on the premises and greets locals by name. We are Little River residents and we enjoy it so much we go there regularly.

She crab soup - excellent. I am not a sea food lover, but tasted my husband's soup and got a spoon so I could share. Not fishy tasting but thick and smooth. I got the chicken francise- liked it equally well. My husband ordered blackened salmon, this too was prepared to prefection. The vegies were not over cooked, had a little crunch - just right. Staff very friendly and wanted to please (not just working for a tip). Can't hardley wait to go back. We live about 3 hours away, but this is diffently worth a week end at the beach.

Recently tried Fibber's upon the recommendation of a gift shop owner. The interiopr is much nicer that it appears from outside or you can have dinner by the water. The price was reasonable and the food was VERY good. We had the cheeseburgers, fish (grouper) and chips and the crab cake sandwhiches. Everyone was pleased with their food. Service was very good as well. I would definately recommend.

We had lunch here on a sunny but cool Saturday - sitting on the back deck watching boats and watercraft cruise by on the Intercoastal Waterway. For appetizers, we had scallops - which were perfectly cooked and wonderfully seasoned, and fried grouper bites - which were also cooked perefectly and very tasty. My Bloody Mary was the perfect choice for a nice lunch in the sunshine, as well. Our main courses were varied. My BF ordered one of the day's specials - seafood pot pie. The pie came with a delightfully flaky crust and a great variety of seafood - he described the taste as "excellent" and the quantity as "perfect" -- there is no way I would have been able to eat the entire pot pie, but he finished his. I also ordered one of the daily specials - shrimp tacos. What a great choice! The two tacos were served with tortilla chips, and a lovely salsa made on site. BF's mother ordered the house specialty - fish and chips. The serving was large enough she took at least half of the fish home with her. We have eaten at several other locations on the small water front in Little River, and were not impressed. The food tends to be either frozen, or fried, or both. The menu at Fibber's offered a variety of flavors and cooking techniques. The sun-washed deck was a great place to sit, and the Bloody Mary was delicious! Don't let the outside appearance fool you - you need to try Fibber's!

the billboard i saw for fibbers is right on the money, its little rivers best kept secret that needs to NOT be a secret any longer. the minute we walked through the door we knew we were in for a treat. from the mahogney wood to the slate floors and designer bathrooms this place is a GEM! the food was the best i've eaten in the area, i am orginally from NY and i am a tough critic, we started we fried calamari which was as tender as could be, melted in our mouth and the pan seared scallops that were picture perfect...we had the fish and chips- it was a huge portion of battered and fried to perfection haddick, it came w/ fries that were crispy not greasy, and homemade yummy coleslaw. we also had the she crab soup served in a bread bowl that was perfect! it came w/ a side salad. the service was perfect as well...those girls know thier stuff!! we can't wait to go back and have told everyone we know to try it they will like it....the secret it out!!!

The best thing to happen in little River in a long time! The atmosphere was nothing I have ever had in little river, clean the bathrooms are the Opening statment for the rest of the experience of our nite. The food was over the top Seared scallops and Fried Calarmari was to die for, then the Shecrab soup was awsome and we had the Chicken Pot Pie that was better than Paula Deans and the Ribs were the best I ever had. Would highly recomend this restuaurant as in the top 5 we have had in Grand Strand!

We have a second home in Little River and enjoy going to the waterfront when in town. We tried Fibber's not knowing what to expect. The restaurant used to be called BJ's. Wow, what a difference. The restaurant has been totally renovated and was tastefully done. Even though we just had appetizers and sandwiches, the food was excellent and so was the service. The outside deck, facing the intercoastal, has all new furniture. Certainly a place to be when the weather turns nicer. We will certainly return on our next visit and highly recommend this establishment.
