My husband and I go to Crabby Mike's every time we go to Myrtle Beach. We love the food, the service and the atmosphere. I have not found any other restraunt in the area that competes to their quality of food. We will be going to beach next week and the thing we look forward to the most is going to Crabby Mikes to have an enjoyable dinner. Thank you for your service

Crabby Mikes is definitely has the best Seafood Buffet in Myrtle Beach in my opinion. If you want it they have it including all you can eat crab legs. They have a wide variety of Seafood and Non Seafood items but of course I always eat the seafood. Great Service! Great Food! All for a Reasonable Price. Try this one! You won't be sorry. I have been going to Myrtle beach for over 20 years now and have ate at a wide variety of seafood restuarants over the years until I discovered Crabby Mikes. Now Crabby Mikes is where I go for Seafood when I am in Myrtle Beach. 5 Gold Starts to Crabby Mikes and thier wonderful, courteous staff! Try it......You'll Love it!

Not worth the 24 dollars. Only seafood is baked fish with no seasoning. Small scallops and small oysters overly fried. The deserts were lower quality than a mom & pop restaurant. The prime rib was excellant but forget about everthing else. Also, for 24 bucks you are packed in like ants. I have yeat to find ANY real seafood in Myrtle Beach. Next trip will be to Panama City on the Gulf of Mexico where REAL seafood can be found in abundance.. Dissatisfied...

This makes the 3rd time my family has visited Crabby Mike's in recent years and it will be the last. When you first enter the smell is horrible. Not to mention there was little seafood to be seen. We even arrived early (around 4ish) to see if the food was better. Sadly to say it was not, not to mention the price and I did not have a single crab leg. Crabby Mike's lived up to its name;when I left I was definitely....CRABBY!!!!

We're staying up in Sunset Beach NC this week and wanted to try somewhere new. Our old favorite restaurant was no longer operating so we gave Crabby Mike's a try. It was about a 50 minute drive from Sunset Beach, we got there about 7PM and our party of 8 was seated immediately. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful as we had 4 kids with us ages 5 and under. The variety of seafood was excellent. Frog legs, crawdads, crab legs, three or four kinds of fish, oysters, scallops, clams, etc etc - very good food and reasonable prices. We will be going back. Adults were $24 and kids under 7 were $5 or so. Well worth the drive to Surfside Beach.

Ok, let me start by saying that this will be our families 4th trip to Myrtle Beach this coming June. We have been to Crabby Mike's Buffet every year. It has been outstanding. It is a great place for a family. Our kids are 9 and 7 and they love it as much as my wife and I. My wife works in the restaurant business and I am a delivery driver to many restaurants, so we think it is very interesting the way people criticize a number of restaurants in Myrtle Beach (or anywhere) that we have enjoyed. Our opinion is that people want the GOLD when everyone else enjoys the vacation.

I have a hard time with some of these reviews on here because my family and I have eating at Crabby Mike's regularly since 1999 and have never had a problem with anything worth mentioning. The staff is always eager and courteous. The food is always GREAT and the restaurant is clean. We eat there at least once a month and plan to as long as they are there and we are able. It is amazing how good the prime rib is when their specialty is seafood. Keep on doin' what you're doin'. I 'll see you soon!

My Family & I tried Crabby Mikes for the first time last year and we LOVED it, Awesome HOT food, Good Crablegs, Not watery or bendy like some places. I was actually pregnant at the time and I thought it was the best crab joint. Plus they have a lot of extra items on the buffet for kids, totally awesome!! And as far as the price, I didn't mind, I mean come on we're at the beach, of course we came to spend money and have a good time!! I would recomend Crabby mike's to anyone, And my family and I will be back down in August And will be eating there.

I have been coming to Crabby Mikes for several years while on vacation. a few times we even trveled to the area just to be able to enjoy your restaurant. I have never been unhappy till last night. IT IS A BUFFET, I understand that, so certain concessions are extected as to the quality of food. But after last night.......I will never return because of the problems encountered. #1 Service...yes, but not with a smile or pleasant attitude, our hostess was just short of rude.#2 Food...The shrimp our table had (6 people) were cooked much too long causing them to be mushy. Even the chilled shrimp were over cooked. Maybe it is becausse of the off-season or the amount of traffic you have, but the food was of very poor quality when it was consumed. I know I am only one voice, I have been a cheerleader for your businessin the past and have always recommended you to my friends and aquantences. Last night that all changed. I have always felt your charge to be fair, if the quality was there, but it wasn't !

My husband and I are so glad we checked out Crabby Mike's for our seafood stop! The atmoshphere was great- very fun and beachy. The clam chowder soup and salad was some of the best I'd ever eaten. LOTS of choices on the buffet! Something for everyone- even those who don't like seafood. The waitress was absolutely one of the best we had ever had. She made sure we were taken care of the whole meal through! We'd definitely recommend this place to anyone.

We were looking for a place to eat dinner this evening. The timeshare had provided some bogo coupons. We selected one from another Calabash style restaurant and found this site while looking to confirm the directions. It had horrible reviews. We then looked at another buffet and found similar reviews. Crabby Mikes was up next with a $2 coupon if you were seated before 5. It had great reviews. We just got back from eating dinner there. The food is great, the selection good. Lots of staff clearing plates from the tables and keeping the buffet refreshed and clean. I would recommend it to others and return there myself.

We had just seen a show at Legends and didn't know where we were going to have dinner. We saw Crabby Mike's as we were driving and decided to give it a try. WOW! We've been vacationing in Myrtle Beach for the past several years and never knew this restaurant was there. The food was excellent, reasonably-priced and the buffet was never-ending. So many choices and everything we ate was wonderful. We will make sure to visit Crabby Mike's every time we travel to Myrtle Beach and will recommend it to any others traveling to the area.

This was our first time dining at Crabby Mike's. While the food was okay we will not be going back. We did not like the layout of the restaurant compared to Captain Georges. Captain Georges is more open and the food is not all contained so close together. The crablegs were good and the rest of the food was okay. There wasn't a good variety of desserts. We will not be going here again.

First we picked Crabby Mike's because I have a son named Mike that saw the billboard(he had to have a shirt) and he would not have been happy anywhere else. But let me say this is one of the Best buffet in the area. Yes you may have to wait(which is fun with the DJ and Hoops.), and yes it is a little pricey but cheaper then the sub par Giant Crab Buffet. My family loves Crab and we ate more then we should have that is for sure. It was hot and plentiful with a good fresh taste. The other seafood on the bar was fantastic, it was not overcooked and had the perfect lite calabash style breading. The atmosphere inside is festive and decorated in a bright nautical fashion. Our server for the night was named Erin, she was fantastic for as much as she was running around like crazy I never had to ask for a drink refill and our bone(shell) bowls where always empty. I was so happy when

We visited crabby mike's for the first time and was very disapointed! I couldn't believe the ratings on this page. Those leaving 5 stars for food obviously have not ever had seafood before. I wouldnt come close to calling crabby mike's fresh seafood. The food was frozen shipped cafeteria food, it wasn't horrible but was NOT worth the money. It cost $110 for my family of 4. I feel that i ate maybe $5 worth. The crablegs were good. Every bit of the seafood was fried. It was dripping grease and was very rubbery. I was surprised at how much of the buffet was not seafood. There was all different kinds of lasagna, pizza, etc. I kept going back up to check to see if the deserts were replenished, and they never were. I thought that maybe going with a rice crispy treat would be safe...not, it too was to nasty to eat. I was hungry when i left, and will not be back.

We visited this resturant after reading the online reviews. We ignored the few bad reviews thinking that those people must be picky because everyone else seemed to love it. Well, we were WRONG! I've concluded that the good reviews here are made be the staff that work at Crabby Mike's and/or their family. Let me give an honest review from a traveler in the area...first, I was wearing white pants, and when we arrived at our seat I nearly sat in something liquid! It was a rough start and a close call but I remained open-minded. I did notice as we sat waiting for our server that there was a foul odor in the air. It was that smell you get when a resturant has not been upgraded in YEARS! It felt nasty! The wooden chairs had sticky stuff all over them. Not like something was poured on them so much as just an old varnish or something weird. Our waiter arrived to take our order, and right away we realized he was going to be sorry. Yep, and sorry he was! Everytime we asked for anything he seriously behaved like it was a problem! I had to wait on him to bring butter for the crab legs because he forgot it; meanwhile the crab legs were getting cold. As for the hot bars, there was NO oysters, No broccoli, the shrimp were fishy, the calm strips soggy, the calm chowder, seafood gumbo, and shrimp creole were HORRIBLE! The prime rib tasted like the smell that comes off the crab legs which by the way was the worst smell. In fact, the deviled crab, and stuffed clam tasted the same way. They tasted like the crab legs smelt - HORRIBLE! I literally tasted of all of these things and more, and gave it a second bite in most cases just to make sure, and it truly as HORRIBLE! I do not know what to tell you positive about this place. My best advice to someone reading this wondering is it good? Should we go spend $23.99 a plate? NO! Go to Sara J's down at Atlantic Beach, and spend a little less and have a GREAT atmosphere, and even better food! They don't have all-you-can-eat but what they serve is quality! We discovered Sara J's last year when we visited here, and loved it! We wish we had gone there instead! We discussed it and hated Crabby Mike's so much we wished we had gone to the Piggly Wiggly on Farrow Pkwy and had a $6.00 plate of sushi! They make it fresh there several times a day complete with soy sauce and chopsticks if you wish. But bottom-line don't bother with these flashy all-you-can-eat buffets. They are over-priced and the food is HORRIBLE! I made that plural because last week we tried Captain George's on 17 across from Planet Hollywood, and it wasn't good either. And it's $28.00 a plate - YIKES! Places we've eaten at that I'd recommend; Sara J's - Atlantic Beach, The Seafood Hut - Calabash, NC (its a short drive really), and if you want a buffet stick with Golden Corral. It's not my favorite, but my husband enjoys it. At least there you can get a decent piece of steak, and a potato and salad. Oh and the Piggly Wiggly Farrow Pkwy for sushi! Good luck, and I hope you choose wisely!

My family and I go to Crabby Mikes every year we love it! We are heading to the beach in 2 weeks and my son and his friend have been talking about Crabbys for weeks now. I find the price very reasonible since I can probably eat 10 pounds of crab legs myself and I'm a skinny guy.The food has always been very hot and fresh and we have never had a bad waiter or waitress one even chased me down in the parking lot to give me my very expensive sunglasses I had forgotten. Talk about service! We highly reccomend Crabby Mikes!

Crabby Mike's has alot of choices but we had to wait in a LONG line getting to the food, not outside the restaurant, but inside! The noise level is REALLY LOUD. This was the loudest restaurant we ate in all week long. It is a little pricey. You pay for everyone to eat crab legs even if you don't. We ate a other seafood restaurants that were better that this one. We will not be returning to this one in future years.

On our last night (June 27,2008) in N Myrtlle Bch we took a drive S to Surfside Bch looking for a "better" buffet and fell upon Crabby Mikes! WOW, what a difference in atmosphere, wait, service, quality & taste of food. We consider ourselves to be seafood experts. We know what we like in the way our food tastes, bottom line. Being used to Chesapeke bay type seasonings (Old Bay to be exact) we look for that in our travels. "We" feel it enhances the food. Crabby Mikes came so very close we would rate it right up there with the Chesapeke Bay food, compared to all the other seafood buffets in the Myrtle Bch area!! When we arrived we found a DJ outside entertaining the waiting crowd, and hula hoop contests for the kids. The hour wait passed so quickly and was so worth the wait. My son & his family all chose the buffet of 120 items, and I had the most wonderful "melt in your mouth" lobster tail! We had the best service and actually felt she had become our friend by the end of the evening. All in all....don't wait until your last night to discover this place. Had we known from the first night we would have eaten here every night and never gotten tired of the place. It blows Calabash's (Benjamins & Bennets), & The Giant Crab out of the water!!!

Crabby Mikes is my husband's and my number 1 favorite restaurant. We love the welcoming atmostphere when we come in the door by the attentive cheerful staff and there is always happy tropical music playing (but not loud) and a very festive fun tropical decorative theme. Now for the food: FRESH and DELICIOUS!!! and LOTS to choose from. YUM! YUM! Btw, my husband's name is Mike also and years ago we were at Myrtle Beach and we saw an airplane fly over the ocean with a banner invitation to Crabby Mikes and husband suggested we go to Surfside Beach and try Crabby Mikes, which we did and we loved it and we KEEP COMING BACK!!!

We had seen the ads on tv all week about how great Crabby mikes crab legs were............wrong! He should go a few blocks up business 17 and take lessons from the cooks at Seafare. Their food was MUCH better. We had hoped to save the "Best for last", but were sorely disappointed. They charged $12 for an 8 year old!!! Our total bill was over $215 and to say we did not feel we had gotten our moneys worth is certainly an understatement.

One last thing....avoid the seafood gumbo unless you like something so salty as to be inedible

My family and I eat at crabby mike's for the last 3 yrs. Last year we had dinner there 3 times. We love the atmosphere, the buffet, the waitress and waiters. The food is out of this world. We are coming down at the end of august this year. And we are looking forward to dinning with you again.

Crabby Mike's is definately the best seafood restaurant in the area. We'll be visiting Myrtle Beach in June and it is at the top of our list to dine out. The food is always great and the staff does a great job of keeping the items on the buffet full. Even if you're not a seafood lover or have picky eaters, there's something for everyone there. We usually visit shortly after the restaurant opens, that way there's no wait with small children and you can take advantage of the coupons, then hit Broadway at the Beach or putt putt or whatever!!

We have a summer home in Myrtle Beach and all of our family memebers love Crabby Mikes. I am not a sea food eater but I finally talked my fiance in to going to eat here. He was not excited about the price tag but as soon as he sat down and started eating the crab legs he was happy. I got the nerve up to try one and before long I waas going to the bar to get them myself. These crab legs are the best by far! They are steamed to perfection! You crack the shell and the meat comes out whole. The steamed corn is awesome also, but how goes to crabby mikes for steamed crab! LoL. The one thing I didn't like about the resturant was that a tea was delivered to our table that we didn't order and the server told her manager that she didn't mean to charge us for the tea and he told her not to worry about it, that we would never notice the tea on the bill. She told him that we would, and that it wouldnt be fair to charge us for something we didn't order! However, if you are looking for a beverage the adults at the table can enjoy order the pitcher of punch-Not a punch for kids! ***Being a Georgia girl, I love the fact that this resturant is smoke free.***

The people writing these reviews must own stock. The buffet was 23 dollars. For that you would think they would use real crab in the crab casirole. It is made with imitation sea leggs. The salad bar was fresh and if you like the crab leggs and can eat your moneys worth then you will be ok. Otherwise stay away from this place. Way over priced torrist trap.

My hubby and I take all our out-of-town guests to Crabby Mikes. If anyone makes a bad comment about this place they are obviously just CRABBY people in general!!!!!! If someone in your party likes crab-legs, like my hubby does, he eats enough for both of us so it is well worth the price. We have tried several of the other ALL U CAN EAT seafood buffets and we HIGHLY recommend Crabby Mikes!!! Dont take judge it til you've tried it!!!! If you decide you dont like it and wont go back....then just stick to fast food seafood, you dont deserve to go to Crabby Mikes!!!

This buffet is the most amazing I have ever seen. The service was very good, and the food is top notch. If you like crab, shrimp, flounder or other seafood you can eat all you want. They didn’t have any Alaskan king crab, but snow crabs are just as good. I ate somewhere between 15-20 show crab legs, 5 or 6 stone crabs a mess of fried oysters, boiled and fried shrimp, broiled flounder and some other items. The price was higher than I really wanted to pay but everything seems to be high in the area, I can say they lost money on me. All restaurants are in business to make money and I think they made a little on my wife and kid

This was our first and last visit to Crabby Mike's. The crab legs were excellent, the mussels were okay, and everything else was awful. I tried a flounder stuffed with something (I can't guess what) and had to quickly spit it out before swallowing what I thought was capable of making me quite sick. The other two people in my party agreed with my assessment. Our server was excellent.

My husband and I didn't want to get bufffet so we ordered from the menu. The waiter was surly. Our food arrived and it was very good. However, before we were finished the waiter arrived and took our plates away without asking if we were finished. And it wasn't buffet so we couldn't just go get another plate. We complained to the manager, a blond girl who just said "I'm sorry". No offer to make it right, order us more food, nothing. What a rip off!!!!!!

There were many types of food available which was very good, but much of the food did not taste good. For example, the jambalaya was poor. I use a recipe at home from the Betty Crocker Cookbook that puts it to shame. Also, the crab was tasteless and "ice-cold" at times. Apparently they were too busy to cook it completely. I also had dirty plates delivered to my table for the buffet. I expected more the well over $100 that I spent fot his sub-standard meal.

The food was excellent. I went for the crab legs and they were great. The rest of the family ate other items off the seafood buffet and had nothing but good things to say. You can easily find coupons for a couple of dollars off per adult and with these prices every bit helps. Two adults and one child was over $77.00 with tip. We went early and beat the crowd but were still seated far from the buffet which was inconvenient. We would definitely go back, the food was that good.

I live in the middle of the desert in Arizona. The nearest salt water is in San Diego, 340 miles away, and yet the :fresh" seafood that we get there far surpasses the crap we had here on Sunday, 12 November, at 5:30 pm. Everything tasted the same! I think that all the food had been in the steam trays for a day or more! the desk at the motel said we should have talked to him first, as he claims to have steered many, many guests away from this place, for exactly the same reasons that I complained about! with his advice, the rest of dining experiences for the next week were extremely enjoyable. We went here in April & were seated immediately. The service was excellent and we tipped a little extra for it. The food... was typical buffet food. The fried food was surprisingly good. Light & crispy, not greasy. However, the "scallops" they had out were clam bellies!! I admit that we are a little biased about seafood, coming from Maine - we KNOW seafood! - but this meal left us with the urge to come home & fire up the lobster cooker & have seafood our own way! All in all not a bad place to go for the novelty but don't go expecting gourmet food! Glad I went, as I'd been looking forward to it, but probably wouldn't go back again.

Unfortunately I am a local and I have had the experience of all the restaurants in the area. Crabby Mike's food is not the best by any means. The food is not fresh and not from around the local docks. I feel that if they would purchase more of their seafood from some of the local fisherman then it would be more fresh with a higher quality of flavor. Also the fact that the food is cooked earlier in the day and usually not cooked to order and previously frozen has a big effect. Other than that the service was great and the atmosphere was wonderful.

My husband and I enjoy eating at Crabby Mike's when we vacation at Myrtle Beach. It is one of the anticipated high-lights of our vacations. The hushpuppies they serve you after you are seated are crispy, fresh, and very delicious! There are so many foods to choose from on the very large buffet, you are bound to find something you truly enjoy even if you are not easy to please. They keep their food FRESH. The waiting staff is very attentive. You feel WELCOMED when you come in the door!. Upbeat (but not loud) music plays and the atmosphere is FESTIVE!!! In other words, Crabby Mikes get you IN THE MOOD for vacationing!!! ENJOY!

My family and I go to Crabby's at least once a year or when ever we're in town. We're really big eaters and it takes a lot of food to satisfy my brothers! So Crabby Mike's is the place for us. I don't think it's too expensive because if you ordered the amount of food off a menu in another restaurant, you would pay a lot more! I don't find the wait any longer compared to other restaurants. I love the she-crab soup and the chilled peel-and-eat shrimp. If your family loves to eat a lot, Crabby Mike's is for you! Momma also likes to buy the cute shirts when we go.

I was staying in Garden City so I decided to go to Crabby Mikes because it was close. I arrived right when it opened at 4:00pm. I got seated right away & went right for the crab legs & the Prime rib. The crab legs were hot and cracked well, the Prime rib was just right on the rare side. My waitress was great she kept the butter flowing & the fresh plates coming! As for the rest of the buffet I can't say because that is all I ate! About 10 lbs. of legs & about 4 prime ribs & I was done! With tax, tip & coupon it cost me $23 & change but it was well worth it to me! I will go back again! Thank's Crabby Mike.

This is my second review...my first was on 03-01-05. My husband, Mike and I still eat at Crabby Mike's when we vacation in Myrtle Beach, about twice a year and we love it! We get excited at home just thinking about upcoming vacations to Myrtle Beach and eating at Crabby Mike's. If you like good seafood with a delicious blend of other American food delectables to choose from on their giant buffet and a happy, upbeat atmosphere with outstanding waiters, this is the place for you to eat!

This was our first visit to MB and we were all very hungry for seafood, so we tried Crabby Mike's on the first night there. Well, the service was very good, got seated right away, the place is clean and not too noisy for such a large area. I guess being hungry for seafood and this being the first place we tried, it was good at the time. I was disappointed that almost everything was fried, I would rather have baked or grilled, but overall it wasn't bad. The only thing that didn't taste good was the tuna. It should be grilled medium, this was cooked well done so was hard and flavor wasn't that good. Didn't get to try very many sides as we filled up on crab legs and shrimp. We were all stuffed to our gills, but after trying several other places during our visit, we will probably not go back.

We eat at crabby mike's all the time and have always had a great meal there. I don't know what buffet those people from Delaware went to, but it surely was not Crabby Mike's. They have alot of seafood that is not fried. There are five or six different kinds of baked and grilled fish. There are crab claws, raw oysters and cold boiled shrimp on the raw bar. We think it is a great value and still plan to blow our diets there at least once every two weeks!.

This place was a joke, not only with it's overpriced buffet, but with the waiting line. I was shocked when I went to the buffet to get my food. All the seafood was fried, yet mushy. as if it had been on the buffet for a while. I put 7 different things on my plate, sat down, and tried all 7. Found all where nasty.

Went back, tried some other foods, found 1 item worth eating, the mahi mahi, even though overcooked. Yeah, the crab legs were good, but that was the only thing to enjoy. Its a shame, because the decor is great, the atmosphere is also very nice. too bad it couldn't have better food. Won't be back!

For years, I've refused to do the "Calabash/All-You-Can-Eat" places in Myrtle Beach. However, my wife wanted a bunch of crablegs, so she compelled me to take her and our two teenage daughters to Crabby Mike's. We went on a Monday night at 8pm in high-season, waited approx 15 minutes to be seated. The food was surprisingly very, very good. The crablegs, beef were great. I'm a big fried-chicken guy, and their fried chicken (broasted, perhaps?) was excellent! A huge selection of food. My only disappointment was the desserts - not a big selection and the cheesecake was all of 1/4-inch thick. Tasty, but what's up with the flat cheesecake?

A lot of activity/commotion, what with people running back and forth from the buffets, but the floors and buffets were surprisingly clean. I saw busboys constantly running around tidying things up. Waiter service was surprisingly attentive for a buffet place, ours was constantly taking away our dirty plates, giving us new ones, keeping the softdrinks filled during a busy time. Four adult buffets, two softdrinks, a pitcher of beer, and tip cost us $126.

Changed my impression of all-you-can eat places.

I went to Crabby Mike's last year and had a great time. The buffet was enormous and the staff were constantly bringing fresh pans of crab legs. I was disappointed that the seafood selection consisted of mainly fried and breaded fish. It would have been nice to have a larger selection of grilled fish. The shrimp was the best tasting item with a spicy cajun marinade that was perfect. I recommend skipping lunch and arriving 15 minutes before they open to get a great table and first crack at the buffet. Our waitress was great and the environment was nice too. I'm going to the Original Benjamins this year and will compare the 2. P.S. If you bring a small child they will be frightened if you put a crayfish on them, use this knowledge for good or evil.

Food is of the best quality especially for a large buffet and I do mean large buffet. Service is good considering the large parties and groups they deal with. If you want a lot of atmosphere it may not suit you, but again this is a large place and seats a lot of people so don't go there to get away from it all. I was impressed with the price for the great variety and quality of the food. Large parties may take a little longer to seat, but I thought they seated people in a very reasonable length of time. It is a little noisy, but it is a large and open area restaurant and the crowds are tourists which accounts for a lot of noise and talking. Go for the variety and quality and you will love it. I wish I lived 800 miles closer to it.

If you're going here for the crab legs and prime rib, then the price is well worth it. I'm sure our party of 7 ate over 10 pounds of crab legs. They were wonderful, especially when you got them fresh, hot and steamy. I also enjoyed my rare prime rib. That was all I got. I noticed that most people go for the crab leg. The selection of foods was vast. My tiny elderly mom, who rarely eats anything these days, had 3 small portion plates of food and 2 plates of desserts!

This place is a total rip off. WAY OVERPRICED!! The food isn't very good. Complained to the manager about the food and the price and he was very unhelpful. Our waitress was very nice and apologized and even admitted that she works there just for the money since it's priced so high. I've been telling everyone to stay away from this place. Just ask the locals and they'll tell you too.

We had another fine trip to Mike's several weeks ago. Mid-May has no crowds, no waiting and the food was great. The crab legs kept coming, the prime rib was perfect and the other items I tried were the best I have had at any of the seafood buffets. And the stone crab claws on the salad bar were a real treat. We have eaten here very early and very late and found the food to be consistently good - not dried out nor scarce. For the money, we feel this is the best buffet and although this time we were staying near Restaurant Row, Mike's is well worth the drive to Surfside.

My family and I recently enjoyed an evening at Crabby Mike's. We are from Michigan and one of the best things about vacation is an all-you-can eat seafood buffet. Crabby Mike's didn't let us down. The crablegs and corn on the cob were piping hot and the dessert bar was very impressive. I think the menu said 120 items and I believe it. Our server was friendly and efficient. The van, covered with an enormous crab, parked out front was a perfect photo opp for us tourists! We will return next year to Crabby Mike's!

My mother and I were to attend the show across the street at Legends so I chose a location for dining close to the theater. I had just moved into the area and selected Crabby Mike's based on a friend's recommendation. Boy, was that a mistake. We chose the buffet without looking at it first and that was our second mistake. My mother is in her eighties and never complains about the food in any location that I select but she had some choice words for this one! We were shocked at just how "American" the buffet selection was. As best as I can remember the buffet had some seafood, but was abundant with lasagna, stir-fry "surprize" and alot of other items I didn't expect to find on a buffet in this price range. Overcooked food is never a pleasant dining experience and they featured plenty of that. The worst thing I noticed was the crappy presentation of overcooked food all over the buffet and with managers standing around chatting with each other not paying any attention to the quality of food being presented for purchase by their patrons. I went back to the buffet area several times in hopes of fresher food being supplied by the staff. Never happened. I just about had to knock some of the staff chatting with each other out of the way to get to some of the selections. Was I wearing an invisible man costume that night? I have no idea. The most pleasant thing about the whole experience was the friendly bartender who didn't complain when I didn't order a cocktail but stood over in his bar area and enjoyed an after dinner cigarette (which is the only smoking area in the place). Considering that I paid with tip approx. $50.00 for two buffet dinners with beverage and no cocktails (This amount after a local's discount) I was very disappointed in my visit. But the trick's on them because I had just moved into the area to work front desk at one of the Myrtle Beach Blvd. hotels and have kept plenty and I mean hundreds of people from making the same mistake I made this past summer. Sometimes it just pays to pay attention to the task at hand guys, and provide the very best food, service and atmosphere.(this place is very loud and disruptive).

Very disappointed. Fish was curled up from cooking to fast in too hot oil. Oysters underdone. Small shrimp. Small scallops both not very flavorful. I got a small platter which has the same items as the buffet. Decided I would like to upgrade to the buffet for $3 more. Waitress asked the manager - he said no.!!

Nothing like customer service - glad he didn't start Walmart!

Overall the whole experience was lousy. My aunt came from England and this was our only seafood at Myrtle Beach all year.

Don't go there. Over-rated. Go to Murrell's inlet (Original Calabash) or Bennetts buffet.

Better than some of the other seafood buffet places in Myrtle Beach. Food quality was top shelf, and nobody hawking timeshares, either :)...... maybe they were off that evening.

Back to the food, the crab legs were the best of any we have had in the Myrtle Beach area. Everything else was just as good, and the service was great, too.

As with every place, bring coupons and get there early.

We eat here every year and on the first night at the beach. We go early for quick seating.

We use the coupons for x-tra off since it is pricey.

The wide selection helps the price not seem as bad.

The selection is mind-boggling. If you leave here hungry it's your fault.

Dined at Mike's 2 nights in a row. This was our first time at Myrtle Beach and could have scouted more but the goal was to enjoy fresh seafood (not frozen, fried Sam's Club "seafood" -read Herrons of Duck, OuterBanks, NC). Found delicious food that was worth the wait. Lots of fun in the wait line for the kids and adults with conversation, DJ and events. Family oriented, busy, noisy, had to buy the T-shirt. Will definately return.

Crabby Mikes is the best all you can eat seafood restaurant in Myrtle Beach !!!!! We've gone every year since it opened. Timing is everything when it comes to seating. Look at it like this, many people loves Mikes. How many people remember the restaurant that burnt down, so Crabby Mikes could be built on that spot. It was good but Mikes is the best in Myrtle Beach.. See ya in August!
