The previous reviewer said it was "a best kept secret" well is should be kept a secret!! It was awful. When we got there the place was half empty so we found and empty table. Shortly after sitting down my arm was stuck to the table. Sticky. So after our waiter wiped the table down we ordered. Flounder dinner...fish, mashed potatoes, mac n cheese. It looked like they heated at Banquet TV dinner and dumped it on the plate. Preformed fish, lumpy potatoes and cold mac n cheese. Quite frankly I would have been happier with a TV dinner. My wife ordered salad plate...instead of grated cheddar it had Kraft singles!! Really!! ref: 27178 ![]() |

Chelsea Jo's is one of the best kept secrets on the Strand. It doesn't look like much from the outside, and the decor and furnishings inside are just average. But the food they serve is outstanding. During the week they have the working man/woman lunch special. You get a choice of several entrees with two sides, a roll, and a drink for just $5.95. And the portions are extremely generous. Come in on the weekend and the price increases, but the portion size doubles. The staff is very friendly, courteous, and helpful. Give this place a try and you will be bacl again. ref: 26395 ![]() |
