I took 15 girls from the neighborhood for lunch. Every single one was pleased with the food, service and atmosphere. I believe many will return. I found it to be so delightful that I will be bringing 35 ladies from my church. They are most willing to accommodate our needs. We will have a private dining area upstairs. Walked in & did not know what to expect. There were no prices on board out front. Blown away! Everything was excellent. The Lobster & Shrimp Bisque, the Ceasar Salad, the 12 oz ribeye, the Seafood Platter & Jumbo Shrimp with seafood dressing topped with Lobster Sauce EXCELLENT! ref: 26492

I have been visiting the Myrtle Beach area for the last 25 years. I usually try a new place each time I vacation at the beach. I thought Dave's Dockside would be a nice place and a good value for the money. WRONG! I should have known that something was wrong as soon as I arrived and the specials had no prices. I was seated with a nice view of the swamp (Murrels Inlet) and placed our drink orders. I ordered a sweet tea and the other two members in my party ordered unsweetened tea and a diet coke. When the drinks arrived I took a sip of my sweet tea only to spit it back into the glass because it was old and tasted horrible. Our waitress apologized and brought us new after 10 minutes but I should have walked out then. Not me, I gave them another chance to get our dinners correct. I ordered fish and chips ( It was a special) the other two meals were a combination ( Pick 3) which was shrimp, scallops, and flounder and the last meal was 10 grilled shrimp with broccoli and rice. When the meals came, the shrimp dish broccoli was ice cold, the fish and chips was a children's order, and the combination platter was completely wrong. It was suppose to be flounder, shrimp, scallops. Instead it had flounder, deviled crab, and fried oysters. After consulting with the waitress she brought the items that were missing. I expected something other than I am sorry. I already know they are sorry. I figured that out as soon as I got there. We did not order dessert but when my bill came it was 86.00. 22.00 dollars for fish and chips, are you kidding me! The combination platter was only 23.00 I could not believe it. I paid it and went to leave but one of the people in my party went to the mens room on the way out. After a while I went in to see what was taking so long. As it turns out, the door on the bathroom stall had a broken handle and my friend could not get out of the bathroom. When I brought this issue up to the manager of the restaurant, not only did he offer no apology for anything I had went through that night. He told me that he would put a sign on the door, I guess that was suppose to make me feel better. I will never eat here again and good luck to you if you choose to. ref: 25959

Felt compelled to write after reading some of these misleading reviews. Have now been to Dave's twice (summer 2010 & 2011); and both times were excellent! Both visits we were seated very quickly, and the atmosphere was great. Our waiter was Dylan and he did a great job making us feel welcome and valued as customers. He was very accomodating on menu selections and his service was tip-top. The food was fantastic both times. The restaurant completely lived up to the description I gave my family companions (their first visit). Would suggest that the staff servicing the outside location stop using the dining room to travel back and forth from kitchen. However, this is the ONLY thing I can think of to suggest for an improvement. We had a great time, and certainly plan to go back (in fact, my daughter wants to go back tonight) After boasting of the place to my companions, Dave's lived up to it in every way. ref: 23829

My husband and I ate at Dockside for my husband's birthday. It was the worst food that I have ever paid for. I had the seafood trio and my husband had the ribeye. The seafood was no more than seasoned with something similar to Mrs. Dash. Gilligan's has better flavor of seafood (a chain restaurant with seafood platters about $15). For $25 the fish was flounder...really? My husband ordered his ribeye medium...well when the beef is brown throughout then that is NOT medium. The entrees were served with 2 pieces of broccoli and a scoop of plain wild rice (no flavor) or a dried up baked potatoe. I have worked in fine dining since I was 16 and this restaurant should be ashamed! I have eatten at every fine dining restaurant from Pawleys through Myrtle Beach...DONT GO TO DOCKSIDE!! For the same prices try a place like Austins Ocean One and taste the great difference. ref: 22589

I had Captain Dave's eaely bird special and it was terrible. I had the grilled chicken and I got 2 very small very over cokked chicken breasts, a scoop of wild rice and 2 pieces of broccoli along with some fried squash as an appitizer and a very good dessert. The services was even worse the meal. I am a local and have found the few times I have tried this restaurant it is most often the same. ref: 20337

This was the best food that I had in SC. We made a reservation for 3 & they seated us as soon as we walked through the doors on a Saturday night. Every other restaurant we had been to on this vaca had been atleast one hour wait to be seated. It was a very fancy restaurant, but managed to still be family friendly. My little girl got a grilled hot dog & fries that came with icecream for only $3.99. My main course meal cost $32, but it was worth every penny & I got close to the most expensive thing on the menu. ref: 19346

Memorial Day weekend, but they should have been prepared! 40 minute wait. (parking lots were full all over the inlet) Took about 45 minutes to get our entrees (4)and one of them was wrong. Shrimp and crab bisque had very little seafood, tiny bits, and was tomatoey. Friednshrimp and French fries were overcooked. Grilled seafood trio was blackened. Hush puppies were about the size of a nickel and sweet, served with raspberry butter (not what we like). Caesar salad with grilled shrimp came to table when the other 3 of us were almost finished. Too noisy to enjoy the piano player. Pricey. Check was $48 for 2 of us, without any drinks, just water. Would not go back. ref: 19164

My husband and I ate at Capt. Dave's in January when we were at the beach for a couple of days. We had seen a recommendation by Southern Living and thought we would try it. I was so shocked by our experience. We were not in there more than 15 or 20 minutes. We were given a handful of hushpuppies and then our meal. We had ordered Grouper. The one piece of grouper was very small and about 1/4" thick. We also had a very small baked potato and a few asparagus sprouts. THAT WAS IT! I have never been so dissappointed in my life. We eat out at least once a week and have never experienced anything like this. The total was over $50.00 and we both felt cheated. When the manager came by to see how things were, my husband politely said there was not enough food. The manager replied that we could get dessert. We did not say anything further, but were furious, and stopped by Outback on the way back to the hotel for a large dessert and coffee. Don't think that we are hicks and just don't know a good meal when we see one. One of our favorite restaurants at the beach is "Cagneys" which is in the same price range, and it actually takes at least an hour to enjoy the meal and we don't leave hungry! This may have been unusual but it is our experience and we have shared it with many people since then. ref: 18271

I have a house in Pawleys and was always trying to find a great restaurant with a great location and after 2 yrs. We found Capt, Daves Dockside in Murrells Inlet! We come here quite often having a fantastic dinners every time we dine here! After dinner we make it out to there outside Deck bar where all fun begins! We met Sasha their bartender 2 yrs.ago and we always are looking to seeing her since she makes that bar so much fun that why we are always come to visit I would highly reccomend coming to Capt. Daves Dockside
reason why we always come back! We laugh while were there the entire time! She so funny with the way she introduces everyone sitting at the bar to each other where people get to meet and when we come back we have always known someone sitting the bar!

Capt Daves is a family restaurant that has served some of the most wonderful food on the grand strand for over 20 years. The atmosphere is casual yet the experience is anything but ordinary. There is something for everyone here. Th view is the best one in Murrells Inlet! Chef Richard Is an amazing culinary expert, He's always providing a world class menu with delicious specialty items he creates himself like the ( Watermelon Vingarette which is worth its weight in gold) Bring your family, friends and out of town visitors to the most exceptional restaurant In Murrells Inlet.The majority of the restaurants around Daves Dockside offer no distinction. The same basic menus fried fish, beef and seafood. Daves puts their own twist on the most simple of dishes to ensure a culinary treat. They did my hosted my daughters wedding and it was a memorable excellent experience! My wife and I have scoured the Myrtle Beach, Murrells Inlet, Litchfield/ Pawleys area for 15 yrs., and Dave's Dockside has it! Excellent menu that changes often...freshest ingredients -esp. seafood, well prepared in a professional yet relaxing atmosphere. Above average wine list. The service here is also excellent. You can see right into the kitchen, so I can't believe some of the crap stated on here. We are going back in Jan. 2010 for my birthday - wouldn't want to go anywhere else! ref: 17107

We used to be avid Drunken Jack fans (the restaurant next ddor)....until we accidentallly discovered Capt. Dave's Dockside!! We haven't been back to Drunken Jack's since! We have been going to Capt. Dave's since 2005 and have never had a bad experience. The flounder is incredible, as are many other items on the menu (crab cakes, grouper, chicken)! The hush puppies and watermelon vinagerette are out of this world! The service has always been top notch - they even held our table when we were 20 min. late for our reservation due to heavy traffic. We go to Capt. Dave's every year and love it....we are so glad that we found this restuarant!! Would highly reccommend it! ref: 16543

We made reservations for this restaurant for 7:30 pm and showed up 5 minutes early. We were told when we got there it would be a 30-40 minute wait due to the party before us that was taking too long. We explained we had 2 young children (5 & 3) that would not make it that long. They offered us outside seating, (on a hot night) which we reluctantly decided to try. When we got outside and found out it was a picnic table, not even a table with chairs, we spoke to the manager and asked him to try to accomodate us.
He was less than helpfull, as were the 2 hostesses, and offered no solutions. We ended up going up the road where they seated us in 10 minutes, with no reservations, the food was great and most of all the attitude was much better.

We were going to Drunken Jacks but decided to sit on the Gazebo at Dave's Dockside because it was a shorter wait.......or so we thought. We waited around 30 minutes and were told our table was being cleaned off and would be ready shortly. That is when our night went downhill. I can't say with 100% accuracy but as a table was being cleared off a man approached the hostess and it seemed that he handed her some money. Next thing you know, the table we thought was going to be ours is where they were seated. We were then told we had a choice to sit in a corner where the Band would be playing or we could sit outside. We decided on the corner. Once we ordered after about an hour the waitress approached us and told us that our food would be out shortly and that she was sorry to tell us that they ran out of scallops and had to send someone to the market to get some more. It would have been nice if we had been told at the time that they were out and we would have gladly ordered something else. Then the Manager came out about 15 minutes later and apologized and said that the kitchen had problems and was backed up and he would discount our ticket. So did they run out of scallops (how does a place in Murrells Inlet run out)? Or was the kitchen just slow?
The manager did discount our ticket 20% but what topped the night off is that we were supposed to be out of our table by 9 so the band could set up. Of course we were seated about 7:50 and we received our food about 9:15. We didn't want to be in the bands way, we assumed we would be on our way out at 9 instead of just getting our food. We then heard the waitress talking to a band member and telling him she was sorry but the people in the corner were being slow and she was trying to hurry us up. She had been very nice up until that point but you do not tell the band something like that when a customer can here it. As for the Food.........it was not even that good. I will not be visiting again and I see that a lot of people like it but we had a horrible experience and will tell all of our friends to stay away as well. ref: 15216

The service is so professional I have a had time believing the reviews that say otherwise.I have enjoyed Capt Daves Dockside at dinner for years but my new favorite time is for Sunday Brunch.It is out of this world, so decadent! Shrimp and grits, peel and eat shrimp, antipasti plate, salads, crabcakes, ham, fish, chicken,cake and pies...ect.The service is always top notch esp Sherri. Also outstanding bloody mary's.

This is my favorite resturant ever....I feel in love with this place from the moment that I walked in the door. The atmosphere of this place is amazing. We had the lobster (which was as large as the plate) and shrimp and grits. The watermelon vin. salad dressing is out of this world. My boyfriend raved about the dressing so much that our waiter actually brought him a container for us to take home. That is what I call customer service. After dinner we walked down to the bar and listen to the band. This was an excellent experience for us. We will go every time we visit MB. ref: 14601

Saturday, March 24 2009 We were a party of 6 ladies and were seated immediately on arrival. There was a pianist playing inthe background and provided a nice atmosphere along w the view of the Inlet. The French onion soup and Shrimp (6 done perfectly) Pesto (on linguine) were excellent. Dessert for me was Bread Pudding w raisins and pecans topped w a wonderful sauce. One lady had the Grilled Salmon salad and another the Wasabi Alaskan salmon that was done perfectly. Hush puppies were new to us and were very good. All this while a thunder storm roared outside and lightning flashed across the inlet. Our waitress was pleasant enough but had seen better days and mixed up our servings several times. This is a beautiful but noisy restaurant, probably due to it's age. All in all, a good experience. ref: 14475

We have been eating at the dockside for many years. My wife and I always thought this was the best seafood restaurant in the area , until several years ago. When they were in the old building , the food was better and prices were more reasonable. We keep going back thinking someone in management will wake up and get their act together. The food is average , at best, the prices are extremely high and service is not good. Seems they are more interested in service alcohol and running the bar next door , than being a great restaurant. Been to Dave's over the years and always had a positive experiance. The entire front of house staff was as wonderful as they could be. Me and my Husband enjoyed a late dinner (8 pm) and sad to say we were the only people in. Having been in the business years ago, I assumed the staff probably was ready to leave, but our waiter was great, He recommended the pan grouper, which I was excited to say it is back on the menu! My only concern is more consitancy is needed in the kitchen, but everything is usually so good. Keep the wild rice! ref: 13802

I am a local and my company used to give out "free dinner coupons" to this restaurant as a sort of reward. My husband and I would rather spend our own money than eat here. In fact...I still have two coupons that will never be used because the two times we tried it (we thought we would give it a second chance since everyone has a bad day and it was free!) the service was horrible...the wait staff we dealt with behaved as if they were "out of it" and bothered by the fact that we were there. And the food was, simply put, terrible. I am writing this because I want to save any vacationers from wasting time, money or an appetite here. You literally couldn't pay me to eat here again!! ref: 13440

Several times I've tried to get seated and they seem very disorganized. The service needs to improve because the good is good and the location is perfect. The staff and service are below average and thats not good enough. I hope management makes appropriate changes. ref: 13406

Visited on Thanksgiving Day '08 at 3:15PM. We were seated promptly and then we sat for 15 mins with absolutley no one acknowledging our existence. We proceeded to leave and upon doing so encountered the hostess and the waitress that had passed by our table numerous times, outside on a small deck to the side of the building, apparently taking a break. We met several people entering as we exited; there was no one to even greet them. The dining room was only about 1/3rd full, so there was no excuse for the lack of service. Went Wednesday to Murrells Inlet for a ride. Selected Daves because the website referred to a Southern Living magazine review that was very positive. My crab soup was a paste with a minimal amount of crab. I couldn't eat it and asked the waiter if my soup was the standard for Capt. Daves crab soup. He replied that it was. My husband had a shrimp entree that was mediocre. Over prices for the quality.

We have eaten there many times over the years and always agree the view and atmosphere is great. As for the food it's just okay. Yeah they have an ok seafood platter and a scallop dinner.....but not for that price! the kids had way over cooked chicken fingers. The hush puppies are great which are free but make no mistake the free hush puppies are priced into the rest of the dinner. I can think of better ways to spend 130.00 . ref: 12534

Dave's Dockside is definately the best restaurant in Myrtle Beach. They serve excellent food, provide professional service, have a wonderful calm atmosphere to dine in, and the scenery is breathtaking. I would recommend this restraurant to anyone. I have been vacationing in Myrtle Beach for more than 30 years and have eaten in many restraurants....Dave's Dockside is the very best! ref: 12276

I visited Dave's this weekend as I was looking for a good, local, fine dining restaurant in Murrell's Inlet and had heard this one was very good. However, this was the most disappointing dining experience I have ever had at a restaurant. When the server brought out my order I at first thought my order had been mistaken for someone else's appetizer. I ordered the Mahi Mahi and got a small piece of fish about the size of a deck of cards along with an ice cream scoop of something that was supposed to be rice which was inedible, and an entire serving of 3, yes THREE, asparagus spears. The food was not good and they charged me $22.00 for this. The only thing that kept this from being considered armed robbery was that the server was not carrying a gun. I won't go back for sure and strongly advise others not to as well. ref: 12022

My family always looks forward to eating at Capt. Daves Dockside. Everyone enjoys their meal and seems to have their favorite dish. That is hard to do with a group of 14! My husband and I had been walking on the Marshwalk and decided 2 go on in and take a look at the menu. We had walked up into the bar area outside and we were greeted by a very enthusiatic young gal by the name of Sasha. She was wonderful! She had told us a few of her favorite entrees and we had then ordered what I would say is the best-tasting grouper I had ever had. My husband and I had the most enjoyable night of our vacation in your establishment with the food you serve as well as having Sasha taking care of us! Since the renovations this place has gone way up in prices and the food is just not that good. When I pay 30+ for an entree it should be very very good and that is just not the case. The service is and always has been slow even before the remodel but at least then the food was good and you got more for your money and the prices were reasonable. Many other better places Murrells Inlet than Capt Dave's.

We were highly disappointed in this restaurant. We decided to try them out because they advertised on the internet a "Lighter Fare Menu." When we were seated and given the menus, we asked for the lighter fare. We were told they just changed the menu, so they no longer served the lighter fare. Because we had senior citizens with us, we asked if management could still honor it since it was still advertised on their web page. They wouldn't do it. When asked if our senior citizens could share a meal, the answer was, "certainly. There is a $5 charge added to the meal for sharing." When we asked for a simple substitution of vegetable, the waitress said she'd check, but they weren't suppose to do that either. At this point I was more than ready to leave, but stayed because our senior citizens didn't feel like going to another restaurant. Although, they did make the vegetable substitution, I highly advice that if you want good food at a reasonable price, go elsewhere. The meals at Capt. Dave's don't come with a salad, so that's extra as well. The next night we went to Lee's Inlet Kitchen where the food is just as good or better, the meals come with a salad and all the hush puppies you want (for no extra charge) and you can share a meal there for no extra charge. Management there is much more accommodating and the whole experience is much more friendly. ref: 11202

We recently dined at daves dockside and were greatly impressed! we were celebrating two anniverseries in a party of ten and were given cards signed by the entire staff. I know larger parties can be difficult to serve but our service was fantastic! our waiter giovanni was knowledgable and attentive to everyones needs. I highly advise this restaraunt for an amazing experience. As a previous employee, I saw every aspect of this restaraunt. Unfortunately, I had to leave the restaraunt to return to school. It is one of the cleanest and most professional enviroments I have ever seen. The view is amazing and the food is great. Although their food is somewhat more expensive, the quality is by far the best in Murrells Inlet. I suggest the scallops or the shrimp & grits. Great season crowds gone. 4 in our party. We walked the boardwalk and were a bit confused about which entry to use. The host graciously opened the emergency exit to let us in. Dining room clean and fresh looking. Dining room has large windows look out on the Inlet and walkway. Waitress arrived quickly but didn't rush us to order drinks.
Menu is both lunch & dinner and provided a wide variety of appetizers, soup, salad and seafood & meat entrees. Several special dishes of the day were announced to us orally. (A pet peeve of mine. Please write them down and tell us the price.) Fried oysters, lightly battered which allowed the full oyster flavor through were served hot (a plus these days) with potato & a nice light Cole slaw. Fellow diners were all enthusiastic about their selections: a lobster salad roll with potato and a leaf lettuce & berry salad, a turkey club sandwich overflowing with turkey and a French Dip sandwich similarly chock full of beef.

Wonderful Restaurant! The food was incredible! I've never had grits for supper much less served with seafood, but they pull it off incredibly well. the watermelon vinegarette was delicious. My main dish was blackened salmon over a bed of grits served with some gravy on top. It was fantastic! My wife ordered the pasta with salmon medallions and her's was equally delicious. She did think the live pianist was a little loud. As a pianist myself I thought he did a great job. I would love to bring my whole family out to visit this restaurant. ref: 8245

My fiance and I celebrated my 40th birthday at capt. Dave's and its was great. We got there a little early and decided to sit at the bar and have a drink and appietizer before time for our reservation. The grilled scallops as the appietizer was out of this world. Also danielle was the bartender on duty that night..... She was a wonderful bartender and she offered to make me a watermelon martini after our dinner for my birthday. We were told about 15 minutes after sitting at thr bar that when we were ready the hostess word seat us upstairs. Mario was our waiter and he was great.....he had a few stories to tell us about the goats out on the island in the marsh. I ordered the lobster and my fiance' ordered the ribeye and fried shrimp....both very good and mario was very professional with his job. Also the staff of the resturant made a birthday card for me and they all signed it for me wishing me a great birthday. I am a local here but my finance' is from new jersey. Have eaten here for the past 2 years.. By far, the best food of any restaurant in the area. My family and I highly recommend their quality food and great atmosphere - check out Decked Out which adjoins the restaurant for more casual dining. Last night, we ate grilled shrimp (excellent), crab cakes (excellent) and new york strip steak (again, excellent). Try the house dressing. Food is in mid 20's range but you will not be disappointed. If you are looking for a tourist trap (aka calabash buffet), this is not what you are looking for! ref: 7495

My husband and I took there my parents who came here from Poland. We wanted to take them somewhere nice, especially that it was my mom's birthday. Their food wasn't so bad, but I ordered a salad and that was quite an experience;)))) Firstly of all, I had to wait for it for a really long time, apporx. half an hour and when it finally arrived, I was truly amazed - a huge piece of cabagge that looked as if it was chopped off with an axe, on the top of it a huge slice of gorgonzola (with sikn and the skin is not edible!!!!) and some cocktail tomatos and small pieces of bacon if I am not mistaken, around it. The view- gorgeous! My husband took me there for our one year anniversary last week. He emailed them and asked to be seated somewhere with a nice view. He also requested a bottle of champagne to be waiting us. They replied quickly and had everything waiting for us. We had a seat upstairs and the view of the marsh was incredible. The waitstaff- His name was Keith and he is a very, very nice guy. He showed us out to the outside bar, he was patient ( we like to wait a long time until we order sometimes.), he was very informative and never neglected us. We couldn't have had a better server! The food- terrible. I couldn't believe it! My husband had a steak that was burnt on the outside. ( I think they chargrill but still!) It had no taste whatsoever. The only thing that was good, was the asparagus. I had mahi-mahi. I haven't had great mahi since my honeymoon in the Cayman Islands last year. I figured since I was going to be experiencing fine dining in a seafood restaurant, I would be safe. Wrong-- it tasted like nothing. It was tough too. Our check was about 125 dollars (champagne was about 30). We didn't think that the money was worth the food. I've had better food at much cheaper prices. When you pay 30+ dollars for an entree, you should expect fabulous food. I really hate to be negative but I just hate for someone else to try to have a really nice evening there and be disappointed in their meal. I could see where someone might enjoy Capt. Dave's Dockside's food but for the price?? Totally not worth it. Like I said, you expect to get what you pay for. ref: 5771

Since re-opening of this restaurant after renovations prices have gone UP while portion size has gone down. It used to be reasonably priced dining in a casual, relaxing atmosphere but now with the grand piano in the lobby, and other fancy furnishings, you feel you are in New York City and the prices reflect it. We ate there in early October and were immediately seated on the porch overlooking the beautiful view. I chose to have the wine flight (white) and was told that the selections would be those not sold by the glass. However, one was their house wine! As I was not really hungry, I selected 2 appetizers and specifically told the waiter that they were to be my entree. Imagine my surprise when, after a half hour wait, one of the 2 apps arrived - for 2. When I inquired about my husband's meal, we were told it was on the way. After I finished the oysters Rockerfeller - which were recommended and were miniscule oysters - my second appetizer arrived, with nothing for my now-starving husband. His finally arrived well after I was finished both my appetizers, which had arrived luke-warm. Our waiter forgot my husband's second beer and only once asked me if I wanted more wine. We have had dinner several times at Captain Dave's Dockside during our two week vacation; with each time more incredible than the last. But for the price and selection, the Sunday brunch far exceeded any buffet line I have ever seen. We enjoyed grilled grouper, fresh shrimp, pastries, made-to-order omelettes, and an array of fresh seafood and traditional breakfast items. (We are from Apalachicola, FL so we know a thing or two about seafood!) My family and I had a great near window seat looking out towards the beautiful Murrells Inlet. Despite there being seven of us, the young man serving us gave an excellent description of the buffet, kept our drinks full and our plates cleared. I sincerely recommend Captain Dave's to anyone in search of a fine dining experiance, or a fully satisfying brunch buffet. ref: 4059

They have to decide what they want to be. The food and service was excellent. Our waitress (Arlene) was a class ahead of most local servers. However, trash the television!! I never saw a television in a fine dining restaurant yet and don't want one here. I can wait until I get home to hear the ball scores. This detracts from the ambiance and causes noise from the bar that interferes with the enjoyment when you are paying $35. for an entree. There is a definite need for this class of dining in Murrells Inlet. ref: 3487

Excellent food prepared by a very talanted chef. The front of the house can have problems with servers depending on the time of year. If you are fortunate to have one of the "old timers" that have bee there for years as your server, you will have a fantastic dining experience. Dockside offers quality food, quality service and a fantastic view of the water. I always get oysters at Capt. Daves. It is my favorite restaurant in Murrell's Inlet and Myrtle Beach. As a local, I am always offended when our guests only choose to comment when they have a negative experience, while not bothering to remember all the good times. Nobody's perfect. Dave's Docksider is still among the best and I am sorry this disgruntled person had his/her flounder not to his/her liking. How was the food for the rest of the party? Our family had visited this restaurant at least once and sometimes twice a year for approximately 20 years. In June 2005 we were in for a rude awakening at our visit. The waiter was inordinantly rude, the manager could not control her waiter and the dinner was a disaster - all over a misunderstanding of how the flounder should have been cooked. It could have been handled so differently but unfortunately it was not. Needless to say we will NEVER eat there again and will NOT recommend this once fine restaurant to anyone. ref: 1807
