The ribeye steaks are mouth watering and the onion rings omg are dangerously good. They have take out too! In my opinion this is cozy, hometown style restaurant. Not flashy, on purpose. Its not for everyone, but I loved it. ref: 28380

I have eaten at billy the kids for years and I will sure tell you that I will be back the waitress was very good and also the atmoshere was great and got the best seafood around make sure you visit the billy the kid when you come to the beach crab leggs and steaks and the best seafood you can eat. ref: 26944

DON'T EVER EAT AT BILLY THE KIDS. I ate there earlier this week and still and grossed out and disturbed by the place. The food was over priced and looked as disgusting as it tasted. For 2 people to eat it was over a hundred dollars and I would have rather flushed that money then put their food anywhere near my mouth again ref: 25420

We usually eat here at least once during our annual get together. I am grandpa and pick up the tab so I like it. Not too expensive. Never too crowded. Food is OK, but nothing special. I was told about this place by another grandpa who didn't like to pay high prices.
As for food, it is mediocre at best and a bit greasy, but as a cheapskate, I can live with that one!

The Restaurant and owners wife would like to apologize to whom ever on this post has experienced a problem with their dinner or service, especially the neighbor down the street. We have always tried to accomadate our customers in their perferable ways they like their dinner cooked. A new customer made me aware of this site and made the statement that we had some dissatified customers with the owners wife. I would like to personally correct this problem if I knew the sitution and who to contact. (843-399-3425)

Don't go there!!! Of course you may like being treated to a night of rude owners and inedible food. In that case please go there but do not complain nicely or otherwise, because they will have to call the police that apparently frequent the place. I have never felt like such a criminal until I brought my family from NY there. They are out of their minds and the food isn't good. ref: 24331

If you are looking for eye appeal or taste or even being treated well, I recommend you go anywhere else!! Recently my husband and I took 6 out of town visitors there and the food came out unrecognizable. When 2 of our guests tried politely to send it back we were told to eat it. The very rude owner came out and told us we would pay for it and that he had called the police. I was in the industry for 25 years and have never seen anything like in my life. There are too many wonderful places in the area to go to ever have to put up with that again. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND GO ELSEWHERE!! ref: 23049

I go to Billy The Kid's anytime I come to the Little River area and for two reason I always have a great conversation with the staff and the main reason I do go is I LOVE the Frog leg. plate w/ hush puppies. I've enjoyed there frog legs time after time.... ref: 22154

Never even got served at this restaurant. We were seated, and waited and waited and waited. Finally we gave up and just left. It looks like these people don't really care if they get return customers. Would NEVER set foot back in this place and I go by it several times a week on my way to other places to eat. ref: 21374

My family and I have eaten at Billy's several times in the past. This was a couple of years ago. The time we ate there is was absolutely horrible! When the server asked me "how was your meal", I said and continue to believe it was the worst food I have ever had in my entire life.
Will never go back when there are so many seafood alternatives in the area.
Try Captain Nance, Seafood Hut, and countless others who complete in the same price range but are superior in quality.
Watch for this one to either survive from one time tourists or bite the dust.

Owner's wife has to be the rudest person I have ever met .There was a problem with are check so the waitress had to send over a manger to resolve the problem witch happen to be the owners wife .She treated us like we where dirt .
I would never go back .
I really hope the owner and his wife read this because you should never judge a book by its cover .You live in a pretty upscale neighborhood .So do I a couple houses down from you. ref: 17402

Typical of many of the lower priced restaurants in Myrtle Beach. It is greasy, but if you have a lot of folks to feed at a lower price, this place is for you. If it were just my wife and myself, I'd not go there. ref: 16279

I moved to the area in September and had been to Billy the Kids once before when I was visiting on vacation. I loved it then and I love it now! The service was excellent. Our server was very pleasant, anticipated all of our needs and even joked around with us. The was great and overall it was a perfect experience. I will of course return and to the others on this page who are so negative- maybe you should try again, maybe they have taken some suggestions or maybe you were there on a bad night. We went to this place on 10/24/08.the waitress was not real friendly but we overlooked that, they are highly overpriced and the food was awful. When we were checking out the hostess asked how our dinner was but when we explained that our flounder had more bones than fillet, she simply continued to ring us up and dismissed our complaint as though she was used to hearing bad reports of their food! save your money and go to taco bell atleast the food is edible !. ref: 13164

Our portions were small, but tasted okay. Our waiter was rude , he argued over root beer having caffeine in it, I questioned the brand because I really don't want my children to consume caffeine. he insisted all root beers have caffeine and more than any cola. He then made an ordeal over my uncle requesting milk with his dinner. He failed to check on us except to hand us our check. Very disappointed and we won't return. ref: 10453

It's tough to give ratings without details so here goes: My wife had Blackened Mahi was good and considered it to be a nice portion. Mom and dad both had the seniors platter with flounder and again it was good. I had the seafood platter with shrimp, flounder, oysters, scallops, deviled crab and substituted fries for onion rings. The oysters, deviled crab, and onion rings were excellent as the other items were average. I was told that they have been in business for 33 years. Who says locals frequent this place? Must be the ones that are not foodies like us! We went on a Thursday night, ordered hamburger steak and a stuffed flounder. How could any cook do wrong with hamburger steak. It was inedible as the gravy too salty. The stuffed flounder was late in serving, and one need a knife to cut into it! Over broiled! The accompanying cole slaw must be left over from the previous night, as there were curds amidst the dressing. The only saving grace was the sole waitress. I took my Mother to Billy the Kid's for her birthday. The first thing after being seated that I noticed was how rude and unprofessional my waitress was. Her poor attitude and customer service continued all night. The food came and went and was nothing really to write home about. The check came, I paid with a credit card and left a cash tip. 2 days later I was doing some online bill paying and noticed they had charged my credit card an extra $30. I am still getting this worked out but I suspect the waitress, unsatisfied with her 15% tip made it an even 35% tip by placing an unauthorized $30 charged on my card. I have contact the CC company and they have advised me on the matter. The long and short of it is this, if you must eat here, pay close attention to your credit card statement. It seems there is atleast one waitress in this resturante who thinks nothing of stealing money. ref: 7275

We visited Billy the Kids for the first time last year. We ended up going back again before we left. We loved the people and the food was excellent. We tell everyone about it. Recently ate at Billy the Kids with a friend while I was on vacation. I ordered a Seafood Platter while my friend ordered the BBQ Plate. The Fish was undercooked, the scallops were cold and it said it came with hushpuppies but couldn't find any on my plate. The BBQ plate my friend ordered was one of the worst looking things I have ever seen served in a restaurant. It had no sauce, didn't come with any bread, and looked like it was just old and had been sitting around a while. Glad I didn't taste it. We were so disgusted that we almost sent our food back. The service wasn't any good either. I would avoid this restaurant at all costs. ref: 4326
