My family and I went to Le Grande's last month while on vacation. We have come to Myrtle Beach for the past 5 years and this was our first time visiting Le Grande's (I believe it was fairly new). As a frequent restaurant goer, I'd say Le Grande's is in the top 10 restaurants I've dined in. Personally, I ordered the wedge salad, which was very fresh and crisp, as well as large. As my entree, I ordered some sort of surf and turf dish with lobster and steak. The lobster was good. The steak was excellent, cooked as I had requested, and flavorful (much better than the steak I ordered at Greg Norman's the night before). My brother ordered the bottomless crab legs, and I think almost every ten or fifteen minutes our waiter brought out another plate of crab legs for him. I don't remember exactly what my parents ordered, but everyone had a very satisfying dining experience. Service was good as well. You can make reservations online, but make sure your whole party has arrived, or they will not seat you. I personally did not find this to be an issue because we do the same thing at the restaurant I work in. The lighting is a bit bright, but other than that, no complaints! Would eat here again.

My husband and I were seated immediately at a great table outside on their covered patio. Waiter was very good. Food was delicious! Coconut Fried Shrimp and Salmon were really good. I did ask for a switch of their sides and couldn't do it; which seemed silly. Spinach and Artichoke dip was very good. Would definitely go back again.

We eat out a lot, and this is, perhaps, my favorite place. Excellent. It is a bit pricey but certainly, one side is enough for two. We ordered the salmon, each time we have been there with the spinache salad and one side for the two of us. The salmon comes with potatoes. Plenty to eat. The other couple ordered steaks and they were equally satisfied. I saw a couple bad reviews written. They certainly suprised me. Of course, we go to dinner early, around 5:00-6:00, perhaps that could make the difference.

Sat May 24 at 7pm three us came for dinner. Service was inept as we had to ask for salt and pepper, water twice and more dressing twice. To add insult to injury, they brought out my Snow Crab still frozen. Couldnt wait to have them recook it as one of my guests had a flight to catch. I went without dinner due to their ineptitude. There are many good restaurants in NMB and MB so avoid this dump.

Salmon w/cheese and lump crab topping was more like undercooked fish with a pasty sauce (no crab pieces to be found). The taste was terrible but the ladies who ordered it tried to eat the meal (they were trying to put a good face on the "night out"). We should have alerted the waiter and had the entree changed immediately (alas, we did NOT). We got home and the 2 ladies got sick (threw-up). We called the restaurant and were told by the manager "it was not their fault" and he was only defensive and rude. The taste / appearance of the meal seemed to be the cause of our discomfort but the manager made no attempt to address our concerns. The waiter offered to waive his tip (we had told him about the Salmon at the table) but we did not want to punish him (maybe we should have!). The steak (filet) was marginal (poor commercial property) obviously less than Choice grade. We are NMB residents and have asked all and ANYONE we know (or meet) to avoid the Le Grande experience (sounds like a joke, but it is not!) !

This was my first time dining at leGrande. I was very pleased with the service and food. I had the halibut which was cooked to perfection and extremely fresh and tasty. I do agree with the other reviews regarding the price of the halibut. It is definitely high; but I do not have an issue paying a high price as long as it is worth it. I would definitely try this restaurant again. As for the salad, worth the money and excellent.

We had a party of 11 for dinner and were treated like royalty. Starting with the hostess, Louise, whom I made the reservations with, promising me a wonderful dining experience. We were not disappointed. We started at the beautiful bar where Seth served us all drinks while we visited and caught up. We were then seated and served by Brian who was so attentive. The manager checked on us several times to make sure all was going as promised by Louise. The food was excellent, from the steaks to the alaskan king crabs. The rolls were fabulous. My husband and I are locals and he has been here several times, never to be disappointed. Everyone enjoyed themselves and we want to thank the wonderful staff for the evening.

I wish i could put zero stars for this place. My girlfriend and i went to legrands during our ten day vacation to myrtle beach. We had a buy one get one free entree which seemed to be a good deal. Yea right! They charge you 20% gratuity for using it. We got ripped off. They had the worst service for a high class steak house ive ever been to. Including ruth chris and new york prime in myrtle beach. This place had no bus boys to fill up water or clean tables the waiter had to do it all. She maybe refilled our water glasses 2 times the whole night my girlfriend and i almost left just to get some water at one of the shops. The food was way below par for the price. The ceaser salad was warm and had no croutons. The steak was just ok def not prime and worth 40 bucks go to ruth chris it is far better. After we ate our entrees we asked for a dessert menu. Most places have a real menu or a dessert cart. Not at le grands. Our waiter had to tell us each one there was about ten. Pretty hard to remember everything. and not very visually appealing. We just said no and asked for our check. We waited, and waited and waited and waited... Finally after about 35 mins the waiter came back and said he was sorry about the wait he had to get the manager to use the buy one get one free coupon. I felt like arguing the 2o% gratuity cause our waiter was so bad but i just wanted to get the hell out of there. Please stay away from le grands and barefoot landing in General. It is a very depressing place cause half of the stores are out of business. DO NOT GO TO LE GRANDS!!!!!!

My wife and I had a wonderful night here with a group of friends last friday night.Take advantage of there terrific hapy hour that is from 3 til 7 all week. They have a plethora of martinis offerd for only 5 dollars, and happy hour appetizers for 3.50. Bartenders coudnt have been nicer! Jenna and Staceys drinks were works of art.The girls enjoyed there Alaskan chocolate ice martinis, and the guys took advantage of 2 dollar drafts. A few of us sat down for dinner in the dining room and had a fabulous time. Our server Joe geeted us and suggested a few wines that were specially priced. He opened a beautiful bottle of that hewitt cab.A steak flatbread appetizer and salads were almost enough food to not order a dinner. But we did,we coudnt pass on odering king crab legs, on joes suggestion, so we ordered two entree portions of the legs and two blackened king salmon They were fresh from Alaska and you could tell. Amazing flavor! We lived here for 3 years and havnt been to a restuarant with the atmosphere that Legrands provides. Amazing pictures, a divine raw bar, and GREAT FOOD! If you are visiting or a local make sure to dine here!

My wife and I checked out this restaurant after seeing a buy one get one free coupon. The restaurant looks amazing as soon as you walk in and we knew we were in for a treat. Our server brian told us all about the menu and concept of restaurant. Recommened a few things on the menu and we took his suggestions. I must say he was spot on with the wine and food pairings. I ordered the 16oz bone in filet with a boursin and crab topping and wife ordered the king crab legs(both to die for). Everything was top of the line. We do go out for dinner very often and we both agreed that our waiter brian is by far the best that we ever had(request him if poss, wont be disappointed) and one of the best meals that we have had. We will be back soon. 5 stars.

Reserved ahead of time but confusion after arrival. Service was the worst by comparison experienced in Barefoot Landing. The male server was not attentive when we were ordering, eating, nor when we wanted to pay and leave. There were only 4 of us for dinner. We all live in NMB. The server was fast to tell us after we were seated that a two for one was being offered and asked if we were interested; we said yes. Food portions were minimal. Sides were not explained so when I got my plate it only has a piece of fish on the plate and that was my dinner. At the end of the evening our bill reflected a whopping 20% gratuity of the bill. The bill included all food ordered (even the food prices off the menu for the food on the special two for one) and the tax portion. I don't give gratuity for the taxes I have to pay but I had no choice. No wonder the service was so bad- the server already had his tip, and we didn't know it. We will never be able to expect it different in the future because our first experience at LeGrande was our last.

Service was lackluster. We went on a buy one get one free evening. We ordered a soup to share. Other couple ordered a salad to share. Neither order was split in kitchen. Our soup was brought in one bowl with two spoons. Soup was cool. Entree was adequate but nowhere near justifying the $30.00 price. Was not hot. Amount was generous. Presentation adequate. Final insult was 20% gratuity was added to the entire bill -iincluding free entree and tax. Will think long and hard before returning as there are so many really great outstanding restaurants in MB an NMB.

We visited leGrande tonight. What a gem of a restaurant. The martini drinks were fabulous and during happy hour they are only $5. so that is an excellent value. First we had one of those in the bar which is smoke free as is the restaurant. We then had Halibut, which is my favorite fish, so I have had it many many times. The chef did a perfect job. I got it wood fired which came with scallion potatoes, my husband changed his side to the asparagus, which was fabulous. The salads were large and delicious, worth the extra $4. Service was perfect, not over done, but there when needed. If I had to suggest one thing it would be to get rid of the large flower displays that look like a casket should be in between them. If you like food made from scratch, and wild line caught fish like salmon and halibut, I highly suggest this place. We do not eat meat, so cannot tell you about that aspect. We will return, soon!

I love this place. I love all the food I've ever tried here, and the atmosphere reminds me of an upscale NYC or Vegas restaurant. I go back every time I'm in SC. If you love martinis, give this place a try... they also have a great martini menu. Delicious!

It was a nice dinner but way too high priced for the food that was served compared to the local restaurants of equal standing . One of our party of 12 was a vegetarian and was led to believe that vegetarian dishes were on the menu when in fact they were not. The food was good but so saltly it was bearly palatable. The staff stood outsidie and handed out 10% discounts but our waiter took advantage and pretended to give a discount to our most eldlerly member of our party but pocked the discount after a $50 tip!!!! We definitely won't be back next year or any subsequent year. It's too bad because I believe that the owner has a great idea for a classy restaurant and the staff has damaged its reputation.

This restaurant is a welcome addition to the North Strand. The staff is outstanding, very friendly and go out of their way to make your visit a pleasure. No smoking in the building which is welcomed. Those who do want to smoke have a huge and beautifully appointed covered patio to enjoy. Food is prepared as ordered and plentiful. A bit pricey for food and drink in this area, but hopefully the customers will not mind paying extra for outstanding fare. Happy Hour from 4-7 is daily which was well received by numerous patrons during our visit.

Great fish dishes, but a bit pricey for an "amusement park" locale, despite the lake view--you can see swingsets from the lounge! Nice decor and atmosphere, otherwise. Wine list was adequate, if just a little too predictable. Opening this restaurant in Barefoot Landing was obviously aimed at getting maximum diner exposure/traffic, but I wonder if the clientele "leGrande's" would most appeal to will find this location a suitable destination. Nearby "Greg Norman's" has had similar issues, and still often runs discount coupons. "leGrande's" is neither on the ICW nor does it have the same name recognition. Good luck to them, though!
