Review: If you want authentic Italian..this is the place. The owner is from Sicily and it is the best sauce I have ever had. Salad used to be included in the price, but now it is separate, slightly pricely, but if you want excellent food, you pay for it. The staff is excellent also. The owner watches the floor very closely to be sure all his guests have top notch service. My husband and I went for the first time and we had no reservations. We were not turned away. The owner brought out a special table just for us. Awesome...Hats off to a great restaurant!! Now, we go back all the time.

Review: From the appetizers to entrees to deserts this was by far our best Dining experience in N.MB The food was EXCELLENT Our server let us taste three wines before we could decide. Vikki was awesome. We had an unfortunate spill and she was there in two seconds rearranging the table and cleaning up our mess with a smile.

Review: What can I say? If you want a little Italian restaurant with authenticity and a bit of imagination, where the osso bucco melts in your mouth and the chef will adapt to your needs, where the pasta is made right back there, and the staff make sure everything is right without clinging, and the piano player rocks...this is the place. Was so delighted to find it, amidst the chains and strip malls of the area. Surprises in every bite. Steaming hot bread. Great waitress.

Review: We have eaten Italian food at some of the best restaurants in NYC,in Little Italy, Tony Dinapoli's, etc. Vinny at Villa Toscanna is the best chef hands down. When you can make something as simple as a tossed salad taste like the best salad you have ever eaten, that is one remarkable chef. Vinny was the head chef in a 5 star resort in Milan Italy and it shows. The only place on the Beach, and apparently NYC to go for Italian Food. Now if I can only convince him to move North., better yet I'm moving South !

Review: We have been coming to Myrtle Beach for over 20 years for an annual golf trip. While we have eaten at several Italian Restaurants in MB, Villa Tuscana is, by far, the best of them all. From the moment we were seated (which was right away), the wait staff was very friendly and attentive. The food, from the ceaser salad to the entree and the desserts was outstanding. A bit pricey, but well worth it.

Review: Shhhhhh..... Keep this to yourself as I would like it to remIn a local " secret " ... Simply one of the most unexpected culinary treasures in the entire south. We are foodies. We love THE spots like Alenia , French Laundry, Guy Savoy , Daniel ect and don't mind plunking down tuition to dine . It's a rare treat that we stumble on something this delicious and affordable.I've read several reviewers state it's expensive. It's not . What is is however is astonishing in is simplicity and perfection .THE best escargot in the US. Period, Served in a gorgonzola sun dried tomato garlic creme under a fine layer of cheese and lightly toasted breadcrumbs , you will swear you are in Milan . We followed with an amazing veal chop on a sublime Demi glacé that never overpowered the taste and texture of the veal . We also had the chicken stuffed with crab on a herb creme sauce that was to die for . It came with light as air , melt in your mouth angel hair pasta that was obviously made that day . They offer good and yet inexpensive wine flights. The service was excellent and the air was electrified with joyous diners. Unless you eat calabash buffets often you instantly realize the pricing is on the moderate to low side when you think about how delicious and fresh the meal was. Outstanding !!!

Review: Skip the seafood resturants - go to this place! We've figured out the seafood back home is the same as at the beach and for less money, so we will replace our seafood night with another night of Italian at Villa Tuscanna. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this resturant to anyone. EXCELLENT FOOD! The teenagers loved it - even the very picky eater.

Review: My wife and I ate at Villa Tuscanna during a recent visit to MB. It is one of the best places we have ever dined. My wife and I are true "foodies", and we plan our travels very often to dine at restaurants that interest us. Everything was awesome. The Zuppa Di Pesce is one of the best dishes I have ever eaten.

Review: Stopped in on Friday night. Not crowded at all (8:00pm) Had a seafood special, pasta carbonara, and fettucine with chicken. Two salads...hot antipasta, wine, pop, water....$110. for all. Although a pricey place...the food was outstanding!! Wonderful bread with a dipping sauce...excellent. Great waitress.

Review: We have been to Villa Tuscanna a couple of times over the past few years. It was always excellent in all areas. Although the food this year certainly matched the quality of previous visits, the service by a surly and impatient waiter spoiled what otherwise should have been a pleasant return. The waiter was impatient and did not hide well his disrespectful facial expressions. Not appreciated when also handed a non-discretionary 18% gratuity charge. I think next time we'll spend our money where otherwise welcomed.

Review: HORRIBLE! After driving by this restaurant many times and seeing the lot full of cars and reading the good reviews, we decided to give it a try. We were seated at the bar awaiting a table and got a glass of wine. The glass was filthy - not a good start to a meal. When seated, we were served bread and flavored olive oil. Nice. We chose the antipasti to start, again, nice. Entrees ... not so nice. Husband chose the fish special, a grouper. It was a less than quality piece of fish with gristle. I ordered rigatoni with marinara sauce. How can a simple dish like this be prepared so horribly? The following description is LITERAL - with NO exaggeration: The plate came out with 5 pieces of rigatoni served with AT LEAST two cups of an orange colored sauce that looked like campbell's tomato soup. OMG. I was speechless. I couldn't even bring myself to taste it. The server (I felt sorry for her because I think she was as horrified to see this dish come out of the kitchen) said she would take it off the bill and offered to replace it with something else. At this point I wasn't interested in anything else from this establishment. We tipped our server well since none of this was her fault. We will NEVER return and would NEVER recommend to anyone we know.

Review: This was my first visit to Villa Tuscanna. I saw the parking lot full and decided to try it. I was seated promptly and was served a great loaf of Italian Bread with a variety of dipping oils. The salad was crisp, fresh and tasted great. The main course, the shrimp and clams Di Fraivlo, was disappointing. The sauce was was filled with garlic and was bland and while the shrimp was large, the shrimp had no flavor.

Review: My husband had the lasagna and he said it reminded him of his mother's home made lasagna 50 years ago. We shared a gorgonzola salad which was unique and excellent, complimented with the best HOT Italian bread we have ever eaten. My canneloni was excellent. Danny, our waiter who usually bartends, was professional and unobtrusive.

Review: The food at Villa Tuscanna is excellent. I have traveled all over the world and can assure you that the Spaghetti Carbonara is the best I have ever eaten. It is absolutely delicious! Everyone in my party was very pleased with their meals as well. I will say that the atmosphere is not the greatest, simply because the restaurant itself is small. It is often crowded and therefore, it feels a bit claustrophobic. The waitstaff do seem a bit frantic which could in fact be because they are understaffed. That said, we will be back because of the quality of the food.

Review: My husband and I were visiting myrtle beach and staying in the barefoot landing. We decided to go to villa tuscanna for dinner and we were pleasantly surprised! our server greeted us and sat us at a comfortable booth. We ordered a lovely bottle of tuscan wine and our veal entrees were exquisite! the veal rolls is to die for! we had a special request for carpaccio that was not even on the menu....we were in heaven and then we were offered homemade limoncello! what a memorable evening and very reasonably priced. We will definetly go back on our next visit to myrtle beach..

Review: My wife and I and another couple have been selecting one restaurant each week to experience fine dining in the Myrtle Beach area. Tonight we selected Villa Tuscanna because we all like Italian food and had heard that this restaurant was a good one. The service was friendly, gracious and very efficient. The food was excellant. We ordered three of our meals from the specials and one from the menu. All were well presented and very good. We will not hesitate to recommend Villa Tuscanna to our friends and it will go on our list of places to eat on the Strand.

Review: *******Poor Service and under staffed************ We read the reviews and the menu and were excited to try this restaurant. We saw a couple of reviews that complained about them being under staffed. I figured those were instances and we would give it try.

We arrived late, traffic, and arrived at the hostess station.

We had several "waiters" come to the hostess station. But not a single one acknowledged we were there. We waited 10 minutes. No one talked to us. I finally said something to one of the waiters, he said he was a server, he would try and find the hostess. After 5 more minutes, I finally ran into the hostess, she said she was sorry they got busy and she had to help with the bar.

She started to look for a table, it was talking a few more minutes we decided to leave.

On our way out, a couple asked why we were leaving, we told we had been standing at the hostess station for 15 minutes. They left as well.

Take your chances.

Review: Our family has been coming to NMB for a number of years. In my opinion, there are relatively few upscale restaurants to choose from when you drop the kids for a romantic dinner for two. My wife and I have gone here several times now and definitely like this the best. Food is excellent, service is great. Perfect for a night out.

Review: We have been going to Myrtle Beach for about 8 years now and discovered Villa Tuscana 4 years ago. It is one of the dinners our whole family looks forward to on our vacation to Myrtle Beach every year. The food is phenomenal! The red sauce is the best you find anywhere! A little on the higher priced side, but well worth it for the meal you are getting! The staff is always friendly and attentive, this restaurant should be on everyones do not miss list!

Review: I have been a fan of Villa Tuscanna since they opened. They are always upgrading the experience. It is a nice alternative to the standard chain fare. Only complaint - I don't like their Caesar dressing. But they have a decent Carbonara, not the best I ever had but way above the average Alfredo take off. Not the same dish. They can also accomodate larger parties very nicely. I have been there with all size groups from 2-24.

Review: We went to North Myrtle Beach for the first time in April 2007. We love Italian food and tried Villa Tuscanna and fell in love with everthing from the gnocchi with meat sauce, better than my Grandma made! To the Veal Parm, big portions done right! The bread was good, and the desert, Tiramisu was Divine! I had the best Cosmopolitan EVER! We sat at the bar and would highly recommend to all Golfers and vacationers!

We are re-locating to Myrtle Beach soon & hopefully Villa Tuscanna will become our place to go. Staff was friendly, food was delicious, wine was great (we even bought some in CT). I highly recommend this restaurant.

Review: This is the first italian restaurant i've found on the grand strand that is equal to the italian restaurants in new york and boston. My wife and I had one of the specials of the night, veal stuffed with crab meat, artichoke and some other ingredients I have forgotten, over penne pasta, the sauce (gravy) was fantastic. I have been coming to north myrtle beach for 12 years, this is the best italian restaurant on the strand..

My wife and I have eaten here on several occasions and each visit improves over the previous one. If you are a Chicken Parmesan lover, then I recommend the Parpadella Tuscanna. It is my favorite dish! My wife always orders a Seafood Special and is always pleased with her selection. We could not recommend a better restaraunt in the Myrtle Beach area.

We end up not being able to eat it all. I live here and there are few quaility places here -- this one I visit quite often.

It's the BEST, everyone should taste their food at least once, they will go back. Try the Avocado Salad -- Fantastic. Wine list is also great.

Review: I wish I could agree with all these reviews, but I am Italian and I didn't like the food here at all. Even the caesar salad had an oily dressing on it and that was all I could taste in it. I am already turned off a restaurant that wants to charge me for sides. $24+ for a piece of meat or chicken and then I have to pay an extra $5 - $7 for a vegetable to go with it??.give me a break! Italian restaurants have always been famous for giving you more food than you can eat because they take pride in their food. Having to pay for every little thing is not traditionally Italian, sorry. The food was too exotic and not enough good, basic Italian.

Review: Fabuloso!!! My Italian Mama would be thrilled by the amazingly tasteful dishes served in a quaint but elegant setting. A bit pricey but so worth the money! Great place for a romantic dinner.
