We come to North Myrtle Beach a few times a year and we always stop at California Pizza. The food is great and the variety of pizzas is amazing. Some of the prices are a bit high and could be reduced, but overall I’d recommend California Pizza to anyone.

LOVE, love, love this restaurant!!! BEST pizza anywhere!! We look forward to eating there every year. The wait for your food is a little longer but as long as you've had a snack or order an appetizer, well worth the wait. We sit outside and people watch and enjoy the view. Also, fun to walk around and shop a little afterward to help with digestion.

Because you can't eat seafood every night of the week you need a good pizza place. You will not be disappointed with UCP. They have great crust and sauce and they will make it any way you want it. Highly recommend.

My family decided on UCP and we weren't disppointed. We ordered mild wings, and a large "Hollywood" pizza. Although the wings were mild, they were not plain. The wings themselves were smaller than I would have liked, but the sauce was tangy and just right! The pizza was a meat pizza. There is every combo imaginable, so I'm sure they can satisfy any taste. The crust was the best I've had in a LONG time. Although my favorite crust is thin and crispy, UCP crust is a hand tossed variety that melts in your mouth. UCP should be your first and only stop for pizza in Myrtle, I know it will be mine.

My family and I decided to eat here today for lunch. It was a BAD decision. It took over 10 minutes to be seated. Once we were finally seated our server took another 10 minutes to get our drinks and our order. The restaurant was fairly busy, but the staff seemed like they had never worked in a restaurant before. The manager, or the only person wearing a Polo style shirt was a younger looking woman who did nothing but yell and argue at the cook, who appeared to be trying his best. After waiting for about 45 minutes after we placed the order we had not gotten our appetizers. We decided to leave. When we were leaving the manager came up to us and basically told us she wanted us to leave and was very rude. We were not the only people who decided to leave. About 3 other groups of people left at about the same time we did, and another group outside the restaurant said they had just left also. This restaurant looked like it could be a decent place to eat, but it was obvious that the manager was a complete idiot. She did nothing but yell and argue with the employees and was very rude to customers. I would recommend eating elsewhere. .

The Ultimate California Pizza restaurant is very good place to eat with the family. My family goes to myrtle every year and every night we order California Pizza. If you ask me I would recimend it to anyone and everyone. The service is great and you get sat down really quick. The prices are far from outrages. I just love the Ultimate California Pizza!

OK, first off, UCP is not the "best" pizza on the Strand. In truth, there is no "best" pizza on the strand. If the secret to good pizza is the local water, then that is no suprise. On the Strand, all one can hope for is something that is reasonably hot, has good ingredients toppings etc... and if you are eating there, a nice environment. I recommend that if you are going to get one of their pizzas, you eat it at the restaurant itself. The pizza is nothing special. Little dry and lacking in sauce and toppings compared to what you would get at a Pizza Hut (as an example). It is passable, if you eat it hot. Let it sit an hour, and the crust is dried out, and reheats poorly. So, eat here, not to go or delivery. Enjoy the pretty nice ambience (I actually like the outdoor bar at the Barefoot location), and don't expect much. You will not be disappointed.

Great food, Great and very friendly staff. When the waiter was bringing out 1 of the pizzas he accidently dropped some of it off of the pan into the floor, like 3-4 slices. He apologized and they made another pizza free of charge without complaints which is the way it should be. The youngins also loved it. We still have the cups our drinks came in :-). We will be returning when we go back to MB.

A man in one of the "information" booths at Barefoot Landings almost talked us out of trying UCP. I am so glad we did not listen to him. This was our favorite restuarant we went to while visiting MB. My wife and I ordered personal pizzas with the wheat crust. Both of the pizzas were cooked perfectly, and tasted wonderful. The restaurant was clean, and the staff was very friendly. Next time we visit MB we will certainly go there again (possibly multiple times).

I recently ate at this particular restaurant on Sunday 2/21/10. The pizza was very good and the wings were excellent. It is definitely different than your typical paper thin NY style pizza. The pizza had plenty of toppings. If you are a fan of NY/NJ (paper thin, 20", cheap to make) pizza it may not be for you. The pizzas are not too thick nor too thin. I don't think I have ever seen as many toppings to choose from anywhere. The Buffalo chicken pizza is the best I have ever ate. The only problem with this store was the waitress, "Steph". She spent more time in the bathroom than at her tables. She was shaking and had white powder in her nose. Go figure! The other waitstaff appeared to be very friendly and took really good care of her tables. Other than that this place is great.

I ate here with my mom and brother in October. It was still nice and we were able to eat outside. We had a very pleasant server. We had a specialty pizza and it was great. We had special ordered it because it came with onions and we asked them to be left off (brother...). The pizza was made with the onions and we were given it at no charge, along with the one as ordered. Additionally we had a $2 off coupon from one of the coupon books available around town. I have also had pizza and salads delivered and always found the food to be of high quality. UCP is considered the best pizza in the area and their customer service policy certainly ranks high as well. I highly recommend food from this establishment.

Actually, I had a wonderful pizza delivered to my room, and did not eat in the restaurant.....but there's not a "N/A" choice in the ratings! Anyway, the pizza was fantastic, and just exactly as I ordered it. When it arrived, it was very hot, and was delivered 10 minutes sooner than they told me it would be. I was VERY impressed with the food, the service and the overall, first-time experience with this restaurant. I highly recommend it, as a great tasting, high-value for the money!

Ordered carryout on a Tuesday evening. Got to restaurant to pick it up, and could not figure out where to go, and no employees to be found. Took several minutes to wander thru, then had to stop a delivery driver to ask where to pickup at. Pizza was good, but nothing spectacular, I'd compare it to Domino's or the like. Not as good as Papa John's. For the higher prices, not worth it.

The pizza is nothing special. We are from NJ and we know good pizza. This isn't it. The crust is not crust at all. This crust is doughy and not crispy at all. We decided to try Cali Pizza after reading these reviews. Don't bother! We were there on Monday, July 20, 2009, at 8pm. The noise level inside was loud, very loud. We ordered some wings and a pizza. The wings were good but the pizza was not.

This was delivered so i just put average on everything that didn't apply. But this particular pizza delivery service was AWFUL! I called and ordered, and was told it would be about 45 minutes for our order. I was still waiting at an hour an 45 minutes later! Finally after a little over 2 hours the food finally arrived. It was cold and dried up, they had forgotten some of the order, it was just horrible. I'd advise you to order from ANYWHERE but this place.

As many have already said, this is the best pizza on the Grand Strand! We had it delivered to our condo two years ago and enjoyed it very much. This time we decided to go check out the place, we were greeted by a very friendly hostess and seated right away. A waitress, also very friendly, greeted us, and was paitent with us while we tried to make up our mind on toppings, as an appetizer she recommended the Jack Bread which was very good. The pizza came extremely fast and was very tasty. I highly recommend this UCP location to anyone in the mood for pizza.

We did not visit the restaurant proper, but did order for pizza to be delivered to our Caribben Resort condo. It was absolutely perfect in every way. Even all of my picky eater grandchildren loved it. We definitely will be ordering delivery of this pizza again on our next MB vacation trip. Oh...this past trip was in August, 2007....we will be visiting again in August, 2008.

Called in a delivery order and it arrived in about 35 mins (very good considering they said 40-60 mins). Opened the box about 5 mins later and it was the wrong pizza. Ordered extra cheese and it had green peppers instead of the extra cheese. Would have been OK if you don't like cheese on your pizza. In other words - order extra cheese or you'll be eating crust and pizza sauce! I called and the manager was very nice, apologized and said he'd send the correct pizza right over (only 2-3 miles). After an hour I called and they said it was on it's way. It arrived 1:15 after I called about the error. The 2nd delivery guy found me waiting in the hallway (I wanted to be sure he found me because we were starving by now) and he said "don't blame me" very defensively before I had a chance to say anything to him - I knew it wasn't his fault. I told him I didn't blame him but that I wasn't breaking the last $50 I had for a 2nd tip and he should tell his manager he needs to compensate him. He got smart and told me not to worry about it - it was his gas, and he didn't expect anything. The correct pizza tasted OK but was cold and had to reheat it. First and last experience there!

Our waitress was very nice and the pizza tasty. This is our 1st trip to the Myrtle Beach area and have been disappointed that practically all of the restaurants are overpriced chains especially Senor Frogs which was probably the worst restaurant in the world. If we want really good pizza, we have to go to NJ where the dough, cheese and toppings are the best we've ever eaten.

Some of the above ratings don't apply to us, as we ordered delivery to our room on two occasions. The first was Sunday, Setpember 16, 2007 at 7:30 PM, the second was Friday, September 21, 2007 at 2:00 PM. We ordered twice from UCP last year, but mistakenly neglected to write a review when we did our reviews. We have never had a bad experience here, and are consistently pleased with the food. On all 4 occasions last year and this year, we ordered the Hummus Dip. It comes with flatbread and an assortment of vegetables, and we have always been very happy with it. On our first order this year, I went with the Personal Moon Doggie, which has Roasted Chicken, Artichoke Hearts, and Tomatoes along with nice cheeses. Excellent, excellent pizza. My wife ordered the Berkley, which is a vegeterian pizza with green olives. She was a little uneasy about how the green olives would taste, but she reported it tied everything together nicely. Second order, I went with an Italian Hoagie, and she stuck with the Berkley. The only thing I was disappointed in was the lack of meat on the Hoagie. In Sinking Spring, the subs shops load you with the meat and the veggies. UCP did not. But overall, we always and hope to continue to be pleased. Norm and Eve Connors Sinking Spring, PA

This is by far my favorite pizza place. We always stay at Dayton house Resort, which is right behind CP. We eat it for lunch everyday. My wife and daughter stay in the pool while i order and walk over and pick it up. They give you everything you need to eat outside, plates, forks, napkins, parmesan, crushed red pepper, etc..Dayton House has the best lawn with umbrellas in Myrtle Beach.really fun to eat GREAT. Pizza under an umbrella on the oceanfront. I am taking my little girls bestfriend and my buddy with us in August. Can't wait to show them how it's done. BTW I tried the CP Express in Concord NC. It tastes like frozen pizza.never compare the two. For some reason the CPs in South Carolina have a different website than all the other CPs.

There are a number of pizza places in MB, but once you try UCP you won't go back! This is always our first stop with many more along the way. You can finally order pizza the way you want it, different crust and sauce options, and sizes to fit every family from personal to large. We like the whole wheat crust and can't get it back home. Our family agrees that these are the best wings we have ever had -- and yes we have been to Buffalo, NY! We have a second home in MB and are here quite often. Whether we are here for a weekend or a week, we ALWAYS come here. You won't be disappointed and it will be your family's favorite too! Pickup and delivery available.

Every year we go get some wings and pizza and UCP. It is the first place we eat to be honest with you. My husband usually starts talking about it anytime someone mentions Myrtle Beach :). Getting ready to head that way the end of July and I can already taste the wings yummmmmmmmmmm.

I notice that most people who gave high ratings for this restaurant are not from pizza country (NY/NJ and the surrounding areas). As a transplanted Italian New Yorker who knows good pizza, I can tell you this is not it! It might be fine for southerners or mid-westerners, but most New Yorkers I believe will be dissapointed, as I was. We may not know our barbeque the way some do, but we know good pizza.

We always make this the first stop on our trip to Myrtle Beach and the last stop before heading home! It's wonderful. We all (8 of us) got T-shirts last year and everyone around home asks us about them...we do lots of free commercials! Try it - you won't be disappointed!

My mom and I go to the Barefoot Landing Location and I always have the create your own pizza with something different on it. I am never disappointed! They have excellent service and the noise level isn't too bad either and we usually sit near the bar! I highly recommend this place for a family friendly, gourmet pizza outlet!

This is the best pizza chain ever on the planet earth. We have an express store here in charlotte,nc but they do not compare to the real thing. The first time we ate there we had to go back for the next three days of our vacation. Everytime we vacation in mrytle beach it is a must that we eat their at least 2days out of our vaction. We really need one closer to home because i think about it all the time. The jack bread is awesome. Everything is so fresh. Keep up the good work

We ordered pizza to our camper. It was wonderful. Every bite was eaten. The mild buffalo wings were AMAZING!!! We only wished that we had ordered more. (There are 10 in an order) The cheese pizza was perfect. The meatlovers pizza was also well received. The food was delivered to our campsite on the exact minute that we were told it would arrive. (45 minutes from the time of the order.) The driver was very courteous. We were very pleased overall. We will make this a routine stop on our vacations in Myrtle Beach from now on! I will recommend this restaurant to my friends!
