Review: Twin Lakes has become a family favorite for the past five years on our yearly vacation to Ocean Isle -- we much prefer the food to any restaurants that we have ever eaten at in Myrtle Beach. The hush puppies are great, and the menu is extensive. Great variety and selection. The atmosphere is unique, but it is family friendly and accommodating to large parties. Highly recommended!

Review: We arrived late in the evening and expected minimal service, but we were extremely satisfied by our entire dining experience. We were seated promptly, and the waitress gave us superb service. The meal was exceptionally delicious down to the hushpuppies. We highly recommend this restaurant. We sat outside on the deck and had a chance to see the bridge in action; this added to our pleasant dining experience.

Review: We visited Twin Lakes mid vacation of our June 08 trip to Myrtle Beach. We had stayed in Sunset Beach years earlier and had dined here then as well. The first trip to Twin Lakes should have prevented me from returning, but our co-travelers wanted to go and it was their turn to choose our dining location. The first trip was years back, and all I remember is a seafood dish making me feel so ill I spent almost a half hour in their restroom after dinner! This trip, I stayed away from seafood, as did my husband. We were seated immediately, a party of 8. The waitress was attentive, probably since it was not too crowded there. The place did look recently painted and the view of the sunset beach bridge is a nice view. The hushpuppies they serve got mixed reviews at our table, but I felt they were basically tasteless. We researched their menu on their website before going and many in our party were planning on ordering their lobster and steak surf and turf. Well - they don't even offer lobster. They lured us in with a surf and turf with lobster, steak, clam chowder, salad, veggies and potato, for $29, and we get there and they have no such offer, or even any lobster! Their surf and turf was now crab legs and rib eye, a choice of potato or veggies, no salad or soup. I ordered the chicken brest, wanting to minimize any potential stomach upset. Can not really complain about the chicken, it was grilled and tasted like chicken. But my husband ordered the rib eye, and it was basically a slab of fat, for close to $18. He tried to eat around it, but that left nothing left for him to eat! He said since he had to pay $18 he was going to eat it anyway. The rest of our party had senior dishes, and they were reported to be "okay". I would highly recommed that you do not order the rib eye. If you want to pay $13 for chicken breast and a potato, you will be safe, but not really my idea of a great dinner out. On vacation I would like to enjoy a meal that I do not usually order around home. This was not one of those meals.

Review: We have eaten at Twin Lakes many times and have never had a bad meal. The seafood is always fresh and the hush puppies are the best we have ever had. Love the honey butter. It would not be a trip to the beach without eating at Twin Lakes.

Review: Each year that we have visited the Garden City Beach area we have made a trip at least once during our visit to Twin Lakes Seafood RestAurant just before Sunset Beach across the North Carolina State Line. On our first visit to the Myrtle Beach Area we were hungry for raw oysters and journeyed to the Calabash area. A decent looking restaurant we tried actually served low quality oysters placed in phony oyster shells. Yuk. H0wever, after finding a menu for Twin Lakes Seafood Restaurant at the condo we were able to wipe out the previous bad experience, not associated, but in the same general area. The food; at Twin Lakes was always superbly delicious, fresh and pleasing to the palate. Their deep sea scallops are perfect as are all the entree's we have tried there. If driving from the Myrtle Beach area allow a 45 minute to an hour drive that is well wqrth the trip. The desserts will make you want to cry over their richness and perfection.
