Tripps is now Caprazzi. It's part of the T-bonz / Rioz restaurant family. It's been open for about three months. I stopped in last night to have a look around. The hostess showed us around and was vary pleasant. She explained the service, and showed us the salad bar/entree table. We will be returning soon for dinner.

We went to Tripps on a whim, walking down Broadway. We were seated immeditely, but we were there out of season 6/22/10. Waiter was very nice, had a long conversation with our daughter about her new animal she had just built at Build a Bear. We had a table of 5 and we all ordered different kinds of steak cooked a variety of ways. We waited about 15-20 mintues for our food, average time for steaks probably. They were all cooked as specified and tasted WONDERFUL!!! Best steak I have ever eaten, Price is a little higher but the food is so good you dont mind paying. We will be sure to go to Tripps for our steak dinner next time we are in Myrtle Beach.

I stumbled onto Tripps when everywhere else at Broadway at the Beach was on a 2 hr. wait. We got seated within 20 min. Or server Shawna, was not only knowledgeable about the menu and preparations, but also extremely well versed about wines. We were impressed with the 29.99 surf & turf price, but skeptical of the quality. As it turned out, the filet was tender enough to cut with a fork, the lobster was the perfect size, and the Meritage she suggested was the perfect compliment. For the money spent, I was well impressed with what this small town eatery had to offer. As far as I'm concerned I got lucky by looking around.w

Tripps has always been one of my favorite restaurants but after a recent experience I doubt I will ever go there again. One of my favorite meals was the salmon sandwich, as Tripps was always known for fresh fish. My sandwich was terribly bland and I couldn't even finish it. The prices continue to go up and the quality continues to go down. Over the years it went from excellent food and service and prices, to maybe having one thing come out wrong. Then one thing coming out wrong with bad service. And judging by the reviews on this site they will be out of business before long.

My husband and I were looking for a place for lunch and a woman at an information both recommended Tripps. She also gave us a coupon for a free shrimp cocktail. We gave the coupon to the waiter and he came back with a wonderful shrimp cocktail. (6 very large shrimp in a wonderful presentation.) I also had the $4.00 margarita, which was huge and delicious. We both ordered salads, I had the Oriental chicken and my husband had the chicken cescer. They were both delicious. We will return on our next visit to the area.

Tripp's was terrible. My wife and I stopped and asked for a table and were told it would be 10 to 15 minutes. 45 minutes later we were still waiting while people who came in after us were being seated. Very poor service and I will take my business elsewhere.

TRIPPS at Broadway at the Beach is by far the best restaurant in Myrtle Beach. The service is A1 in particular our server, Billy. We are from Philly and have enjoyed his hospitality and suggestions on what to eat. The quality of food is excellant believe me because I eat my steak rare yes...moooooooo. All of the people working there have been courteous, polite, and willing to help with just about anything. The mangers can be proud of the staff and the five star rating I have provided. My wife and I have bragged about TRIPPS to the everyone we meet on the east coast. Keep up the great service and food, and offer more special dishes and better values. (Philly, Pa)

Let me start by saying this, there is a first for everything. Tripp's was the first place we ate on our first trip to MB. What a first... We where looking for a place to eat steak me and my wife and did we find a good spot. She ordered the Rib Steak and I chose the Filet Mignon with Blue cheese sauce. First a draft... I almost got drunk with my 1 glass... LOL sooooooo big........ Food was fantastic, service was great, but to be fair, we were before rush hour on a sunday night. Huge plate, huge drink, small bill. $60 including tip WOW. Will go again this summer, no question about it.

We have been coming over to Myrtle Beach for over 5 years and we always look foward to eating at Tripps, because we love the chicken cordon bleu. We are getting ready to come back the 1st full week in June and can't wait to come over there to eat. We have only had to wait a few minutes to be seated and every person we have had as a watress or waiter have been real nice. See you soon. Vickie Kear Sevierville, Tn.

I am a mother of three with little income. My middle daughter went to the beach with her youth group this past weekend. When she returned home, she was upset. She told me that she didn't have enough money to do some of the activities that the rest of the group was doing. This confused me since I know that I sent enough with her. I reviewed her receipts when I came accross TRIPPS #14. I was furious. My daughter is only twelve years old. She doesn't eat much. She ordered an appitizer of hot wings, and a steak. Her bill came out to 34.92. To add insult to injury, the water added a tipp to this twelve year olds bill, making the total $40.16. I can feed my intire familiy on this amount at other resteraunts. The waiter was RICK and the server number was 54. This info is just in case TRIPPS feel like they need to better themselves. I was a waitress at one point. I would never expect a tipp from a twelve year old, and I know when a twelve year old is ordering an appitizer and not an antre. The reason the bill was so much is because the server rang up a meal instead of an appitizer for my daughter on the wings. Does anyone out there think that a twelve year old can eat two meals in one sitting? This is totally rediculous. We will never visit this resteraunt. Taking advantage of a little girl is too much. I would like this waiter to know that you managed to destroy my childs trip with her youth group and you caused her to miss out on a learning experience as well. I hope that you are proud of yourself.

We stopped at Tripps while looking for a place to eat and was seated within 15 minutes. the food was good, but my "medium well" NY Strip steak was actually "rare." I pointed it out to our server and he was apologizing and they removed my entree from the bill. Other than that, it was a nice meal for my family while vacationing at MB. A little noisy however.

I see some negative reviews, so I am not sure if mgt has changed. My wife and i ate their on 5/15 and had a wonderful experience. I ordered the prime rib and she the Filet. Both were cooked perfectly. I eat at both ruths chris and mortons a few times a year, and would say that these steaks rivaled theirs at half the price. After being taken by several awful restaraunts in the area (giant crab and grandmas) It was nice to get value for the money. The waitress was wonderful as well. Will go back next year!

Ate there about 3:00 PM this afternoon, March 14, 2009. Got lunch menus (3 of us) upon arrival; requested dinner menus. Ordered two 14-oz. ribeyes, medium, and one 6-oz. filet off lunch menu. My husband's ribeye was medium rare but edible; my ribeye was almost raw and not edible --my husband said he was sending mine back, so he did. The waiter said the manager would be bringing it back, and she did. It was cooked to medium well (which was fine) but it was tough and not very tasty. Most of my steak I left on my plate along with most of my mashed sweet potatoes because they were served almost cool in temp. The salad and bread were only things good. My mother, as usual, ordered her filet well done, which has NEVER been a problem anywhere else. I mentioned to waiter one part was 'very hard' and he said it was supposed to be since we ordered it well. When the waiter took my nearly full plate at the end of the meal he did not bother to ask how our meal was. To add insult to injury, on top of paying above average prices for our meals, we were not even offered any discount for my steak. I blame all this on the fact this is a resort restaurant; nevertheless, Tripps is one of several restaurants in M.B. that has been put on our 'never visit again' list. Good job, Tripps -- alienating a customer in poor economic times! My husband said to add "keep up the good work!"

We ate at Tripps on Tuesday, September 2 (I think I have the date right). We arrived late but they were still open. Had a great waitress, "Lisa". I was concerned about being late and she assured us it was fine. I had Ceaser salad with salmon and my husband had steak, food was great. Lisa was so great, very personable. You don't always find a waitress like her. We have been here before but she made it a much better visit.

My husband and I tried Tripps for the first time last year. My sister told us about it and highly recommended it to us. We had the steak and it was out of this world. House salads were excellent and drinks were just right. Service was wonderful ~ not too pushy but always available. We visited towards the end of our stay at Myrtle Beach and only went the one time, but we're due back in two weeks and that will be the first place we go for dinner. I'm sure we'll hit Tripps several times before the end of our stay. Why take chances at other places when you know this place is so good. The prices are also excellent and you get a lot for the money!!

Upon expecting something decent, we were nothing but dissapointed in Tripps Restaurant. Although we were seated quickly, it's appeal quickly dropped soon after. Ordering drinks was smooth, until we were brought drinks that we hadn't asked for. These had to be taken off the bill. Then it came to ordering. The selection was somewhat limited, and our party had trouble deciding. The waitress seemed stressed or impatient, and poorly paid attention. One of our party ordered an end cut, which the waitress said could only be prepared med-well to well. This was good as that was how she preferred it. When she got the steak, it was less than medium and bloody. Another in our party ordered a baked potato with their order, but got fries instead. When we ordered a different sauce with chicken that was ordered, we failed to get that too, although the waitress said it was "no problem". We won't be going back.

We waited one hour before we were seated on a Wednesday evening. This restaurant advertised a Prime Rib special on this night, so after the long wait we were very hungry, only to be told they were all out of the Prime Rib. Then we ordered the fried shrimp which were to be "Jumbo" size, but when the order came, the shrimp were far from Jumbo! You had a choice of potato with the shrimp for $17.49 and if you wanted a salad it was $2.99 extra. For my money this place is definitely not worth the wait or the price! The food would just be average if rated.

I will not visit the place again. We had a party of 7 adult. 4 Adults ordered the same meal, the chicken and penne pasta. The first time it came out cold, the manager took them back to make "new plates" 20 minutes later, we were told they were out of penne and could use angel hair pasta. While the other 3 ate, we all watched a bug climb the wall. about 20 minutes later (40 minutes after the first meals) the pAsta dishes came out. The manager did remove the 4 pasta dishes, but nothing else from the bill

My husband and I have been going to Tripps now for over 3 years whenever we visit Myrtle Beach. We recently went down for 4 nights and took our 3 children, ages 5,4 & 1. Our waitress handled everything well, most would not want to wait on a family with 3 small children. HOWEVER, we will NEVER go back there again!! First of all, we didn't get the salads that went with our meals. When my husband told her about it all she said was that it was a shift change and you know how it goes when you hire young kids. And a, oh I'm sorry. However, when we got our bill we were still charged the full amount. I told my husband they ought to at least knock $5 off the bill. I took the children out so he could pay. She said they should've taken it off the bill, when my husband told her they didn't she didn't even offer anything!! My husband then asked to speak with the manager, he told her that we felt we should've at least gotten something knocked off our bill, a gift certificate or something. She then proceeded to go in the back speak with a couple other waitresses then came back out, told my husband the manager had gone to the bank and the gift certificates were locked in the safe. She told my husband that she would get in trouble for this. So, we got charged and paid for 2 salads that we didn't receive. The steak's weren't as good as usual either. My husband's was very salty and mine was burnt and I asked for it to be cooked medium well. Needless to say, WE WILL NEVER EAT AT TRIPPS AGAIN!!

My husband, 2 year-old and I stopped in for a casual lunch and were disappointed to say the least. Though the service was friendly there were some serious problems with the delivery and quality of our food. The calamari took quite some time to come to the table and though very flavorable the topping was too wet and saturated the breading creating a soggy mess in the center of the plate. The steak caesar salad was horrible! The overcooked steak was full of gristle and silverskin and was cut into an extremely varried range of sizes before it was placed onto the wilted and soggy salad. The server told us there were some problems in the kitchen and removed the calamari from our bill without us having to complain. Since there are so many choices of similar style restaurants in Myrtle Beach that I don't think we would chance it to return after this experience.

We have vacationed in MB for the last 6 years and this was the first time we ate at Tripps. We wish we had discovered this restaurant years ago. The food and service was excellent. My son and I had the ribs and they were the best ribs we ever had. My husband had the 22 ounce ribeye and he said it was delicious-one of the best steaks he ever ate. We arrived a little after 5 and got seated right away. This is now one of our favorite restaurants in MB.

This is my absolutely favorite restaurant at Myrtle Beach (or anywhere else!). We eat here every year TWICE on our vacation. The first time we eat I order the Ribeye, then second time we eat here I order the Prime Rib. Both are always delicious. If I could eat one steak a year, it would be at Tripps on Broadway. The food is consistently perfect. Never a tough steak! The service is always very good and the restaurant atmosphere is awesome! My children love it at Tripps. Perfect service and food.

We are locals who eat at Tripps often. My husband thinks they have the best sauted mushrooms on the beach. I work at a hotel near BATB and recommend this resturant to guest all the time. In three years I have never had a guest come back and complain about Tripps.

The food at Tripps was fantastic! Everything was served hot and the fried calamari was the best I ever had. The service was good but a little overzealous. Upselling was a little overdone and we felt very rushed. The waitress was showing us desserts when I still had half of my meal in front of me. We had young children with us (1 and 2) and they very easily accommodated them. We would definitely go back!

After coming to Myrtle Beach for years, we finally tried Tripps. I don't know what took us so long. Definitely the best steak we've ever had in Myrtle Beach. We each had the filet; each was cooked perfectly, even my husband's which was ordered medium-well. The service was very good too. The only negative I found at this restaurant was the music. It was way too loud; so loud that we could not comfortably hold a conversation.

You must visit this restaurant!!! This is the only restaurant where I receive wonderful service and excellent food on a consistent basis. After few years of bad luck eating out in Myrtle Beach on my vacations, finally I found the place, where I can take out my family and friends and be sure that Tripps will make our night even better. You have to try their calamari and steaks - they are the best you have ever had. This place has become so regular that my kids are always asking me if we are going to see Jeff again, who is one of the managers there and who always takes care of us.

The best restaraunt in the Myrtle Beach area. Outstanding food, drinks (try the "Razerita" frozen) and service. I wish there was one in California.

Stopped in for appetizers and a beer. The fried calamari is unique, tender, and delicious. The warm sourdough bread and dipping oil was also a very nice touch. Our server/bartender Deadra was a delight. We've already decided to eat dinner here durring our next trip to Myrtle Beach.
