On a wonderful vacation to Maui, my husband and I ate at Tommy Bahamas in Wailea. What an experience! We were treated like royalty even on a busy night! Likewise here. The atmosphere is relaxing and the food is scrumptious! It will always be one of our favorite restaurants!

Our experience with this restaurant began when we called and asked for reservations. When we got to the restaurant, we realized that this wasn't necessary because there weren't very many people there. It may be more crowded in the summer, but it wasn't bad at all in March. Next, our brunette hostess showed us to our seats. We had a person in our party in a wheelchair, and the restaurant was very good about taking the wheelchair for us. Next, our waitress came to the table. She had a waitress-in-training with her who smiled the whole time and didn't say anything. The waitress gave us a long explanation about the menu and the specials. She took our drink orders and gave us time to decide on our orders. Two of us ordered the Cabo Tacos and the other ordered the Fish Sandwich. While we waited for our order, one of us went and shopped at the shop. The other two of us sat and listened to the live music from the bar. The one who was shopping didn't like the wrinkles in the sweatshirt she was buying, and the saleswoman offered to steam it for her and bring it to the table. After a short wait, our food got to the table. The Cabo Tacos were excellent, but a little spicy. The plantains that came with them were amazing as well. The Fish Sandwich was whale-sized, but very good. The service was great, they were always refilling our drinks. The atmosphere was terrific and the sunset magical. After our dinner, we got a free dessert because we had a coupon from the Marriott. The dessert we ordered was the Brownie. The brownie and the whipped cream it came with were scrumptous, but the ice cream had no taste. All in all, the restaurant was great and we will definitely go again. ALSO, a fun thing to try: Put a small piece of food on your side plate (anything, a slice of orange from your tea, a bun from your sandwich, whatever) and see how long it takes for a waiter/waitress to take the plate away. The service is so good they'll take it within minutes!

Not only is this a beautiful restaurant, the service and food do not disappoint. My husband and I went for lunch on Sunday. It was gloomy and cold outside and the restaurant provided a nice sanctuary with its comfy booths and pillows (yes, pillows) to lounge against if we so desired while we enjoyed our meal. The Bloody Marys were great as were the Coconut Shrimp with asian slaw. The Cabo Tacos were phenomenal! We will make this haunt a must on every trip to the beach!

Tommy Bahamas is a very attractive restaurant with a unique menu. The fresh fish (especially the tuna) is first rate with a great presentation and very interesting sauces and spices. Our group of six all ordered different main courses and all raved about the meal we had. Interesting cocktails and great desserts. The service was very friendly and we were never rushed throughout our meal. Definitley worth a visit for dinner

I went to Tommy Bahama's not knowing what to expect from the Market Commons. Let it be known that I was wildly surprised and taken aback by the professionalism of the knowledgeable staff from the hosts to servers. I ordered a sanibel stuffed chicken due to a recommendation from our asian server named Ben, it was fantastic. My wife got the tuna dish that had a wonderful chili sauce accompanying it. From the blonde hostess at the front who greeted us openly with a warm smile to the manager stopping by to see how our meal was Tommy Bahama's is one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. The only negative thing I can say is that the pretty bus boy wasn't very attentive as he seemed to wander the dining room aimlessly without a purpose. This however did not take away from the overall dining experience.
