My husband and I ate at this restaurant in Naples, FL and loved it. We were delighted to find it at Market Commons and ate there twice during a two week trip. The food is wonderful. The service is excellent. We had the crab cake appetizers and asked the manager on duty if we could possibly have the recipe for the sauce. Within minutes he brought it to our table handwritten by him. The crab cakes were so yummy, but my husband also has a family recipe.

Wow --- for the price not much to the food - little taste - no flavor - shrimp way overcooked - There are too many other choices in the area to go back to this place. Even at half the price it wouldn't be worth the trip. The service was very slow - with lots of attitude...

Dinner is pricey but because of the atmosphere and upscale quality, Tommy Bahama's at Market Commons is our first choice for happy hour, 4pm - 7pm. They sometimes have a Calypso band or Jimmy Buffet type entertainer, sometimes not. They have the best mojitos, made from scratch, I've ever had--pineapple yuzu is a vacation in a glass. Well drinks are $4, generous & fun classic rum drinks $6, premium classics $7, martinis $7, and wine by glass $5 & $7. They have a beautiful outdoor palazzo with tropical planters - with heaters for Feb & Mar - nice except for August and early September - when the heat will chase you inside. The booths in the bar area are very comfortable. The classics are doubles in a tall glass so you are really getting two drinks. From the $5 appetizer menu at Happy Hour in order of preference and best values, I suggest their outrageous coconut shrimp (3), tasty pork riblets (6 ribs), fish tacos (2) and burger sliders (2)--these are served with tasty tropical cole slaw on the side. Split 3 appetizers to make a meal for two. Not that impressed with the quesadilla or goat cheese appetizers - no cole slaw - but they are well prepared. Dinner is good but high priced--I do agree that dinner service seems slow and spotty. I don't understand why they seem to have so many hosts up front compared to wait staff. Bartenders are very attentive.

My husband and I visited the Tommy Bahama's in Destin, FL. The entire staff was very friendly. Our food was wonderful. The complimentary bread and butter are amazing. Even the manager stopped by our table for a friendly chat! We play to visit on our next trip down.

Went in just for dessert (Pina Colada Cake!) after shopping and waited 10 minutes with no one paying attention to me. Was almost ready to leave when a manager came by and asked if I had been helped. I said "no" so he asked to take my to go order. I said I only wanted the cake so he placed the order and when it was ready (in less than 5 minutes) he brought it to me and said it was on the house because I had to wait. So...I am going back for dinner when we go back in September! Will see what improvements have been made to their service.

my family and I are vactionning in mirtle beach and we had a hard time finding a nice restaurant where the food was not saturated in oil.....at tommy bahamas we found a refreshing place, with excellent service, excellent food, comfortable seating, ans we we so pleased with our supper that we plan to go there again. We were with two kids 10 and 11 years old, and they had a lunch they both enjoyed very much. We took the table d'hôte and it we had plenty to eat. From the crab bisque, coconot shrimp, baby back ribs, everything was wonderfull. We recommend this place with or without kids.

My husband and I went to Tommy Bahama the other night and would not go back again. This was our 2nd time (first time had a similar experience but decided to try it again....mistake!) Waited over 10 minutes for a Server to come to take our drink order. Waited a while for the drinks to come and to place our order. Waited 30 minutes after placing our dinner order for bread to come and another 10 minutes after the bread for the appetizer. Finally, we received our dinners. Service was horrible, The Server most of the time was no where to be found and never came back to check on us, etc. Requested more butter for the bread when the dinners arrived but never received it. The food itself was just o.k. The shrimp (I had the Savannah Shrimp) was overcooked and really tough (the rice though was very tasty). Happy Hour house wine was $7.00 a glass (that's Happy Hour pricing???). The atmosphere is really beautifully decorated although the booths are very uncomfortable. We spent over $100 for the two of us and will not go back when the food was just o.k. and the service so bad. We are sticking with the Independents (such as Cagney's and Scatori's Italian where the food quality is superior, and you get more for your dollar and better service plus true happy hour drink pricing.) and staying away from "chains"!

A beautifully decorated restaurant. The type when you walk in you feel you've escaped from the real world. We expected this to be the greatest and would be our #1 restaurant in Myrtle Beach. We were seated in a very nice booth, with lovely comfy pillows! Music was good a bit loud. Restaurant is dark very difficult to read the menu. Ordered and served our drinks, great drinks too ! But that ended the fairy tale. After 45 minutes waiting and wondering. Did our waitress forget about us or left for the night? The hostess whom seated us came by, we told her the situation. Not to long after that our waitress shows up all smiles, saying she was waiting on my husband to finish his beer. ? ? Had we just wanted drinks, we would have sat at the bar. We had not been asked to order anything. There was no apology. We asked for a check, and left. My regret, we should have asked for the manager, not to get anything free, this calibar restaurant should not permit this type non-service mistakes to be made, period ! Maybe that why they have those nice pillows at the booths, and the dark restaurnat, take a nap or spend the night ? So as the saying goes, "All's well that ends well", we went to "Bone Fish" for dinner (our second trip there.) Was Outstanding !!

Sorry to burst the bubbles. Expecting the greatest turned out to be the worst. Beautiful decor, friendly staff. As requested we were seated in a nice booth, waitress takes our drink order, (very good drinks.) After 15-20 minutes, another "pretty face" comes by to welcome us?(thats a guess). So we figure our waitress will show up soon after that. Nope! 45 minutes later waiting for the waitress to "appear" we asked the hostess to find our waitress to fix our situation. Waitress appears with a drink for my husband, but I have no water nor a drink, she did at that time ask if I wanted another drink. We asked for the check and left. My regret, I should have asked to see the manager, not the hostess. Hopefully they will train their waitress staff, to pay attention not forget you have a table with people in it ! Or you could always use those nice pillows and just spend the night !

On a wonderful vacation to Maui, my husband and I ate at Tommy Bahamas in Wailea. What an experience! We were treated like royalty even on a busy night! Likewise here. The atmosphere is relaxing and the food is scrumptious! It will always be one of our favorite restaurants!

Our experience with this restaurant began when we called and asked for reservations. When we got to the restaurant, we realized that this wasn't necessary because there weren't very many people there. It may be more crowded in the summer, but it wasn't bad at all in March. Next, our brunette hostess showed us to our seats. We had a person in our party in a wheelchair, and the restaurant was very good about taking the wheelchair for us. Next, our waitress came to the table. She had a waitress-in-training with her who smiled the whole time and didn't say anything. The waitress gave us a long explanation about the menu and the specials. She took our drink orders and gave us time to decide on our orders. Two of us ordered the Cabo Tacos and the other ordered the Fish Sandwich. While we waited for our order, one of us went and shopped at the shop. The other two of us sat and listened to the live music from the bar. The one who was shopping didn't like the wrinkles in the sweatshirt she was buying, and the saleswoman offered to steam it for her and bring it to the table. After a short wait, our food got to the table. The Cabo Tacos were excellent, but a little spicy. The plantains that came with them were amazing as well. The Fish Sandwich was whale-sized, but very good. The service was great, they were always refilling our drinks. The atmosphere was terrific and the sunset magical. After our dinner, we got a free dessert because we had a coupon from the Marriott. The dessert we ordered was the Brownie. The brownie and the whipped cream it came with were scrumptous, but the ice cream had no taste. All in all, the restaurant was great and we will definitely go again. ALSO, a fun thing to try: Put a small piece of food on your side plate (anything, a slice of orange from your tea, a bun from your sandwich, whatever) and see how long it takes for a waiter/waitress to take the plate away. The service is so good they'll take it within minutes!

Not only is this a beautiful restaurant, the service and food do not disappoint. My husband and I went for lunch on Sunday. It was gloomy and cold outside and the restaurant provided a nice sanctuary with its comfy booths and pillows (yes, pillows) to lounge against if we so desired while we enjoyed our meal. The Bloody Marys were great as were the Coconut Shrimp with asian slaw. The Cabo Tacos were phenomenal! We will make this haunt a must on every trip to the beach!

Tommy Bahamas is a very attractive restaurant with a unique menu. The fresh fish (especially the tuna) is first rate with a great presentation and very interesting sauces and spices. Our group of six all ordered different main courses and all raved about the meal we had. Interesting cocktails and great desserts. The service was very friendly and we were never rushed throughout our meal. Definitley worth a visit for dinner

I went to Tommy Bahama's not knowing what to expect from the Market Commons. Let it be known that I was wildly surprised and taken aback by the professionalism of the knowledgeable staff from the hosts to servers. I ordered a sanibel stuffed chicken due to a recommendation from our asian server named Ben, it was fantastic. My wife got the tuna dish that had a wonderful chili sauce accompanying it. From the blonde hostess at the front who greeted us openly with a warm smile to the manager stopping by to see how our meal was Tommy Bahama's is one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. The only negative thing I can say is that the pretty bus boy wasn't very attentive as he seemed to wander the dining room aimlessly without a purpose. This however did not take away from the overall dining experience.
