Well, let’s see...where do I start? my boyfriend and I chose this restaurant on a whim as we were passing by. It looked fine from the outside. Oh boy did that change once inside! we were seated at a table for two where my boyfriend had to switch his chair due to his first one being broken. The next one wasn't much better. I asked the waitress for a diet coke which she told they were out of. I next asked here for a regular coke which she replied "i think we have a few left." my coke was flat and disgusting. My boyfriend’s beer was warm. My boyfriend asked for a filet in which the waitress had to go check if they had any left. She came back and explained there was only one t-bone left. My boyfriend said fine. She then asked if we wanted any appetizers in which we replied “sure, we'll have the fresh mozzarella and tomato”....i bet you can guess what happened next...they did not have any, of course. Supposedly, this is a seasonal item. Hmmmm. Our dinners came and were nothing short of mediocre for the price. My chicken parmesan tasted like a chicken cutlet that had been the last one cooked in a pan of twenty. The sauce was watery and angel hair pasta was the only choice. The salads were a bed of iceberg lettuce and a few small pieces of tomatoes. Towards the end of our interesting dining experience the waitress, who had now been gone for about 40 minutes, came over to express her apologies for her below average service and proceeded to tell us she was intoxicated because her last table just made her crazy. She blabbered on for another 10 minutes and had the audacity to ask us if we would be "regulars" there. All in all, this restaurant became the comedic relief my boyfriend and I needed after a stressful day. I certainly would not recommend this place to even my worst of enemies..

I am a local, and tonight was the first time eating at the Venetian Italian Grill in Garden City, SC. What an experience....my neighbor and I both ordered the spaghetti & meatballs (the early bird). They use angel hair pasta which was totally over cooked and mushy, and was not drained properly which made it more like a pasta soup with the excess water mixed with the sauce. The spaghetti sauce was not flavorable at all. Also, the dipping oil for the bread tasted like vinegar. The whole experience was just terrible.

We are locals and ate here with a buy one get one free coupon. I ordered the lasagna and must say, Chef Boy Ardee in a can is a better meal. The sauce was terrible and, the Lasagna, worst I have ever had. My husband ordered the seafood marinara over linguine. He was equally unimpressed. We wouldn't eat here again if it was a "get it all free" coupon. Terrible food. They should be going belly up soon!! Very sad.

We are "snowbirds" who try new restaurants each year. Even with the discount, I would not eat here again. Although the food was ok (not spectacular as the previous review stated), we spent too much time waiting for our meal--a simple one. We were in the restaurant over an hour and a half. It was not the waitress' fault....there were only 2 servers for about 8 tables of 4. We were seated promptly, served our drinks promptly, and had our order taken. We were given salad and bread and then waited over an hour for our entrees....the noise coming from the kitchen made it seem as though the cook was having a hard time. Salad was shredded like cole slaw so it was hard to recognize anything but lettuce. Free desert was good, but we would not recommend this restaurant when there are so many excellent Italian eateries in Myrtle Beach

We spend the winter months in Myrtle Beach. We made our first visit to The Venetian last night. The restaurant opens at 5PM. We arrived at about 6PM and were promptly seated by the waitress. After a few minutes, she took our drink order. With the drinks, she brought bread and butter and took our order. After about 10 minutes, she brought the salad, which was Iceburg lettuce (since it was shedded like cole slaw, not much else in it was discernible). Then began the wait. The restaurant seats about 60 and there were about 26 people there seated most in 4's or 2's. Evidently, the kitchen is not able to handle that many as our meal did not arrive until close to 7 PM. Although the food was good, there are many other Italian restaurants here in the same price range, that offer better food and more prompt service. We will not return.

I'm not sure how long they have been open but if they can get the word out they will be packing the place for years to come. Located in a new plaza in Garden City right on Business 17 you might pass by it because it looks like a chain kind of restaurant. But wow, the food is wonderful and the service great. They take reservations and the meals come with a salad and fresh bread with dipping oil and herbs.

We all enjoyed our meals and urge you to check out the Venetian Italian Grill just once. You'll be sure to return again and again. Also check out Restaurant.com for a $25 certificate and the meal is even more affordable than the affordable prices they offer to begin with.
