We went to the Venetian Grill and was greatly surprised. Before when we went it was under different ownership. Now the food is excellent. The service is great. It really improved with the new owners. We will still keep coming back more and more now. We hope that everyone who comes near Garden City or Myrtle Beach checks it out. We cant wait to tell all our friends so they can eat there too.

My Family and I visited Garden City. SC , after travelling from Conn. We are Italian, and were looking for a good Italian Restaurant. We found that and MORE at the Venetian. The owner was charming and personable, and we left feeling like we made a new friend. The food was tasty and generous. The atmosphere was Mediterranean and Familiar. It was the best dining experience we have had in a while. We will be back..

Returned again to this great little place with a friendly atmosphere, great service and food that is truly mouth watering. Had a great bottle of Chianti with my wife and enjoyed their Advertised special Lasagna for 6.99 on Thursday. This is the BEST DEAL on the Grand Strand.

I read some of the reviews and the folks that said the food was good surely don't know good Italian food. It was probably the poorest excuse for Italian food that I've ever had. I got seafood over linguine. It had absolutely no flavor and the chef cut the linguine in half!!!! I couldn't even twirl that tasteless pasta on my fork. That is such a "no-no"! Fortunately, my sister-in-law had ordered extra dipping sauce. I poured the dipping sauce over my linguine and only then was it edible. The owner talked to us at length. He is a really nice guy and we couldn't tell him how lousy the food was. No one liked what they got. I hope he reads this and either gets rid of his "chef" or forces him or her to learn how to cook Italian food. Also...lose the piano player.

My date and I drove for miles around the Myrtle Beach area searching for any restaurant that wasn't a SUPER HUGE BUFFET of some kind. We really wanted a nice meal at a sit-down restaurant. This place was great! Cute little place, romantic atmosphere, live Italian music, and great food! The service was awesome too. We stayed for coffee and dessert, then our server gave us a drink on the house! I had the shrimp, artichoke and mushroom linguine with a delicious red sauce. My date had fettuccine alfredo with shrimp and grouper, it was so rich and creamy. The seafood tasted so fresh and perfectly cooked. Make sure you have the canoli for dessert :)

We were very skeptical about trying The Venetian grill because we asked some locals about it and they knew nothing. Now I know why! It was the worst dining experience ever! We were a party of 6 we arrived about 7PM they had a small party going on with about 15 people. We ordered 3 glasses of wine. we all decided we wanted another glass they had enough for 2 glasses but not for 3 they brought out whatever wine they wanted for the 3rd glass. We were ordering our dinner. The foods we were ordering they were out of. Steak.... Chicken...At that point we should have walked out but didn't because I had a gift certificate for there. We ordered pasta and veal. They asked if we wanted soup or salad with our dinner my husband asked what kind of soup they said they ran out. The food was nothing to brag about we ate because we were all very hungry. BUT I WILL NEVER RETURN OR RECOMMEND THIS PLACE

What a wonderful place to spend an evening! Awesome food. Excellent service. Calming atmosphere. The Staff was as professional as any New York restaurant we've seen. We'll definitely be back. By then, the news will be out though on this place - and the crowds are sure to follow. The Venetian Italian Grill is a cut above on all levels.

We happened into this spot looking for some "good food". Man, were we surprised when the owner himself spent time getting to know us while actually serving us dinner. Good business owners do whatever they have to do to make their new business work - well. Customers at the Venetian Italian Grill are obviously a high priority to this new owner. The food? Well, it was fabulous, and the atmosphere was exceedingly superior. Good people at the Venetian Italian Grill. Hard working, clean, professional, experienced & ready to go the extra mile for their customers. You don't find this kind of treat just anywhere. We plan to enjoy this spot every time we're in Myrtle Beach now. Certainly, this was far above any restaurant experience we've ever had in the area, after almost a decade of visiting. Very nice addition to Myrtle Beach! - Tennessee Family of Three

Authentic Venetian cooking right here in Garden City. Where do I start. The new owners are amazing and they have transformed this into a nicer place. New dishes, glasses and more attention to detail has improved a good place into a great dining experience. This is a must stop if you enjoy good wine, great food and service with a smile. The owners are there every day making sure everyone is completely satisfied. We will be going back weekly as we have had their new pizza as well as daily chalk board specials and they are delightful.

We came in last night from a golf outing with 23 players and the staff was friendly and attentive. The food was made to order and the meals were to die for. Best of all was the live piano player. A local charter captain named Carl who also worked for Celebrity cruise lines. He played a variety of Italian love songs that complimented a fine dining experience. Only one complaint. I will have to wait another year before we come back to play golf again.

We had dinner at the Venetian Grill in Garden City last night. We had a coupon for $25 off and thought it would be fun to try something new.

It was not fun! The decor and music in the restaurant were tacky and laughable. (If I hear "Honeycomb" one more time, I'm going to scream!)

The wine and food were something less than diner quality. Our wine came in a carafe and tasted like it was watered down. We had soup and a salad with the "homemade" Italian dressing. The Italian Bean soup was beef broth, kidney beans with juice from the can, and chopped up pasta. It was thin and flavorless. The salad dressing was oil with salt and pepper. Then came the entrees...Linguine with mussels had about 12 noodles and 6 mussels in a sauce comparable to chef boy r dee. My husband had a seafood pasta that was small and equally poorly made. His pink sauce was exactly the same as my red sauce. After paying a rather hefty bill (1/2 off) we left and were still hungry.

I can't understand why anyone would eat at this restaurant when Old World and several other fine Italian Restaurants are a mile away and serve excellent food. All the wonderful reviews must be written by the owner, because the food STINKS!

From the bacon wrapped shrimp to the veal, the food is out of this world. The chef is straight from Italy and it shows! The atmosphere is beautiful with fun, enjoyable music ranging from italian folk to the rat pack. We walked right in and got a table without a wait, the waitress was right on top of our orders and was very outgoing and polite. My boyfriend and I will definitely be back again!

My husband and I are down here from Connecticut, we stopped in the Venetian Grill just on a whim decided to try it. We were pleasantly surprised when we walked in. The place is beautiful. The menu had many choices which made it a bit difficult to decide however we ordered the Veal Parmagiana and Sicilian Pasta. Both were delicous!!! The house dressing by the way is out of this world and we could have made a meal alone on the bread and dipping oil. The staff were so personable and made us feel so welcome!! We would recommend the food there to anyone who really knows authentic italian and appreciates it. We did!!!!! Thank you Venetian Grill for a wonderful dining experience.

My husband and I come down to the beach on the weekends and have driven by Venetian for months and finally decided to try it. Unfortunately we were underwhelmed. We had two waitresses waiting on us, thus confusing our order and making our dinner hectic and incomplete. The pasta was out of a box and we didn't make the early bird discount pricing so we paid $16 or $17. a plate for something I could have made at home. The beer choices consisted of light beers or Yingling and house wine not worth trying. Atmosphere was nice but the Elvis music should have been replaced by Dean Martin to match the atmosphere. We would recommened that you drive down the street a bit farther and try Nino's-you won't get pasta out of a box and you will get homemade! We won't be back.

My wife and I both loved the Ventian - we've been eating there for a few years. However, i'm wondering if they recently (in the past 12 months) changed their sauce? It just doesns't taste the same as it used to. Somethings missing. Also, neither of us are fans of angel hair pasta and they serve it exclusively. We prefer regular sized spaghetti and can't get it here. We still go to the Venetian - just not as often as we used to. We still like it - we just don't love it anymore.

I had came down for a month to clean my condo out. After all of that comotion we stopped in at the venitian grill for a bite and wow I couldn't belive it......the amont of food we got was amazing I couldn't even eat all of it, it was really good quality and fresh. The salad was chopped finely up so we didnt have to cut it up. And the bread and dipping sauce wow..! I loved it so much I bought some to take home....i cant belive that people would write things bad about this place, maybe they came in and were some picky eaters all I know is im going to leave a menu and the directions to this place in my condo so my renters can experience the real authentic italian food. I would recomend this place to any couple or group of people any day when I come back down I will be eating here again! .

Well, let’s see...where do I start? my boyfriend and I chose this restaurant on a whim as we were passing by. It looked fine from the outside. Oh boy did that change once inside! we were seated at a table for two where my boyfriend had to switch his chair due to his first one being broken. The next one wasn't much better. I asked the waitress for a diet coke which she told they were out of. I next asked here for a regular coke which she replied "i think we have a few left." my coke was flat and disgusting. My boyfriend’s beer was warm. My boyfriend asked for a filet in which the waitress had to go check if they had any left. She came back and explained there was only one t-bone left. My boyfriend said fine. She then asked if we wanted any appetizers in which we replied “sure, we'll have the fresh mozzarella and tomato”....i bet you can guess what happened next...they did not have any, of course. Supposedly, this is a seasonal item. Hmmmm. Our dinners came and were nothing short of mediocre for the price. My chicken parmesan tasted like a chicken cutlet that had been the last one cooked in a pan of twenty. The sauce was watery and angel hair pasta was the only choice. The salads were a bed of iceberg lettuce and a few small pieces of tomatoes. Towards the end of our interesting dining experience the waitress, who had now been gone for about 40 minutes, came over to express her apologies for her below average service and proceeded to tell us she was intoxicated because her last table just made her crazy. She blabbered on for another 10 minutes and had the audacity to ask us if we would be "regulars" there. All in all, this restaurant became the comedic relief my boyfriend and I needed after a stressful day. I certainly would not recommend this place to even my worst of enemies..

I am a local, and tonight was the first time eating at the Venetian Italian Grill in Garden City, SC. What an experience....my neighbor and I both ordered the spaghetti & meatballs (the early bird). They use angel hair pasta which was totally over cooked and mushy, and was not drained properly which made it more like a pasta soup with the excess water mixed with the sauce. The spaghetti sauce was not flavorable at all. Also, the dipping oil for the bread tasted like vinegar. The whole experience was just terrible.

We are locals and ate here with a buy one get one free coupon. I ordered the lasagna and must say, Chef Boy Ardee in a can is a better meal. The sauce was terrible and, the Lasagna, worst I have ever had. My husband ordered the seafood marinara over linguine. He was equally unimpressed. We wouldn't eat here again if it was a "get it all free" coupon. Terrible food. They should be going belly up soon!! Very sad.

We are "snowbirds" who try new restaurants each year. Even with the discount, I would not eat here again. Although the food was ok (not spectacular as the previous review stated), we spent too much time waiting for our meal--a simple one. We were in the restaurant over an hour and a half. It was not the waitress' fault....there were only 2 servers for about 8 tables of 4. We were seated promptly, served our drinks promptly, and had our order taken. We were given salad and bread and then waited over an hour for our entrees....the noise coming from the kitchen made it seem as though the cook was having a hard time. Salad was shredded like cole slaw so it was hard to recognize anything but lettuce. Free desert was good, but we would not recommend this restaurant when there are so many excellent Italian eateries in Myrtle Beach

We spend the winter months in Myrtle Beach. We made our first visit to The Venetian last night. The restaurant opens at 5PM. We arrived at about 6PM and were promptly seated by the waitress. After a few minutes, she took our drink order. With the drinks, she brought bread and butter and took our order. After about 10 minutes, she brought the salad, which was Iceburg lettuce (since it was shedded like cole slaw, not much else in it was discernible). Then began the wait. The restaurant seats about 60 and there were about 26 people there seated most in 4's or 2's. Evidently, the kitchen is not able to handle that many as our meal did not arrive until close to 7 PM. Although the food was good, there are many other Italian restaurants here in the same price range, that offer better food and more prompt service. We will not return.

I'm not sure how long they have been open but if they can get the word out they will be packing the place for years to come. Located in a new plaza in Garden City right on Business 17 you might pass by it because it looks like a chain kind of restaurant. But wow, the food is wonderful and the service great. They take reservations and the meals come with a salad and fresh bread with dipping oil and herbs.

We all enjoyed our meals and urge you to check out the Venetian Italian Grill just once. You'll be sure to return again and again. Also check out Restaurant.com for a $25 certificate and the meal is even more affordable than the affordable prices they offer to begin with.
