Went with friends the waitress never brought our order. When I asked where our food was she actually started arguing with me saying another waitress must have taken it. 2 other people in our group couldn't even eat the food because it was just too greasy.

My wife and I were in MB to visit her uncle. We stopped by Sundown for brunch - chili dogs and bloody marys. It took a little while to get the food but it was worth the wait. The home made potato chips were excellent and the bloody marys were 'kick-ass'. Our waitresses, Connie and Stacy were very nice and Stacy even helped my wife before she even got on the clock. We met two of the owners and had a wonderful time talking with them and the waitresses. I reccomend this place to everyone.

Wasnt too impressed with host 'S' but overall I give this place a 10! Will be back at the end of summer for sure! Thanks for a good time Sundown!

My husband and I have lived here for 3 years now and we have always wanted to go but then we had friends we met that lived here longer than us and they said it was a dump, so we never did. We are no longer friends with them so we decied to try it. We do like it. The food is basic bar food and is priced the same as any other bar. This time of the year there aren't many tourist so seating wasn't a problem. Service was good, Shannon is always on her toes running around waiting tables and thats all you can ask of a server. There are different games to play, like shuffle board, table tennis, and beanbag toss. The only thing I would like to know is their policy on dogs at the bar??? I don't mind if your pet is leashed but I don't think they should allow them to run free.

Spent 2 months in the Myrtle Beach area. First time there we had the Bloody Mary breakfast. Excelent. Check it out for yourself. Service is a little slow, remember you are in the south. Everything is at a slower pace. I love it. After playing golf at least once a week we would stop in for a bite to eat. Bartenders are very friendly. Each time you are there you get a ticket for a drawing. Each day of the week are specials, Very reasonable. I will be sure to return next year.

The Sundown is low down! Unfortunately, the staff doesn't think they need your business (we recently moved to the area and were looking for a locals place), some of the people look like they came with the building. Warm beer, terrible service. Won't be back!

Awful!! The so called bartender "kitty" was beyond rude. She wanted us to close our tab out because SHE was leaving and she was too dumb to ask before how the 5 of us wanted our check. So she choose how to divide our check. I guess these days it gets divided up by sex.... She was to rude and rushed to understand we didn't want our tab divided up the way SHE wanted it. When I had to leave my seat to follow her in order to explain to her how we wanted the check she told me to be quite and huff and puffed and threw a fit like a two year old. I guess that's the way they do things there. Sorry I'm just a paying custumer and my daughter isn't married to the owners. Never knew that entitled you to treat someone like crap and act like you own the place. Then "kitty" enlisted the help of another custumer to keep an eye on us. It is 11 in the morning. We just want food and a drink We are a family that was visiting. Wont make that mistake again. This is after we had to sit there and listen to an argument between employees about amount of time worked. Hello have some respect and go into an office. This place is comical, crazy, and full of interesting people. Good thing it doesnt take any of these great employees to seat you. They let you do that yourself! Typically no wait.

My family & I were here the last week of June. We called ahead b/c we were 11 people. The waitresses were rude, incompentent and annoyed that we asked for ketup for our fries. We ordered drinks and appetizers. After about 1/2 hr they finally came. We waited another 1/2 hour thinking the waitress would come back for our dinner order. When she finally came by and we mentioned we would like to order, she said "Oh, you want more food!" We waited another 1 1/2 hours to get our burgers & fries. I would NEVER, EVER recommend this place & I certainly would never go there again.

We visited The Sundown Restaurant on Surfside Dr. June 24th with a coupon from Restaurant.com. Our server readily accepted the coupon and was quick to serve us. The ribeye steak I ordered had a very good taste and was cooked correctly. My wife ordered the fish sandwich which included a large piece of breaded fish and was good-tasting also. The rum and Coke I ordered most certainly was not watered down. The Sundown has various types of tables to sit at besides the bar area and there is even a picnic table with an umbrella as you might find outside, but was one of the various tables at which to sit inside the restaurant. Without the coupon, the prices were fine, but the fact that they accepted the Restaurant.com coupon made it a great deal. Now that we've eaten at The Sundown and had a very good experience, we will eat there again, and I do recommend that others give this restaurant (and bar) a try.

Sundown use to be one of our favorite places to go, until one night we took some of our friends that were in town and had a waistress that seemed to be dazed and confused on something... She not only had all of food orders wrong but we never got one refill, it was embarresing especially after we had bragged so much, Thankfully after we had to go inside and get the ticket one of our friends ended complaning to the (manager) Lady with Dark Hair, VERY SWEET and she ended up comping some of our meal!! We will still order out on occasion but as far as sitting down that one waistress ruined it for us!

I just got home from Surfside, SC after 10 days of visiting some really good and close friends. They took us here and it was alsome. We came on a reg basis before we checked other places out and just loved it. Charlene was great. She was a really neat and sweet bartender/waitress. My boyfriend and I just loved her. All the others were great too. We are actuaaly thinking about buying in Surfside/Myrtle Beach and then we will probably be there on a regulat basis.

I could not agree more with the comments. This is a fun place, good food, great service, and yes it feels like family. We own a home in Surfside and this is one of my regular stops. My only disappointment is they removed the fried pickles from the regular menu. Last time I was in Surfside they had them as a special. I beg and plead every visit that they add them back on the regular menu.

We just tripped upon this place when we couldn't get seated down the street at the local "burger place on the beach beach". This place has got to be The Best kept secret in Surfside Beach! Everyone - from the bar maids to the staff to the customers - were heappy and welcoming. They treated us like family from the moment we entered the clean, well-kept establishment. The restrooms were spotless, the bar was well maintained and the booths and tables were wiped down after every use. Everything was clean! We ate there every night and tried every special - the Monday meatloaf special is excellent and a steal at only $4.95! The all-u-can eat spagetti dinner is fabulous. The shrimp come directly from the shrimp boats in the low county Georgetown area and they are truly the largest and meatest I have ever seen - cooked with a Old Bay seasoning .... yum! If you stop in, get a table in front of the fire place, have a drink and sit back and relax....you won't be disappointed. Tell them Crazy Kenny from New Jersey sent ya!!

For the past 5 years, we've made an annual golf trip to Myrtle Beach, and stopped-in the Sundown Club for dinner each year (sometimes twice). We usually have 12 golfers on the trip, and we've always been able to get a table together, very quickly. The food is fantastic, and their Happy Hour special for shrimp is one of the best on the beach. The shrimp are huge, and are always cooked perfectly. In fact, they are so good that I've never had anything else to eat there! However, several in our group have had steaks, salads, and sandwiches, and each of them said the food was wonderful.
