If your looking for a hardy meal this isn't the place. For the money you drop here for a meal that's more like a bunch of scraps you could have gone to a good seafood or steak house, ordered the highest priced entrees and stuffed yourself for what these knuckleheads charged. Maybe I will open a restaurant, serve pigs in a blanket, cheese puffs and such, charge them a ridiculous amount of money and call it fine dining like this place does.

We always make reservations so our seating time is short, the food is pricey but the whole experience makes it worth it for special occasions. The best deal is usually the four course special. The staff in these restaurants are always friendly & attentive, even if they are not serving your table directly. Great memories every time!

The Melting Pot is amazing. The delicious food is a little on the pricy side, but it is worth every cent. My family goes to the restraunt usually for special celbrations, considering it is a little expensive. But other then that, the food is excellent, and I would sugggest the Melting Pot to strangers. They start you off with cheese fondue, where you can dip in apples, bread, etc. Next, you boil your own meats, ie;ravioli, chicken, and much much much more! The last part is my personal favorite, I love the chocolate, which allows you to dip in brownies, oreos, marshmellows, cheese cake, etc. Those who don't like being "the chefs" for their own food, should probably grab a dictionary and search up fondue.

We had a great time! I took my son and daughter just for the experience. We opted for the Sat. lunch special -- cheese, entree and chocolate fondues. It was a great time to have a family meal without worrying about distrubing someones romantic evening. We had done this many years ago at a different location, but my children were too young to remember or appreciate how good the food is. They know now! We all ate things we don't normally eat -- and loved it! My son was skeptical of the portions, but we all left satisfied. Our waiter, TJ, was excellent -- very attentive, friendly and willing to answer all of our questions. The Melting Pot is certainly beyond our normal price point for dining out, but we all agreed that we loved it and would want to do it again!

PARADIS. First, let me say that we are french people that could easely explain my writing. We're from Montreal Canada. We are a family of 3, we're visiting MB avery year for the last 5 years. We trued the wunderfull restaurant in 2008 for the first time and beleive me it was something special. Our 3 years old son loves that place ever since that first experience we go back at least 2 times in our stay. The food is a blast, and the chocolat fondu is . . . In french we would say that the Melting Pot is ¨la place¨¸ (the place to be). Try it, you'll love it.

I live in Myrtle Beach and I have to say that The Melting Pot is my favorite restaurant. But, you have to know what your getting yourself into. I had noticed a comment about not enjoying it because you didnt know it was a fondu restauraunt. Its something that you have to want to do for the experience. Personally, The Melting Pot fills me up. Me and my boyfriend always share a single meal of chicken or steak. Nothing big and we get the chocolate desert and that fills us up. If you go and your disappointed, ofcourse your not going to let yourself get full. And, as long as your not putting the uncooked steak on your eating plate there should be no worries about food poisoning.

Let me just say if you come here and complain because the food is raw and you have to cook it look up the websters definition of fondue! This place is awesome the food is great and you'll leave stuffed.Join their club and get the free dessert it'll save about $15! If you're worried about raw food try cutting it before you eat it jeeezzz. I know it was posted in 2005 but come on people. It's self explanitory there's a cheese, salad, meat, and dessert and yes you'll pay $80 but it's worth it and you might get some when you get home?????

My wife and I first tried the Melting Pot in 2000 on the night we got engaged. It was fabulous then and has never let us down when we want a great meal and service. One of my favorite things about this place is that they always remember us when we walk in the door. We are always made to feel like we are somebody special. Shawn is a great host and the waitstaff are all terrific. You will not be disappointed, unless you think fondue involves precooked food.

This place is fantastic! It's perfect if you're visiting Myrtle Beach and you wish to try something other than Seafood or another American dining place you can get at home. The staff was wonderful and attentive, the atmosphere was soft and peaceful. If you think that cheese, salad, and chunks of meat won't fill you, this place will change your mind. They gave us free chocolate covered strawberries they just whipped up in the back and a rose. We were the last ones to leave, but we didn't feel intrusive. Our experience there was unforgettable.

The Melting Pot was SO COOL and AWESOME!! The food was so much fun...you get to cook some of the courses yourself. This place made New Year's Eve AMAZING. My girlfriend LOVED it, i scored so many points for The Melting Pot. They took our picture, which I thought was for their website or something, however they printed it and frames it while we ate and gave us a goody bag along with our picture. The restaurant is very private and romantic. Ever table/booth is seperated by high walls so you feel very secluded. The server I had, Perry, was cool. Took very good care of us and talked just enough to entertain us but stayed away enough that we enjoyed our meal. The food was great. The menu was set except for a few small variation, which was convenient because we had no idea how to begin to order. I don't think this is a place you want to go for a business lunch or and type of professional meeting. It is a very intimate and romantic atmosphere. But, if you want to amaze your significant other with thoughfulness and an amazing evening take her there. The price for dinner was a little high i thought, $69 a person+tax+gratuity and any drinks. My total was $177 but in all honesty it was worth that and more. So, don't be cheap and go to the melting pot!

I have visited many Melting Pots, but the Myrtle Beach location is one of my favorites. The service is always good, but our waitress (college student) this year was better than ever (funny, too!) The Melting Pot is always a hit with women, kids, and teens. Men are usually too impatient to wait for their food to cook (fondue style). I do drag my husband along, and he usually makes the best of it though. Don't dare leave without ordering the dessert (chocolate fondue)! I highly recommend this place if you are traveling with teens. They LOVE this place!!

My boyfriend and I enjoyed a romantic and fun evening at this Melting Pot! We sat at a cute little booth. Anthony called ahead so when we got there, there were roses and balloons at our table and at the end they took our picture and framed it for us!

My boyfriend was very skeptical about cooking our own food since he is the "steak man" and wanted a grilled steak. Our waiter was fantastic, he suggested that we cook our food in the oil style since the oil would make a really juicy steak. AND IT DID! My boyfriend got his filet and enjoyed every bite. Our waiter also showed us how to make stuffed mushrooms with one of the many sauces that we got. They were unbelievable! Also, the experience was fun.

And as good as the cheese and entree were, dessert was by far the best part! We got the 'cookies and cream marshmellow dream' and it was so good, we really felt like we were dreaming! There wasn't anything that wasn't above par! Even my chocolate martini was the best I've ever had.

This is a must-try experience. Great for couples! (and kids would love it too!)

OK, Emmitsburg . . . looks like you don't get out much. OF COURSE the food arrives raw :-}

We go to MB with at least 3 other people and sometimes more. This year we will have 6 other people with us. We CAN'T WAIT to get to the Melting Pot with them. It is such a great atmosphere and is so much fun for everyone to cook their own food. The great part about this is that the wait staff tells you exactly what you need to know about how to cook the food and especially how to avoid any problems with cooking the chicken.

The Bailey's chocolate dessert fondue is to die for! Also, start the meal with the spinach and mushroom salad with their house dressing and the wonderful wine & garlic seasoning.

My wife and I have enjoyed several meals at several different Melting pots. While on our June 06 trip to the beach we decided to try this one. This is one of the best if not the best palce to take your spouse or significant other for a relaxing meal. The staff was more than they needed to be in every aspect all staff members were will to assist anyone not just there on tables. The food was great as always. We made reservations and even showed up 30 minutes early and were seated promptly. The price is a bit high but you get this is one those cases that you get what you pay for.

I love the Melting Pot. It is one of the best restaurants in Myrtle Beach. My husband and I used to live in Myrtle Beach and we went for a lot of special occasions. The food and service is always suberb. If you break down the price for what you get it is worth it. If you do not get the chocolate dessert at the end it is hardly worth going. The atmosphere is really romantic.

On our last night in Myrtle Beach, my husband and I decided to try something "different." We'd had enough seafood, and after watching a 5-minute ad for this place on TV in the hotel, decided we'd try it.

Big mistake. On the up side, I will say we were seated immediately although we had no reservations (partly because we visited after Labor Day). Also, the restaurant's atmosphere is truly romantic, clean, and inviting after a day in the sun. We noticed balloons at a few tables and found out if you call ahead and announce you're celebrating a certain event, they have a package for balloons and flowers and special food. I'm sure there's a charge, and not sure how much. Anyway...this is where the good ends.

My husband and I ordered the "Fondue for Two." It was $56 for a cheese fondue beginning, a choice of 3 salads, and a platter of beef, chicken, shrimp and salmon. For 2 people I didn't think that was too bad. We chose the Cheddar fondue. It was average at best. They give you veggies, green apple chunks and pieces of bread for dipping...but I didn't get much from this I couldn't get with melted Velveeta at home. Then came salads. They were good, no problems here (how can you screw up lettuce and tomatoes?). Then came the shocking part. Again - my husband and I have never dined at a Melting Pot and didn't even know it was a franchise. Imagine our shock to learn your food arrives RAW! Even worse, we had to spend $5 more for what we thought was a "Mojo" cooking style...the waitress literally squeezed lemon and a pinch of garlic into the broth - for $5?!

So there we were, hungry, and appalled by the fact that we had to drop piece by piece of our meats and fish into the broth, carefully mind my husband's second hand on the watch, and then cross our fingers hoping and praying any food posioning stays at bay. I'm sorry, but for that much money I do NOT expect to be cooking my own food...especially not while on "vacation!" I had expected dipping chunks of food, but I expected they'd be cooked! It felt gross and wrong...I don't like my food still mooing, clucking, or anything...so this was weird to us.

By the end of the meal (which we picked at) we had a bill of $74! We each did have a drink (a cosmo and a mojito) but this was crazy! The night prior, we dined at Sea Blue in North Myrtle Beach and had gourmet cuisine, 2 drinks, a dessert, and the bill was $67! This place was a rippoff if you ask me. The waitress, though a nice lady, felt more like a salesman than a server! She was PUSHING the $70 "Big Night Out" package as if she gets commission on it! I will say the chocolate menu was tempting, more reasonably priced, and I'm sure if you do select a chocolate fondue you'll be happy - I had to skip it because of feeling like I'd already been taken for a ride on an overpriced, RAW meal where WE were the chefs! We drove back to the hotel anticipating food poisoning...none came, but needless to say, I'll stick to my Velveeta at home, NOT have to pay to cook it myself, and I'd advise you truly be prepared for this if you decide to dine here.
