Went to the Barrel with my husband and kids while on vacation. My daughter and I loved the homemade chicken fingers. Wings and blue cheese were very good! Nice down to earth place!

This is THE BEST SPOT ON THE BEACH!! I have lived in Myrtle Beach for 15 years and have been a regular at The Barrel for the last 3 years. The owners are the friendliest, down to earth, family oriented people around. The owners son's are the bartenders and are just as friendly as their parents. Not to mention 2$ vodka drinks all the time, 1/2 off ladies on Saturday Nights and daily drink specials make this also the cheapest bar I have ever been. To top everything off food is great especially the pizza! Always consistent and never any drama makes this the best place around you must check it out!

While in a few weeks ago I came across one of the friendliest bars I have ever been in. As soon as you walk in you are immediatly greeted by the bartenders, owners an other guest. not to mention 3 of the coolest dogs ever winston, bandit, and pepper. The owners Judy Joe, Chad and Doane have definatly made this the friendliest place in MB to relax watch some sports an enjoy some great conversation. So if ever in Myrtle Beach look The Barrel Bar & Skinny's Grill up...cheap food and drinks wings and the pizza were AWSOME!!!

This will definitely be our new go-to bar when in Myrtle Beach! GREAT pizza and wings! Its a family run business and the owners are such friendly people. We stopped in for lunch and ended up going back for dinner and drinks. I am just sorry we didn't realize it was there years ago.

I have to say that this bar has the friendliest staff you will find. They make you feel welcome the minute you walk in the door. We went in to grab a beer before heading back to our hotel room for the night, and made a point to go back the next night before we left town. Great conversation and great beer on tap. A must if you're looking for a place to relax and have a drink. We will be back next time we are in town!

While in Myrtle Beach, we learned of The Barrel Bar & Skinny's Grill from people at our hotel. This is by far the greatest local bar anywhere. Judy, Joe, Doane, Chad, Cory and Whip are tops. Everyone greets you as you enter and allows all present to become part of their bar family. We were told that the menu has been upgraded - still bar food, but pizzas and wings that melt in our mouth. We were there during Happy Hour and found the drink/beer prices to be the best anywhere as well as the food prices. Pepper, the owners mini-schnauzer also is around to greet everyone and is so cute sitting at the bar have a shot of pineapple juice. There's a sign over the bar that reads, "Enter As Strangers - Leave As Friends". There have never been words so true. The locals and staff make everyone in the place feel at home and welcome. We will certainly return there when in Myrtle Beach.

My girlfriend and I took a walk looking for a spot to eat lunch on our last day in Myrtle Beach and randomly came across 'the Barrel." There were only a few people in the place when we went but it was so relaxing and low-key. I ordered a 12 inch pizza for 7 dollars! The pizza was phenomenal after a disappointing experience with Ultimate California Pizza. You really can't ask for a more friendly and economical choice in Myrtle Beach. I will definitely return to "The Barrel" for another pepperoni pizza (comes w/oregano sprinkled on for a little added greatness) and fat tire on draft!

This bar is in a terrible location and the management is horrible. When we were there, the wings we got were dripping with flavorless oil and the bartenders were extremely rude when we expressed our dissatisfaction. My cousin also found three separate curly hairs in his chicken fingers. It was disgusting, and again, the bartenders were quite rude and refused to record a complaint for the owners and refused to replace the order. Also, a decent band was playing in the VERY small common area, and on their set break, I was told that the management was paying this 7-piece funk band $50 for the night --- they were told they would get $50 PER MAN but because the bar had a slow night (which I understand is the norm for this bar), they paid the band $50 total and said the band had "misunderstood" the terms of the agreement! Ha! Anyway, there are 1,400 restaurants/bars in the Myrtle Beach area. This is not where you want to spend your time or money. Odds are you could plant your finger on a spinning globe and end up in a better place.

You want to go "where everybody knows your name"? The Barrel is one of the best 'local' bars in Myrtle Beach. The bartenders - Chad, John and Mags - make everyone feel like they are family. The people who enjoy themselves here care about it. Everyone, whether a local or visitor, is greated by those around the bar with an honest 'hello, how you doing'. BTW, this place has the largest, best chicken wings on the beach and great North Carolina style barbecue. Not really a place for kids, but there are 2 pool tables and great games like bowling, darts, etc. Enjoy it for what it is - a teriffic neighborhood tavern - and you can't help notice the many wide screen, HD TV's for any college or pro football game that is broadcast. Come one, come all! A great place to spend an afternoon or evening for sports, fun and great company.

The friendliest bar on the Grand Strand. Good food, good drink and nice people. It can't be beaten. Chad, Mags and John make you feel at home the moment you walk in the door. Sign over the bar says "enter as strangers, leave as friends". That is what happens!

My favorite "Watering Hole" on the Grand Strand. Sure the quality of the food and beverage pricing is great, but the total charm of the place, its' people, its' patrons...brings me back every time !! Try Tim's pulled pork & home-made cole slaw !! Suggestions: Judy/John-wear stilts behind the bar. Chad-no more interviews with Glamor Magazine without Terry present. Mags-You are the best on Valentine's Day !.

Beer is beer, the food is great (esp. The bbq), but the best thing about the barrell is the people. Joe, judy, chad and pepper make everyone feel like family. They have become our myrtle beach family and I will continue visiting the mb area specifically to see these people. I can always count on great conversation and great company in this place. The camaradie can be felt walking through the door. I love this bar! cindy from tennessee.

We found The Barrel by accident while driving North on Kings Hwy and decided to stop for a cocktail. When walking in the front door, the atmosphere felt cozy and comfortable. Other customers seated at the bar spoke to us and welcomed us. After being welcomed by Chad, the bartender, he told us to be seated whereever we'd like and he'd be right with us. Within two minutes he was at our table, and again welcomed us to The Barrel, asked our names and where we were from. Within two to three minutes we were served our cocktails. The jukebox was playing at a reasonable level - it was Happy Hour. It was explained that during the 4-7 pm Happy Hour, the music is kept to a level where people can carry on a conversation - late night the noise level may rise. Within a few minutes of being served, other staff from The Barrel and customers welcomed us and made us feel completely at home. We did not eat, but looked at the menu and it all looked good with your typical bar food - wings, bar-be-que, sandwiches, fries, etc. We will eat next time. If you're looking for a quiet, cozy and "homey" atmosphere then stop by The Barrel and visit the staff and many locals.

My wife an I were in Myrtle Beach a few weeks back. We were looking for a nice local pub. While driving we saw a small place and decided to stopped at The Barrel Bar & Grill. As soon as we walked in the bartender Chad greeted us. This has got to be the friendliest place in Myrtle Beach to go. By time we left, we knew everyone in the place. Also some of the best bbq we have ever eaten. So if you are ever in Myrtle Beach SC look these guys up.. Thanks for such a great time. Liel & Gina

Great local bar. Joe, Judy and Chad greet everyone in a feel-at-home manner. Not the cheapest happy hour in town but still a real value. Our home away from home. Hit the happy hour early and meet some locals. They're all very nice and happy to allow you in on their conversations.

They will be serving BBQ starting May. Food menu not extensive. GREAT wings.

Just a great place. We hit it most everyday when we're down there.
